Abstract

Abstract : Pre Menstrual Syndrome (PMS) is a collection of physical symptoms, psychological, and emotions associated with the woman's menstrual cycle and consistently occur during the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle due to hormonal changes associated with the current cycle of ovulation (release of eggs from the ovary) and menstruation. Some of the complaints were felt during PMS, such as headache, back pain, breast pain, sleep disorders, and more than a few complaints can cause anxiety in women with PMS. This research was conducted observational analytic with cross sectional method. levels of anxiety and sleep quality in adolescent girls (as dependent variable). The sample used in this research were 30 students. Total sampling is a sampling technique in which the number of samples is equal to the population. there is a significant correlation between the severity of PMS with the level of anxiety. A positive correlation coefficient indicates that the relationship between the severity of PMS with anxiety levels. The more severe or severe PMS level, the level of anxiety is also heavier. Conversely, the mild severity of PMS, the anxiety level is also lighter. There is a significant correlation between the severity of PMS with the quality of sleep. Abstract

Background: One death can cause nine bereavements. Considering the impact of human loss, studies on grief are crucial for better bereavement care services.   Purpose: This study examined studies on grief conducted in Indonesia. Indonesian grief research mapping will identify study gaps and suggest further research.   Methods: The reporting for a scoping review adhered to the PRISMA (preferred reporting elements for systematic review and meta-analysis) statement for a scoping review. A systematic screening was performed in MedLine, Embase, CINAHL, Web of Science, Scopus, and PubMed, as well as manual searches via Google Scholar, Portal Garuda, and relevant studies without language and date restrictions. The data retrieved in the literature were analyzed descriptively, and the themes were developed using NVivo software. Results: Based on the 18 included studies, the types of grief studies in Indonesia can be divided into pre- and after-loss grief areas. Regarding the themes of the studies that have been conducted in Indonesia, five themes can be derived, related to (1) study purposes, (2) cause of grief, (3) population, (4) concept being studied, and (5) outcomes being studied. Conclusion: There is significant room for growth in the grief research field in Indonesia. It will be vital for researchers in Indonesia to perform additional studies on pre-loss grief, other studies connected to interventional trials, and further studies examining variation in the outcomes.

Abstract

Introduction: Suicide remains a significant global health and social problem, with Indonesia showing a lower suicide rate compared to other Asian countries. However, the underreporting of cases in Indonesia suggests that the incidence rate of suicide is higher than documented. This study aimed to identify the risk of suicide among Indonesian college students. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted involving 557 students from three universities across Java Island, recruited using the purposive sampling method. The Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation (BSSI) was used to assess suicide risk.  The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine the prevalence of suicide-related outcomes. Additionally, linear regression analysis was conducted to examine the associations between suicide risk, suicidal ideation, suicide planning, and self-control in relation to age, sex, and year of study. Results: The average suicide risk among college students was 4.04 (SD= 6.60; 95%CI = 3.49 – 4.59) out of 38, indicating a generally low risk. However, 34.6% of students experienced the desire to die at least once, and 12.7% had a strong desire to make active suicide attempts. Furthermore, 15.8% of students found suicide an acceptable solution to their problems. Gender was found to be significant predictor of overall suicide risk, ideation and self-control. Conclusions: These findings highlight the need for targeted interventions and support for college students to prevent suicide and promote mental well-being.

Abstract

The National HIV/AIDS Strategy predicts that 86% of people with HIV (PLHIV) worldwide will know their HIV status by 2022, the remaining 14% do not know that they have HIV and still need access to HIV testing services. As an effort to realize the Sustainable Development Goals and to reduce the incidence of HIV/AIDS by 2030, the Indonesian Ministry of Health needs to design and implement appropriate prevention mechanisms related to HIV/AIDS by conducting early detection of HIV, namely by empowering Community Health Centers to provide HIV testing services and counseling. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing HIV testing at Public Health Centers among women of childbearing age in Indonesia. This study uses a cross-sectional design with data from the 2017 Indonesian Demographic Health Survey (SDKI). Data were analyzed using the logistic regression. The variable in this study were demographic sharacteristics and HIV testing. HIV testing at Public Health Centers among childbearing age in Indonesia was at 32.5%. Several factors influencing HIV testing were identified, including region (OR: 1.22, 95% CI: 1.10 - 1.35), wealth index (OR: 0.82, 95% CI: 0.74 - 0.91), residence (OR: 0.82, 95% CI: 0.74 - 0.91), health insurance coverage (OR: 1.15, 95% CI: 1.04 - 1.27), level of knowledge (OR: 0.92, 95% CI: 0.83 - 1.01), stigma (OR: 0.81, 95% CI: 0.73 - 0.90), and AIDS knowledge source from health professionals (OR: 1.90, 95% CI: 1.70 - 2.12). To optimize HIV testing coverage, healthcare workers should enhance awareness by providing comprehensive HIV/AIDS education. This can be done through various media, such as posters, brochures, and community-involved seminars. The government must ensure HIV testing services are accessible in all regions, including rural and remote areas. Additionally, continuous monitoring and evaluation of HIV testing programs at Public Health Centers are necessary. This will help improve and tailor programs to meet community needs and address influencing factors effectively.

Abstract

Introduction: Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) affects millions of women worldwide, characterized by physical and psychological symptoms that occur cyclically before menstruation. In Indonesia, understanding and managing PMS remains challenging due to social stigma and lack of awareness. The Premenstrual Change Coping Inventory (PMS-Cope) is a validated tool designed to measure mental strategies used to adapt to menstrual cycle changes. However, no validated Indonesian version exists, creating a significant gap in research and clinical practice for Indonesian womens. The research evaluated the translation and validation of the premenstrual change coping inventory (PMS-Cope) in Indonesia. Methods: 321 Indonesian women were included in this study. PMS-Cope used Cronbach's alpha and convenience sampling. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was used in this study to determine factor structure and evaluate the structural model fit. Confirmatory factor analysis was also used in this study. Results: The Cronbach's alpha value for the study was .90 overall. The CFA results for this study showed goodness of fit. The comparative fit index was .91, the related fit index (RFI) was .80, and the normed fit index was .83. The value of the Kaiser–Meier–Olkin test was .873, and Bartlett’s test value of sphericity was statistically significant and indicated adequate EFA. Conclusion: The result of this study showed that the PMS-Cope has satisfactory reliability and validity for evaluating PMS-cope in Indonesia.
