Abstract

This community service-based research aims to find out the application of customary law for immigrant communities in Sorong City, identify and find stakeholder efforts towards the application of customary law for immigrant communities in Sorong City. This service-based research was carried out in the city of Sorong, with the type of research assistance using the Participation Action Research (PAR) approach. The assisted object is the Bugis Tribe as one of the Migrant Tribes. The Bugis tribe is one of the tribes in Sorong City which is often the perpetrators and victims of OAP. Owned Resources are KKM Bone Management and the Bone Community in Sorong City. The parties involved in this research were the Research Team, Head of Traditional Actors and Victims, Sorong City Religious Leaders, and Sorong City Community Leaders. The results of this devotion-based research show: First, the application of OAP customary law for immigrant communities in Sorong City is paying fines to victims of OAP in the form of money agreed upon by the traditional leaders of both parties and facilitated and witnessed by the Police. Pay the fine as a form of restriction, protection and self-esteem for OAP. Second, the efforts of stakeholders towards the application of customary law for immigrant communities in Sorong City are carrying out socialization activities for Papuan customary law, workshops on Papuan customary law, and prevention activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai-nilai Islam serta implikasinya terhadap kedisiplinan waktu peserta didik di MTs Sains Algebra Kota Sorong. Urgensi penelitian ini didasarkan pada masih ditemukannya kesenjangan antara pelaksanaan program keagamaan secara institusional dengan konsistensi perilaku disiplin waktu peserta didik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi wakil kepala madrasah bidang kesiswaan, wali kelas, guru pendidikan agama Islam, serta peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter telah diimplementasikan secara sistematis melalui program pembiasaan religius, keteladanan pendidik, serta penguatan kultur dan regulasi waktu madrasah. Implementasi tersebut berkontribusi dalam membentuk pemahaman moral dan kesadaran afektif peserta didik mengenai pentingnya disiplin waktu. Namun demikian, temuan penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa kedisiplinan waktu belum sepenuhnya berkembang sebagai kemampuan manajemen diri yang stabil pada seluruh peserta didik. Ketidakkonsistenan perilaku disiplin waktu dipengaruhi oleh faktor regulasi diri, lingkungan keluarga, serta kebiasaan digital. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan karakter berbasis nilai-nilai Islam telah berfungsi pada aspek moral knowing dan moral feeling, namun masih memerlukan penguatan pada aspek moral behavior melalui pendampingan reflektif dan pengembangan keterampilan manajemen diri peserta didik.

Abstract

Memorizing the Qur’an is a vital activity in Islamic education, fostering students’ spiritual values, discipline, and learning responsibility. However, the monitoring of memorization often lacks systematic instruments. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the student profile book in monitoring the Qur’an memorization of ninth-grade students at MTs Sains Algebra, Sorong City, and and its impact on monitoring students' memorization. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation involving teachers, students, and parents. Data were analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the student profile book was developed to meet the school’s need for a structured system to monitor memorization and to engage parents in continuing the learning process at home. The book is designed to be simple, clear, and easy to understand, involving all relevant parties. In practice, students submit their memorization to the class teacher according to a set schedule, and the book is periodically handed over to parents. Its implementation enhances structured monitoring, improves memorization quality, discipline, motivation, and strengthens collaboration between the school and parents. The study implies that the student profile book is an effective evaluative, collaborative, and strategic tool for supporting Qur’an learning in schools.
