Abstract

The poultry farming industry plays an important role in supplying affordable animal protein. However, egg sorting processes are still commonly performed manually, resulting in inefficiency and inconsistent classification. This research proposes an Internet of Things (IoT)-based egg sorting monitoring system utilizing an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a load cell sensor for weight measurement and an LDR sensor for shell quality evaluation. The system automatically classifies eggs and transmits monitoring data in real time to the Thinger.io web platform. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system achieves high classification accuracy with minimal measurement error. The implementation of this system indicates that IoT technology can significantly enhance efficiency, accuracy, and digital data accessibility in poultry farming.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the feasibility of the grounding system and leakage current in the electrical installation of the Menara Building based on the Indonesian Electrical Installation Standard (PUIL) 2011. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method through direct field measurements using a Kyoritsu 4200 Earth Clamp Tester to measure grounding resistance and a clamp meter to measure leakage current in the distribution panels. The results showed that the grounding resistance value of the transformer grounding system was 11.17 Ω, exceeding the standard limit of ≤ 5 Ω and therefore failing to meet the required standard. Leakage current measurements indicated that several distribution panels were classified as hazardous (>30 mA), particularly those located on the 2nd, 7th, 8th, and 9th floors. In conclusion, the grounding system and several distribution panels in the Menara Building are not yet feasible according to PUIL 2011 standards and require technical improvements to enhance the safety and reliability of the electrical installation system.   Keywords: Electrical Installation; Grounding; Leakage Current; PUIL 2011; Grounding System

Abstract

The process of determining the levels of drug raw materials using the titration method in pharmaceutical laboratories is generally still carried out manually, potentially causing inaccuracy in determining the titration endpoint. This study aims to design and implement an automatic drug titration control and identification system using an Internet of Things (IoT)-based RGB color sensor. The system is controlled by a built-in ATmega 2560 WiFi microcontroller integrated with a dosing pump as an actuator for adding titrant and a DC motor as a solution stirrer. The RGB sensor is used to detect color changes in the solution until it reaches orange as an indicator of the titration endpoint. The results of the titration process, in the form of process time and titrant volume, are sent in real-time via WhatsApp notifications. Tests were conducted on several drug raw materials, namely stearic acid, boric acid, and citric acid. The test results showed that the system was able to work as designed with titration results close to the manual method, with the highest accuracy level reaching 98.7%. This system is expected to improve the efficiency and consistency of the titration process in pharmaceutical laboratories.
