Abstract

Kreativitas redaktur Tempo dalam mengemas tanda-tanda visual melalui karikatur sampul majalah menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi pembacanya. Karikatur tidak hanya mempertimbangkan sifat estetis semata, namun juga mengedepankan penyampaian pesan yang dapat menggugah daya kritis masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna pada konstruksi tanda yang ditampilkan oleh redaktur Tempo pada sampul majalah edisi tanggal 22-28 Januari 2024 dengan judul Omon-Omon BANSOS Pendekatan kualitatif melalui paradigma konstruktivisme menjadi pijakan dasar dalam pelaksanaan penelitian. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa tanda-tanda simbolik berbentuk karikatur, lalu dianalisis berdasarkan teori Semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa redaktur Tempo mewakili penyampaian kritik terhadap indikasi penyalahgunaan kekuasaan pemerintahan Jokowi terhadap kebijakan penyaluran bantuan sosial, bantuan sosial yang seharusnya dijadikan sebagai sarana meningkatkan kesejahteraan rakyat, malah dijadikan sebagai alat tunggangan politik untuk meningkatkan elektoral pasangan calon Prabowo-Gibran.

Abstract

Ilmu komunikasi, sebagai salah satu disiplin ilmu sosial, memfokuskan kajiannya pada fenomena human communication, yang dalam perspektif ontologis ilmu komunikasi disebut sebagai obyek forma ilmu. Fenomena ini terjadi pada beberapa level konteks, seperti interpersonal, group, public or rhetoric, organizational, dan mass. Salah satu teori yang menjelaskan fenomena human communication pada level interpersonal adalah teori penetrasi sosial atau Social Penetration Theory, yang diusulkan oleh Irwin Altman dan Dalmas Taylor. Teori ini menggambarkan pola pengembangan hubungan yang melibatkan proses penetrasi sosial, di mana individu bergerak dari komunikasi superficial ke komunikasi yang lebih intim. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan Social Penetration Theory dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipan, lalu dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teori penetrasi sosial memperlihatkan tahapan-tahapan proses komunikasi yang melibatkan pembukaan diri dari tingkat yang dangkal hingga yang lebih dalam, dan penerapan teori ini dapat ditemui dalam berbagai hubungan interpersonal. Meskipun memiliki kelebihan dalam memahami dinamika hubungan interpersonal, teori ini juga memiliki kelemahan dalam mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor lain yang memengaruhi pengungkapan diri. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai teori penetrasi sosial serta implikasinya dalam konteks kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Hak untuk memperoleh bantuan hukum merupakan hak asasi bagi seseorang yang terkena masalah hukum. Sebab memperoleh bantuan hukum merupakan salah satu bentuk akses terhadap keadilan bagi mereka yang berurusan dengan hukum. Memperoleh bantuan hukum juga merupakan salah satu perwujudan dari persamaan di depan hukum. Prinsip equality before the law ini sudah dimuat dalam pasal 28D ayat (1) Undang-Undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia Tahun 1945 (selanjutnya disingkat UUD NRI Tahun 1945), yaitu bahwa setiap orang berhak atas pengakuan, jaminan, perlindungan, dan kepastian hukum yang adil serta perlakuan yang sama di hadapan hukum. Namun timbul beberapa masalah yakni Apakah sumber daya manusia dan infrastruktur yang disediakan oleh lembaga bantuan hukum di Kolaka Timur cukup memadai untuk menangani jumlah kasus yang melibatkan masyarakat miskin dan Apa saja faktor-faktor penghambat, baik dari sisi regulasi maupun praktik, yang dihadapi masyarakat miskin di Kolaka Timur dalam mengakses layanan bantuan hukum secara gratis atau terjangkau. Jawaban akan Hal tersebut merupakan konsekuensi Negara Indonesia sebagai negara hukum. Sebagaimana ditegaskan pada Pasal 1 ayat (3) UUD NRI Tahun 1945. Bantuan hukum bagi masyarakat miskin merupakan hak yang dijamin oleh Undang-Undang No. 16 Tahun 2011 tentang Bantuan Hukum, yang bertujuan untuk memberikan akses keadilan bagi kelompok yang tidak mampu secara finansial. Namun, dalam praktiknya, masih banyak hambatan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat miskin, terutama di Kabupaten Kolaka Timur, yang menyebabkan akses terhadap bantuan hukum menjadi terbatas. Oleh karenanya penulis melakukan penelitian di Kolaka Utara. Penelitian ini emiliki manfaat yang signifikan baik secara teoritis maupun praktis. Secara teoritis, penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan ilmu hukum, khususnya dalam bidang bantuan hukum dan akses keadilan bagi masyarakat miskin, serta memperkaya literatur mengenai penerapan hukum di Indonesia. Penelitian ini juga membantu memperjelas konsep akses hukum dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat miskin, memberikan dasar yang kuat bagi pembuat kebijakan untuk merumuskan regulasi yang lebih responsif terhadap kebutuhan mereka. Dari sisi praktis, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi masalah dalam penerapan bantuan hukum di lapangan, sehingga rekomendasi yang dihasilkan dapat digunakan untuk mengoptimalkan pemberian bantuan hukum, termasuk penyederhanaan prosedur dan peningkatan sosialisasi tentang layanan yang tersedia. Implementasi hak ini di Kolaka Timur masih menghadapi tantangan serius, baik dari aspek sumber daya manusia, kesadaran masyarakat, infrastruktur, maupun dukungan kebijakan daerah. Keterbatasan tenaga profesional, minimnya fasilitas, dan ketiadaan anggaran khusus menghambat Lembaga Bantuan Hukum (LBH) dalam memberikan layanan optimal. Selain itu, rendahnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang hak hukum mereka memperburuk akses terhadap bantuan hukum. ketiadaan peraturan daerah (perda) yang mengatur secara komprehensif penyelenggaraan bantuan hukum. Hal ini mencerminkan kurangnya komitmen pemerintah daerah dalam menjamin hak atas keadilan hukum bagi kelompok rentan. Tanpa perda, implementasi Undang-Undang Nomor 16 Tahun 2011 tentang Bantuan Hukum di tingkat lokal menjadi tidak efektif, karena tidak adanya dukungan regulasi, anggaran, dan mekanisme yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan daerah.

Abstract

Children's fable stories are closely related to good values that become a supporting tool for children's growth process. Since narrative in storytelling is critical, this study aims to dissect the potential and functional structure in narratological studies and explore the moral values in the fabled story Al-Nahlah wa An-Namlah by Ridwan Syukri. This story is one of the Arabic children's stories in the Qashah lil Athfal anthology, with most of the stories belonging to the fable genre. The theory used in this research is narratology based on the perspective of A.J. Greimas. The method applied is descriptive qualitative. The data sources in this research are divided into two: (1) primary data sources, namely the fabled story An-Nahlah wa An-Namlah by Ridwan Syukri, and (2) secondary data sources, which are taken from various literature reviews to support the analysis process in this study. The data analysis technique follows the perspective of Miles and Huberman, which includes data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that the story of Al-Nahlah wa An-Namlah has a perfect actantial structure. In addition, the functional structure fulfills all the required stages according to the functional structure in general. After analyzing both structures, the researcher concluded that there are two central values, namely (1) hard work and (2) care, which are undoubtedly essential to introduce to children to have moral learning since childhood.

Abstract

The French department conducts a community service in the form of language training in Makassar as a part of the program planned of department.fThe target community for this service activity are french teachers/instructors in Makassar. This activity is designed to provide knowledge and skills for teachers/instructors to improve their pedagogical abilities so they can teach french in an easy and fun way to their students. In this service activity, the partners involved are Alliance Francaise (AF) Makassar, Warung Prancis (WP) Unhas, and schools that have french language teaching in their curriculum. Each participating partner sends teachers/instructors to become active participants in the training. Apart from that, partners also help carry out activities and provide training venues. The basic benefit of this activity is to equip french teachers/instructors with various methods and techniques for teaching french as foreign language (FLE), which is expected to increase students’ interest, attention and motivation to learn french language. The output of this service is a collection of methods and techniques (manuals) for teaching french with an actional approach. Apart from that, publications in national journals and local/national media are supporting outputs for activities. The results of the service provide an indication of the participants’ absorption of the material as shown through the participants’ enthusiasm and active participation during the training. Abstract

The low enthusiasm for learning students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is caused by learning methods that are still monotonous and less interesting for students. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of technology-based inquiry methods can increase students' enthusiasm for learning in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects at SMK NU Sunan Ampel Poncokusumo through the application of technology-based inquiry methods. This method was chosen because it can encourage students to participate actively and be more enthusiastic in the learning process and can make them think critically. With the integration of technology, the learning process becomes more interactive and interesting. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type as its research method. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation instruments. The results showed that the technology-based inquiry method can increase students' active participation in learning, as well as create a more interactive and interesting learning atmosphere. The integration of technology in Islamic Religious Education learning can make students more independent in exploring material widely, improve critical thinking skills and can reduce boredom in the learning process. However, this study also found several challenges and obstacles in implementing this method, including limited internet access, teacher readiness in implementing the method, and obstacles in time management in the learning process. Thus, this study contributes to the development of more effective and innovative learning strategies in the school environment.

Abstract

Advertising serves as a communication medium through which brands promote their products and construct persuasive messages for consumers. Baby product advertisements, such as those for Mamypoko Pants diapers, not only promote but also create myths that shape parents’ perceptions. This study aims to analyze the myths represented in Mamypoko Pants baby diaper advertisements using Roland Barthes’ semiotic theory. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with the main data source takenfrom the official Mamypoko Pants YouTube channel. Verbal and nonverbal elements in the advertisements were examined to identify meanings at both denotative and connotative levels, leading to the discovery of underlying myths. The first level (denotative meaning) reveals the product’s identity and the advantages emphasized in the advertisements. Meanwhile, the second level (mythic meaning) shows how culturalvalues are embedded within the ads. The study found that the myths constructed in theMamypoko Pants advertisements include comfort, freedom, excellence, and happiness, all of which work together to persuade consumers. This study contributes to the understanding of how semiotic analysis can uncover socio-cultural meanings in contemporary advertising, particularly within Indonesia’s consumer culture.

Abstract

:The purpose of this research is to describe the efforts to enhance students' learning experiences based on spiritual growth within the independent curriculum at MI Negeri 2 Probolinggo. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The data collection techniques used are interviews with the Head of the Madrasah, the Curriculum Deputy, and two subject teachers, as well as documentation. Data analysis is conducted through three interactive steps: (1) data condensation; (2) data display; and (3) conclusion drawing and verification. Data validity is ensured through source triangulation.The research results indicate that P5, which includes self-potential development, self-empowerment, self-understanding, self-improvement, and students' social roles, is part of the spiritual growth process in the independent curriculum aimed at enhancing students' learning experiences tailored to their needs. The enhancement of learning experiences cannot be achieved through mere verbal exposure. Learning experiences are obtained through various learning activities as mentioned above. This implies that the subject matter functions more as a means rather than an end. The spiritual growth approach in this independent curriculum illustrates various activities that are not only based on religious values but also uphold the affective aspects that students should possess.
