Abstract

Desa Sukorejo di Kecamatan Bangsalsari merupakan salah satu sentra kedelai di Kabupaten Jember namun 3 tahun terakhir mengalami penurunan produksi yang disebabkan biaya produksi tidak sebanding dengan pendapatan yang diperoleh. Salah satu upaya untuk menekan biaya produksi adalah dengan menekan penggunaan pupuk kimia. Pupuk N atau pupuk urea pada pertanaman kedelai dapat diganti dengan penggunaan pupuk hayati yang dibuat dari bakteri Rhizobium spp. yang memiliki kemampuan memfiksasi Nitrogen dari udara. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan  pembuatan pupuk N dari Rhizobium menjadi bentuk granular dan cair. Pupuk dalam bentuk granul efisien dalam aplikasinya karena tidak mudah tercuci. Pupuk dalam bentuk cair memiliki keuntungan dapat langsung diserap di perakaran dan dapat membantu merevitalisasi daya olah tanah dan mengemburkan media tanah dengan optimal. Berdasarkan hasil panen demplot yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa tanaman kedelai yang diberi perlakuan Rhizobium memberikan hasil yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan tanaman kedelai kontrol.

Abstract

Pengecatan adalah suatu proses aplikasi cat dalam bentuk cair pada sebuah obyek, untuk membuat lapisan tipis yang kemudian membentuk lapisan keras atau lapisan cat. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kualitas pengecatan adalah bahan yang digunakan, temperatur saat pengecatan, serta keahlian dalam mengecat. Penelitian ini meneliti tentang daya lekat dan daya kilap cat denganvariasi temperatur pengecatan dan viskositas cat yang diterapkan pada bodi kendaraan berbahan ABS. Penelitian daya kilap cat dilakukan di PT Mataram Paint Surabaya, sedangkan pengujian daya lekat cat dan pembuatan spesimen dilakukan di laboratorium otomotif Politeknik Negeri Jember. Hasil pengujian nilai daya kilap terendah sebesar 67,48 GU terdapat pada temperatur 32 °C denganperbandingan antara volume cat dan tiner 1:1, sedangkan nilai daya kilap tertinggi sebesar 89,35 GU terdapat pada suhu 70 °C dengan perbandingan 1:1,3 antara volume cat dan tiner. Hasil pengujian daya lekat cat rata-rata semua komponen memiliki daya lekat yang baik dan termasuk dalam kelas 5B. Semakin tinggi viskositas cat menyebabkan kadar nitroselulosa dalam cat semakin tinggi sehingga menyebabkan nilai daya kilap semakin rendah namun daya tahan cat terhadap goresan meningkat. Sebaliknya viskositas cat semakin rendah menyebabkan kadar nitroselulosa dalam cat semakin rendah menyebabkan nilai daya kilap semakin tinggi, namun daya tahan catterhadap goresan menurun

Abstract

Nilai dari kekuatan dan keamanan suatu rangka kendaraan dapat di tingkatkan dengan menentukan jenis rangka, pemilihan material yang digunakan, serta proses pembuatan dan perakitan. Studi ini melakukan penelitian terhadap rancangan rangka sepeda listrik dengan menggunakan metode simulasi perangkat lunak Solidworks untuk mengetahui kekuatan rangka serta material yang efektif dalam menahan beban yang diberikan. Parameter yang ingin diketahui yaitu nilai tegangan maksimum, nilai defleksi, tegangan ijin serta angka faktor keamanan. Menggunakan perbandingan dua material yaitu Aluminium Alloy 6061-T6 dan Stainless Steel 321 dengan besar beban yang diberikan yakni 950 N, 1050 N, dan 1150 mendapatkan data hasil simulasi yang paling efesien yaitu material Stainless Steel 321 dengan angka tegangan maksimum sebesar 92 Mpa, 103 Mpa, dan 113 Mpa. Nilai defleksi sebesar 0,771 mm, 0,859 mm, dan 0,947 mm. Angka tegangan ijin serta faktor keamanan yang diperoleh dengan perhitungan manual yakni sebesar 117 Mpa ubtuk nilai tegangan ijin dan 2 untuk nilai faktor keamanan.

Abstract

The battery pack is one of the potential parts to be developed on a laboratory scale. The battery pack is a unit of several rechargeable battery cells assembled in series-parallel. Battery packs are generally equipped with a Battery management system (BMS). BMS is an electronic circuit that functions to limit the current and voltage entering the battery in the charging process when the battery is full. This will certainly prevent short circuits and increase battery life. As one of the vocational education institutions, SMK are expected to be able to read and take advantage of existing opportunities related to the increasing number of national vehicles and the acceleration of battery-based electric vehicles according to Presidential Regulation number 5 of 2019. In line with the link and match agenda of vocational universities with SMK, this community service team took the initiative to collaborate with SMK together with PTV as a facilitator and SMK teachers as SMK partners. This training activity begins with preparing an electric vehicle battery pack prototype and testing it in the automotive engine laboratory, engineering drawing and computing studio and DUDI partner workshops. At the end of the training, an evaluation was carried out in the form of a questionnaire on the success of the battery assembly training activities using a linkert scale. As a result, the battery assembly training which activities are measuring and monitoring battery pack, increase the knowledge of teachers about how to assemble 18650 lithium ion batteries according to the requirements of the motor that is used.

Abstract

This study presents the optimization of burner design and experimental evaluation using liquid fuel derived from polypropylene (PP) waste pyrolysis to achieve high thermal efficiency. The increasing accumulation of plastic waste and rising energy demand have driven the development of alternative fuels and more efficient combustion systems. In this work, polypropylene waste was converted into liquid fuel through a pyrolysis process and subsequently utilized as the primary fuel in a modified burner system. The optimization focused on key design parameters, including nozzle diameter, air–fuel mixing configuration, and combustion chamber geometry to enhance atomization quality, flame stability, and heat transfer performance.Experimental tests were conducted under various operating conditions to evaluate combustion characteristics, fuel consumption rate, flame temperature, and thermal efficiency. The results show that the optimized burner configuration produced a stable blue–orange flame with improved atomization and more complete combustion compared to the initial design. The maximum thermal efficiency achieved was 105.54%, indicating a significant improvement due to better air–fuel mixing and reduced heat losses during the combustion process. Furthermore, the pyrolysis oil demonstrated strong potential as an alternative liquid fuel for small-scale thermal applications.This study provides a practical contribution to waste-to-energy technology by integrating burner design optimization with plastic waste-derived fuel utilization, offering an effective approach to enhance thermal system performance while supporting sustainable and scalable small-scale energy solutions.

Abstract

This community service program aims to revitalize the production area and improve management practices at Sopo Nyongko MSME, a local culinary business in Sumbersari District, Jember Regency. The main problems identified include a limited customer waiting area, non-hygienic and inefficient production processes, traditional packaging methods, and the absence of proper financial records. The implemented solutions consist of expanding the customer waiting space, introducing a cup sealer machine for efficient and hygienic beverage packaging, providing training on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for small-scale food industries, and assisting in financial record-keeping and report preparation based on Micro Business Financial Accounting Standards (SAK-EMKM). The program also introduced digital marketing strategies to enhance market visibility. The results show significant improvements in production efficiency, product hygiene, customer comfort, and financial management capability. Additionally, the implementation of GMP principles supports future halal certification processes. This activity demonstrates that the integration of technology, financial literacy, and digital marketing can increase productivity, business competitiveness, and sustainability for local MSMEs.
