Abstract

Penggunaan buah pisang dan nanas yang banyak untuk berbagai olahan makanan akan menghasilkan penumpukan limbah kulit. Limbah kulit pisang dan nanas diketahui mengandung unsur kalium yang dapat diolah kembali untuk menjadi produk yang bermanfaat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat kadar kalium terhadap ekstrak kombinasi kulit pisang dan kulit nanas dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer serapan atom. Metode: pembuatan ekstrak kental dilakukan dengan metode infundasi atau infusa yang dikeringkan. Ekstrak kental didestruksi dengan cara pengabuan menggunakan tanur. Kemudian dilakukan pengujian kadar kalium menggunakan spektrofotometer serapan atom pada panjang gelombang 766,5 nm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kalium pada ekstrak kental didapatkan sebanyak 47,483 mg/g ekstrak. Kesimpulan: ekstrak kombinasi kulit pisang dan kulit nanas mengandung kalium yang berpotensi dalam menunjang kebutuhan kalium di dalam tubuh.

Abstract

Cincalok merupakan makanan khas Kalimantan dengan komposisi udang rebon yang kaya astaxanthin, cabai yang kaya capsaicin, dan bawang putih yang kaya allicin. Penelitian ini dilakukan molecular docking senyawa tersebut terhadap reseptor penyakit malaria (Plasmodium Falciparum Dihydroorotate Dehydrogenase). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan calon kandidat obat baru dalam mengatasi penyakit malaria secara in silico pada senyawa yang   terkandung dalam cincalok. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini secara molecular docking menggunakan perangkat lunak autodock vina 1.1.2., dengan senyawa uji (astaxanthin, capsaicin, dan allicin) dan kontrol pembanding (artimisinin dan klorokuin). Hasil penelitian ini berdasarkan binding affinity yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa senyawa capsaicin memiliki nilai affinity paling negatif (-8,2 kkal/mol) dibandingkan astaxanthin (-6,5 kkal/mol) dan allicin (-4,7 kkal/mol) bahkan melebihi klorokuin (-7,2 kkal/mol) dan mendekati binding affinity artimisinin (-8,4 kkal/mol). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu senyawa yang terkandung dalam cincalok diprediksi berpotensi untuk berikatan terhadap reseptor malaria.

Abstract

Allicin is one of the compounds contained in garlic which previous research predicted could be obtained using PPARG (Peroxisome Proliferatr Activated Receptor Gamma). However, short research requires further analysis, namely molecular dynamics. This research aims to analyze the interaction of allicin binding to PPARG used molecular dynamics. The dynamic molecular method used Gromac 2023 software with the chemical structure of allicin obtained from Pubchem data, while PPARG data was obtained from RCSB website. The results obtained from this study indicate that allicin interacts with similar amino acids as pioglitazone. However, its energy affinity is not as great as pioglitazoe. Based on the results of this research, it shows that allicin is predicted to be able to interact with PPARG in a molecular dynamic mannerKeywords: Allicin, PPARG, Molecular dynamics.

Abstract

The increasing Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) drives the need of new antibacteria as drug candidate to eradicate resistant bacteria such as ESBL (Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamase) producing Escherichia coli. Extract and fraction of Sapindus rarak fruit contains numerous saponin compounds, which exert potential antibacterial effect by binding to the bacterial cell membrane. The purpose of this research is to analyze and evaluate Sapindus rarak fruit extract and fraction antibacterial effects through in silico and in vitro approach. Molecular docking is conducted to identified compounds contained in Sapindus rarak fruit against Penicillin Binding Protein (PDB ID: 6NTZ) using Autodock Tools. Antibacterial testing of Sapindus rarak fruit extract and fraction is also conducted with disc diffusion and microdilution. In silico docking study resulted in potential activity from raraoside A and rarasaponin V, which showed affinity tinggi through their binding energy whilst interacting with the active site of the receptor protein. No inhibition zone was detected on extract and fraction, yet lowest minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) was detected at 2.5×104μg/mL on water and n-hexane fraction Sapindus rarak fruit ethanol extract. This weak antibacterial effect tends to happen to crude extract than to compound isolates. Hence, Sapindus rarak fruit fraction exhibits weak antibacterial effect on ESBL producing E. coli, but certain isolates might be potential to be further researched. Sapindus rarak fruit isolates such as raraoside A and rarasaponin V is potential to solve antimicrobial resistance by acting as a plant based antibiotic.

Abstract

Abstrak Dispepsia merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan dengan prevalensi tinggi di Indonesia, termasuk di Kelurahan Siantan Hulu, Pontianak Utara, Kalimantan Barat, di mana tercatat 519 kasus pada Januari–Mei 2025. Kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai penyebab, pencegahan, dan penanganan dispepsia menjadi perhatian utama. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran masyarakat tentang dispepsia serta memperkenalkan pemanfaatan herbal lokal sebagai alternatif terapi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan bersama mitra ibu PKK, perangkat RT/RW, serta siswa/i SMKN 6 Pontianak, dengan total 61 peserta terlibat. Metode pelaksanaan berupa pelatihan praktis disertai pre-test dan post-test. Hasil evaluasi menunjukan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dari rata-rata 75,52 (pre-test) menjadi 83,06 (post-test), atau naik 9,98%. Sebanyak 50,7% peserta menilai kegiatan ini baik dan 45,9% menilai sangat baik. Kegiatan juga berhasil menumbuhkan minat masyarakat dalam pemanfaatan dan pembuatan herbal lokal untuk upaya pencegahan penyakit saluran cerna. Kata kunci: dispepsia; edukasi kesehatan; tanaman herbal; masyarakat; Siantan Hulu. Abstract Dyspepsia is a common health problem with a high prevalence in Indonesia, including in Siantan Hulu Village, North Pontianak, West Kalimantan, where 519 cases were recorded from January to May 2025. Lack of knowledge about the causes, prevention, and management of dyspepsia is a primary concern. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge and awareness about dyspepsia and introduce the use of local herbs as an alternative therapy. The activity was conducted together with partners from the PKK women's group, neighborhood officials (RT/RW), and students of SMKN 6 Pontianak, involving a total of 61 participants. The implementation method consisted of practical training accompanied by pre-tests and post-tests. Evaluation results showed an increase in participants' knowledge from an average score of 75.52 (pre-test) to 83.06 (post-test), an improvement of 9.98%. Approximately 50.7% of participants rated the activity as good and 45.9% as very good. The activity also succeeded in fostering community interest in utilizing and making local herbal remedies for the prevention of digestive tract diseases. Keywords: dyspepsia; health education; herbal plants; community; Siantan Hulu.
