Abstract

In accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 9 of 2016 concerning the Revitalization of Vocational High Schools (SMK) in the context of Improving the Quality and Competitiveness of Indonesian Human Resources (HR), it is necessary to compile a map of labor needs for SMK graduates according to their respective duties, functions, and authorities based on the road map for vocational development. One of the targeted developments is the skill of using computer applications in accordance with its basic competencies. Currently, engineering mechanics lessons at SMKN 2 Surabaya are only given theoretically. The use of computer applications to help solve existing problems has not been implemented. Even though work challenges today really require these skills to solve more complicated problems, more quantities, and faster solutions. Based on the above, this PKM activity aims to improve students' ability to use SAP2000 applications to solve engineering mechanics problems. The training provided includes an introduction to the basic use of SAP2000 including the use of the menus in it. Followed by the practice of working on example problems along with discussing their theoretical validation. After that, exercises for more complicated problems are given which end with giving quizzes to further motivate students. From the post-test results given at the end of the training, the results showed that 85.58% of trainees could understand the training material well. This shows that this training is very effective in improving students' abilities which is expected to bring benefits as a provision to face work challenges after graduation.

Abstract

The status of hadith as a foundational source of Islamic law necessitates rigorous criticism and verification from various dimensions. This imperative becomes particularly significant in light of the proliferation of mawḍūʿ (fabricated) hadiths, which increased substantially following the era of Fitnah. The widespread circulation of such fabrications resulted in the merging of spurious reports with authentic traditions, thereby complicating the process of authentication. In this context, the role of hadith transmitters (narrators) emerges as a pivotal element in determining the validity of a hadith, wherein the assessment of a narrator’s credibility is essential. The discipline of jarḥ wa taʿdīl provides a systematic and methodological framework established by classical scholars to evaluate the reliability of narrators. As socio-religious contexts continue to evolve and knowledge becomes increasingly digitized, the urgency of revisiting and recontextualizing this field becomes more apparent. This study seeks to map the scholarly discourse on jarḥ wa taʿdīlby analyzing academic works published between 2016 and 2023. Employing the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this research reveals that the methodological development within jarḥ wa taʿdīl studies remains largely stagnant, with the majority of contemporary literature focusing on definitional aspects, historical trajectories, foundational principles, and classical applications as articulated by early Islamic scholars. However, the study also identifies emerging trends that suggest potential areas of innovation. These include the application of jarḥ wa taʿdīl principles in contemporary religious and social contexts, as well as a growing interest in digital methodologies for hadith evaluation. Such developments highlight the need for sustained and methodologically robust scholarly efforts aimed at revitalizing the study of jarḥ wa taʿdīl and adapting its principles to contemporary challenges.

Abstract

This study analyzes Tim Blake Nelson’s “O” (2001) as a modern film adaptation of William Shakespeare’s “Othello”, with particular attention to the representation of Blackness and how it is reshaped or obscured in the cinematic form. Using a qualitative, interpretative textual analysis method, the research explores how racial identity, which is central in the original play, becomes muted or recontextualized in the film adaptation. The study applies adaptation theory, semiotic analysis, and critical race theory to examine both narrative and visual elements of the film—including dialogue, characterization, cinematography, and symbolism. Through a comparative framework, the analysis identifies key thematic shifts, such as the movement from overt racial tension in “Othello” to internal psychological conflict in “O”. Visual aids and a comparative table support the findings, illustrating the adaptation’s emphasis on personal trauma over racial discourse. The results reveal how the film strategically downplays racial markers, offering a layered yet potentially problematic reading of race in contemporary adaptation. This research contributes to broader discussions of race, identity, and representation in Shakespearean film adaptations.

Abstract

The importance of an educational institution to innovate education in developing the quality of education amidst the needs of society through research programs.The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach with study. Data collection through access to the organization. observation, interview, and documentation. Testing the validity of data are triangulation. The data validation analysis techniques use in this research are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Based o the research result,  it may be concluded that (1) Research madrasah plan in developing the research culture, are regulation of determine the purposes for research programs, designing resources, strength and barriers analysis and creating research program, and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages. (2) The research madrasah organization in developing the research culture, especially, establishment, design the team jobdesk. (3) The implementation of the research madrasah program in developing research culture. Consisted of socialization of the research program, the research course, which used the PJBL model, research tutoring, research supercamps, outing class, research training and MANSAKU Research science and social week (MSW). Those activities are reflected as the character of observed behavioral regularities. (4) The research madrasah supervision in developing research culture are consisted of determine of work standard, performance assessment and irregularities improvements formed in a creation.

Abstract

This research aims to find the suitability between the principles of journalistic language in general and the principles of communication from the perspective of Islamic teachings as stated in the Quran. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, while the paradigm used is the constructivistic paradigm. The type of this research is a literature study. There are at least 6 principles of communication from the perspective of the Quran called qaulan, namely sadidan, balighan, masyuran, layyina, marufan and kariman. This research is expected to be a reference in studying Islamic communication science in particular and communication science in general, Islamic journalism science in particular and journalism science in general and mass communication science which is the parent of journalism science.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenggunaan baja dalam konstruksi bangunan akhir-akhir ini semakin meningkat. Bahkan baja merupakan material pokok dalam sebuah struktur bangunan. Baja bisa digunakan sebagai balok, kolom, dan konstruksi atap. Dengan semakin banyaknya pengguna baja dalam konstruksi bangunan, maka semakin banyak juga jenis dan bentuk yang ditawarkan oleh pasar. Salah satunya adalah balok yang terbuat dari baja yaitu balok Castella Beam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui optimalisasi tegangan lentur berdasarkan kuat lenturnya dengan mengubah besar sudut potongannya (Ø). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya penambahan besar sudut pemotongan profil pada balok kastela ada indikasi terjadi kerusakan geser pada penampang balok yang berlubang. Jika besar sudut pemotongan profil lebih dari 400, ada indikasi terjadi rusak geser pada penampang balok yang berlubang, akan tetapi pada besar sudut pemotongan profil kurang dari 400 mengalami pergoyangan (buckling) yang paling besar, dan momen, tegangan serta lendutan yang terjadi paling kecil. Ditinjau dari momen, tegangan, lendutan, dan pergoyangan (buckling) maka besar sudut pemotongan profil mulai dari 500 adalah profil yang memenuhi syarat, akan tetapi pada keadaan ini lemah terhadap gaya geser. Kata Kunci      : Castella Beam, tegangan lentur, besar sudut potongan (Ø),gaya geser, momen, tegangan, lendutan, dan pergoyangan (buckling)

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile is a program aimed at strengthening character education and encouraging students to provide solutions to problems in their surrounding environment. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SDN Antirogo 04, focusing on learning strategies, student involvement in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5), and the challenges encountered. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The findings show that the Independent Curriculum is implemented through project-based learning that promotes interdisciplinary integration, character development, and the utilization of local resources as a form of integrating local wisdom into the learning process. Teachers act as facilitators who support active and contextual learning, in line with differentiated and student-centered learning principles. The Independent Curriculum, which incorporates elements of local wisdom, has proven effective in creating a democratic, creative, and meaningful learning environment, while also strengthening the holistic and sustainable development of student character within the framework of the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

The phrase "Never Leave History" (Jasmerah) from Soekarno emphasized the importance of historical awareness. This article examines the evolution of basic education and basic Islamic education in Indonesia from the Islamic kingdom to the Reform era with a qualitative approach based on a literature review. Key findings reveal a significant shift in the Islamic basic education curriculum, transforming from a traditional Islamic boarding school-based approach to a formal school model that integrates modern science and technology. In addition, a dynamic pattern of education policy was found, seeking to balance the preservation of local-religious values with the demands of modernization and national development. This study also confirms that Islamic education functions not only as a transmission of knowledge but as a process of forming character, social identity, and cultural resilience according to Islamic teachings. The implications of this research are very important for the development of education policies that are inclusive, holistic, and responsive to social and cultural change. The unique contribution of this research can be seen from the cross-era analysis that provides a comprehensive picture of the resilience and adaptability of Islamic education in the face of socio-political challenges, while strengthening the historical foundations and Islamic values in the national education system.

Abstract

Students’ 21st-century skills, particularly collaboration and creative thinking, remain underdeveloped. Previous studies have introduced the Collaborative Ethno-STEAM Enriched Project-Based Learning (CoE-STEAM-PjBL) model, but its implementation and effects in teacher education settings have not been thoroughly investigated. This study aims to analyze the impact of CoE-STEAM-PjBL on prospective science teachers’ collaboration and creative thinking skills. Using a pre-experimental One-Shot Case Study design, the research was conducted at a teacher education institution. Data were collected through creative thinking tests and collaboration observation sheets. Learning was conducted using the CoE-STEAM-PjBL syntax with product-based projects rooted in local wisdom. The data were analyzed descriptively. Results showed that 29% of participants are highly creative, 48% are creative, and 23% are fairly creative. For collaboration, 17% were in the very good category, 58% good, and 25% moderate. The most prominent indicator of creative thinking was fluency, while social interdependence was dominant in collaboration. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of CoE-STEAM-PjBL has an impact on increasing collaboration and creative thinking of prospective teachers. This study contributes to the development of science education by providing empirical evidence on the integration of local wisdom and ethnoscience in STEAM-based project learning to enhance essential 21st-century skills among prospective teachers.
