Abstract

Diksi merupakan pemilihan kata yang tepat untuk menciptakan suatu kalimat yang sesuai dengan kondisi dan makna yang selaras kemudian tersampaikan dengan baik kepada pendengar hingga tidak menimbulkan kesalahpahaman dalam berbahasa. Dalam penelitian ini dijelaskan bahwasannya jenis diksi berdasarkan maknanya terbagi atas dua yaitu denotasi dan konotasi. Makna denotasi adalah makna sebenarnya yang apa adanya sesuai dengan indera manusia. Kata yang mengandung denotatif mudah dipahami karena tidak mengandung makna yang rancu walaupun masih bersifat umum. Sementara makna konotasi adalah makna yang tidak sebenarnya, makna yangh telah mengalami penambahan pada makna dasarnya, yakni hanya tambahan yang bersifatnya memberi nilai rasa, baik positif maupun negatif. Kemudian, rangkaian diksi banyak digunakan dalam penulisan karya-karya seperti novelSehingga, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis isi novel yang terdapat kandungan diksi yang bermakna konotasi dan makna denotasi. Penelitian ini memiliki sumber data yaitu dari novel “ Senja Hujan & Cerita Yang Telah Usai” karya Boy Candra. Dalam penelitian ini, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan dokumentasi dan teknik catat. Sementara, Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian tersebut yaitu bahwa secara keseluruhan variasi yang paling dominan terdapat pada makna konotasi, oleh karena itu novel tersebut mempunyai kelebihan tersendiri yakni menarik untuk di baca karena mempunyai nilai rasa yang dalam dan nilai estetik pada novel tersebut. Novel tersebut juga berhasil membuat pembaca seakan merasakan apa yang tertulis di novel. Untuk itu, pengarang juga berhasil telah membuat para pembaca me nikmati alur ceritanya sementara makna yang paling dominan adalah ameliorasi tersebut banyak digunakan karena sesuai dengan konteks cerita pada novel tersebut.

Abstract

When it comes to knowledge and technology, globalization has a huge impact on the daily lives of a wide range of people including the young. There are a lot of different ways to express yourself, from how you live your life to the language you use. There may be a large number of people who feel cheated if they use an Indonesian language that is accurate and up-to-date. As a result, the language is a major source of pride for the nation. As a generation of people, we must be capable of communicating with other countries in Indonesian as a form of pen-to-paper diplomacy. Using a language that isn't your native tongue is a common occurrence in the surrounding environment, and ironically, this has been viewed as a sign of progress. One of the main reasons for the difficulty in using the Indonesian language is the influence of other languages or modernization. This is a common occurrence among Roman Catholics throughout the country. Indonesian Bahasa baku has been caused by the development of the Gaul language. They'll forget to speak in Indonesian while they're discussing official matters, even though they're used to speaking in Gaul. As a result, all parties who are interested in using the Indonesian language in a proper and accurate manner will need to pay attention to this situation. Among other things, we may tell the Indonesian people, especially the descendants of the Bangsa Penerus generation,that Indonesian is a national language and must be spoken.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' computational thinking ability based on learning style and gender in basic mathematics courses. The research sample was students of the mathematics education study program, FKIP, Nias University in the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. This type of data analysis technique uses quantitative data analysis. The instruments used are learning style questionnaire and computational thinking ability test. The results showed that learning style and gender have a significant influence on the average score of students' computational ability.

Abstract

Herbicide mixing technology is an opportunity to improve efficiency and control weeds. This study aimed to develop the effectiveness of a mixed herbicide (tank mix) between the active ingredient formulations of tiafenacil, glyphosate, methyl metsulfuron, and paraquat dichloride in controlling common oil palm weeds. The research was carried out for approximately 3 months, from January to March 2021, in oil palm plantations. The research used was a randomized block design with 9 treatments and 4 replications. Herbicide application using a knapsack sprayer and a red nozzle. Spraying is carried out on weeds in the oil palm weed circle. Vegetation analysis was carried out before the application of herbicides, the percentage of mortality was observed 3,7, 14, 21, and 30 days after spraying and weed regrowth was carried out 30, 45, and 60 days after spraying. The results showed that the paraquat mixture of tiafenacil was able to increase the effectiveness of the herbicide against common weeds compared to the single herbicide tiafenacil at doses of 2 l/ha and 4 l/ha based on mortality. The paraquat mixture in methyl metsulfuron was able to increase the effectiveness of the herbicide against common weeds compared to the single herbicide methyl metsulfuron based on its mortality. The single herbicide tiafenacil dose of 2 l/ha was able to suppress the dry weight of Ottochloa sp better than the single herbicide tiafenacil dose of 4 l/ha. The mixture of methyl metsulfuron in tiafenacil was able to suppress the dry weight of Asystasia sp better than the single herbicide tiafenacil at a dose of 2 l/ha.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: Showing an interactive learning media of mathematics on students' mathematical communication skills as a whole, The magnitude of the influence of using Geogebra-based interactive learning media on mathematical communication abilities based on educational level, the magnitude of the effect of using interactive mathematical learning media on mathematical communication skills based on previously used interactive learning media, the large influence of the use of interactive learning media plays an important role in systematic mathematical methods, the large effect of the use of interactive learning media on mathematical communication skills is imaginative to mathematical communication based on the mathematical ability that is measured. This study uses the addie model. This sampling technique is highly influential using the Addie model and obtained 20 studies that match the criteria. This data collection technique uses freetest and posttest with the help of Geogebra Classic 6 software and the help of Microsoft powerpoint. The results of this data experiment show that: overall this interactive learning media has a major influence on students' mathematical communication abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students' difficulties in solving HOTS questions in terms of facts, concepts, operations and principles. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. This research was carried out by collecting data in the form of information obtained from research subjects. This research is intended to describe or express in words (qualitatively) the results of the analysis of students' difficulties in solving questions which are Higher Order Thinking Skills. The subjects of this research were class IX students of GKPI Padang Bulan Private Middle School, Medan. The instruments in this research were test and interview instruments, where students were given questions to work on, then the researcher recorded the results of the students' answers and took 6 students to be interviewed based on the high, medium and low group categories. The results of the research showed that in the high group students experienced difficulties with principles, in the medium group students experienced difficulties with operations and principles and in the low group students experienced difficulties with facts, concepts, operations and principles. This shows the conclusion that GKPI Padang Bulan Medan Private Middle School students experience difficulties in solving HOTS questions.

Abstract

Simple present tense is the part of the tense that must mastered by students in learning English if students have not fully understood the material of simple present tense then it can result in the achievement of student learning outcomes, see the formulation of the problem in this study, namely: what kind of difficulty students have in using simple present tense. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method that aims to determine the difficulties of students in using simple present tense by grade XI IPA 1 students. Data collection in this study was a questionnaire consisting of 20 students as a source of data in research. The result showed that there were 3 aspects of students difficulty in using simple present tense, including grammar, use of simple present and adverb of time. based on the research data obtained there are 3 students who choose the least correct answer (on grammar) then on (use of simple present) there are 1 students who choose the least correct answer and for (adverb of time) there were 8 students who answered the statement although not all were answered correctly. This shows that for all three aspects of this study, adverb of time is one of the levels of difficulty faced by students in learning tenses. Meanwhile, for the overall percentage of students in understanding and using simple present there are 18.06% (in grammar), then 37.3% (in use simple present) and the last 45% (in adverb of time).

Abstract

A Thesis English Education Department High School of Teachers Training and Education, stkip us Kutacane. The aim of the research was to identified the types of slang words contained in Avril Lavigne's song lyrics in the album "Head Above Water" by Class XI IPA 2, to find out the meaning of slang words in Avril Lavigne's song lyrics in the album "Head Above Water" by Class XI IPA 2, to analyze slang words found in Avril Lavigne's song lyrics in the album " Head Above Water" by Class XI IPA 2. The research data was taken from the lyrics of Avril Lavigne's song on the album "Head Above Water". The data is analyzed by identifying songs inti four types of processes, classifying words in each type of slang, anlyzing the data into slang words. It was found that there are three types of slang in the lyrics of Avril Lavigne's song on the album "Head Above Water" by Class XI students of Science 2 namely blending ( 41,05% ), coinage ( 44,75% ), clipping ( 56,85% ) and also found its meaning, namely: conceptual, connotative, affective, reflective, collocative and thematic. The author found the most common type of slang is blending between slang words in 8 selected song lyrics Avril Lavigne's on the album "Head Above Water" by Class XI students of Science 2. The author realized that these words were slang words found in the lyrics of Avril Lavigne's song on the album "Head Above Water" by reading all the lyrics in detail and analyzing the word by trying to find the right word or its true meaning. Then the researcher can decided the word is referred to as a slang word.

Abstract

A Thesis English Education Department the Faculty of Teachers Training and Education, stkip us Kutacane.The aim of the research was to find out whether the use romance novel media has a significance effect in reading abilities. Population used in this study of class XI were 128 and samples used in this study were 23 students. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a one group as test design .This study was carried on using quantitate method. The data was analysed by using t-test. The researcher found the test mean = 79,35 , deviation standard = 3,70 deviation error = 0,79. From this analysis, researcher found that guided romance novel media has significance in teaching reading. with the mode obtained being a value of 80 which was the most obtained by 10 students in class XI IPS 2. Based on the data from the test results on the ability to increase reading and if it is related to the KKM score for English subjects for senior high school = 75. So the reading romance novel media on students reading ability is included in the good category. Thus, from the results of the hypothesis testing above, it can be concluded that there is the The Effect of Reading Romance Novel Media on Students Reading Ability of Class XI IPS at SMA Negeri 3 Kutacane in The Academic Year 2023/2024.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Pengembangan perangkat dengan menggunakan model 4-D terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu: Define(Pendefenisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan) dan Disseminate (Penyebaran). Subjek uji coba adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Pelita Aek Kanopan terdiri dari 2 kelas dengan klaster sampling terpilih kelas VIII-A. Teknik analisis data dilakukan analisis soal tes kemampuan representasi siswa. Hasil validitas semua perangkat yang di kembangkan masuk dalam kategori baik yang tercermin dari nilai rata-rata validator silabus 4,1, RPP 4,11 Buku Siswa 4,12, LKS 4,10 dan Tes Kemampuan Representasi Matematis 4,08. Pengelolaan pembelajaran menunjukkan 4,49 kategori baik dan respon siswa positif. Hasil uji coba di peroleh pembelajaran efektif dengan nilai rata – rata kemampuan representasi matematis 76,71. Keaktifan siswa dalam kemampuan representasi matematis sebesar 81,4 % . Rata-rata kemampuan representasi matematis kelas VIII-A 76,71. Dapat disimpulkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan model kooperatifuntuk meningkatkan kemampuan representasai matematis siswa adalah valid, praktis, dan efektif. Kata Kunci : Perangkat Pembelajaran, Pembelajaran Kooperatif , Tipe Think Talk Write, Kemampuan Representasi Matematis
