Jumlah penutur asing untuk mempelajari bahasa Indonesia meningkat. Besarnya minat penutur asing untuk mempelajari bahasa Indonesia tidak didampingi dengan buku teks yang selaras dengan keinginan penutur asing dalam mempelajari bahasa Indonesia. Buku teks yang tersedia silabus dan kurikulum BIPA tidak mencantumkan komponen budaya Indonesia. Mengenalkan multikulturalisme Indonesia kepada penutur asing juga dapat menumbuhkembangkan sikap positif dan apresiatif penutur asing terhadap kekayaan budaya Indonesia.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk nendeskripsikan kualitas Buku Teks BIPA Berbasis Multikulturalisme Bagi Penutur Asing Tingkat Pemula yang meliputi kevalidan, kepraktisan (aktivitas pembelajar, tanggapan pembelajar), serta hasil belajar pembelajar. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model pengembangan 4D. Model ini terdiri atas empat tahap pengembangan yaitu define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dampak yang baik terhadap nilai mahasiswa setelah pengembangan buku dilakukan.Kata kunci: buku teks, BIPA, multikulturalisme AbstractThe era of MEA (ASEAN Economic Community) Enactment has an impact on the development of Indonesian language for foreign speakers (BIPA). The number of foreign speakers learning Bahasa Indonesia is increasing. The high interest of foreign speakers for the Indonesian is not supported by necessary textbooks as speaker's expectation in learning Bahasa Indonesia.  The BIPA syllabus and curriculum textbooks do not include the Indonesian cultural component. Introducing Indonesian multiculturalism to learn the enrichness of Indonesian culture. The purpose of this study is to describe the quality of BIPA Textbook Multiculturalism Based for Beginner Level Speakers. This book includes validity, practices (learner activities and feedbacks), and leraner’s learning result. This research applies 4D development model. It consists of four stages of development that is define, design, develop, and disseminate. The result shows that the development of BIPA text book has a good impact.Keywords: textbook, BIPA, multiculturalism

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana faktor psikologis budaya Jepang mempengaruhi komunikasi orang Jepang di Bali. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, menyimak, mencatat dan merekam antara percakapan bahasa Jepang pada masyarakat Jepang dengan bahasa Bali, kemudian hasil percakapan tersebut dikaitkan dengan faktor psikologis. Banyak penelitian tentang komunikasi di Bali seperti Dewi, et.al (2019), Kusumarini, I. (2021) tetapi banyak yang belum menjelaskan tentang faktor psikologis budaya asal dari Jepang yang mempengaruhi komunikasi di Bali, oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberi pendidikan psikologis pemelajar bahasa Jepang di Indonesia agar tujuan komunikasi  berjalan dengan lancar. Sehingga dari segi pendidikan dapat dijadikan contoh dalam berkomunikasi dengan bahasa menarik dengan tidak meninggalkan adat kebudayaan Jepang. Hasil penelitian bentuk pengaruh psikologis budaya yang dipergunakan untuk komunikasi percakapan orang Bali di Jepang menggunakan Omote-Ura, Kireigoto, Hajirai, juga karena pengaruh barat sering juga menggunakan Gairaigo.Kata Kunci : Faktor Psikologis, Omote-Ura, Kireigoto, Hajirai, Gairaigo AbstractThe purpose of this research is to describe how the psychological factors of Japanese culture affect Japanese communication in Bali. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with observation, listening, note-taking and recording techniques between Japanese conversations in Japanese society and Balinese, then the results of these conversations are associated with psychological factors. There are many studies on communication in Bali such as Dewi, et.al (2019), Kusumarini, I. (2021) but many have not explained the psychological factors of Japanese culture that affect communication in Bali, therefore this research aims to provide education psychology of Japanese language learners in Indonesia so that communication goals run smoothly. So from an educational point of view it can be used as an example of communicating in an interesting language without leaving Japanese cultural customs. Abstract

Virus COVID-19 adalah virus yang ditemukan di China tahun 2019 di Kota Wuhan. Virus COVID-19 menjadi masalah kesehatan dunia. Salah satu sekolah yang terdampak oleh Virus COVID-19 adalah SMAN 6 Malang. Dengan adanya pandemi COVID-19, terpaksa dilakukannya pembelajaran daring. Tetapi, dengan pandemi yang sudah reda, pemerintah telah mengizinkan pembelajaran luring. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran daring dan luring terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa SMAN 6 Malang. Metode yang digunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran daring dan luring termasuk dalam kategori “Efektif” dengan persentase daring 71% dan luring 74%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis deskriptif hasil belajar siswa kelas 12 BSBU (Bahasa dan Budaya), kelas 12 BSBU memperoleh rata-rata nilai daring sebesar 80,14 dan rata-rata nilai luring sebesar 87,45. Selanjutnya, kelas 12 MIPA 1 memperoleh rata-rata nilai daring sebesar 83,03 dan rata-rata nilai luring sebesar 74,35.

Abstract

Shuujoshi is a particle located at the end of a sentence. The purpose of this research is to find out what are the functions of shuujoshi ne, wa, and kana in Dragon Zakura 2 drama. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. Based on the results of the study, there are 234 sentences containing shuujoshi ne, wa, kana in Dragon Zakura 2 drama. From 234 sentences, the researcher only analyzed 10 sentences, including 5 shuujoshi ne, 2 shuujoshi wa, and 3 shuujoshi kana. Shuujoshi ne serves to express agreement with the interlocutor; ask to get reassurance from the interlocutor; express awe, disappointment, surprise, etc.; subtly show requests to the interlocutor; and express an opinion. Shuujoshi wa serves to refine speech in a statement and express admiration, disappointment, surrender, etc. Shuujoshi kana serves to express expectations or supplications indirectly, show uncertainty or doubt, and ask something to the interlocutor.

Abstract

This research discusses the pronunciation of ame/rain (雨) with high pitch (↗) to low pitch (↘) and ame/candy (飴) with low pitch (↘) to high pitch (↗) in Japanese Language Education Students Batch 2020. Based on the results of preliminary studies through Google Form, not all respondents were able to distinguish the pronunciation of ame/rain (雨) and ame/candy (飴). Therefore, this study aimed to determine the Japanese pronunciation of Japanese Language Education Students Batch 2020 of Brawijaya University by pronouncing one of the homophones namely ame/rain (雨) and ame/candy (飴). This research used a descriptive qualitative method. Based on simple random sampling technique, 10 respondents of Japanese Language Education Students Batch 2020 were selected as the data source of the research. The researcher examined students' understanding using voice recordings which were then analyzed through Praat to see the pronunciation results. The result of the research was on the word ame/rain (雨) 90% could pronounce it the correct tone. Then on the word ame/candy (飴) 50% could pronounce it the correct tone. 6 respondents made mistakes, this was due to learning strategies and second language culture. As a result of this study, the researcher suggested for analyzing the noun hoshii/want (欲しい) with hoshi/star (星) focusing on pitch, intensity, and respondents from the Department of Japanese Language Education and Japanese Literature who can be used as a comparison.

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to describe how multilingual Balinese Japanese speakers interact with Bali residents. In this instance, being multilingual means being able to communicate in English, Indonesian, and one's mother tongue, which in this case is Japanese. The method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach using listening, recording, and recording techniques used between Japanese conversations that are in the Japanese community of Bali. The participants of this study are two couples of mixed marriages of Balinese and Japanese who live in Bali and have children. Methods are Code-switching, mingling, cooperative strategy, and nonlinguistic strategy which types of communication strategies are employed. The goal of this communication is to ensure that the conversation flows well and that the speaker realizes their objectives. This research is that in a society that is classified as multilingual, fluency and accuracy in conveying messages, or goals is something that must continue to be studied. Abstract

This study compares the Japanese expression sumimasen and the Javanese expression nuwun sewu, both of which function as forms of apology or request, through a contrastive analysis approach. The focus of this research is to identify the similarities and differences in terms of usage context, pragmatic meaning, and the implicit as well as explicit cultural values embedded in these expressions. The study aims to understand the linguistic and cultural dynamics that influence the use of both expressions. Data were collected from various written sources relevant to these expressions. The method employed in this study is descriptive qualitative. The findings indicate that sumimasen and nuwun sewu are both used in contexts of apology or request; however, they differ significantly in terms of politeness levels, social contexts, and cultural backgrounds. Sumimasen tends to be used in both formal and informal situations with an emphasis on general politeness, whereas nuwun sewu is more commonly found in Javanese culture, which emphasizes social hierarchy and the concept of unggah-ungguh (etiquette or respectful behavior). The results of this study are expected to contribute to cross-cultural studies, particularly in understanding the pragmatic differences between Japanese and Javanese in the context of making requests or apologies. Abstract

Desa Tawang argo merupakan pusat penghasil sayuran terbesar di kota Malang bahkan se-Jawa Timur. Meski begitu, penjualan hasil bumi desa Tawang argo berupa sayur mayur ini masih perlu didongkrak lagi. Salah satunya melalui kreasi pembuatan buket dan parsel sayur. Kreasi pembuatan buket dan parsel sayur di desa Tawang argo bertujuan tidak hanya meningkatkan penjualan sayuran segar dari desa Tawang Argo, tetapi juga membantu meningkatkan pemberdayaan penduduk desa Tawang argo khususnya remaja dan kaum wanita. Efek positif lainnya adalah branding produk desa Tawang Argo agar pemasarannya lebih luas lagi merambah ke kalangan elit. Buket dan parsel sayur bisa menjadi media promosi gaya hidup sehat di era modern ini. Bentuk kegiatan pengabdian ini melalui tutorial pembuatan kreasi buket dan parsel sayur dalam bentuk video. Video tutorial ini diberikan kepada penduduk desa Tawang Argo agar setiap orang bisa mempelajarinya masing-masing maupun berkelompok. Pada dasarnya kreasi pembuatan buket dan sayur parsel ini baik bahan dan cara pembuatannya cukup mudah serta siapapun bisa membuat. Dengan modal yang murah dan menghasilkan produk yang mewah dengan harga jual 3kali lipat modal sayurnya. Sehingga hasil sayur desa tidak hanya terjual dalam bentuk karungan namun berdaya jual lebih tinggi.

Abstract

This study explores the learning loss experienced at the Moji Intermediate level within the Japanese Language Education Study Program during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over a period of two years, traditional face-to-face learning was replaced by online instruction, which affected the implementation of certain learning stages, such as kanji writing exercises conducted in the classroom. This research aims to identify the extent of learning loss during online learning, specifically with kanji writing skills at the Moji Intermediate level. A descriptive qualitative method was used, comparing course grades from both online and offline learning periods. According to Rajesh, Hasibuan, Susanto, Solihat et al. (2022), while learning loss has been widely studied with various approaches, few have addressed its impact on specific courses, particularly in Japanese language education. The findings reveal that online learning significantly reduced students' kanji writing abilities. As a result, teachers must adopt new strategies to compensate for this gap and ensure that students perform well on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT), which is essential for graduation from the Japanese Language Education Study Program.

Abstract

Dalam rangka mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa dan persaingan dunia kerja yang semakin ketat sehingga perlu adanya penguatan pendidikan diseluruh wilayah Indonesia tidak terkecuali di wilayah pedesaan. Dengan adanya program MMD (Mahasiswa Membangun Desa) tepatnya di desa Karangduren dan Glanggang Kec, Pakisaji maka tema ini dipilih berkaitan dengan upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat desa melalui pengembangan pendidikan literasi dan digitalisasi sumber belajar. Program ini sesuai dengan SDGs 4 tentang Pendidikan berkualitas, dan SDGs 5 tentang Kesetaraan gender. Pengembangan pendidikan literasi dan digitalisasi sumber belajar ini sangat penting karena akan membantu masyarakat desa meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dapat digunakan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, sehingga membantu mendorong perkembangan sosial dan ekonomi di desa-desa, serta membantu mewujudkan tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan secara lebih luas.
