Abstract

DKI Jakarta is a metropolitan city which is well-known as a flood subscriber and ranks number 1 as the region with the most waste in Indonesia. Various attempts have been done by the government to reduce the use of plastic as one of the waste that is difficult to decompose, both in the form of appeals to regulations. This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge with the use of green packaging behavior in the people of DKI Jakarta. This research is a quantitative research using survey method and Pearson correlation analysis. The analysis shows that the higher level of public knowledge about green packaging will have a good effect on the behavior of using green packaging. The dominant factor that is considered by the public in recognizing and using green packaging is environmental care, social media and the surrounding social environment. Many people have already know about the Regulations of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Number 142 Year 2019 regarding the obligation to use environmentally friendly shopping bags at shopping centers, supermarkets and people's markets.  In addition, the community is willing to start switching to green packaging little by little, such as carrying their own shopping bags, drinking bottles and lunch boxes, and educating people around them to do the same.

Abstract

Soybean demand that increases every year is not offset by a significant increase in domestic production despite various government programs. This makes the dependence on imported soybeans so high. Efforts through empowering farmers to make farmers empowered and independent in soy farming are an urgency. This study aims to determine the level of independence of soybean farmers and analyze what factors influence the level of independence of farmers. The study was conducted using a survey method in Pancatengah, Tasikmalaya District which is a potential soybean development area in West Java by taking a sample of 84 soybean farmers using simple random sampling. Data collected in this study consisted of secondary data and primary data. Data analysis method that will be used in this study uses descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that (1) the level of independence of soybean farmers in Pancatengah District was included in the moderate category (28.57%), moderate motivation (32.14%), high ability (33.33%), low dynamism (34.52%), moderate empowerment (50%), high social cultural environment (33.33%), moderate counseling performance (39.29%) and high participation (40.48%), (2) Motivation, ability, empowerment, and participation significant effect on the independence of soybean farmers, while dynamics, socio-cultural environment and extension performance did not have a significant effect.

Abstract

Kawasan waduk merupakan perpaduan daerah dataran tinggi dan perairan. Kegiatan wisata di kawasan waduk adalah bagian dari ekowisata yang mengetengahkan keindahan alam, aktivitas, dan atraksi tertentu sebagai daya tariknya. Penelitian ini  bertujuan  untuk mengidentifikasi  potensi ekowisata Waduk Jatigede  dan rencana pengelolaan ekowisata waduk Jatigede berbasis sumberdaya lokal. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian adalah di Kecamatan Wado, Darmaraja, dan Jatigede. Informan penelitian adalah anggota masyarakat dan stakeholder di tingkat desa dan kecamatan. Hasil penelitian  menunjukkan bahwa Waduk Jatigede Sumedang memiliki  sumberdaya lokal  yang potensial untuk dikembangkan sebagai ekowisata. Beberapa  atraksi wisata, diantaranya wisata tirta, wana wisata, wisata seni budaya, agrowisata, wisata olahraga, bumi perkemahan dan wisata ziarah. Sebagai implikasinya, diperlukan kebijakan pengembangan ekowisata  berbasis sumberdaya lokal. Penulis mendorong keterlibatan masyarakat secara penuh dalam perencanaan dan pengelolaanya  ekowisata tersebut agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan budaya masyarakat setempat.

Abstract

This study aims to identify entrepreneurial characteristics possessed by young farmers. Young farmers who are the object of study are horticulture farmers in Kabupaten Bandung Barat. This study tries to explain the characteristics of farmers in terms of entrepreneurship. This study focuses on young farmers in Cisarua, Parongpong, and Lembang Subdistricts, with land ownership of no more than two hectares (small scale). The determination of the sample is done by a stratified random sampling method. The strata in this study are young farmers under the age of 40 and farming in the sub-sector of horticulture products in Kabupaten Bandung Barat. The next step is to determine the sample in the study as many as 120 farmers. Farmers who play a role as entrepreneurs are not only experts in the production process, but they have visionary results-oriented business managerial skills. The results of the study show that the majority of respondents have moderate (moderate) entrepreneurial characteristics. This is more due to the farming climate in rural areas which is still moderate, not oriented to professionalism and entrepreneurship. However, young farmers have a desire to develop, so that their business processes are different from those of farmers in general, where young farmers are starting to implement professional work methods in their gardens. The entrepreneurial approach has been seen in the way they do business, where they always want to be better, always look for the latest information, create innovations in the garden, apply management in their farming and take risks.

Abstract

Corn commodity has a strategic role whose demand continues to increase for industrial needs, especially the animal feed industry. The high fluctuations in corn prices occur because a balanced supply has not accompanied the increasing demand for corn. The study aimed to analyze the integration of the maize market at the feed mill level with the maize market at the farmer and global levels. The method used is quantitative with secondary data. Data analysis using Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). The results show that the corn market in the long term at the feed mill level is integrated with the corn market at the farmer and global levels. However, only corn markets at the farmer level are integrated with feed mills in the short term.Komoditas jagung memiliki peranan strategis yang permintaannya terus meningkat untuk kebutuhan industri, khususnya industri pakan ternak. Fluktuasi harga jagung yang tinggi terjadi karena permintaan jagung yang meningkat belum diiringi dengan penawaran yang seimbang. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis integrasi pasar jagung di tingkat pabrik pakan dengan pasar jagung di tingkat petani dan dunia. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan data sekunder. Analisis data menggunakan Vector Error Correction Model (VECM). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pasar jagung dalam jangka panjang di tingkat pabrik pakan terintegrasi dengan pasar jagung di tingkat petani dan dunia. Namun, dalam jangka pendek hanya pasar jagung di tingkat petani yag terintegrasi dengan pabrik pakan.

Abstract

Potensi unggulan Desa Jembarwangi adalah di sektor pertanian padi dengan dukungan perdagangan komoditas perkebunan berupa buah manga, namun posisi strategis sebagai pintu masuk Kabupaten Sumedang sebelah Timur serta gerbang wilayah Jatigede membuat Desa Jembarwangi mempunyai potensi besar untuk maju di bidang ekonomi. Melimpahnya buah mangga saat panen raya membutuhkan teknologi untuk dapat memproses buah tersebut agar tetap menajadi sumber penghasilan warga Desa Jembarwangi. Teknologi yang disosialisasikan di Program Pengabdian ini adalah olahan buah mangga menjadi sirup. Berdasarkan hasil respon peserta workshop terjadi peningkatan kemampuan anggota KWT Desa Jembarwangi dalam pengolahan buah mangga menjadi sirup mangga dan umur simpan sirup sebesar 72,73% sedangkan pemahaman akan pentingnya formulasi atau resep dalam membuat sirup sebesar 36,36%. Respon yang cukup baiknya dapat menjadi indikasi bahwa produk sirup sebagai produk olahan buah mangga gedong gincu atau jenis mangga lainnya dapat menjadi potensi usaha yang sangat potensial. Pemahaman akan izin edar PIRT dan pentingnya merek produk setelah diadakan workshop secara daring juga mendapat respon yang baik.

Abstract

Coffee is one of the leading commodities in the Indonesian plantation sector. Bandung Regency as one of the coffee producers in West Java plays a role in the contribution of West Java coffee production. With good coffee quality and high productivity, coffee is the main commodity for coffee farmers in the Giri Glad Forest Farmers Group and the Sunda Buhun Farmers Group. The purpose of the study was to analyze the business feasibility of Arabica coffee farming in the Giri Glad Forest Farmers Group and the Sunda Buhun Farmers Group. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative method and the data analysis tools used are farming feasibility analysis, IFE and EFE matrices. The results showed that the feasibility analysis of Arabica coffee farming was feasible to be developed and the sensitivity analysis showed that it was feasible to cultivate and provide benefits.

Abstract

Recently people used to get leisure time by dringking coffeee in coffee shop. The habit become their lifestyle now, especially from youth generation in big city such as Jakarta and Bandung.  Along with the times, coffee shop also change its function, not only for leisure but also for social interaction, a gathering place for young people, the confortable place  for meeting, the best place for breakfast  (Solikatun et al. 2015).  The habit of drinking coffeee has continued during Covid-19, so the consumer change behaviour from off line to on line. The coffee shop categorized as good, medium and poor coffee shops based on the variety of coffeee beverage, the number of visitors, taste, price of coffeee beverage and the brand of coffee shop. The objective of this research were to analyze (1) the selection of coffee shop based on consumer criteria, (2) consumers’s reason for online shopping, (3) the relationsip between experiential marketing and consumer loyalty. This research was conducted online in Bandung Januari 2021. The results of this research are considered by coffee shop in running their business online.

Abstract

The number of social media users could be an opportunity to be used as a means of social media marketing for businesses in promoting their products. Warung 1000 Kebun is one of the online stores in Bandung that uses marketing through social media specifically Instagram. This raises the problem of whether choosing Instagram as social media marketing by Warung 1000 Kebun is effective and received a good response from Instagram users, especially followers of Warung 1000 Kebun in purchasing organic vegetable products. In this study, the effectiveness of social media marketing was measured using four social media marketing indicators according to Chris Heuer in Solis (2010), namely context, communication, collaboration, and connection on purchasing decisions of organic vegetables from Warung 1000 Kebun. This research uses a quantitative research design with survey methods. Sampling in this study uses a non-probability sampling technique and uses purposive sampling method with the number of samples set to as many as 100 people. A questionnaire with a Likert scale rating system of 1–5 was used to collect the data. Multiple linear regression carried out using SPSS 20 was the data analysis method.  The results showed that of the four social media marketing indicators, the connection indicator was the most influential followed by the context indicator which had a positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions for organic vegetables at Warung 1000 Kebun.

Abstract

The use of plastic bags has become a habit, there is no day without a plastic bag. Seeing the importance of this problem, the government established a regulation for paying plastic bags in supermarkets in 2015, which is Rp. 200,- per sheet, and it is up to May 31, 2016. This policy did not work well and since 2016 supermarkets have returned to using plastic bags without paying for them. The aims of this study were (1) to analyze consumers’ willingness to pay more for plastic bags, (2) to analyze the cluster of consumer knowledge about plastic bags which damage the environment, (3) to analyze the most important factor that consumer will pay more for plastic bags . The study was conducted from May- June 2021 in Bandung, with simple random sampling. The results showed that generally consumers are willing to pay more for plastic bags (willingness to pay) between Rs. 500, - to Rs, 2.000, -, .Consumers who aware that plastic bags destroy the environment was 14.70 %, the medium knowledge was 63.39 % and the low knowledge was 21.91 %. Although the respondent’s knowledge is high, waste disposal is often practiced using plastic bags. Thus, it is not directly proportional to respondents’ knowledge and behavior about plastic bags. The most important factors that consumers are willing to pay for plastic bags are gender and family. This study can be considered for Ministry of Environment, Modern Retail, stakeholders and other market agents in considering the use of plastic bags.
