Abstract

Pengunaan agen biokontrol menggunakan cendawan endofit telah banyak dilakukan karena kemampuannya dalam meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman terhadap serangan penyakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi cendawan endofit dari Tanaman Maja koleksi Kampus Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember serta mengetahui kemampuan antagonismenya terhadap Colletotrichum acutatum penyebab penyakit antraknosa pada cabai merah secara in vitro. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah data deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Data deskriptif berupa hasil identifikasi cendawan endofit sedangkan data kuantitatif yaitu persen daya hambat. Cendawan endofit yang berhasil diidentifikasi dari Tanaman Maja adalah Colletotrichum spp.; Rhizoctonia spp.; Sporidesmium sp.; Neonectria sp. dan miselia steril. Persen penghambatan cendawan endofit Tanaman Maja terhadap C. acutatum, dimana Neonectria sp. yaitu 71,43%, Sporidesmium sp. 68,67% dan Rhizoctonia sp. 71,43%.

Abstract

The rice commodity is an important food ingredient needed by consumers. These agricultural materials are stored in the warehouse. The pest that is a problem is the rice weevil. An alternative control method that can be carried outin an environmentally friendly manner is by using bay leaf powder pesticide. Bay leave scan be used as a natural pesticide because they contain chemical compounds in the form of flavonoids and essential oils. The essential oil contained in bay leaves is thought to repel insects. This research aims to determine the effect of giving bay leaf powder and the effective dose in controlling rice weevil pests. This research used a 1 factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experiment with 5 treatment levels, namely K0= 0 g, K1 = 5 g, K2 = 15 g, K3= 25 g, andK4 = 35 g. The results of the research showed that giving bay leaf powder did not have a significant effect on mortality, development of rice weevil pest populations, and reduction in rice weight. The highest percentage of mortality for Sitophilus oryzae in the treatment given K4 bay leaf powder (35 g of bay leaf powder) was17.5% with an average population of 8.25 individuals and a percentager eduction in rice weight of 1.46%. The lowest data was in the treatment without giving bay leaf powder K0(without giving bay leaf powder) with a value of 10% with a population of 9 individuals and a percentage reduction in rice weight of 1.875%.

Abstract

Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Putri Idaman di Kelurahan Guntung Payung, Kec. Landasan Ulin, Banjarbaru telah melakukan usaha budidaya sayuran selada secara hidroponik. Pada kondisi tertentu, produktivitas tanaman selada yang terlalu tinggi dapat menimbulkan kesulitan tersendiri. Musim penghujan dengan kelembapan tinggi akan menyebabkan kondisi terjadinya serangan hama dan penyakit, mengingat tanaman ini dilakukan secara hidroponik, maka pengendaliannya tidak bisa dilakukan menggunakan insektisida kimia disamping membahayakan konsumen juga dapat merusak lingkungan. Telah dilakukan sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan pestisida nabati dari bawang putih oleh tim pengabdin dari jurusan Agroekoteknologi, Fakultas Pertanian ULM. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara tatap muka dengan metode ceramah dan praktek dimulai dari pembukaan, sambutan-sambutan, kemudian penyampaian materi, praktik dan diskusi bersama peserta. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 44 orang yang terdiri dari 34 anggota kelompok wanita tani Putri Idaman, dan 10 orang kelompok Iwapi (Ikatan Wanita Pengusaha Indonesia). Hasil evaluasi kegiatan dari peserta rata-rata menjawab setuju dan sangat setuju dari enam rubrik yang ditanyakan, yaitu: pelayanan kegiatan; kesuaian materi pengabdian dengan permasalahan mitra; serta interaktif materi yang disampaikan narasumber. Dua puluh tiga peserta menyatakan sangat setuju untuk kembali berpartisipasi apabila kegiatan ini diselenggarakan kembali. Dari kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan pembuatan pestisida nabati dari bawang putih ini, diharapkan mampu menjadi sebuah produk pestisida nabati yang dapat digunakan secara berkelanjutan dalam pengendalian HPT selada hidroponik oleh kelompok wanita tani Putri Idaman dalam menjaga kualitas produk selada hidroponik mereka. The Putri Idaman Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Guntung Payung Village, Landasan Ulin District, Banjarbaru has cultivated lettuce hydroponically. In certain conditions, lettuce plant productivity that is too high can cause difficulties. The rainy season with high humidity will cause conditions for pest and disease attacks, considering that this plant is grown hydroponically, its control cannot be carried out using chemical insecticides, besides endangering consumers, it can also damage the environment. Socialization and training on making herbal pesticides from garlic have been carried out by the service team from the Agroecotechnology Department, Faculty of Agriculture, ULM. This activity was conducted face-to-face with lecture and practice methods starting from the opening, greetings, and then delivery of materials, practice, and discussion with participants. The activity participants numbered 44 people consisting of 34 members of the Putri Idaman women's farmer group and 10 members of the Iwapi group (Indonesian Women Entrepreneurs Association). The results of the activity evaluation from the participants on average answered agree and strongly agree from the six rubrics asked: activity service; suitability of service materials to partner problems; and interactive materials presented by the resource person. Twenty-three participants stated that they strongly agreed to participate again if this activity was held again. From the socialization and training activities for making herbal pesticides from garlic, it is hoped that it can become a herbal pesticide product that can be used sustainably in controlling hydroponic lettuce HPT by the Putri Idaman women's farmer group in maintaining the quality of their hydroponic lettuce products.

Abstract

Karang Taruna Village has a group of oyster mushroom farmers where, under certain conditions, the productivity of oyster mushrooms that are too high can cause difficulties. The rainy season with high humidity will increase oyster mushroom growth, so harvests often occur. In addition, if the baglog used is new or when it enters the early harvest stage, the yield will usually peak. Judging from the problems of related partners, which can be seen in the condition of the oyster mushrooms' durability, which is susceptible to damage, it is necessary to diversify the processing of oyster mushrooms. An example of processed oyster mushroom products is non-MSG flavoring, which can be seen in the condition of the people of South Kalimantan, who have switched to using non-MSG seasoning because they are aware of healthy living but still want their food to have added flavoring. The fear that still haunts the public with the COVID-19 outbreak has made people now look for many products, both food and beverages, that can increase immunity as well as products that can prevent various kinds of diseases that will attack and the level of people's dependence on flavoring products. In this condition, the products offered to related partners are expected to become superior products in great demand and promise a large market segment so that, in the future, the family economic sector can improve.

Abstract

Breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) leaves contain several antimicrobial properties such as saponins, hydrocyanic acid, polyphenols, acetylcholine, potassium, tannin, phenol, riboflavin, and flavonoids.  Phenol is a compound found in plants that causes pesticide effects. Previous studies have demonstrated that breadfruit leaf extract contains phenol compounds with antimicrobial activity and can be used as a fungicide. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of breadfruit leaf extract on the growth inhibitory power and percentage inhibition of Puccinia arachidis spore germination as well as the best concentration of breadfruit leaf extract in inhibited the growth of Puccinia arachidis, an agent causing groundnut rust disease in peanut plants in food poisoning method. This study used a single factor CRD consisting of 5 treatment levels, namely k0(-) = negative control, k0(+) = positive control, k1 = 10 % extract concentration, k2 = extract concentration of 20 %, and k3 = extract concentration of 30 %. The results of this study indicate that the breadfruit leaf extract significantly affected Puccinia arachidis growth with the presence of percentage inhibition of Puccinia arachidis spore germination. The highest concentration of breadfruit leaf extract as a rust disease biofungicide (Puccinia arachidis) in peanut plants in vitro at a concentration of 30 %.

Abstract

Produksi jeruk di Kalimantan Selatan mengalami penurunan yang diakibatkan berbagai faktor, diantaranya serangan penyakit. Hal ini juga dialami oleh pertanaman buah jeruk pamelo di Amanah Borneo Park yang sering mengalami gagal panen akibat serangan penyakit blendok yang disebabkan oleh patogen Botryodiplodia theobromae Pat. Pengendalian penyakit dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan agen hayati, salah satunya cendawan endofit yang bersifat antagonis terhadap penyebab patogen, yang dapat diisolasi dari tanaman obat. Cendawan endofit mampu menghasilkan metabolit sekunder, enzim litik, dan antimikroba lainnya dalam menghambat pertumbuhan patogen tanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui jenis cendawan penyebab penyakit blendok di Amanah Borneo Park dan mengetahui daya antagonisme Trichoderma harzianum, endofit Colletotrichum sp., dan endofit Fusarium sp. terhadap patogen tersebut. Hasil identifikasi mengemukakan bahwa patogen penyebab blendok di Amanah Borneo Park adalah B. theobromae Pat (P2B4), kemudian uji antagonisme dengan tiga agen antagonis yaitu Trichoderma harzianum, endofit Colletotrichum sp., dan endofit Fusarium sp. menunjukkan adanya perbedaan persentase daya hambat yang disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor seperti laju pertumbuhan, produksi, dan konsentrasi metabolit sekunder yang dihasilkan dengan persentase penghambatan masing-masing agen antagonis yaitu 21,048% (T. harzianum), 13,775% (Colletotrichum sp.), dan 13,04% (Fusarium sp.).

Abstract

Cendawan endofit adalah salah satu agen pengendali biologi yang dapat melindungi tanaman dari serangan patogen. Bawang dayak merupakan tanaman obat di Kalimantan Selatan sebagai inang dari cendawan endofit yang berpotensi sebagai agen pengendali biologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan cendawan endofit bunga bawang dayak, Fusarium solani EnI,  dalam mengendalikan penyakit layu fusarium di tanaman bawang merah, kemampuan hambatnya dengan Aspergillus flavus dan skrining bahan metabolit yang terkandung dalam ekstrak kultur endofit. Metode penelitian menggunakan uji penghambatan in vitro terhadap A.flavus, kejadian penyakit layu fusarium pada pada tanaman bawang yang merah yang diaplikasikan endofit cendawan bunga bawang dayak F. solani EnI di rumah kaca serta skrining fitokimia kultur endofit. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor yaitu perbedaan media tumbuh secara in vitro dan pengayaan cendawan  endofit pada benih dan media tanam secara in vivo. Parameter pengamatan meliputi persen daya hambat, kejadian penyakit layu fusarium, tinggi tanaman, berat kering tanaman dan uji kualitatif fitokimia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan benih dan media tanam yang diperkaya cendawan endofit F.solani EnI pada bawang merah telah meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman terhadap serangan layu fusarium ditunjukan dengan meningkatnya pertumbuhan tanaman dari parameter tinggi tanaman yaitu dengan nilai tanaman tertinggi 43 cm pada 7 MST dan berat kering tertinggi yaitu 22 g. Hal ini dikarenakan kemampuan endofit yang mengandung senyawa metabolit terpenoid yang bersifat antimikroba dari hasil kualitatif fitokimianya. Cendawan endofit F. solani EnI juga mampu menghambat pertumbuhan cendawan kontaminan A. flavus secara in vitro dengan daya hambat 50-68 % pada variasi media PDA, jagung dan kedelai.

Abstract

Demand for pak choi plants has continued to increase in recent years, but due to pest attacks, it has caused unstable production of pak choi plants. The main pests that attack pak choi plants are armyworms and caterpillars. One way to control pests on pak choi plants is to use organic-based biopesticide that are safer to use. One of the organic materials that can be used for organic pesticides is goat weed leaves. Goat weed is a nuisance weed that lives wild and is found in many regions in Indonesia. Goat weed plants can be used as biopesticide because goat weed plants have bioactive content that is anti-pest. The factor studied in this. research is the treatment of goat weed leaf extract with five concentration levels repeated as many as four replicates so as to get 20 units of experimental units. The results obtained from this study are pests that attack pak choi plants in this study are armyworms, tritip caterpillars, and flea beetles. Application of botanical pesticide solution of goat weed leaves has an effect on pest control in pak choi plants. The best concentration in the application of goat weed leaves solution is at a concentration of 20%, namely with a value of pest attack intensity on pak choi of 3.1%.
