Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to explain and describe the cultural elements contained in the collection of short stories of the Martabat Kematian’s by Muna Masyari as Indonesian language teaching material for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) at C1 and C2 levels. The subject of this study were 12 short stories contained in the collection of short stories of the Martabat Kematian’s by Muna Masyari. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to describe phenomena systematically, namely cultural elements as BIPA teaching material. Techniques for collecting data using read-notes, literature, and data cards. This study shows that the collection of short stories of the Martabat Kematian’s by Muna Masyari contains cultural elements in the form of language, knowledge systems, livelihood systems, religious systems and the arts. The whole element of culture can be used as both teaching material and as an introduction to culture, especially Madura’s culture as a support for BIPA learners' language skills.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur budaya yang terdapat dalam Kumpulan cerpen Martabat Kematian karya Muna Masyari sebagai materi ajar Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) tingkat C1 dan C2. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 12 cerpen yang terdapat dalam kumpulan cerpen Martabat Kematian karya Muna Masyari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan fenomena secara sistematis yaitu unsur kebudayaan sebagai materi ajar BIPA. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan baca-catat, kepustakaan, dan kartu data. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kumpulan cerpen Martabat Kematian karya Muna Masyari mengandung unsur-unsur kebudayaan berupa bahasa, sistem pengetahuan, sistem mata pencaharian, sistem religi dan kesenian. Keseluruhan unsur kebudayaan dapat dijadikan baik sebagai materi ajar maupun sebagai pengenalan budaya terutama budaya Madura sebagai penunjang keterampilan berbahasa pemelajar BIPA.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve students’ poetry text-writing skills. The technique used is the Acrostic Technique which can help students more easily come up with ideas in writing poetry texts. The results of the poetry text written with this technique also look unique. Students first write an exciting poem title. Furthermore, the title of this poem is written vertically and used as the first letter of each line of poetry written by students. This research was conducted on students of class X MIPA 2, SMA Negeri 2 Wates, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. Before taking action, the students’ initial abilities to write poetry were first measured, namely, the pre-action stage. In the pre-action, 0% of students scored more than 75. In the first cycle, the results showed that 17 out of 36 students or about 47.22% scored according to the success criteria. Students who were motivated during learning were as much as 25%. In cycle II, the results showed that more than 75% of students felt that learning to write poetry using the Acrostic Technique was interesting and fun. Students’ poetry writing skills improved after the Acrostic Technique was applied in cycle II. All students in cycle II scored more than 75 if the percentage was 100%. The criteria for the success of the action have been achieved in cycle II. The findings of this study are useful for students, teachers and schools in improving the quality of learning, especially improving writing skills.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the problem of the inequality of the principle of 'Tibak Rasul' between the previous generations of prophets and the present generation, which is in the anthology book of poetry Rumah-Mu Tumbuh di Hati Kami by Sosiawan Leak. The objectives of this study are (1) to find out how the representation of prophetic values ​​in the poetry anthology entitled Rumah-Mu Tumbuh di Hati Kami by Sosiawan Leak, (2) to find out how it is implemented in learning Indonesian Language and Literature at Madrasah Aliyah. This study used a qualitative descriptive method, while the analysis knife applied was structuralism. The meaning is then described and analyzed using a prophetic literature review based on the theory presented by Kuntowijoyo in his book entitled Maklumat Sastra Prophetic. This type of research is a research library. The primary data source used is the anthology book by Sosiawan Leak, entitled Your house grows in our hearts. Reference sources used are in the form of books, journals, e-books, theses, theses, and articles that support and support research problems. The data collection technique used was content analysis, namely listen, read, and take notes. The results of this study indicate that there are (1) prophetic values ​​contained in the poetry anthology Rumah-Mu Tumbuh di Hati Kami, including humanization consisting of 4 data, transcendence of 7 data, and liberation of 2 data. (2) Implementation in learning Indonesian Language and Literature at Madrasah Aliyah.

Abstract

The people of Karanganyar, Central Java, have a high enthusiasm for writing literacy culture, one of which is the writing community of Forum Lingkar Pena (FLP), which always carries civilization by writing to provide enlightenment to the community. Their enthusiasm still needs to be honed because their writings are not fully in accordance with the guidelines for writing popular articles. Therefore, the TBI FAB IAIN Surakarta Study Program organizes Community Service (PkM) activities in the form of training in writing popular articles about local wisdom for the community. This activity aims to increase the role and contribution of FLP in improving the literacy culture for the Karanganyar community. The method of this activity includes preparatory meetings, meeting to determine participants, sending application letters and the place of implementation, sending participant invitation letters, technical preparation and accommodation, preparation of activity reports, submission of activity documents to FAB. The result of this activity was that the participants were very enthusiastic about participating in the training activities. The enthusiasm of the participants can be seen from the popular articles that have been made. In general, they are able to apply popular article writing, but there are some things that are not paid attention to in terms of leads, topics, titles, subtitles, vocabulary selection, outline, and content.

Abstract

Quality assurance in higher education is an important program that must be implemented by all higher education institutions. The quality assurance of Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama (Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic University/UNISNU) Jepara has characteristics that differ from other higher education institutions. This research aims to analyze the quality assurance of UNISNU Jepara. The method used in this research is qualitative analysis. The subjects and informants of this research are the rector, head of quality assurance institution, head of Aswaja study center, lecturers, and other technical staff. The research findings indicate that the characteristics of quality assurance at UNISNU Jepara include 7 additional standards, such as vision and mission standards, academic atmosphere standards, cooperation standards, information technology standards, graduate student standards, online learning standards, and governance standards based on the values of Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah, producing 10 personality values that are implemented and internalized into academic community activities including university work programs, teaching and learning processes, and student activities, namely: moderate (tawassut), balanced (tawazun), tolerant (tasamuh), and just (i'tidal) values used as guidelines in all aspects of life to improve quality assurance and the quality of education provision.Penjaminan Mutu Universitas Islam Nahdlatul Ulama Jepara Berbasis Nilai-Nilai Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah. Penjaminan mutu di perguruan tinggi merupakan program penting yang harus dilaksanakan oleh semua institusi pendidikan tinggi. Penjaminan mutu Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama (UNISNU) Jepara memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dengan perguruan tinggi lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penjaminan mutu UNISNU Jepara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis kualitatif. Subjek dan informan penelitian ini adalah rektor, kepala lembaga penjaminan mutu, kepala pusat studi Aswaja, dosen, dan staf teknis lainnya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik penjaminan mutu di UNISNU Jepara meliputi 7 standar tambahan, yaitu standar visi dan misi, standar suasana akademik, standar kerja sama, standar teknologi informasi, standar mahasiswa pascasarjana, standar pembelajaran daring, dan standar tata kelola yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah, menghasilkan 10 nilai kepribadian yang diimplementasikan dan diinternalisasikan ke dalam kegiatan sivitas akademika meliputi program kerja perguruan tinggi, proses belajar mengajar, dan kegiatan kemahasiswaan, yaitu Nilai-nilai moderat (tawassut), seimbang (tawazun), toleran (tasamuh), dan adil (i'tidal) yang digunakan sebagai pedoman dalam semua aspek kehidupan untuk meningkatkan penjaminan mutu dan kualitas penyelenggaraan pendidikan.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to explain the management of the MBKM curriculum in the TBI Degree Program at PTKI and the implementation of forms of collaboration with partners who support the MBKM program’s implementation. The data was gathered from the TBI Degree Program at UIN Raden Mas Said (RMS) Surakarta. Design/methods/approach – This study employs a qualitative explanatory method. Documents, informants, and events serve as data sources. Data collection methods included content/document analysis, in-depth interviews, and observation. The data analysis technique employs an interactive model. The triangulation technique is used in the data validity technique. Findings – The results show that the MBKM Degree Program curriculum design at UIN RMS Surakarta has incorporated 21st-century skills. Several courses will require digital skills, such as Digital Literacy, Monetization of Digital Products, and Development of Indonesian Language Learning Media starting in 2019. TBI’s Degree Program, Starting in 2019 in support of MBKM, has also implemented collaboration with various partners, including the Industrial World Business World (DUDI). Research implications/limitations – This research contributes to understanding the importance of implementing MBKM in the TBI Degree Program at PTKI, with the data source being the TBI Degree Program Faculty of Adab and Language at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. It can be used as a model for other TBI Degree Programs at PTKI that have not implemented MBKM much. in designing the curriculum. Practical implications – This research can provide practical training in the Indonesian Tadris curriculum and a curriculum review for MBKM design.

Abstract

Sign language is the language used by the deaf to communicate. In general, there are two types of sign languages used in Indonesia, namely SIBI (Indonesian sign language system) and BISINDO (Indonesian sign language). Of the two, the sign language most often used by the deaf is BISINDO, because BISINDO is considered easier to understand. This study aims to explain the use of BISINDO in Deaf Indonesian language classes in the Surakarta Gerkatin organization. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data in the form of image documentation. The data source is in the form of sign language learning process. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, recording and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques use interactive models. The results showed that the movements used in BISINDO learning at Gerkatin Surakarta involved the use of facial expressions, body language, arms and hands. There is a lot of vocabulary taught such as learning words, Indonesian, not yet, like, where, like, small, eat, alone, understand, don't know, work, sleep, words, healthy, black, fat, thin, color, about, purpose, lesson, early. If you look closely at the vocabulary taught, it has different conceptual sign languages. Like a like sign, demonstrated with the position of the hands in front of the mouth, then the palms open up plus the movement of the hands sticking from the chest towards the other person. Small gesture, in front of the chest with the tip of the thumb against the ring finger and the other three fingers open upwards, accompanied by a plucking motion of the two attached fingers. All the movements taught are made natural so that they are easy to understand according to the interpretation of the deaf. Thus, it is hoped that this variation of BISINDO's sign language will be increasingly recognized and widely used in teaching deaf sign language.

Abstract

One study of ecranisation is a transformation from novel to film. One of the novels deserves to bestudied are El Shirazy’s Ketika Cinta Bertasbih (KCB) 1 and 2. The film is based on a novel, including thereception of research resources in the form of adaptations in other media. The presence of KCB novelwhich filmed later is the phenomenon of ecranisation which siphon attention from the public from allbackgrounds and ages. The differences which frequently arise in ecranisation have often caused by thedifferences in the literary system (novel) and film. The technical issues, such asmedia novel form of words and language, meanwhile the main media of film is an audio-visual (soundand picture). Therefore, it would be reasonable if the film is different from the novel. In the KCB noveland film, the differences that exist are not only technical problems, but a deliberate distinction with aspecific purpose as well. Based on the facts above, the KCB novel and film have many differences causedby the reception process through KCB novel conducted by film production (screenwriter, director, andproducer). This case is a problem which becomes question in the mind of the readers of the KCB novel.The literary reception towards KCB novel which eventually lead to the film is a creative act as a reader.

Abstract

Language plays an important role in communication domain. The role of a language would be an impact towards the receiver as the listener. In communication process, language is used as a mean of information exchange among humans. In addition, the language function speech out in different products. It means that there is an inconsistency between the speech and the meaning. This study actually would be discussing on speech implication. Speech implication concept is used to explain the differences appear between what was utterance and what was implicated. The method used in the research was qualitative descriptive. The place where the research conducted was IAIN Surakarta. The data source of the research were the informants; the situation, and the documents. The techniques of data collection were indepth interviewing, observation, and documents analysis. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The data was analyzed by using the interactive analysis model. The results of the research were implication which is found on the speech, happen because the disorder of relevance maxim, quantity maxim, quality maxim, and maxim of way. Each implicate has its own certain objective and meaning by its speaker.Keywords: speech; implication; maxim.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesantunan berbahasa dalam komentar akun X Gibran Rakabuming Raka pada bulan Oktober 2023. Pokok masalah yang diangkat adalah bagaimana prinsip-prinsip kesantunan berbahasa diterapkan dalam interaksi digital di media sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan pragmatik, di mana data diperoleh melalui pengumpulan dan analisis komentar pada akun tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas komentar mencerminkan kesantunan berbahasa dengan penggunaan bahasa yang sopan dan memperhatikan norma sosial. Namun, terdapat juga beberapa komentar yang menunjukkan ketidakseimbangan dalam kesantunan berbahasa. Kesimpulannya, meskipun media sosial memberikan ruang ekspresi bebas, norma kesantunan berbahasa tetap diterapkan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman tentang penerapan kesantunan berbahasa dalam komunikasi digital dan relevansinya dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Madrasah Aliyah.
