Abstract

Creative thinking can be fostered through simple things, such as handicrafts. Creative thinking can be fostered through simple things, such as handicrafts. Crafts can be interpreted as the result of a skill or craft that utilizes materials around us. One of the easiest handicrafts that can be done is making bags from paper. Paper bags are currently trending in Indonesia, especially in Bengkulu as a response to global warming. Problems identified among partners include ignorance in making paper bags, lack of packaging innovation. This community service aims to improve understanding of the use and management of paper bag businesses. The action steps that will be implemented are: 1) action preparation, 2) paper bag production training, and 3) monitoring and evaluation. Training is carried out using the sampling method and direct training for partners. The evaluation results show that the partners' understanding and skills have increased by an average of 45%. The partners already have an understanding and skills in the production and management of paper bag businesses.

Abstract

Majoring in mechanical engineering can be a very promising option for high school students who want to pursue a career in robotics technology. The development of the robotics industry continues to experience rapid growth as more and more manufacturers automate their facilities every year. Robotics learning provides students with combined material from various fields of science, especially mechanics, electronics, and computers. The rapid development of technology allows the development of artificial intelligence systems and automation in various fields. One of them is the field of robotics. This training uses a Line Follower robot because the manufacturing process is considered not too difficult, it is hoped that students can learn the manufacturing techniques quickly. This Community Service activity aims to improve the quality of knowledge and skills of high school students. They will be guided in training to make a Line Follower robot, a type of mobile robot that is tasked with detecting and following the guide lines available on the track. From this activity, the results of pre-test and post-test data from the participants, training modules, line-follower robots were obtained. The data obtained from the test results showed that there was an increase from 35.4% to 55.7% in basic knowledge and an increase of 56.6% in interest in robotics in students of SMAN 8 Kota Bengkulu after they received line follower robot training. In the results of community service, enthusiasm and high desire from students in deepening their knowledge of Line Follower robots were seen

Abstract

The creation, transmission, distribution, and consumption of electrical energy are the first steps in the provision of electrical energy. The efforts that are made to conserve energy need to be continuously improved to supply electricity that is affordable. In order to conserve energy, it is necessary to have the backing of technology, laws, and legislation, in addition to applying behavioral discipline to those who utilize energy. To put it simply, a smart energy meter is one of the fundamental components of conservation technology. At the moment, the bulk of PLN's 67.6 million clients make use of traditional energy meters that are powered by electromechanical technology. The measuring device has not been incorporated with the technology that is associated with the internet of things (IoT). On the other hand, electronic items like televisions, washing machines, and air conditioners have started to adopt the Internet of Things and become smart devices. The integration of smart gadgets and smart meters enables the creation of an energy management system that can be used to the consumption and distribution of electricity in residential or commercial facilities. At Tiara Sella Hospital, which has a high monthly energy consumption, this community service project was carried out in order to measure the optimization of energy use and to determine opportunities for improvement. It is believed that the installation of this energy meter would result in improved and more reliable methods of measuring and estimating the amount of energy that is utilized within the hospital setting, which will allow for more sustainable optimization efforts.
