Abstract

The educational achievement in Indonesia is measured by implementing the National Examination or Ujian Nasional (UN). Throughout its implementation, the UN results shown unsatisfying results, including in mathematics subjects. This fact indicated that there are mathematics topics that are considered to be difficult for students. This study aimed to investigate the difficult topics of mathematics in Vocational High School (VHS) based on UN data. This study was a descriptive research with the quantitative approach by using the UN report results in the level of VHS from Center for Educational Assessment of the Ministry of Education and Culture in the period of 2008 to 2017 (ten years) as a research data source. Data analysis was carried out in a quantitative descriptive by mapping the mathematics topics based on proportion correct answers or “daya serap”. A topic was considered difficult if the proportion correct answer was less than 50%. The results showed that there were 14 difficult mathematics topics in the UN implementation at the VHS level from 2008 to 2017. These topics include the comparison of trigonometric functions, solid figure, limit, measure of data dispersion, permutation and combination, differential, area between two curves, a measure of central data tendentious, probability, logarithm, integral, sequence and series, linear program, and polar coordinates system. The implications of the research findings for learning practice and future research opportunities are discussed.

Abstract

The unequal amount of questions that test students' lower and higher-order thinking skills is a concern in mathematics learning evaluation. The unequal amount of questions resulted in poor cognitive levels among students. The purpose of this study is to develop questions that may be used to assess the higher-order thinking skills of senior high school pupils and fulfill the requirements of being valid, practical, and effective. This study is a developmental research that employs the formative evaluation model. Validation sheets, student evaluation sheets, and examinations that measure students' higher-order thinking skills are among the data gathering procedures employed. According to the researchers' findings, the questions generated matched the valid, practical, and effective requirements. The valid criteria are based on the validators' assessments, and both validators agree that the questions created are good and possible to utilize with a few adjustments. Student answer papers to the established questions serve as the basis for practical criteria. According to the response form, 85 percent of pupils answered positively to the questions. Effective criteria are based on pupils' abilities to answer the questions that have been established. According to the test findings, 85 percent of students satisfied the minimal completeness requirements for both questions testing higher-order thinking skills, indicating that the questions were effective. The questions that have been developed by researchers can be used by teachers to evaluate students' higher-order thinking skills so that teachers do not only provide questions that measure students' lower-order thinking skills. In addition, the questions that have been developed can be used as a reference for developing questions that can measure students' higher-order thinking skills.

Abstract

The ability of creative thinking and mathematical communication is important in learning mathematics. However, in fact mathematics learning in schools today has not shown an optimal effort to help students develop creative thinking skills and mathematical communication skills. The purpose of this study is to examine the use of open-ended questions in mathematics learning and in the evaluation of mathematics learning to support the ability of creative thinking and mathematical communication skills of students, this will be implemented in the perspective of literature review. The type of research used is a systematic and structured literature review, where researchers synthesize relevant study results from international and national literature through Google Scholar, Eric, DOAJ, Scopus and ScienceDirect. Based on the analysis results obtained that mathematical learning using open-ended questions is effectively used to support the ability of creative thinking and mathematical communication skills of students; the provision of open-ended questions can be familiarized with providing learning methods leading to an open-ended approach; the test in the form of open-ended questions can be used as a tool to measure the ability of creative thinking and mathematical communication skills of students; the use of open-ended question can be applied to all levels of education; and the need for high creativity from teachers to prepare learning by applying open-ended questions.

Abstract

Mathematical literacy and self-efficacy are critical in learning, especially mathematics. In contrast to previous studies, which only describe mathematical literacy and self-efficacy, this study aims to describe the ability of mathematical literacy in terms of mathematical self-efficacy. This research was a survey research qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results of this study indicate that the mathematical literacy abilities of grade VIII students in junior high school in Yogyakarta with sample 436 students are in a low category and the mathematical self-efficacy in the medium category. The higher the students’ mathematical self-efficacy, the higher their mathematical literacy. Students with high mathematical self-efficacy also tend to keep their maximum effort because they have the confidence to solve math literacy questions. Students with medium mathematical self-efficacy tend to doubt their abilities when facing difficult mathematical literacy questions. Students with low mathematical self-efficacy tend not to be confident in solving them because they think they lack mathematical abilities. This research is expected to map the mathematical literacy abilities of junior high school students in Yogyakarta. Besides, it can make material for reflection in world education to improve it.

Abstract

HOTS is a very important aspect to be developed in learning mathematics because in solving non-routine real problems students need critical thinking skills and creative abilities. This literature review aims to provide an overview of the opportunities and challenges of developing high order thinking skills (HOTS) assessments in mathematics learning, especially from a non-technical perspective. Because of the many assessment developments that exist when applied to the assessment of the mathematics learning process. This study was conducted with reference to the method of conducting a literature review proposed by Creswell (2002) in which the study materials used were in the form of journal articles and proceedings. The results of the study indicate that the development of high order thinking skills (HOTS) assessments in mathematics learning has opportunities in terms of the positive influence obtained from the development of the high order thinking skills (HOTS) assessments, while the challenge is how to develop appropriate mathematics learning instruments. with indicators of high order thinking skills (HOTS) questions can be developed that are valid, practical, appropriate, and suitable for use, and maximize the assessment or assessment that will be carried out by the teacher at the end or beginning of learning. Thus, to obtain a positive influence from the development of high order thinking skills (HOTS) assessments in mathematics learning, teachers need to pay attention to these challenges.HOTS merupakan aspek yang sangat penting untuk dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran matematika karena dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan nyata yang tidak rutin siswa memerlukan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemampuan kreatif. Kajian literatur ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai peluang dan tantangan dari pengembangan asesmen high order thinking skills (HOTS) dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya dari segi non-teknis. Karena banyaknya pengembangan-pengembangan asesmen yang ada saat diterapkan untuk penilaikan proses pembelajaran matematika. Kajian ini dilakukan dengan mengacu pada metode pelaksanaan kajian literatur yang diajukan oleh Creswell (2002) di mana bahan kajian yang digunakan berupa artikel jurnal dan prosiding. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan asesmen high order thinking skills (HOTS) dalam pembelajaran matematika memiliki peluang dalam hal pengaruh yang positif yang diperoleh dari pengembangan asesmen high order thinking skills (HOTS) tersebut, sedangkan tantangan yang ada berupa bagaimana mengembangan instrumen dalam pembelajaran matematika yang sesuai dengan indikator soal high order thinking skills (HOTS) dapat dikembangkan dengan valid, praktis, sesuai, dan layak digunakan, dan memaksimalkan penilaian atau asesmen yang akan dilakukan oleh guru diakhir atau awal pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, untuk memperoleh pengaruh positif dari pengembangan asesmen high order thinking skills (HOTS) pembelajaran matematika, guru perlu memperhatikan tantangan-tantangan tersebut.

Abstract

Communication skills and high-order thinking skills or HOTS need to be honed in this era, so the aim of this research is to develop financial mathematics HOTS questions to support the mathematical communication skills of grade 11 Vocational High School students. The research method used is development research with a formative research type model. The subjects of this study were 3 grade 11 SMK Negeri in Yogyakarta. The research instrument uses tests and interview guidelines. Data collection techniques using documentation, walkthroughs, tests, and interviews. Data analysis techniques using descriptive techniques. The research results obtained were 15 HOTS questions of mathematical communication on financial mathematics material. The resulting questions have very valid criteria with a validity level of more than 0.8. The questions have a reliability coefficient of more than 0.6 so the questions are very reliable. The questions have differentiating power in the good category. The difficulty level of the questions has 2 categories, namely medium and easy. The distractor on the resulting problem works well. The average test result is in the very good category with a value of 73.13. Based on this research, it is hoped that there will be follow-up in compiling questions for mathematical communication skills in other materials.Kemampuan komunikasi dan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi perlu diasah di era ini, sehingga tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan soal HOTS matematika keuangan untuk menunjang kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMK kelas 11. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian pengembangan dengan model tipe formative research. Subjek penelitian ini 3 kelas 11 SMK Negeri in Yogyakarta. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi, walkthrough, tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Teknik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu 15 Soal HOTS komunikasi matematis pada materi matematika keuangan. Soal yang dihasilkan memiliki kriteria sangat valid dengan tingkat validitas lebih dari 0,8. Soal memiliki hasil koefisien reliabilitas lebih dari 0.6 sehingga soal sangat reliabel. Soal memiliki daya pembeda pada kategori baik. Tingkat kesulitan soal memiliki 2 kategori yaitu sedang dan mudah. Distraktor pada soal yang dihasilkan berfungsi dengan baik. Rata-rata hasil tes pada kategori sangat baik dengan nilai 73,13. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, diharapkan ada tindak lanjut dalam menyusun soal untuk kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada materi lainnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan model yang cocok dalam melakukan peramalan harga daging ayam broiler di Pasar Kranggan sehingga diperoleh hasil peramalan yang tidak berbeda jauh dengan harga aktualnya. Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif dengan objeknya yaitu harga daging ayam broiler di Pasar Kranggan. Terdapat 2 metode pada penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan yaitu metode ARIMA dan Double Exponential Smoothing dengan dibantu oleh software Rstudio. Kedua metode tersebut kemudian akan dibandingkan nilai keakuratan peramalannya dengan melihat nilai pengukuran kesalahannya. Metode dengan nilai pengukuran kesalahan terkecil, dapat dikatakan bahwa metode tersebut merupakan metode yang tepat untuk meramalkan harga daging ayam broiler di Pasar Kranggan. Dalam penelitian ini, nilai pengukuran kesalahan terkecilnya terdapat pada metode ARIMA dengan MAPE sebesar 0,4851034, MSE sebesar 0,02195757 dan RMSE sebesar 0,06482779. Pada metode ini model ARIMA (2,1,1) menunjukan model terbaik dalam melakukan peramalan harga daging ayam Broiler di Pasar Kranggan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode ARIMA merupakan metode terbaik dalam melakukan peramalan harga daging ayam Broiler di Pasar Kranggan dibandingkan dengan metode Double Exponential Smoothing.Kata kunci: Harga Ayam Broiler, ARIMA, Double Exponential Smoothing, Rstudio.

Abstract

pple-interchange-newline" Rancangan Faktorial adalah rancangan yang dilakukan dengan mengkombinasikan taraf dari suatu faktordengan taraf faktor lainya. Jika Faktor yang digunakan banyak maka semakin banyak kombinasi perlakuan yangdihasilkan. Untuk mengurangi kombinasi perlakuan dapat menggunakan rancangan Fractional Factorial. Rancangan Fractional Factorial (FF) merupakan rancangan yang hanya meneliti sebagian dari kombinasi perlakuan yang lengkap tanpa harus menghilangkan informasi penting. Penelitian pada rancangan FF dilakukan tanpa pengulangan. Metode Bissell adalah metode ilmiah yang dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor yang signifikan dalam suatu percobaan pada data tanpa pengulangan. Tujuan penelitian ialah menjelaskan langkah-langkah penggunaan metode Bissell untuk menentukan faktor yang signifikan dengan rancangan FF 3�−� dan langkah-langkah aplikasi metode Bissel dengan rancangan FF 3�−� pada percobaan mesin bubut. Pembentukan struktur rancangan FF 3�−� ditentukan oleh pemilihan generator, defining relation, alias serta resolusi yang digunakan. Pembentukan struktur rancangan terbaik berdasarkan resolusi maksimum dan Minimum Aberration (MA). Aplikasi metode Bissell dengan rancangan FF 3�−� pada skripsi ini yaitu studi kasus percobaan mesin bubut. Penelitian pada data sekunder yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan fraksi � = 1 dan banyak faktornya 3 serta masing-masing terdiri atas tiga taraf yaitu : (1) cutting speed (180 mm/min, 200 mm/mim, 220 mm/min), (2) feed rate (0,1 mm/rev, 0,18 mm/rev,0,26 mm/rev) (3) nose radius (0,4 mm, 0,8 mm, 1,2 mm). Penelitian mesin bubut menghasilkan 2 output percobaan yaitu kekasaran permukaan (Surface Roughness / SR) dan laju pemakanan material (Material Removal Rate / MRR). Hasil penelitian pada output SR dan MRR menghasilkan faktor yang signifikan adalah nose radius dan feed rate.

Abstract

Tingginya pertumbuhan penduduk dapat mempengaruhi kepadatan penduduk. Jumlah penduduk cenderung meningkat setiap tahunnya terutama di Kabupaten Sleman salah satu kabupaten di Yogyakarta dengan jumlah  penduduk terbanyak. Peramalan jumlah penduduk sangat diperlukan karena data jumlah penduduk sering dijadikan sebagai dasar untuk perencanaan maupun sasaran pembangunan di waktu yang akan datang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan model yang cocok dalam peramalan jumlah penduduk pada tahun 2021 – 2023 dengan metode Auto Regressive Integrative Moving Average (ARIMA) dan meramalkan jumlah penduduk pada tahun 2021– 2023 dengan metode ARIMA. Proses peramalan dimulai dengan identifikasi model data dengan melakukan uji stasioneritas dalam varians dan rata-rata. Dalam mengembangkan model ARIMA, perlu dilakukan analisis fungsi autokorelasi (ACF) dan fungsi autokorelasi parsial (PACF) dengan melihat plot ACF atau PACF. Kemudian melakukan estimasi parameter untuk model ARIMA yang dipilih apakah parameter tersebut significant dan layak untuk dijadikan model. Dilakukan pemeriksaan diagnostik dengan pengujian asumsi normalitas dan asumsi residual white noise. Kemudian, tahap peramalan dan pengecekan tingkat akurasi peramalan dengan nilai MAPE. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah penduduk diperkirakan akan meningkat setiap tahunnya. Setelah dianalisis, model terbaik yang didapatkan adalah model ARIMA(0,2,1) karena nilai Mean Absolute Precentage Error (MAPE) dari model tersebut yaitu sebesar 3,62%. Artinya tingkat akurasi dari metode ARIMA tersebut adalah 96,38%.

Abstract

Assessment has an important role in the learning process. Assessment is not only used to see the results of students' learning achievements but is also used to improve the learning process. PISA (Program for International Assessment) is a study of international level assessment organized by the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development). Indonesia is one of the participating countries in the PISA study. However, the content of the questions within the PISA framework is still relatively small in the available teaching materials. So educators in Indonesia have begun to make adjustments and conduct research on the development of PISA-type assessments. The purpose of this article is to examine the PISA type of mathematical assessment that has been developed. Then, the potential effects of the problems that have been developed will be seen. This study uses the literature review method by reviewing and reviewing articles on PISA-type mathematical assessments. Article collection was carried out on Google Scholar and Research Gate in the period 2015-2021. Based on the results of the research that has been reviewed, it is known that the potential effects of the developed PISA type of mathematical assessment include problem-solving, mathematical literacy, communication skills, and reasoning abilities.
