Abstract

Abstract:  Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by the coronavirus. WHO has declared Covid-19 a pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic has become one of the toughest periods for all countries experiencing it, including Indonesia. The government has taken various measures by issuing regulations to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to implementing health protocols, the government has implemented a policy of vaccinating Covid-19. Even though the vaccination program has been carried out, some people still have doubts about vaccines, it can be said that people do not understand the use of vaccines. Based on this description, community service activities were carried out regarding the socialization of Covid-19 vaccination in Cangakan villages, Wironanggan, Gatak, Sukoharjo, and distribution of necessities to surrounding communities who were undergoing independent isolation. The method of activity used in this community service activity uses several stages, namely a survey of the target group, identification of program needs, preparation of facilities and infrastructure, implementation, and evaluation. The results of this community service activity are that residents in Cangakan Village, Wironanggan, Gatak, Sukoharjo have come to understand the covid-19 vaccination and understand the importance of covid-19 vaccination as an effort to prevent covid-19, and by distributing necessities to the surrounding community can help ease the burden on residents. affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.Abstrak: Covid-19 merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh virus corona. WHO telah menetapkan Covid-19 sebagai pandemi. Pandemi Covid-19 menjadi salah satu periode yang berat bagi semua negara yang mengalaminya, termasuk Indonesia. Berbagai cara dilakukan pemerintah dengan mengeluarkan aturan untuk menanggulangi pandemi Covid-19. Selain penerapan protokol kesehatan, pemerintah menerapkan kebijakan melakukan vaksinasi Covid-19. Meskipun program vaksinasi sudah dilakukan, masih terdapat keraguan pada sebagian masyarakat terhadap vaksin, bisa dikatakan masyarakat belum paham mengenai kegunaan vaksin. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut, maka dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat mengenai sosialisasi vaksinasi covid-19 di Desa Cangakan, Wironanggan, Gatak, Sukoharjo dan pembagian sembako pada masyarakat sekitar yang sedang menjalani isolasi mandiri. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dengan menggunakan beberapa tahapan, yaitu survei kelompok sasaran, identifikasi kebutuhan program, persiapan sarana dan prasarana, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah warga di Desa Cangakan, Wironanggan, Gatak, Sukoharjo menjadi paham tentang vaksinasi covid-19 dan paham pentingnya vaksinasi covid-19 sebagai upaya pencegahan covid-19, dan dengan pembagian sembako pada masyarakat sekitar dapat membantu meringankan beban warga yang terdampak pandemi covid-19.

Abstract

Abstract: Hand washing is one way to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 and other infectious diseases. Based on the results of observations that have been made, there are still some residents in Danguran Klaten Selatan Village who have not paid much attention to the dangers of the Covid-19 virus, some residents have still not implemented health protocols such as washing their hands. Thus, it is necessary to socialize and empower the community in Danguran Klaten Selatan Village. The purpose of community service activities is to increase the knowledge and understanding of residents in Danguran Klaten Selatan Village about the importance of washing hands as an effort to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. The method of implementing this community service activity is socialization and education through mentoring and counseling on the main and supporting activity programs. Community service activities are carried out through several stages. First, a target group survey was conducted. Second, identify the need for community service activities. Third, preparation of the facilities and infrastructure needed for community service activities. Fourth, the implementation of community service activities. The results of community service activities are that residents of Danguran Klaten Selatan Village gain knowledge, understanding, and experience regarding preventive measures against Covid-19.Abstrak: Cuci tangan merupakan salah satu cara mencegah penularan Covid-19 dan penyakit menular lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang telah dilakukan, masih ada beberapa warga di Desa Danguran Klaten Selatan belum terlalu memperhatikan bahaya virus Covid-19, beberapa warga masih belum menerapkan protokol kesehatan seperti mencuci tangan. Dengan demikian, perlu adanya sosialisasi dan pemberdayaan masyarakat di Desa Danguran Klaten Selatan. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman warga di Desa Danguran Klaten Selatan tentang pentingnya mencuci tangan sebagai upaya pencegahan penularan Covid-19. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah sosialisasi dan edukasi melalui pendampingan dan penyuluhan program kegiatan utama dan pendukung. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan. Pertama, dilakukan survei kelompok sasaran. Kedua, identifikasi kebutuhan kegiatan pengabdian. Ketiga, persiapan sarana dan prasarana yang diperlukan dalam kegiatan pengabdian. Keempat, pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah warga Desa Danguran Klaten Selatan mendapatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan pengalaman mengenai tindakan pencegahan terhadap Covid-19.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan salah satu dari sekian banyak negara yang terdampak pandemi covid-19. Sepanjang tahun 2021 Indonesia mengalami berbagai dinamika dan tantangan dalam penangan pandemi Covid-19. Kasus Covid-19 di Indonesia masih tinggi disebabkan oleh beberapa hal. Berdasarkan hasil observasi diketahui bahwa masyarakat di Desa Danguran Klaten Selatan masih kurang dalam pemahaman dan kesadaran terhadap pencegahan Covid-19. Sehingga perlu dilaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di wilayah ini. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Danguran Klaten Selatan dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi kesehatan sebagai upaya pencegahan Covid-19. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mencegah penularan dan perluasan Covid-19. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan dengan edukasi kesehatan baik langsung, secara online, maupun melalui poster, serta pembagian jamu dan vitamin kepada masyarakat di Desa Danguran Klaten Selatan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat di Desa Danguran Klaten Selatan mendapat pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai Covid-19 dan varian terbaru Covid-19, cara menggunakan masker double (ganda) dengan benar, vaksin Covid-19, peningkatan imunitas melalui konsumsi jamu dan vitamin, cara menjaga jarak dengan benar, serta perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat.

Abstract

Pangan Fungsional adalah pangan yang karena kandungan komponen aktifnya dapat memberikan manfaat bagi kesehatan, diluar manfaat yang diberikan oleh zat-zat gizi yang terkandung di dalamnya. Olahan buah naga merah menjadi selai dapat memiliki nilai fungsi yang lebih tinggi. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman kepada peserta pengabdian masyarakat dalam pengolahan buah naga merah menjadi selai. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah Ibu-Ibu PKK Desa Tegalyoso Klaten Selatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei serta ceramah langsung pendidikan kesehatan tentang pangan fungsional dan cara mengolah buah naga merah menjadi selai. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah ibu-ibu PKK Desa Tegalyoso Klaten Selatan paham mengenai pangan fungsional, khususnya olahan buah naga merah. Adanya kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat kepada ibu-ibu PKK Desa Tegalyoso Klaten Selatan serta dapat membuat dan menyediakan pangan fungsional secara mandiri, khususnya olahan buah naga.

Abstract

Candy is a snack that is loved by almost everyone of all ages. Jelly candy is a candy made from vegetable or fruit essence, forming a gel, with a soft texture, clear color, and a certain level of elasticity. Broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica) contains vitamins, folate, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, potassium, and calcium. Red ginger (Zingiber officinale var. rubrum Theilade) contains gingerol compounds, flavonoids, phenols, terpenoids, and essential oils. The purpose of this study was to determine the organoleptic characteristics, water content, and reducing sugar jelly candy with variations of broccoli and red ginger. This study uses a quantitative experimental method. The research procedures included preparing broccoli, preparing red ginger, making jelly candy with 3 formulas, and evaluating jelly candy. The results showed that the organoleptic of the three jelly candy formulas had a distinctive aroma of broccoli and red ginger, brownish green color, spicy-sweet taste, and chewy texture. The water content of the jelly candy in the three formulas was 17.22% (F1), 18.33% (F2), and 18.17% (F3) respectively. Reducing sugar for jelly candy in the three successive formulas was 18.6% (F1), 16.3% (F2), and 19.3% (F3). The water content and reduced sugar of jelly candy with variations of broccoli and red ginger have met the quality requirements for soft confectionery, SNI 3547-2-2008. The results in this study, the water content and reducing sugar were below the maximum number of predetermined soft confectionery quality requirements.

Abstract

Nginang was chewing the raw green betel leaf combined with areca nut and gambier seeds, it was Indonesian people’s habit in ancient times to maintain the dental health. Over time, the nginang mixture was developed into a mouthwash formula to make it easier and acceptable to use. Mouthwash is a liquid form preparation with a pleasant taste and smell, to keep clean the mouth. The phytochemical content in the nginang herbs was tannin which is a phenolic compound. The mechanism of action of phenolics was by inactivated the microbial cell adhesion and to avoid the attached to host cells by the cell surface. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial activity by inhibitory zones diameter of the formula of nginang herb mouthwash against Streptococcus mutans bacteria. This type of research was descriptive and quantitative with an experimental research design. The experimental research by making mouthwash formulations of nginang herb extract (green betel leaf, areca seed, and gambier) in three formulas with a concentration ratio of green betel leaf: areca nut: gambir, that were Formula 1(3%:3% :3%), Formula 2 (3%:2%:1%), and Formula 3 (3%:1%:2%), the quality of the formulas was carried out by physical quality parameters (organoleptic, pH, clarity, and viscosity), and the antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans. The results of this study of the three formulas were had liquid form, clear to browny color, and slightly smell like mint and extract, the pH at 5.4, and had a viscosity value about 0.79. The results of antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mutans study was indicated that the formula which contain of green betel leaf, areca seed, and gambier had very strong category based of the inhibitory zone.

Abstract

Premature aging is a health problem that attacks facial skin and is very disturbing appearance. This can be overcome of them with antioxidant compounds. Sources of natural antioxidant compounds in Indonesia are found in Moringa leaves and white glutinous rice. The use of antioxidants is facilitated by making them into cosmetic preparations, one of which is scrub cream. This study aims to determine the physical quality and antioxidant activity of a cream scrub combined with Moringa leaf extract and glutinous rice starch. This research begins with the extraction of moringa leaves and white glutinous rice starch. Moringa leaf extract and white glutinous rice starch obtained were then made into cream scrub preparations at 4 concentration variations, with a comparison of Moringa leaf extract and white glutinous rice starch F0 (0%:0%), F1 (25%:75%), F2 ( 50%:50%) and F3 (75%:25%). The quality test of the luxurious cream included an organoleptic test, pH test, spreadability test, adhesion test, and irritation test. An antioxidant activity test was carried out using the DPPH method. The results showed that the combination of Moringa Leaf Extract (Moringa oleifera) and White Glutinous Rice Starch can be formulated as a cream scrub, with the results of physical quality both organoleptic, pH, spreadability, adhesion, and irritation fulfilling the requirements, and antioxidant activity in the strong category at F3.

Abstract

Covid-19 is a disease that develops rapidly and spreading in several countries. Efforts to prevent covid-19 are carried out by the government through the Ministry of Health by instructing awareness and compliance in the use of masks when outdoors. This needs to be done because Covid-19 can be easily transmitted through the respiratory tract and through contact with contaminated surfaces. Based on observations at the beginning of the pandemic, the people around Kroyo Village, Karangmalang, Sragen, have not all understood the prevention of covid-19 and not all people use masks. Therefore, community service activities are carried out with the aim of providing education on the prevention of covid-19 and the distribution of masks in the Area of Kroyo Village, Karangmalang, Sragen. The method of activity used in this community service activity is education to residents about the prevention of Covid-19 and distribution of masks. The result of this community service activity is that people in the Kroyo Village Area, Karangmalang, Sragen understand about the prevention of Covid-19 and understand the importance of implementing health protocols, including using masks as an effort to prevent Covid-19

Abstract

Pandemi Covid-19 menjadi periode yang berat bagi bangsa Indonesia, memberikan dampak dalam berbagai aspek. Berbagai cara yang dilakukan pemerintah untuk menanggulangi pandemi Covid-19. Pada masa pandemi Covid-19 banyak masyarakat di sekitar Desa Ngasinan Weleri Kendal, yang belum menyadari pentingnya mencegah penularan Covid-19. Maka perlu dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tujuan pencegahan dan penanggulangan Covid-19 melalui pendidikan kesehatan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat di Desa Ngasinan Weleri Kendal. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat meliputi program bantuan kepada warga desa Ngasinan yang terpapar Covid 19, penyemprotan disinfektan, pembagian masker, penempelan poster ditempat umum dan rumah warga. Program penyuluhan cara mencuci tangan dengan benar, penyuluhan mengenai varian baru Covid-19, penyuluhan cara menggunakan masker double dengan benar, penyuluhan mengenai keharusan menjaga jarak, pendidikan kesehatan pentingnya vaksin Covid 19. Seluruh kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berjalan lancar, dan tanggapan warga di Desa Ngasinan Weleri Kendal terhadap kegiatan ini adalah baik sekali karena mereka merasa terbantu dengan adanya kegiatan ini. Masyarakat di Desa Ngasinan Weleri Kendal menjadi paham tentang pencegahan covid-19.
