Abstract

This research was conducted at one private school in Cianjur Regency. The population in this study were all students in junior high schools in Cianjur. The sample in this study were eighth grade students of one of the junior high schools in Cianjur. from all the VIII classes, two classes were randomly selected to be the research sample. then from the two classes one class was chosen as the experimental class which was taught by the guided Inquiry method while the other class was used as a control class that received the usual learning treatment. The instruments used in this study took the form of a description of as many as five question numbers which included questions about students' mathematical communication skills. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. In the study there are two groups, namely the control class and the experimental class. The experimental class was treated with the guided inquiry method and the control class gained conventional learning. To measure the ability of students' mathematical problems, the experimental class group and the control class are given a pretest before the learning treatment and posttest as difficult as the learning treatment. Based on the posttest data analysis shows that there are significant differences in mathematical communication skills where the mathematical creative thinking ability of students with the use of inquiry methods is better than conventional learning classes. This is because the steps of the inquiry method allow students to have enough time to assimilate and accommodate any relevant information so as to broaden and deepen students' understanding of the material being studied.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze student interest in learning through the GeoGebra program. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method with a population of all elementary school students in Pangkalan Bandung. The sample used in this study was 29 fifth grade elementary school students in Pangkalan in the matter of building volume. The instrument used was the Student Interest Scale with many 20 statement statements that had positive and negative responses about learning using the GeoGebra program. The scale of students 'interest in learning is used to look for responses from respondents on elementary / MI students' interest in learning on the GeoGebra program material. The results of this study indicate a positive response to the learning of the volume of the building using the GeoGebra program with the average response given indicates a strong category with the percentage of results obtained is 66,69%. The average is obtained from the data of each indicator of student interest in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the confidence of junior high school students of class IX on geogebra application assisted material. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive study with the population of all middle school students in West Bandung regency. The sample used was class IX students of SMPN 3 Cihampelas as many as 36 students on space building material. The instrument used was a student confidence scale with 14 statements that had positive and negative responses about learning using the geogebra application. This scale is used to look for responses from respondents on the confidence of junior high school students on building materials with learning assisted by geogebra applications. With the results of the questionnaire answered by students showed that students' confidence in learning materials to build space with geogebra application media showed positive results with an average response showed a strong category with the acquisition of a percentage of 68.25%. The average was obtained from the data of each indicator Student confidence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the learning interest of MTs students in Rajamandala in mathematical learning with the help of geogebra aplication on cylinder material. This research user descriptive qualitative method, which is a study that aims to contain descriptions, images or paintings systematically, actually, and accurately about the nature and relationship between the phenomena studied. The sample of this study was grade IX students at MTs Almuktariah in the 2019/2020 academic year, totaling 23 students. The test used in this study is observation and the provision of interest in learning questionnaires. The results showed that 1) indicators of feeling happy with the highest percentage of positive statements 69,22% answered agreeing with good learning interest catagories, while for negative statements only 30,77% of students who answered strongly disagree; 2) indocators of student interest with the percentage of postitve statements 38,46% of students answered in agreement, whereas for negative statements 15,38% of students answered agree and disagree, while negative statements 15,38% who answered strongly disagree. Tujuan dari peneilitain ini adalah untuk mengetahui minat belajar siswa MTs di Rajamandala dalam pembelajaran matematik dengan berbantuan aplikasi geogebra materi tabung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu suatu penelitian yang bertujuan untuk memuat deskripsi, gambaran atau lukisan secara sistematis, akurat dan aktual mengenai sifat serta hubungan antara fenomena yang diteliti. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX di MTs Almuktariah tahun ajaran 2019/2020 yang berjumlah 23 orang siswa. Tes yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan pemberian angket minat belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) indikator perasaan senang dengan persentase tertinggi pernyataan positif 69,22% menjawab setuju dengan kategori minat belajar baik, sedangkan untuk pernyataan negatif hanya 30,77% siswa yang menjawab sangat tidak setuju; 2) indikator ketertarikan siswa dengan persentase pernyataan positif 38,46 % siswa menjawab setuju, sedangkan untuk pernyataan negatif 15,38% siswa menjawab sangat tidak setuju; 3) indikator keterlibatan siswa untuk pernyataan positif 38,46% menjawab setuju dan tidak setuju, sedangkan pernyataan negatif 15,38% yang menjawab sangat tidak setuju.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research (classroom action research). This research was conducted on class XI OTKP-2 SMK TI Garuda Nusantara in the academic year 2021-2022 with a total of 15 students. The purpose of this research is to find out the use of Problem Based Learning approach in the learning process to improve student learning outcomes in mathematical logic subjects. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, documentation and test questions. The steps of Classroom Action Research are 2 cycles by doing a pre-cycle (before the action), doing worksheets, and finally giving a final test (after giving the action). Data processing in this study using excel. The results of this study indicate that the Problem Based Learning approach can improve student learning outcomes in class XI OTKP-2 SMK TI Garuda Nusantara with the acquisition of grades in cycle 1 as many as 4 students (26.67%) increasing in cycle 2 or final test as many as 13 students ( 86.66%). It can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning approach can improve student learning outcomes in the material of mathematical logic for class XI.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the results of the analysis of the difficulties of class X SMK students in solving logarithm material problems. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of the study were 14 students of class X Nurses at SMK Kesehatan Bakti As-Syukur. The research instrument consisted of 5 logarithm material test questions. The data collection technique used in this study was in the form of test results by looking at the location of students' errors in solving questions. The data processing technique used is to calculate the percentage of student mastery of the questions with Microsoft Excel 2010 to be able to analyze student difficulties. The results of the study show that only question number 3 has a percentage of mastery of the material which is still below 72% so it can be said that most students still have difficulty in solving problem number 3 which has indicators of manipulating logarithm forms based on logarithm properties. From the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the difficulty of class X SMK students in solving logarithm problems lies in the indicators of manipulating the logarithm form based on the properties of logarithms, namely; (1) Students have difficulty in simplifying.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the difficulties experienced by students in solving story problems in teaching materials for the Two Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) in secondary schools. The system of linear equations of two variables, or often called SPLDVs, is one of the most familiar materials in everyday life. The survey was also conducted in a secondary school in West Bandung Province with a total of 27 class VIII B students. A sample of 10 individuals was taken for further analysis to represent students with high, medium and low abilities. Qualitative descriptive method was also used in this study. Data collection itself is done through student test sheets containing two story questions with different levels of difficulty. The test results showed that (1) the students did not understand the story questions, and (2) the students were not comfortable in modifying and modeling the story questions. (3) retraining is needed because they are not familiar with converting values to mathematical models using the substitution method.

Abstract

With the help of teaching aids, this study intends to show how mathematics learning outcomes among students have improved. The sub-material used in this study is about slices and combinations. The venn diagram board is the teaching aid used in this research. This type of research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted in one of the junior high schools in Purwakarta Regency by involving 20 students of class VII as research subjects. The data collection technique used in this research is using a written test (daily test) in the form of a description of 8 items. Processing of data from the results of the written test in this study is using the percentage formula. Based on the data analysis of students' mathematics learning outcomes, namely a) In the first cycle there were 6 students (30%) who completed and 14 students (70%) did not complete, b) In the second cycle there were 12 students (60%) who completed and 8 students (40%) which are not completed. So based on the results of the analysis obtained from this study, it can be seen that learning by using teaching aids media can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in learning mathematics on the material of straight line equations using the Problem Based Learning approach. This research method is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out through 2 cycles. The research subjects were 19 students of SMP Negeri 16 Cimahi class VIII C. To obtain research data used instruments in the form of essay tests, interviews, and observation questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative. The results showed an increase in learning outcomes, in the first cycle students whose scores reached the KKM were 10 students (52.63%), in the second cycle there were 16 students (89.47%), besides that when learning was carried out students were more active in asking questions, and discuss. Thus, it is concluded that the Problem Based Learning approach can improve learning outcomes and student activity in learning the material of Straight Line Equations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in student learning outcomes in each cycle by using a problem based learning approach. The study was conducted in class VII of SMP Negeri 16 Cimahi in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), the research is carried out in cycle II. The initial stage of the researcher consists of the planning stage, the implementation stage, the observation stage and the reflection stage. The instrument used is a test in the form of questions and non-test by making observations. This research data processing uses the percentage formula with the help of microsoft excel. The research subjects were 14 seventh grade students from SMP Negeri 16 Cimahi in the 2021/2022 academic year. The results of this study stated that in cycles 1 and 2 there was an increase in student learning outcomes. In the first cycle of student learning outcomes that is equal to 35.7% and in cycle 2 there is an increase in student learning outcomes that is equal to 90.63%.
