Abstract

Through the use of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach, this activity seeks to improve mathematics learning outcomes. This research uses classroom action research as its methodology. At An-Naja Middle School, this research was conducted. The sample of this study amounted to 15 students, and the implementation took place in November. RPP, LKPD, and description exam questions are research tools used. The written test data processing technique in this study used the percentage. The results showed that 1) by using the RME approach, student learning outcomes have increased as indicated by the increase in student learning success, where the average value of students in the first cycle is 38.80 with a percentage of 6.6% and increased to 89.40 with a percentage value of 100 % in cycle II. The application of the method can be concluded from the research findings. The application of realistic mathematics teaching strategies can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to find and analyze student errors in students' problem-solving abilities when solving questions on the SPLDV material. The subjects of this study were 10 students in class X at West Bandung Regency Vocational High School using descriptive quantitative methods which were carried out through WhatsApp groups (WAG) where data processing using Ms. Excel. Based on the results of the analysis of the percentage of completeness in this study, it is known that the level of students' mathematical problem solving is in the medium category. Therefore, the researcher can conclude that further research is needed in the future on students' mathematical problem solving abilities with the aim of producing data that can be used as evaluation and analysis material to produce a learning model that can improve mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mathematical literacy abilities of class IXA students at SMPN 1 Saguling through PISA type questions on Statistics material. The research was conducted at SMP N 1 Saguling class IXA with a sample of 29 research subjects. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The tool used in this research process is a three-item descriptive test. The research process was carried out by analyzing students' answers/responses to link statistical material with other data and contextual questions which were divided into three levels of competency classification: low, medium and high. The data analysis technique in this study is by condensing data, presenting data, and drawing or verifying conclusions. The results showed that the math literacy skills of the students of SMP Negeri 1 Saguling were moderate based on the test scores/responses collected.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze students' learning difficulties in independent learning. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. An example of this research is SMA Class VIII-A. Dharma Kartini Simahi has 28 students. Purposive sampling method. The data collected is in the form of a 3-point assessment tool with specific questions about students' ability to follow the Polya heuristic steps. Methods of data analysis include data management through objective definitions and qualitative analysis of student achievement test results. The learning barriers found in this study are ontogenic barriers (conceptual errors), epistemological barriers (practical problems) and educational barriers (teaching problems). The results showed that 43% of students were able to explain the problem and the lowest score in solving the problem was 14% of the total.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis adalah salah satu kemampuan yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa agar mampu secara matematis memecahkan masalah sering dijumpai di kehidupan nyata. Indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis meliputi mampu memahami masalah, merencanakan strategi pemecahan masalah, melakukan strategi atau prosedur pemecahan masalah, dan memeriksa kebenaran jawaban atau hasil yang diperoleh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP ditinjau dari Kemampuan Awal Matematik (KAM). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deksriptif. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII F SMP Angkasa Lanud Sulaiman yang berjumlah 30 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa tes soal uraian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sebanyak 5 soal. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan mengelompokkan siswa berdasarkan hasil Penilaian Tengah Semester (PTS) sebagai kemampuan awal siswa. Siswa dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok, yaitu kelompok KAM atas, kelompok KAM menengah dan kelompok KAM bawah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kesulitan mengerjakan soal nomor 5 dan baik siswa kelompok KAM atas, KAM menengah maupun KAM bawah, siswa kurang menguasai indikator ke-4 yaitu memeriksa kebenaran jawaban. Kata kunci: kemampuan awal matematika, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. ABSTRACT Mathematical problem solving ability is one of the abilities that must be mastered by students in order to be able to mathematically solve problems often found in real life. Indicators of mathematical problem solving capabilities include being able to understand problems, plan problem solving strategies, perform strategies or procedures for problem solving, and check the truth of answers or results obtained. This study aims to determine the mathematical problem solving abilities of junior high school students in terms of Early Mathematical Ability (KAM). The method used in this study is descriptive. The research subjects were class VIII F Space Junior High School Sulaiman Air Base which numbered 30 people. The instrument used in the study was a test of the questions about the mathematical problem solving abilities of 5 questions. Analysis of the data used in this study is to classify students based on the results of the Middle Semester Assessment (PTS) as students' initial abilities. Students are divided into three groups, namely the upper KAM group, the middle KAM group and the lower KAM group. The results showed that students had difficulty working on the number 5 questions and both the upper KAM group students, the middle KAM and the lower KAM students, students did not master the 4th indicator, namely checking the correctness of the answers. Keywords: initial mathematical abilities, mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

The research was carried out with the aim of analyzing the mathematical communication skills of students on quadrilateral material in terms of self-directing learning. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. As many as 30 students of class VII A from SMP Pasundan 1 Cimahi were the subjects of this study. The data collection technique was in the form of a self-rating scale of self-directed learning (SRSSDL) questionnaire and a test instrument of 3 questions with indicators of written mathematical communication skills and interviews. The results showed that students with high self-directing learning had high mathematical communication skills by fulfilling all aspects of mathematical communication abilities. Students who are self-directing learning have average mathematical communication skills and are able to fulfill 2 aspects of mathematical communication skills, namely writing text and mathematical expression. Students whose self-directing learning is low have low mathematical communication skills which are only able to fulfill 1 aspect of mathematical communication ability, namely writing text and 1 indicator on the aspect of mathematical expression.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop an animated learning video using Plotagon Studio that is feasible and practical for teaching mathematics in class. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model, consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The research was conducted at Margaasih 1 Public Middle School, involving 10 class IX students in a small-scale trial and 36 class IX students in a large-scale trial. Validation was carried out by media experts, material experts, and math teachers. Data was collected through a student response questionnaire and processed using Microsoft Excel to calculate the average. Products developed according to the 4D research method and meet the success criteria in small-scale trials with a validation percentage of media experts 60%, material experts 63%, and teachers 63%, as well as in large-scale trials with a validation percentage of media experts 85%, experts material 92%, and teachers 96%. Products that have been validated are then tested on students in small-scale trials with a percentage of 71% showing practical criteria, and large-scale trials with 86% percentage showing very practical criteria.

Abstract

The development of science and technology requires learning activities for the use of technology. The purpose of this training is to introduce MEDICAL can be used in learning the lesson-based studies. The method used is a workshop with the concept of lesson study, where there are three stages, namely plan, do, see. This training is aimed at teachers in the MA Assaidiyah Cipanas. The results of the training, namely the response of the teachers to lesson study were very enthusiastic because they knew the benefits and effectiveness of teaching and learning activities, MEDIS was very efficient and attractive in its use in accordance with the demands of the times, it saved energy, costs, it was easy, it did not need a large room and was easy to distribute.
