Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of feeding probiotic fermented bread waste rations on broiler internal organs. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Farm, Udayana University, Jalan Raya Sesetan, Denpasar. This study lasted for eight week, using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of five treatments and four replications. Each experimental unit was filled with four broilers that had a homogeneous body weight of 51.07 ± 5.53g. The five treatments consisted of R0 (commercial ration without bakery waste and probiotic bacteria Probio-BaliTani), R1 (commercial ration 90% + 10% bakery waste fermented probiotic 1% Probio-BaliTani), R2 (85% commercial ration + 15% fermented bakery waste probiotic 1% Probio-BaliTani), R3 (80% commercial ration + 20% fermented bakery waste probiotic 1% Probio-BaliTani) and R4 (75% commercial ration + 25% fermented bakery waste probiotic 1% Probio-BaliTani). The observed variables were the percentage of heart, liver, pancreas, lymph, proventriculus, ventriculus, gallbladder, small intestine, cecum and large intestine. The results showed no significant effect (P>0.05) on the percentage of heart, liver, pancreas, lymph, proventriculus, ventriculus, bile, small intestine, cecum and colon. The conclusion of this study is the use of probiotic fermented bakery waste Probio-BaliTani up to 25% gives results that are not significantly different from the control on the percentage of internal organs of broilers so it is safe to use in poultry rations.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding Duckweed fermented by Saccharomyces cerevisiae in commercial ration on broiler digestibility. The research design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four treatments and four replications, each replication containing four broilers. The treatment given is feed without additive duckweed fermented (P0/kontrol); feed with 5% duckweed fermented (P1); feed with 10% duckweed fermented (P2) and feed with an 15%duckweed fermented (P3). The variables observed were dry matter digestibility, organic matter, crude protein and crude fiber digestibility. The results showed that broilers were given duckweed fermented by Saccharomyces cerevisiae at a rate on 5%, 10% and 15% showed decreased digestibility of dry matter, organic matter, crude protein and crude fiber. So that it can be concluded the adding of duckweed fermented by Saccharomyces cerevisiae at a rate on 15% reduced the digestibility of dry matter, organic matter crude protein and crude fiber in broilers.

Abstract

The research has been conducted which aims to analisys the effect of fermented rice bran to pig performance.Completly Randomize Design with 4 treatments and 4 replicates were used in this research. Treatment A: pig givenration containing rice bran without fermentation, treatment B: pig given ration containing 25% fermented rice bran,treatment C: pig given ration containing 50% fermented rice bran, and treatment D: pig given ration containing100% fermented rice bran. Observed variabels are: feed consumption, average daily gain, feed convertion ratio,digestability of nutrient dan digestible energy (DE). Results of this study concluded the used of fermented rice branincreased of growth and feed efficiency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh penggunaan pollard terfermentasi oleh ragi tape terhadap produksi telur ayam Lohmann Brown umur 42-50 minggu. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan enam kali ulangan dan setiap ulangan menggunakan dua ekor ayam Lohman Brown umur 42 minggu. Ransum yang digunakan selama penelitian mengandung protein kasar 17% dan energi metabolis 2750 kkal/kg. Ransum tanpa pollard (A) sebagai ransum kontrol, ransum dengan penggunaan 15% pollard (B), dan ransum dengan 15% pollard terfermentasi oleh ragi (C). Ransum dan air minum diberikan ad libitum. Variabel yang diamati, yaitu konsumsi ransum, berat telur total, berat telur rata-rata, jumlah telur, tebal kulit telur, berat jenis, warna kuning telur, efisiensi penggunaan ransum, dan kadar kolesterol telur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan 15% pollard terfermentasi oleh ragi (perlakuan C) ternyata tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, berat telur, hen-day production, warna kuning telur, dan FCR dibandingkan dengan kontrol. Sebaliknya, secara nyata (P<0,05) menurunkan kadar kolesterol telur ayam. Penggunaan 15% pollard ternyata secara nyata (P<0,05) meningkatkan konsumsi ransum. Akan tetapi secara nyata (P<0,05) menurunkan efisiensi penggunaan ransum, hen-day production, dan tebal kulit telur dibandingkan dengan kontrol. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan 15% pollard dalam ransum ternyata menurunkan produksi telur, dan sebaliknya setelah mengalami fermentasi oleh ragi tape nyata memberikan hasil yang sama dengan kontrol serta mampu menurunkan kadar kolesterol telur ayam Lohmann Brown umur 42-50 minggu.
