Abstract

The construction of the Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) 150 kV Pecatu is planned by PT. PLN (Persero) to get electricity needs in the area of Pecatu, Badung Regency, Bali Province. The Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) 150 kV Pecatu is located in a hilly area with a texture of limestone rocky soil and the resulting soil type resistance is ? = 263.76 ohm-meter. The results of calculations for the type of earthing system Plates earth resistance value of 0.95 ohms at a cost of Rp. 4,196,000,000, - (Four Billion One Hundred Ninety Six Million Rupiah), for the type of Mesh earthing system no results are obtained <1 ohm and for the Multi Grid-Rod earthing system type the grounding resistance value is 0.876 ohms at a cost of Rp 3,753,120,000, - (Three Billion Seven Hundred Fifty Three Million One Hundred Twenty Thousand Rupiah). The type of earthing system recommended is a Multi Grid-Rod earthing system with a distance between parallel conductors (D) of 1 meter, depth of conductor planting as deep as 4 meters above the ground surface, Rod electrode diameter of 0.015 meters, Rod electrode length of 4 meters and total conductor length of 12500 meters.

Abstract

Pemecutan Kelod Substation operated with four conductors, three transformers, one capacitor and one coupling with double busbar configuration, side by side with the Kapal and Pesanggaran substation to maintain electricity supply in Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Denpasar City and surrounding areas. Due to increase in load in Denpasar area, PT PLN (Persero) Trans-JBJT added one transformer to improve the reliability of electricity in this substation, so Pemecutan Kelod substation operated with four transformers. To optimize the continuity of the power flow, it is necessary to analyse the relay settings on the busbar current and the appropriate protection settings as a protection system reference. In this study, the calculation of resistor stability (Rstab) of input current and output current after and before the addition of the transformer is carried out. The results of the calculation of resistor stability (Rstab) before the addition of the transformer is obtained with a total of 5.12 ?, the input current is 1030 A and the output current is 1010 A with losses of 1.9%. While the results of the calculation of resistor stability (Rstab) after the addition of the transformer is obtained with a total of 5.64 ?, the input current is 1070 A and the output current is 1060 A with losses of 0.9%. Those losses values complied with the SPLN No.1: 1987 standard for the 150 kV system.

Abstract

Distributed Generation (DG) is a small-scale power plant located close to the center of load. Goa Lawah feeder is a broadcast that is close to the potential of DG namely the Mini Hydro Power Plant on the Unda River in Klungkung Regency. In this research the optimization of Distributed Generation placement to Goa Lawah feeder. Optimization of Distributed Generation placement aims to reduce the value of loss of power that exist in the feeder Goa Lawah. The results of the research obtained at the point of bus 123 by Distributed Generation placement using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method, with power loss 41 kW (44%). The initial loss before the Distributed Generation interconnection of 72 kW after the Distributed Generation interconnection to 31 kW.

Abstract

Seiring dengan pertumbuhan beban yang semakin meningkat di Gardu Induk Gianyar maka transformator tenaga dengan kapasitas 30 MVA akan diganti dengan transformator yang berkapasitas 60 MVA untuk meningkatkan kontinyunitas aliran daya kepada konsumen melalui penyulang-penyulang. Pada uprating transformator yang sudah dilakukan, terjadi perubahan arus nominal pada sisi primer dengan nilai 230,94 A dan sisi sekunder 1.732 A, arus hubung singkat 3 phasa pada tegangan 150/20 kV dengan nilai 1.535 A dan 6.488 A dan arus hubung singkat 2 phasa pada tegangan 150/20 kV dengan nilai 749,148 A dan 1,329 A. Sedangkan nilai setting waktu di OCR pada sisi sekunder mendapatkan nilai 0,786 detik, pada sisi penyulang didapatkan hasil 0,37 detik dan pada sisi kopel dengan nilai setting 0,499 detik. Sedangkan nilai dari arus hubung singkat 1 phasa pada pengaman GFR 288,675 A dan nilai setting waktu pada sisi sekunder 2,083 detik dan pada sisi kopel sebesar 1,601 detik. Hasil grafik pada transformator 30 MVA dan 60 MVA mempunyai koordinasi setting pengaman yang baik karena tidak ada persilangan antara penyulang, kopel, sekunder, primer 150 kV. Pada grafik koordinasi setting relay OCR tersebut, yang menyebabkan koordinasi berjalan sempurna dengan nilai arus gangguan pada sisi sekunder 20 kV sebesar 5650 A dan 6720 A yang membutuhkan waktu untuk menangani gangguan 1,3 detik dan 1,2 detik dan nilai arus gangguan 2980 A dan 2310 A membutuhkan waktu untuk mengamankan gangguan 1,3 detik dan 1,7 detik.

Abstract

The use of air conditioners (AC) and lighting that do not suit the needs and excessive results in a lack of comfort and high use of electrical energy. Ultrasonic Sensor of SRF-04 functions to find out the number of people in the room, temperature sensor of DHT 22 functions to calculate the temperature and humidity inside and outside the room, Light Intensity sensor of GY-302 functions to read the level of light intensity in the room and micro controller of Arduino Mega 2560 functions to process all input sensors become the command for operating the AC units and lights. The AC and lighting control system working well and can determine the time and number of AC and light that is needed. Those are based by Indonesian room comfort standards so that it can increase the comfort of the room in terms of cooling systems and room lighting with a temperature of 22oC to 25 oC and light intensity of 300 lux.

Abstract

Energy demand in Indonesia is increasing, especially in the realization of electricityconsumption which reached 20.18 TWh in July 2020. In fulfilling energy, Indonesia is stillsupported by fossil energy. Indonesia's fossil energy reserves continue to decline, so it isnecessary to increase the non-fossil energy, one of which is wind energy. Wind exhaust fanoutput is waste energy that has the potential to be developed as a micro-scale wind powerplant. The Design and Construction of the Exhaust Fan Wind Energy Harvesting System withthe Effect of the Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine Distance (HAWT) of the Exhaust Fan Blade hasbeen done, the test of this study determine the optimal output power of the generator byconsidering the exhaust fan performance. The test results show that the closest distance of 10cm produces maximum wind speed and power, but the optimal placement distance for theturbine designed is 20 cm with an output power of 1.50 Watt and an increase in exhaust fanconsumption power of 0.38, with the power that can be harvested is 1.50-0.38 = 1.12 Watt,greater than the other test distances.

Abstract

Regional Secretariat Building Denpasar in 2017 experienced a separation in two parts.The separation resulted in the empty room, even though are empty room turned out toconsumption building power in 2018 continued to experience enchancement. The study hasbeen done there is the room that has the intensity of energy consumption which do not comptywith SNI. Solutions that can be given is to replace the type of split standard air conditioner (AC)into a type of low watt air conditioner (AC). Replacement type split standard air conditioner (AC)1,5 PK became type of low watt air conditioner (AC) 1,5 PK can make saving of up 11,62 % orRp 21.068.468,00. Saving electric energy consumption on lighting system can be done byinstalling an automatic switch with time or by using an a light sensor system.

Abstract

The development of Pesanggaran Conventional Substation into the Pesanggaran GasInsulated Switchgear (GIS) as a form of increasing the reliability of the electric power system inBali which led to changes in the protection system configuration on the transmission lineconnecting the GIS Pesanggaran and Nusa Dua Substation. The distance relay that waspreviously functioning as a primary protection was changed to backup protection due to the lackof selectivity of the distance relay in isolate the disruption and as the backup protection if themain protection experiencing a failure. Simulation testing using power system analysis softwareafter determining the value of the distance relay setting and tested with short circuit at 110%and 180% of the transmission line length shows the distance relay has worked according to theP3B JB regulation No. 211/151/P3B/2010 and distance relay can detect disruption in zone 2with a delay time of 0,815 seconds and detect disruption in zone 3 with a delay time of 1,615seconds.

Abstract

Renewable energy is energy that comes from natural processes that will not be exhausted and sustainable if managed properly. In its use, to maintain the continuity of the availability of electrical energy maximally, it is necessary to combine several types of power plants that are connected to the grid or better known as hybrid grid connected power systems. This research took place at Villa Peruna Saba, Gianyar - Bali which uses a hybrid grid connected power system that combines photovoltaics and generators connected to the grid utilty in supplying electricity loads. The analysis is carried out on the characteristics of the average load, the contribution of each electric power source and the workings of the hybrid grid connected hybrid power plant system. From the analysis, it is known that the contribution of power derived from solar power plants is 561.27 kW or 22.41% in April 2018 and 510.72 kW or 20.71% in May 2018.

Abstract

Solar photovoltaic is one solution to provide green and sustainable electricity. Currently, most of PV application requires inverter as the electrical appliances are mostly powered by AC voltage. The inverter is the most complex components in a solar PV system as it contains complex electronic circuitry and also expensive. One solution to eliminate the use of an inverter is DC house in which power is distributed in DC voltage. For the urban consumer, which uses a wide range of electrical appliances, DC house requires the availability of DC powered electrical appliances. However, information about the availability of DC powered equipment is still limited. This paper reviews the availability of DC powered electrical appliances to get insight into the current status of this device. This study conducted an online survey targetting popular e-commerce which sells electrical appliances. The study showed that almost all electrical equipment commonly installed in the urban house of Indonesia are now available as DC powered appliances.
