Abstract

Cigarettes are packaged processed tobacco products, produced from the Nicotiana Tabacum, Nicotiana Rustica plants and other species or synthetics that contain nicotine with or without additives. Smoking is known to the public as one of the causes of death in the world that is quite large such as asthma, lung infections, oral cancer, throat cancer, lung cancer, heart attacks, strokes, dementia, erectile dysfunction (impotence), and so on. This research aims to build an application that can recognize cigarettes automatically and conceal pictures so that people especially minors are not affected by cigarettes. The application is built using the Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (R-CNN) method. The study uses images that have cigarette objects in them. The test is carried out to find out the application performance such as the level of application accuracy in recognizing cigarette objects. Based on the test results with a sample of 126 cigarette images, the application built is able to recognize cigarette objects by obtaining an accuracy value of 63%.

Abstract

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system showed the use of Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform (IDFT) to perform the baseband modulation and demodulation. So that, it can increase and improve the efficiency of the modulation and demodulation. Currently, the OFDM is being utilized in the field of broadband wireless communication, which transmit signals orthogonally, that increases speed of information transmission. It also has high proficiency with high bandwidth and provide large data rates and robust against the multipath delay spread. On the other hand, there are some issues faced OFDM system which are high Peak Average Power Ratio (PAPR), and sensitive to Phase Noise (PN) and Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO). This paper presents Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) performance evaluation in the presence of CFO with two different environment scenarios were used: an AWGN channel and a Rayleigh fading channel. The simulation was performed to evaluate the effects of CFO based on Bit Error Rate (BER) vs. Energy Bit per Noise Ratio (Eb/No). The results showed that for BER degradation caused by CFO effects have presented in our simulation for both AWGN and Rayleigh fading channel.

Abstract

In Indonesia, coronary heart disease continues to grow. However, the efforts to prevention it can still be done by diagnosing the initial symptoms caused by using an expert system. This study was designed to build an expert system application to diagnose early coronary disease by random forest methods. The application interface was built using the PHP programming language using framework bootstrap, and uses the python programming language to build a random forest. To make an early diagnosis of coronary heart disease, a decision tree was built by training data from the UCI Dataset Machine Learning Repository using the random forest method. Followed by patient classification data that has been collected through 13 questions to get the diagnosis. The diagnosis results were normal, stadium 1, stadium 2, stadium 3 and stadium 4. Based on the tests that had been carried out, the application was able to provide results in accordance with the sample data collected using a confusion matrix resulting in an accuracy of 92.25% +/- 0.62 with 70% precision, remember 46%, which obtained a score of f0,5 72%.

Abstract

Public street lighting is part of a complementary road that serves to illuminate streets at night. Public street lighting lamps are generally operated throughout the night until early morning continuously without equipped tools that monitor conditions. The non-functioning of public street lighting is often not known by officers. In this study, a microcontroller-based damage monitoring tools was built with an SMS-based notification service. This tool is suitable to be implemented to monitor the state of public street lighting because it can monitor the state of lights during the day, lights go out and dim at night, and also can check the state of the lights by sending commands via SMS service. By sending the "CEK LPJU" command via SMS, the monitoring tool will give a reply regarding the state of the public street lighting. In addition, the monitoring tool will automatically send SMS regarding disturbances that occur in public street lighting. Keywords: public street lighting, SMS, microcontroller

Abstract

Markerless Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology that combines two-dimensional or three-dimensional virtual objects into a real environment and then projects these virtual objects in real time without the need for a special marker. In this research, the Markerless AR application will be used to simulate room decoration with 3-dimensional objects. This research was built using the Java programming language and using supporting applications namely Android Studio and Wikitude library. Based on the results of testing with the Black-box method, the overall functionality of the application has run well, besides testing also uses the System Usability Scale (SUS) method by giving questionnaires to 20 application users. The results of the System Usability Scale (SUS) test obtained an average score of 73.13. In grouping the SUS percentile score, the value of 73.13 is in Class C, wherein this assessment the application is acceptable and can be used easily by the user.

Abstract

The culture of giving fairy tales to children has an important role in the development oftheir thinking patterns. This culture is starting to be abandoned and wants to be preserved againby the Bali Storytelling community. The community regularly holds or fills an event withstorytelling activities. This study designs and builds an android-based mobile application for thestorytelling community in managing community information such as managing information onstorytelling activities, managing activity participants, managing fairy tale content, recruitingcommunity members, and managing collaboration invitations aimed at the storytellingcommunity. The application is built with the Flutter framework as the application frontend andthe Laravel framework as a REST API which acts as an intermediary for data flow betweenapplication and database. The results of the black box test show that the application can run allfunctionality well and the results of the System Usability Scale test, the application gets a scoreof 73,375 which indicates the application is classified as good and can be accepted by the user.

Abstract

Lecturer Management Information System (SIM Dosen) Udayana University is a management information system to assist lecturers in improving performance in providing higher quality education. SIM Dosen was designed using a monolithic architecture will switch to a microservice architecture that is more flexible because it breaks down several applications into several services. Communication between services is carried out through the HTTP protocol using a RESTful API. This research focuses on the success of designing a RESTful API on one of the modules on the SIM Dosen which is “data dosen” module. RESTful API was successfully designed using the Java programming language and MySQL database. Testing the RESTful API functionality using the black box testing method and Postman on local device for GET, PUT, and DELETE method display a 200 response code and OK status, and for POST method display a 201 response code and Created status which indicate all the functions of each HTTP method used in “data dosen” module have been running according to their functions.

Abstract

COVID-19 or Corona Virus Diseases is a virus that spreads throughout the world and causes a pandemic that affects social life, education and tourism, especially in Indonesia. The government has implemented various policies to reduce the rate of cases in Indonesia. In determining policies and regulations, the role of data is very important, especially in Indonesia, but the existence of data is still small and has not been labeled. In this study, the method used to label COVID-19 data in Indonesia is using K-Means Clustering. K-means is a data processing method that produces a group that is divided into 16,936 data. Determination of the number of groups in this study using the Elbow method and optimized by the Davies Bouldin Index method. The result of this study is the number of clusters used as labeling of COVID-19 data in Indonesia. The number of clusters was obtained using the Elbow method and optimized with the Davies Bouldin Index so as to produce a total of 4 clusters and the results of the labeling obtained the number of members in each cluster which amounted to 15315 in cluster 0, 1191 in cluster 1, 222 in cluster 2 and 208 in cluster 3.

Abstract

Penyakit infeksi tropik merupakan penyakit yang harus diwaspadai oleh masyarakat karena penyakit tersebut dapat terjadi di negara Indonesia. Hal terburuk yang dapat diakibatkan oleh penyakit infeksi tropik adalah kematian. Namun hal tersebut dapat dihindari apabila penyakit tersebut dapat diketahui lebih awal dan mendapat penanganan yang tepat. Untuk mempermudah masyarakat dalam mendapatkan informasi tentang penyakit infeksi tropik, pada penelitian ini sebuah aplikasi sistem pakar berbasis mobile Android untuk menentukan diagnosa awal penyakit infeksi tropik akan dibangun. Aplikasi sistem pakar ini akan menggunakan metode Naive Bayes dan metode Forward Chaining dalam menentukan sebuah kesimpulan. Proses dari aplikasi ini yaitu menerima masukan berupa gejala – gejala yang diderita oleh user. Hasil dari aplikasi yaitu dapat memberikan diagnosa awal dan informasi mengenai penyakit infeksi tropik diantaranya demam tifoid, demam berdarah dengue, tuberculosis, malaria, dan campak. Berdasarkan pengujian System Usability Scale mengatakan bahwa responden memberikan penilaian diatas rata-rata terhadap aplikasi ini, yaitu sebesar 73,875% serta pengujian performa aplikasi menggunakan metode matrix confusion untuk keakurasian hasil mendapatkan nilai 76,74%.

Abstract

Pet owners rely on veterinary clinics to meet the healthcare needs of their pets, and yet, many veterinary clinics still manage data using conventional methods without fully utilizing digital information systems. This leads to issues such as repetitive registration, difficulties in obtaining copies of medical records, and challenges in finding nearby veterinary clinics. This research aims to address these problems by designing and developing a mobile web application for a veterinary clinic marketplace. The application consists of two main components. The front-end utilizes the React.js library based on Progressive Web Apps (PWA), while the back-end utilizes the Express.js framework. To ensure the overall functionality of the application, black box testing is conducted by the developer. Through this approach, the application is expected to assist pet owners in searching for and accessing information about veterinary clinics, viewing the services provided, and managing pet medical records digitally and easily. This research contributes to optimizing data management in veterinary clinics and enhancing the experience of pet owners.
