Abstract

 Artificial Intelligence-based shoe oven design has been carried out to provide an even heating process for leather shoes so that the shoe bends are perfect. The process of making leather shoes is carried out in several stages, namely designing an oven using solid work software, collecting quality tools and materials, making shoe ovens, making Arduino programs and Artificial Intelligence applications using MIT App Inventor, and testing. The shoe oven has two main chambers, namely the combustion chamber and the shoe heating chamber. The shoe oven works with the help of an Artificial Intelligence application that can monitor and control the oven with a maximum distance of 5 meters through the monitoring mode and the input set setting mode. The shoe oven is set to a temperature of (50-55)oC with a heating time of (30-60) minutes and has the ability to withstand constant heat for 45 minutes to dry the leather and perfect the curve of the shoe with the help of Arduino. Artificial Intelligence-based shoe ovens can improve shoe quality in a faster and controlled time.

Abstract

The manufacture of pineapple leaf fiber decorticator machines has been made in the village of Onan Runggu III, Sipahutar District, North Tapanuli Regency. Machine making aims to help pineapple farmers to overcome the problem of waste and pineapple. The method used starts from feasibility studies, designing machines, collecting and purchasing tools and materials, evaluating results and testing tools. Results obtained by the pineapple leaf fiber decorticator machine 0,12 kg/hour obtained through two stages of grinding namely grinder 1 and grinder 2. The final results obtained from the decorticator machine of pineapple leaf fiber are pineapple leaf fibers that can be used to make raw materials for textile products.

Abstract

Krokot adalah salah satu tanaman gulma yang dapat mengganggu pertumbuhan tanaman lainnya. Banyak masyarakat yang belum mengetahui manfaat krokot sehingga pemanfaatan krokot belum maksimal. Salah satu manfat krokot yang biasa digunakan masyarakat tradisional adalah untuk mengurangi kerontokan dan menyuburkan rambut. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui manfaat krokot sebagai hair tonic, menentukan nilai pH yang sesuai dalam percampuran formula hair tonic dengan ekstrak krokot, mengetahui jumlah mikrobiologi pada hair tonic, melihat pertumbuhan rambut pada kulit punggung kelinci serta rekasi hair tonic terhadap kulit punggung kelinci dan mengetahui perubahan bentuk, warna dan bau pada hair tonic. Metode penelitian dilaksakan menjadi dua bagian yaitu tahap pembuatan dan pengujian. Pada tahap pembuatan terdiri dari pengambilan sampel krokot kemudian dikeringkan dengan suhu ruangan, pembentukan serbuk dengan blender, maserasi serbuk krokot dan pemekatan dengan rotary evaporator untuk mendapatkan ekstrak krokot. Tahap pengujian hair tonic ekstrak krokot meliputi uji mikrobiologi, uji pH, uji aktivitas, uji iritas dan uji organoleptik Hasil penelitian diperoleh uji mikrobiologi diperoleh angka lempeng total 2,3 101 koloni/ml, Staphiloccocus aureus 0 koloni/ml (negatif), Pseudomonas aeruginosa 0 koloni/ml (negatif), dan Candida albicans 0 koloni/ml (negatif). Berdasarkan hasil uji dapat disimpulkan bahwa hair tonic yang dihasilkan telah memiliki mikrobiologi dengan kadar yang aman, pH tidak terlalu asam, mampu memanjangkan dan menambah bobot rambut, tidak menimbulkan iritasi serta aroma dan warna cukup disukai responden.

Abstract

AbstrakDesa Harean adalah salah satu desa di kecamatan Porsea yang berada di pinggiran Danau Toba. Mata pencaharian masyarakat sebagian besar bertani padi dan budidaya ikan mas. Budidaya ikan mas membutuhkan pakan berupa pelet yang dibeli di pasar sedangkan hasil bertani padi setiap tahun menghasilkan limbah jerami yang dapat di manfaatkan menjadi pelet. Tujuan dari kegiatan PKM-T membantu mitra membuat pelet ikan mas dari limbah jerami padi dan mendesain mesin dwi fungsi untuk membantu pengolahan pembuatan pelet. Metode yang digunakan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu sosialisasi, pendampingan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Sosialisasi dilakukan dengan menyampaikan pengetahuan mengenai manfaat dari limbah jerami yang dapat di jadikan pakan ikan mas. Pendampingan pembuatan pelet ikan mas dari jerami dilakukan dengan cara memfermentasi jerami dengan larutan Molase dan EM 4 selama 21 hari, kemudian menghaluskan jerami dan mencampurkan dengan dedak, keong mas dan tepung ikan dengan menggunakan mesin dwi fungsi untuk penggilingan dan pencetakan pelet. Hasil monitoring dan evaluasi mitra mampu membuat pelet ikan mas sebagai pengganti pakan ikan yang di beli di pasaran dengan menggunakan mesin dwi fungsi.Kata Kunci : Harean, Ikan mas, Jerami padi, PeletAbstractHarean is one of the villages in Porsea regency on the outskirts of Lake Toba. The livelihood of the community is mostly rice farming and goldfish cultivation. Goldfish farming requires feed in the form of pellets purchased in the market while the yield of rice farming every year produces straw waste which can be used as pellets. The purpose of PKM-T activities was to help partners making goldfish pellets from rice straw waste and design bi-function machines to assist pellet-making processing. The method used through several stages, namely socialization, mentoring, monitoring and evaluation. The socialization was carried out by conveying knowledge about the benefits of straw waste which could be made into goldfish feed. Assistance for making pellets from straw was carried out by fermenting straw with Molasses and EM 4 solution for 21 days, then smoothing the straw and mixing it with bran, golden snails and fish powder using a dual function machine for milling and printing. The results of the monitoring and evaluation of partners were able to make carp pellets as a substitute for fish feed purchased on the market using dual function machines.Keywords: Harean, Goldfish, Rice straw, Pellet

Abstract

Telah dilakukan Ipteks bagi Masyarakat (IbM) di Lubuk Pakam yang bertujuan terbentuknya kelompok tani professional ikan hias yang menghasilkan  bibit dan ikan hias dengan kuantitas memadai serta memiliki kualitas yang tinggi. Metode yang digunakan adalah melalui metode pelatihan (workshop). Workshop dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap yakni:  (a). penyuluhan dan pelatihan usaha tani budidaya ikan hias; (b) pelatihan pembuatan pembukuan pemeliharaan ikan hias dan (c) budidaya ikan hias oleh kelompok tani dengan pembuatan kolam. Hasil yang diperoleh dengan diadakannya penyuluhan dan pelatihan serta pembudidayaan ikan hias, kelompok tani menjadi lebih terlatih dalam budidaya ikan hias dan selektif dalam memenejemenkan keuangan.  Budidaya ikan hias yang dilakukan dengan penambahan kolam diperoleh hasil panen ikan hias dengan  warna yang lebih cerah dan tingkat kematian yang rendah. Hasil panen dengan di masukan bibit 290.000 ekor terdiri dari 1500 ekor ikan koi dan 1400 ekor ikan koki diperoleh tingkat kehidupan ikan koi 90 % dan ikan koki 80 % dengan kualitas A,B dan C sisanya kurang berkualitas (BS). Hasil kualitas A sekitar 10 %, B 20 % dan C 20%.

Abstract

Abstrak Danau Toba adalah danau terbesar di Asia Tenggara. Bapak Presiden Republik Indonesia menggalangkan Danau Toba menjadi Monaco Asia, namun keindahan Danau Toba berkurang disebabkan pertumbuhan eceng gondok yang tinggi. Tujuan dari PKM – M membantu masyarakat untuk mengolah eceng gondok yang ada di Danau Toba menjadi pupuk organik yang berguna bagi masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Pengetahuan masyarakat tentang eceng gondok berubah, sehingga masyarakat tahu cara pembuatan pupuk organik eceng gondok yang dapat membantu pertanian dan membantu perekonomian masyarakat. Hasil training eceng gondok yang telah dilakukan, eceng gondok yang melimpah di Danau Toba dapat dijadikan menjadi pupuk organik yang berguna bagi masyarakat serta dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat daerah. Sehingga dengan kegiatan berkelanjutan Danau Toba akan kembali bersih dan indah.Kata kunci : Pupuk organik, Enceng gondok, Pelatihan, Danau tobaAbstractLake Toba is the biggest lake in Southeast Asia. The president of the republic Indonesia has a plan to make Lake Toba as Monaco Asia. However, the beauty of Lake Toba has reduced as a result of uncontrolled growth of water hyacinth. The purpose of this PKM-M was to help the society to modify water hyacinth as fertilizer organic so that this parasite could be benefical for them. The methods that had been used were socialization, training, monitoring and evaluation. Community awareness of the water hyacinth has changed, so that they know how to produce organic fertilizers form water hyacinth that can help agriculture and economy. From the training that had been accomplished, the abundant water hyacinth can be modified as organic fertilizers which had benefical effect as well as improving the economy of local communities. So if these activities is still being done continiously, Lake Toba would be regained its beauty and cleanness.Key words: Organic fertilizers, Water hyacinth, Training, Lake toba

Abstract

Genius Learning menggunakan gaya belajar yang berdasarkan pendekatan preferensi sensori dan profil kecerdasan (multiple intellegence). Penerapan strategi Genius Learning, berangkat dengan satu keyakinan dan pengharapan bahwa apabila setiap anak didik dapat dimotivasi dengan tepat dan diajar dengan cara yang benar yang menghargai keunikanya maka semua dapat mencapai suatu hasil pembelajaran yang maksimal. Hasil yang diperoleh terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan genius learning di kelas eksprimen dengan kelas yang diajarkan konvensional di kelas kontrol pada materi pokok fisika topik listrik dinamis di kelas IX SMP Swasta Raksana Medan Tahun Pelajaran 2009/2010. Ini berarti ada pengaruh strategi genius learning di kelas eksperimen yang memberikan hasil belajar yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The objective of study to determine the effect of Guided Inquiry learning models to student learning outcomes and student’s activity in dynamic electrical topic. This type of research is quasi-experimental design of the Pretest-Posttest Design Control Group. The research was conducted at SMA Swasta Katolik Budi Murni 3 Medan in A.Y 2017/2018. The population of research was all students of class X. Sampling is done by random sampling by taking two classes randomly, namely class X-A as the control class and class X-B as the experiment class. The instrument used in the study was a test of learning outcomes and an observation sheet of student learning activities. Learning outcomes test in the form of a test essay with a number of 15 questions and before using the question validated by the validator. The study was conducted by giving measurements in the form of a pretest and then given treatment with a guided inquiry learning model and within a certain period of time and then given a posttest. The results of data analysis using the t test of one party shows that there are differences due to the influence of the guided inquiry learning model on student learning outcomes in Dynamic Electrical material. Abstract

The research aims to develop web-based interactive multimedia in Newton's law of motion material that meets valid, practical and effective requirements. The research method used is the development research method based on the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of the development research obtained a web-based interactive multimedia valid by media experts and media experts, very practical by users (teachers and students) and effective by small group students and limited groups. Web-based interactive multimedia can be used as a learning media for teachers and high school level students.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of Discovery Learning to learning outcomes students on temperature and heat material. Research  type is quasi experiment. The population in this research is all students of class X in SMA Negeri 20 Medan. The sample of the research is taken with class random sampling technique. In this study the measurements in the form of pretest to the subject and then treated with Discovery Learning models. The Instrument of this study was a learning result test and student activity observation sheet. The analysis result that there is a difference because effect of Discovery Learning models to learning outcomes students on temperature and heat material.
