Abstract

This research was motivated by the mathematics learning outcomes achieved by students of class VIII MTsN Batang Kapas is still below the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). The purpose of this study was to determine whether the average ability of students mathematics learning outcomes by using a Mind Mapping learning strategy type is better than the average results of students mathematics learning with conventional learning in class VIII MTsN batang Kapas.This research is a kind of experiment . The population in this study were all eighth grade students enrolled MTsN Batang Kapas in the school year 2013/2014 . whereas the sample in this study is as experimental class VIII A and VIII D as the control class . The instrument used is the achievement test . The form of an essay test that is used with a reliability of 0.81. Technique analysis achievement test prepared by t. Analyses data performed with the help of MINITAB software , obtained from the calculation of P - value = 0.009 is less than α = 0.05 . Therefore we can conclude the average mathematics achievement of students with learning strategy type using Mind Mapping is better than the average results of students mathematics learning with conventional learning in class VIII MTsN Batang Kapas 2013/2014 .

Abstract

The backgraund of the research is the comprehension of the concept is still low on mathematic on grade eight in SMP Negeri 2 Sijunjung. The aim of the research is to know whether the implementation of conceptual comprehension of Give The Money learning stategy is better than conventional. This is an experimental research, by designing random research on the subject. Technique of sampling is grade VIII1 as the experiment class and grade VIII5 as control class. The instrument of the research is final test by using conceptual comprehension and rubrik test analytical. The test is essay. Technique of analysis is t-test. Based on the result of analysis data, it is known that both samples normal and homogen up to 95% accuracy and the result of hypotesis of p-value is 0,018 and the p-value less than 0,05. So this hypotesis of this research is accepted. It can be concluded that conceptual comprehension of mathematic by using Give The Money strategy is better than by using conventional from students grade VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Sijunjung.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the lack of understanding of mathematical concepts students at SMP 18 Sijunjung, one attempt to do is to apply the technique with verbal football quiz. This study aims to determine how the development of students understanding of mathematical concepts during the learning process using the technique of verbal football with quizzes and whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying techniques accompanied verbal quiz football better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts using conventional learning. This type of research is experimental research on the subject with a random design. The population in this study were students of class VIII. Class is class VIII.A sample as the experimental class and the control class VIII.B class. Instruments used in the study were quizzes and final test and the test used is a form of essay with reliability = 0.90. Data analysis technique is to use a one-way t-test, with , so it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts using verbal techniques accompanied quiz football better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts by using conventional learning.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the students’ comprehension of math concept are still low and the student still reluctant to work well in the group. This research aims to determine the students’ comprehension of math concept that apply Two Stay Two Stray better than students’ comprehension of math concept that apply conventional learning in class VIII MTs Ibadurrahman Lolo Kabupaten Solok. The type of research is experimental by using Randomized Control Group Only Design. The data analysis technique used is T-Test one part the help of MINITAB. The result of hypothesis test obtained P-Value = 0,003 is less than α = 0,05, then the hypothesis in this research received. In conclusion, students’ comprehension of math concept that apply Two Stay Two Stray type better than students’ comprehension of math concept that apply conventional learning.

Abstract

In this research , as background of the study is low achievement of student in SMPN 1 Ranah Batahan. The purpose of study is to determine: whether are the result of using cooperative type Think Pair Share is better than using the conventional learning in the teaching process. The kind of study is experimental research. Population of the study was VIII grade of SMPN 1 Ranah Batahan especially academic years 2012/2013. The researcher chosen the sample by using random sampling technique, the samples were VIII.3 and VIII.1. In collecting data, the researcher used the instrument by giving achievement test. The test is essay form that has reliability about = 0,89. In addition, analyzing data that had been done by using t test. Based on the hypothesis testing is gotten P-value = 0,010 < . In this case, the hypothesis can be received. It can be concluded that using cooperative type of the Think Pair Share is better than using conventional learning in teaching process.

Abstract

This research based of the students’ mathematical concept comprehension is low and they do not dare to ask one question to their teacher.  The purpose of this research is to know whether the students’ mathematical concept comprehension by applying the strategy of Learning Starts With A Question is better than that using the conventional learning at the grade-IX class of SMPN 2 Ranah Batahan Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. The type of research is an experiment with design random on the subject. The testing of hypothesis is made using one side t test with an assistance of MINITAB software; it is obtained that P-value is 0,036 being smaller than α of 0,05. Thus, the proposed hypothesis is accepted. It can be concluded that the students’ mathematical concept comprehension by applying the Learning Starts with A Question strategy is better than that using the conventional learning at the grade-IX class of SMPN 2 Ranah Batahan Kabupaten Pasaman Barat.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe background of this research by understanding the concept of mathematical student in learning mathematics is still low and the lack of cooperation among students in understanding the material provided. The purpose of this study was determine whether students understanding of mathematical concept with application of cooperative learning student achievement team division (STAD) better than student understanding of mathematical concept with conventional learning. This type research is experimental  conducted with the subject randomized study design.  Instrument used in the study is the final test in the form of essays. With the realibity test 0,826. Based on the analysis of data obtained t, 4,18 ≥ 1,7127 then reject H0 with H1 received. It can be concluded that the students understanding of matematics concepts with the implementation of cooperative learning student team achievement division (STAD) better than students understanding of mathematical concepts with convensional learning on students class IX SMPN 1 Lubuk Sikaping

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the understanding of the mathematical concept of class XI students of SMAN 1 Kamang Magek are still low and students are less active in the learning process. This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing Cooperative Learning Model Type of Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts with conventional learning. This research is an experimental study. The population in this study was a class XI student of SMAN 1 Kamang Magek 2013-2014 school year. Sampling technique was randomly selected and the experimental class IPA2 XI and class control IPA1 . Instrument used in this study is the understanding of the concept in the form of a test with a reliability test essay R11 = 0.73. Hypothesis test results, obtained using a t-test p-value equal to 0.0038 which is smaller than (α) = 0:05, then the hypothesis in this study received, so it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts with the model type of cooperative learning Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) better understanding of the mathematical concepts with conventional learning students in class XI Science SMAN 1 Kamang Magek.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research background by the students’ not focus when the teacher explain a matery ability and student’s understanding of mathematical consept was low, then students lazy to note about subject when the teacher explain it. This research was designed for revealing whether the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Guided Note Taking active learning strategy assisted with a quiz was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 8 Sijunjung. This was an experimental research. Based on the result of data analysis, it was figured out that the students’ mathematics conceptual understanding kept improving from a meeting to the next one. In addition, the result of hypothesis test showed that P-value (0,005) was smaller than  = 0,05 indicating that the hypothesis was accepted on 95% of realibility. Based on the result, it was concluded tha the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Guided Note Taking active learning strategy assisted with a Quiz was better tha that of students taught by using conventional learnig.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research background by students comprehension of mathematical concepts that were still low. The students didn’t want to express their own idea, so they didn’t want to ask about the unknown concepts. This research’s purpose is to make sure that students comprehension of mathematical concepts using active learning strategy by Giving Question and Getting Answer is better than students comprehension of mathematical concepts using conventional learning for grade VIII students of SMP 28 Padang. This method of research was experiment research with random to the subject. The population research is grade VIII students of SMPN 28 Padang except class VIII.1 that was the superior class. Analysis technique used was t test one party by MINITAB and the result was P-value less than , so it can conclude that students comprehension of mathematical concepts using active learning strategi by Giving Question and Getting Answer was better than using conventional learning for grade VIII of SMPN 28 Padang.
