Abstract

Kabupaten Karangasem merupakan salah satu kabupaten di Provinsi Bali yang melaksanakan program pengelolaan terpadu padi, yang dikenal dengan nama GP-PTT. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produksi padi secara nasional untuk ketahanan pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendapatan usahatani dan untuk mengetahui persepsi petani terhadap program pengelolaan terpadu padi serta hambatan dalam penerapan program. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Bebandem, Kabupaten Karangasem, dipilih secara purposif, karena daerah ini memperoleh proporsi tertinggi dari wilayah program untuk melakukan operasi dibandingkan dengan daerah lain. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan melalui survei dan wawancara, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh melalui penelitian deskriptif dan pencarian publikasi. Uji t dengan dua sampel independen dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pendapatan petani antara petani dengan program GP-PTT dan tanpa program. Persepsi petani terhadap program dianalisis secara deskriptif secara kualitatif melalui penggunaan skor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata pendapatan petani di bawah program GP-PTT adalah Rp 14.180.962,04 per hektar per musim tanam dengan rasio R / C 2,8. Di sisi lain, pendapatan petani untuk non program adalah Rp 14.095.526,91 dengan R / C 3,23. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua pendapatan tersebut. Persepsi petani terhadap program ini tergolong meragukan dengan skor 3,24. Hambatan teknis yang dihadapi petani adalah minimnya mesin tanam untuk mengikuti sistem legowo yang disarankan. Hambatan ekonomi yang dirasakan oleh petani adalah program ini menyebabkan kenaikan biaya tenaga kerja. Hal ini juga ditemukan pada sistem tanam dimana petani menghadapi kesulitan dalam menerapkan teknologi dugaan sistem legowo sementara petani terbiasa dengan sistem tegel. Untuk menindaklanjuti program GP-PTT, disarankan kepada pemerintah untuk mendukung petani secara terus menerus sampai mereka bersedia dan mampu menerapkan teknologi yang disarankan.

Abstract

The application of Tri Hita Karana concept become an important issue to ensure the business word existence howadays. The business word will not be developed without concerning the condition and situasion of sosial business environment so that the implementation of Tri Hita Karana becoming a necessity to support the business activities for the companies. It is not just a responsibility but also aduty in the bussiness word. The implementation of Tri Hita Karana concept should become a part of business role an it belong to business policy, so that the business world is a not an organization that is oriented to ward achieving maximum profits but also becomes a learning organization, where the individues that involved have social awareness and process sense not only for the organization environment but also for the sosial environment where the business is located. The purpose of this study is to determine the continuity apotential business of organic liquid fertilizer based on the concept of Tri Hita Karana. The research was conducted to the company that is focused in aloe vera manufacturer. The research is located in Banjar Tengah, Saba village, Blahbatuh, Gianyar regency. The respondents are chosen by census method. That is all the managements and employees of PT Alove Bali. They are 21 people in total. The research is using inverse matrix analysis. Based on the result retrieved, the implementation of Tri Hita Karana in PT Alove Bali is belonging to the quite well category by achieving 38,68% score. The achieving score indicated the sustainability potential value of PT Alove Bali,that are : a). Gatra Parhyangan, PT Alove Bali didn’t have daily religious rituals possibility, b). Gatra Pawongan, PT Alove didn’t give awards for the potential employees, it took a less concern to the social activities in the village. It give a less routinity education for the employees, lack of the external human resource development activities, lack of implementation of routinity internal, meeting, lack of updating regular development information far the company. c). The lack of supplying production tools. The use of production process waste in this case, the lack of maintaining and preserving environment activities, the lack of innovation and technology in developing the products to be develop in the future. The implementation of Tri Hita Karana in PT Alove Bali could be more enharced through the sosialitation of Tri Hita Karana to be more implemented in the business activities and looking fot the solution for the problems in implementing Tri Hita Karana.

Abstract

Agriculture sector is an important sector because of this sector most of human needs met. The development of horticultural commodities is driving diversification program, extensification, intensification, and rehabilitation of agriculture which is the core of the agricultural development activities. The processing is very important to be extend the usefulness of commodity oyster mushrooms and increase the economic value of the product. This study aims to determine the constraints faced by farmers of oyster mushroom cultivators as well as manufacturers of processed oyster mushrooms products belonging to the Group of Women Farmers (KWT) Spora Bali. Respondents intentionally set, including the chairman and members of the Bali Spora Women Farmers Group, PPL, and regular consumers from Pradnyagama autism children Foundation. Internal and external factors are identified and analyzed by SWOT analysis to determine some alternative strategies accordingly. Furthermore, alternative strategies are analyzed by QSPM to determine strategic priorities. The results of the research show that based on internal analysis, oyster mushroom processing business of KWT Spora Bali is on the average position in the harness strengths and weaknesses. The main strength of KWT Spora Bali is in the product variation. The main weakness of KWT Spora Bali is the selling price of the product. Based on the analysis of the external environment, oyster mushroom processing business of KWT Spora Bali is taking advantage of the opportunities to overcome the threats faced by KWT Spora Bali. The main opportunity KWT Spora Bali is rising customer demand. As for the main threat of KWT Spora Bali is rising a production cost. SWOT Analysis discover 6 alternative strategies namely: open opportunities for cooperation with other parties associated with the distribution of products, increased sales promotion or dissemination of products information, to improve the appearance of products through improved packaging, looking for market information by using information technology, trying to maintain product quality and increase efficiency and effectiveness in marketing the product. QSPM analysis results show that the strategy is a top priority to improve the appearance of products through improved packaging for products produced. This strategy can be done by updating the design, colors, and include a brand that has been established along with the expiration date and licenses from the Ministry of Health so that the product becomes more attractive which will increase the selling price of the product and can expand the marketing area.

Abstract

The eucalyptus plant (Melaleuca leucadendron Linn) grows well without cultivation in the district of Western Seram, Western Seram Regency. Besides having utility as medicines, eucalyptus oil has high selling value, and as an export commodity. In fact, the potential of this commodity in this region has not been managed and developed optimally.  The aims of this research are to analyze profitability and the internal and external factors of eucalyptus oil agribusiness development in the District of Western Seram, and to formulate the strategy that must be done by producers of eucalyptus oil and alternative strategies for its agribusiness development. The results showed that eucalyptus oil agribusiness in the District of Western Seram                   is profitable, shown by the value of R/C is equal to 1.90. The influential factors according to the score of internal factors (IFAS) are the wide potential land, the availability of raw materials, and limited capital of the producers. While the prominent external factors (EFAS) are the availability of market, competition from Buru Island, and flammable eucalyptus forest.  The main strategy to be applied is market penetration and product development. Strategic alternatives include: (1) Expansion of market share through government policy on development of small medium enterprises; (2) Improvement of product and its quality through pest and disease control, monitoring time of fire prone, eucalyptus development based on regional sites, and establishment of institutions to deal with the competition; (3) Improvement packaging concepts through the implementation of modern technology; (4) Capital improvement through the supports from government and financial institutions; (5) Improvement of production and product prices through eradication of pests or diseases and the prevention of forest fires; and    (6) Establishment of the farmer groups as mediator between producers and processing interests including marketing institutions.

Abstract

Kelor memiliki banyak manfaat bagi kehidupan manusia diantaranya memperbaiki lahan kritis, meningkatkan hasil pertanian dan peternakan, penjernih air alami, dan sumber energi terbaru. Permintaan pasar internasional terhadap tepung kelor sangat tinggi yang dimana bahan bakunya berasal dari daun kelor. Saat ini ada satu lembaga di Bali yang mencoba melakukan pengolahan daun kelor menjadi tepung yaitu PT. Bali Agro Investama (PT. BAI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan pengolahan daun kelor menjadi tepung; (2) Menganalisis kelayakan usaha agroindustri pengolahan daun kelor menjadi tepung kelor secara finansial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada lima tahap pengolahan daun kelor menjadi tepung yaitu (1) pencucian daun kelor dengan ozonisasi, (2) penirisan daun kelor yang telah disortasi, (3) sortasi daun kelor yang rusak, (4) pengeringan daun kelor, (5) penepungan daun kelor menggunakan mesin. Analisis kelayakan usaha menggunakan kriteria investasi didapat hasil yaitu sebagai berikut (1) NPV tanpa pembiayaan bank dan NPV dengan pembiayaan bank bernilai sama yaitu sebesar Rp 628.512.833,00 (2) IRR sebesar 34,55% ketika tanpa pembiayaan bank dan jika menggunakan pembiayaan bank yaitu sebesar 41,87%. (3) Net B/C tanpa pembiayaan bank diperoleh 1,43 dan dengan pembiayaan bank sebesar 2,37. (4) Payback period tanpa pembiayaan bank selama 5,3 tahun dan dengan pembiayaan bank selama 8,8 tahun. Berdasarkan hasil analisis sesitivitas, proyek ini sensitif terhadap perubahan biaya operasional dan perubahan penerimaan.

Abstract

The demand for oyster mushroom in Denpasar today is quite high, but it cannot be fulfilled yet. Management of information, products, and financial flow in a supply chain is needed to meet the consumer demand of this product. This study aims to determine the mechanism and performance of oyster mushrooms supply chain in Denpasar. Respondents in this sudy were chosen purposively including baglog suppliers and farmers, mean while of respondents marketing agencies were selected using snowball sampling. Data obtained were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and marketing efficiency. Research results show that the oyster mushroom supply chain involving baglog suppliers, farmers, sub-district traders, retailers, processing traders and end consumers of processed has operated quite well. The flows including in the supply chain are product, financial, and information. Performance measurement results show that the most commonly marketing channel of fresh oyster occurs is involvement of farmers - retailer - consumer. This marketing channel is more efficient compared to other marketing channels. Based on the marketing margin analysis, it shows the  marketing margin of Rp 5,857, farmer' share at 76 percent, and the ratio of profit to the marketing cost is 6.58.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Consumer awareness on food safety and organic product consumption has open up an opportunity for producers of organic products. The Somya Pertiwi Farmer Group is one of the organic rice cultivator that has been certified by LeSos. The purpose of this study is to analyze the flow of actors, products, financial, and information, as well as the distribution of value added in the value chain of organic rice agribusiness produce by Somya Pertiwi. This research was conducted along the value chain using forward and backward approach from the focus point of the research which is the Somya Pertiwi Farmer Group. The research shows that the actors’ flow devided by main and supporting actors. The product flows from upstream to downstream shows the transformation of 43,900 kg of dried organic red rice grain become 20,852 kg of organic red rice and 76,700 kg of dry organic white rice grain become 36,432 kg of organic white rice. The flow of information moves both from upstream, downstream, as well as from supporting institutions such as the Somya Pertiwi Farmer Group, LeSos, and also the Internal Control System. The most balanced value-added distribution is in the organic red rice value chain through UD Sari Bulan Utama with 41%-46% added value at the farmer level, 20%-23% at the processing unit, 19%-22% at the wholesaler level, and 9%-19% at the reseller level. Increase in the percentage of sales at the farmer level to increase farmers’ income. Processing unit can increase organic white rice value added by increasing the retail price. Government need to establish supervision at the wholesaler and retailer level.

Abstract

Bali tourism development together with consumer awareness on health is an opportunity for organic products producers. In order to take this opportunity, Subak Wongayabetan needs a strategy to develop agribusiness development of organic brown rice. The objective of this research is to investigate alternative strategies and priorities to the strategies run by the Subak Wongayabetan in managing organic brown rice agribusiness development. Respondents in this research were selected purposively regarding their expertise and knowledge of the research. Primary data were collected by conducting focus group discussions, surveys, and in-depth interviews. Secondary data were collected from publications. Formulation of alternative and priority strategies was using SWOT analysis and QSPM. The results show that alternative strategies of agribusiness development for organic brown rice include: 1) increasing productivity of organic brown rice, 2) improving the skills of processing organic fertilizers and pesticides, 3) developing subak as agrotourism, 4) cooperate with Village Unit Enterprises , 5) expansion of wetland organic field, 6) training of farming book-keeping , 7) intensifying the use of packaging and branding, 8) labor recruitment from outside the region, 9) intensifying integrated pest and disease , 10) socialization of organic products to consumers, 11) intensification of Internal Control System (ICS), and 12) database improvement and Management Information System to support the sustainability of organic certification. The most priority strategy in this research shows that ICS intensification is selected.. In supporting the development of agribusiness organic brown rice, members of Subak Wongayabetan are suggested to do book-keeping of their farming costs and returns, more intensive socialization to the benefits of organic farming, and creating more innovative actions through packaging and branding use to increase the products value.

Abstract

One of the trendy and healthy lifestyle that developed in the community at this time is to go back to nature by consuming organic vegetable products. There are several factors that influence consumer purchasing decisions a product. These factors are the marketing mix consists of product, price, promotion and location as well as psychological consisting of motivation, perception, learning, and the manner in which both factors are external and internal elements. Based on the above explanation, this study aimed to analyze the influence of the marketing  and psychological factors   in organic vegetable purchasing decisions. The research was conducted in CV Golden Leaf Farm Bali as a basic research study place located in the Gobleg village , Banjar district, Buleleng regency, Bali province and at the Supermarket to capture respondents surveyed. The sampling method used was purposive sampling. Number of samples taken by 200 respondents who have ever purchased a minimum of 5 times. Techniques of data collection by means of documentation and interviews. And techniques of data analysis with the help of the program is Visual PLS Version 1.04b1. From these results it can be concluded that in terms of the internal aspects of the psychological factors that consists of motivation, learning, and influence positive attitudes and highly significant organic vegetable purchasing decisions CV Golden Leaf Farm Bali , but the perception, promotion and location does not significantly affect the buying decision of organic vegetables CV Golden Leaf Farm Bali . Considering the promotion of a positive effect it is recommended to CV Golden Leaf Farm Bali to be more active promotion through print media, electronic media, and other media to create a brand image to customers and prospective customers, so the price is not to be sensitive. Similarly, the location, given the location of the positive effect it is recommended to CV Golden Leaf Farm Bali to pay more attention to the existence of the location.

Abstract

Demand for catfish consumption generally in Bali and especially in Denpasar is very high, therefore it must be brought from outside the island. The catfish farmers in Bali are still very short of catfish hatchery, where most of them are still brought from outside the island, especially from Java. This study aims to find out business feasibility for short term and long term horizon, as well as the competitive value of producing breeding catfish compared to buying them from Java. Location of the study was chosen by using purposive sampling method at UPR Mina Dalem Sari which is located in Peguyangan Kaja Denpasar. Methods of data collection were interviews, observation and documentation. The number of samples taken was using census of all 10 members of the group. Data were analyzed using analysis of the feasibility of short-term and long-term, as well as analysis of break even point. The results of the analysis for short-term investments show stable cash flow and gross margins were positive which indicates that the business is feasible to be run. Analysis of long-term business also shows that catfish hatchery in Denpasar is feasible to develop. It can be seen from the payback period on the fifth year  and first month, NPV shows the positive value of Rp 237,800,470 and the IRR is 32.57%. With an average of 2,700,000 catfish hatchery production per year, this business is very profitable compared to inter-island trading from outside the island. This is indicated by the results of the break-even point of 373,911 hatchery / year. Catfish hatchery in Denpasar needs to be improved by doing more socialization to the society in order to maintain the market demands, and open employment. It is suggested to build the form of group
