Abstract

Orang dengan gangguan jiwa berisiko mengalami kekambuhan. Pemulihan psikososial orang dengan gangguan jiwa perlu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dan komprehensif. Perawat di Puskesmas di Surabaya belum semuanya memahami pemulihan psikososial orang dengan gangguan jiwa di komunitas. Tujuan dilakukan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan perawat puskesmas Surabaya tentang pemulihan psikososial orang dengan gangguan jiwa di komunitas. Hasil kegiatan pengmas ini adalah peningkatan pengetahuan perawat puskesmas tentang pemulihan psikososial orang dengan gangguan jiwa di komunitas. Rerata skor pre test adalah 5.01 dan post-test adalah 7.51. Sesudah diberikan pelatihan pemulihan psikososial, mayoritas responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik (65,9%). Partisipasi dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman perawat tentang proses pemulihan psikososial pada individu dengan gangguan mental. Pengalaman ini memberikan wawasan berharga tentang tantangan yang dihadapi oleh populasi ini, sehingga memungkinkan perawat untuk lebih mendukung dan mengadvokasi strategi pemulihan yang efektif dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

Diabetes Melitus (DM) memerlukan pemahaman secara komprehensif dan konsisten dalam untuk menghindari komplikasi penyakit. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan Peer Health Coaching dalam upaya meningkatkan pengetahuan pada kader, keluarga dan pasien DM. PKM ini menggunakan pendekatan Community Based Research (CBR) dilakukan edukasi dan pelatihan dengan menerapkan peer health coaching di Kalidami, Kelurahan Mojo, Kecamatan Gubeng, Surabaya, Jawa Timur. Evaluasi PKM dengan membandingkan pengetahuan tentang penatalaksanaan DM dari Kuesioner DKQ-24 (Diabetes Knowledge Questionnaire). Peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan ini sebanyak 32 orang dimana pengukuran tingkat pengetahuan didapatkan p<0.001 (p<0,05) sehingga terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan pendidikan dan pelatihan dalam hal peningkatan pengetahuan terkait penatalaksanaan DM. Pendidikan dan pelatihan peer health coaching mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan terkait manajemen penyakit, pasien DM dan keluarganya untuk mampu menjalankan efikasi diri yang baik dalam manajemen DM.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of brain gym on anxiety and stress levels in the experimental and control groups. The design of this study is Quasi-Experimental Design using simple random sampling techniques. Based on the results, there was a significant difference in the provision of Brain Gym on anxiety and stress levels in grade X students in the experimental group. From the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test analysis, the p-value is 0.000. The Mann Whitney Test statistical test obtained the result p-value of 0.000. The results of the study concluded that there was an effect of Brain Gym on anxiety and stress levels in online learning in grade X students. Keywords: Anxiety, Brain Gym, Online Learning, Stress

Abstract

Introduction: Many adolescents reported experiencing anxiety, stress, and depression due to poor time management and obsessive celebrity worship. This study aimed to explore the connection between self-control, celebrity worship, and mental health in adolescent K-pop fans. Methods: The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlative study design and a cross-sectional methodology. A total of 117 adolescent K-pop fans were selected using purposive sampling. The independent variables were self-control and celebrity worship, while mental health was the dependent variable. The Self-Control Scale (SCS) questionnaire, the Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS), and the Mental-Health Inventory-38 (MHI-38) were used for data collection. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman Rho test at a significance level of <0.05. Results: The majority of late teens who are K-Pop fans demonstrate moderate levels of self-control (72.6%), moderate celebrity worship (76.9%), and mild mental health (71.8%). The research highlights a significant relationship between self-control and celebrity worship (p<0.05, r= -0.207) and mental health (p<0.05, r=0.287) in adolescent K-Pop fans, and celebrity worship (p<0.05, r= -0.213) was related to mental health in adolescent K-Pop fans. Conclusion: Higher self-control is associated with lower celebrity worship and better mental health, whereas excessive celebrity worship is linked to poorer mental health. Awareness is needed from parents, schools, and health workers to engage with adolescents to help them recognize celebrity worship behaviors, promote self-control, cope with stress, maintain sound mental well-being, and set clear future goals.

Abstract

Low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) need to digitize mental health services to address disparities and improve access to healthcare. This study systematically reviewed the digitalization of integration mental health services that can reach interactions between service providers and recipients with media such as telemental health and mobile health. A literature search was conducted in March 2023. Randomized controlled trial (RCT) data were used from available studies. RCT data sources were obtained from internationally reputable journal articles with the theme of telehealth. The literature used was obtained from the databases Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed. Integration digitalized mental healthcare system under the auspices of the Ministry of Health that reach-nationally, official psychiatrists and other professional mental healthcare that provides mental healthcare support to areas lacking specialists consisting crisis and emergency, stable conditions, as well as the process of counseling and follow-up therapy with telemental health and mobile health media. Telemental health plays a major role in mental health services and modality therapy that can be accessed effectively and efficiently, especially for mental patients in remote areas who experience barriers to attending in person.

Abstract

Bullying is an anti-social behavior carried out by individuals or type of aggressive behavior that contains intentional aspects to dominate and hurt others and caused negative impact on the victim's physical and psychological. Imbalance of strength, whether physical, age, and social status, which is done repeatedly by one or several children against other children is a characteristic of bullying behavior. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of mHealth on bullying among children. The studies using PRISMA and searched in four databases that published between 2016 until 2020. Twelve articles found were used in this systematic review that contains about an antibullying program that involves several parties has the preventive efforts in cases of bullying. A majority of interventions can be used in bullying and also be used as promotive and preventive efforts in cases of bullying in schools and communities.

Abstract

Patients with chronic diseases like breast cancer experience psychological, biological, social, and spiritual changes or imbalances. Positive psychological well-being does not emerge automatically in breast cancer patients. Many factors influence psychological well-being in these individuals, and their psychological responses and transitions are subjective and rooted in personal experience. This study aimed to identify the psychological well-being of breast cancer patients in Surabaya. The design of this study is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The study included eight participants who met the research inclusion criteria. Data were collected using an in-depth interview technique. Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis was carried out on the data analysis. The results of this study obtained seven themes, namely loss response, psychological response, relationship with others, decision making, utilization of health services, hope, and self-adjustment. A person diagnosed with breast cancer requires a transition process to achieve comfort with a new situation. This transition process begins with a type of transition in the form of a diagnosis of breast cancer, and transition conditions that may facilitate or inhibit the transition process. These breast cancer patient response patterns are the way patients self-manage in making changes and outcome indicators in the form of positive psychological well-being. Abstract

Introduction: Disaster events can cause harm from physical, psychological, property and environmental aspects. Disasters affect the psychological well-being and mental health of individuals, both adults and children and adolescents. Post-disaster adaptation process is needed to achieve an adaptive response for adolescents so that post-traumatic stress does not become pathological. The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of adolescent adaptation after the earthquake disaster in Lombok West Nusa Tenggara in 2018.Method: This study used phenomenological qualitative research methods with in-depth interviews with 18 adolescents affected by the earthquake disaster, Analysis of data used refers to nine steps colaizzi data analysis techniques.Results: the results of this study obtained 11 themes: 1) changes in how to socialize, 2) changes in roles, 3) Exploring other abilities 4) Response to earthquakes, 5) Efforts to overcome the impact of disasters, 6) Sources of Support, 7) Types of Support, 8) Meanings of disasters, 9) Expectations for Lombok, 10) Expectations for oneself, 11) Expectations for authorities.Conclusion: Efforts to deal with the effects of earthquakes or coping strategies used by adolescents in the form of spiritual changes and distractions. Get closer to God by doing various forms of worship in accordance with the religion that is followed has an important role to be able to adapt to the impact caused by the earthquake disaster in adolescents.

Abstract

Introduction: The experience of a mental health practitioners can affect the quality of mental health services. Mental health practitioners have various obstacles in the treatment of mental disordered patients. The aim of this research is to know the experience mental health on treating mental disordered patients in health center.Method: This study uses qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Sampling was conducted by purposive sampling with a sample size of 15 participants. Data were collected using with observation and semistructured in-depth interview. Thematic analysis was performed using Colaizzi steps.Results:  The experience of mental health practitioners includes obstacles, motivation, and ways to overcome obstacles in dealing with mental patients. Obstacles faced by mental health practitioners come from mental disorders patients who do not want to take medicine and do physical or verbal violence against mental health workers, besides the lack of family support and lack of human resources so that health practitioners have difficulty in caring for mental disorders patients, but can be overcome with motivation education of mental health practitioners in treating mental patients, collaboration with cross-sectoral, improving the quality of human resources with CMHN training, socialization in the community and approach to the family.Conclusion: Experience can affect the level of knowledge and ability of mental health practitioners in handling mental disordered patients. The result of this research is expected to be used as both supporting data and references in increasing the quality of mental health service especially in health center work area.
