Abstract

Cloud computing and the Internet is the latest generation in the world of information technology (IT). This technology allows an organization to save costs IT infrastructure investments, in general, the organization that will use IT must build a data center that consists of multiple servers and build a whole needs supporters such as backup power, data backup and others are certainly in need of funds a little. With cloud computing technology was submitted burden on providers including peraawatan costs. Based on the type of service it, cloud computing is divided into three: SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and IaaS (infrastruture as a Service) (Juan, 2012). SaaS is an application that is intended to be used multiple users and invested in cloud Infrastructure generally accessed through the Internet by using a browser (firefox, chrome, etc.). In the traditional way of software deployed by installing on a desktop computer and its common one license for each computer. In the SaaS application can be used without having to install on the computer (Juan, 2012). This research emphasizes on how to build software based on SaaS and it’s implementing POLINELA. Of these activities is expected to be dug deeper into the advantages and weaknesses of this technology. Abstract

A design and implement a data provider services (services provider) new admissions web-based services to support the needs of data for executive support system without reducing the workload of academic database server, ensure interoperability and security systems in Lampung State Polytechnic. With the data provider services (services provider) is a web-based services, the future of academic data base server can be accessed and processed using a multi-platform applications.Methods floating system used in this study are the method of software engineering approach, Linear Models. Starting with the analysis, to collect and analyze data through field studies. Later stages of the design, architectural design services for data providers, data design, interfaces and applications required. The next stage is the implementation of the service architecture design data providers (services provider) web-based services, data, interfaces and applications implemented on the real or actual conditions. Abstract

Limbah kulit kopi hasil produksi Gapoktan belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal, hanya digunakan sebagai pupuk padat tanpa dilakukan pengolahan atau hanya dibuang ke lahan kopi. Limbah kulit kopi  memiliki kandungan nutrisi yang cukup baik untuk diproses menjadi produk yang memiliki nilai tambah tinggi jika dilakukan dengan fermentasi. Tujuan kegiatan adalah memberdayakan gabungan kelompok tani untuk: meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pengolahan limbah kulit kopi dengan bahan baku lain menjadi pupuk cair organic.  Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dengan teknik penyuluhan dan demontrasi cara pengolahan limbah kulit kopi menjadi pupuk organic cair. Hasil kegiatan adalah anggota kelompok tani memahami pentingnya melakukan pengolahan limbah kulit kopi dengan bahan baku yang tersedia menghasilkan pupuk cair dan maggot.  Kedua produk tersebut dapat mengefisienkan pengeluaran pupuk untuk budidaya kopi dan pakan ikan.

Abstract

Post-harvest Robusta coffee conducted by local farmers in West Lampung consisted of two post-harvest processes: dry processing (natural, honey) and wet processing (full wash). The study aimed to identify the post-harvest process stages, the value of quality defects and to characterize the chemical composition (chlorogenic acid, caffeine) of coffee beans from different post-harvest processes produced by Gapoktan Triguna Tribudi Syukur, West Lampung. The research used survey and interview methods equipped with laboratory analysis. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling, a coffee producer (Gapoktan Triguna) who have been fostering coffee in West Lampung for 35 years. Coffee quality analysis refered to SNI 01-2907-2020. The results showed that the post-harvest process carried out by Gapoktan Triguna on honey, natural and full wash processing produced premium quality of of coffee beans (1-2 quality) with the highest number of quality defects produced were broken beans. The roasting process with semi-mechanical and mechanical machines with natural processing produced high chlorogenic acid content (>3%) and the caffeine content according to the SNI caffeine content (2%). Keywords: caffeine, chlorogenic acid, defects, post-harvest, Robusta

Abstract

The arising problem in South Lampung Regency is that the pattern of cattle breeding runs on people's businesses scale related to other farming.  The farmers established partnerships with feedlots to tackle the hardships of developing cattle breeding for more effective and efficient results. The disproportionate structure of cattle breeding should be analyzed carefully. This research aims to analyze the feasibility of a cattle breeding partnership in the two cattle breeding centers of the South Lampung Regency.  The data were quantitatively analyzed with feasibility analysis and the indicators are NPV (Net Present Value), Net B / C (Net Benefit Cost Ratio), PP (Payback Period), and IRR (Internal Rate of Return.  The research results indicate that the profit scheme is IDR 20,353,930. As the Net B/C ratio is higher than 1, the business is feasible. Also, the IRR value of 29.9% signifies that the business is economically feasible.

Abstract

As the Ongole Cross-Breed breeding cluster, cattle farms in the Wawasan village area had applied beef products of diversification beef floss to solve fluctuations in cattle prices, low farm income, and seasonal cattle sales. This study purposed to analyze the economic efficiency of beef floss production in KWT Karya Sejahtera. The basic method of this research was descriptive-analytic. The research location was chosen purposively by KWT Karya Sejahtera as the production center for beef floss in Tanjungsari District. The analytical method was cost analysis, profitability, and business efficiency. The analysis results and discussion showed that the beef floss production was efficiently managed. It was indicated by the efficiency value of the beef floss business of 1.3 (more than 1). As a whole, beef floss production contributes an additional 20% of what is run by farmers, so this business is feasible to run economically.

Abstract

Currently, Indonesia is experiencing a waste emergency and it is very worrying. The amount of waste generated by the population in Indonesia reaches 189 thousand tons per day. The author proposes by utilizing internet of things (IoT) technology as a means to make it easier for employees and those closest to them to have high awareness of waste. The contribution of this design is based on 3 parties, namely students, PDAM Way Komering and Lampung State Polytechnic. For the design of this final project using the RAD method. With the creation of this system, it can facilitate the management and disposal of waste by officers and the surrounding community.

Abstract

Coffee skin is a waste from green coffee production as much as 40-45% which has the potential as a source of natural antioxidants. The diversity of local Robusta coffee clones in West Lampung as raw materials for the processing of coffee products provides a variety of coffee skins which are thought to have strong antioxidant activity which is useful as a functional drink for coffee skin tea (cascara).The aims of the study werestudy aimed of the study were to identify the sweetness level of coffee cherries skin from three local coffee robusta clones (rope, huerona, and srintil), identify antioxidant activity, test consumer preferences, and calculate the added value of coffee skin tea (cascara). The research method uses DPPH antioxidant activity analysis, consumer preference test (organoleptic hedonic test), and the calculation of added valueadded value calculation using the Hayami method. The results showed that the antioxidant activity of the Rope clone had strong antioxidant activity, the cascara drink on the level of aroma, taste, and liking for cascara tea found no difference between samples based on analysis of variance, but. Still, the cascara drink from the Rope clone had a darker color. The added value generated by the cascara is IDR 27,941 per kilogram of raw materials used
