Abstract

The convertion of wind energy into electrical energy in laboratory is experimentally conducted, to the source of the wind came from the fan, which then flowed into a tunnel. The generator used is bicycle dynamo with voltage output of 12 Volt. The wind speed against the tunnel lenght increases when the length are 0,90 m, 0,75 m, and 0,60 m, and decrease on 0,45 m and 0,30 m. The decrease of wind speed occur because of fan vibration, unregularity of tunnel surface area and turbulence. The wind speed is observed to be the largest on the length of 0,60 m with the wind speed at the level of the third button of fan its average speed of 4,16 m/s with generator power, torque and efficiency are 9,47× 10−3 Watt, 2,63× 10−1 Nm and 0,30% respectively. The current and voltage output produced by generator is AC current and voltage and resulte 72,85 mA dan 0,13 Volt, therefore to convert they into DC current and voltage output, effective current and voltage equation is applied which get 0,05 Ampere and 0,09 Volt.

Abstract

This article discusses the family of Laguerre method to find multiple roots of non-linear equations with a known multiplicity. Analytically, we show that this iterative method has a convergence of order three. Furthermore, by choosing the value of certain parameter in the Laguerre method, we obtained several well-known iterativemethods. Using some test functions, we compare the family of Laguerre methods to obtain a root of nonlinear equation by looking at the number iterations of the methods. In addition, comparisons are also made through Basins of Attraction.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the learning process and increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes through of The Implementation of Quick On The Draw Activity In STAD Type Cooperative Learning. This type of research is the Classroom Action Research with two cycle. The research was conducted in class VIII.6 in the first semester of the 2016/2017 academic year with the subject of as many as 34 students, consist of 13 boys and 21 girls. The research instrument consists of learning devices and instrument data collectors. Learning device used in this research is the Syllabus, Lesson Plan, Worksheet and Questions Card. The instrument data collector used in this research is the observation sheet and math achievement test. Data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. Based on the result of the research showed that implementation of learning process on cycle II had happened improvement from implementation on cycle I. Weakness on cycle I is improved on implementation cycle II according with planning of improvement after reflection cycle I. Number of students that reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increase from basic score to daily test 2. The number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria on basic score, daily test 1 and daily test 2 are respectively 8 person (23,52%), 13 person (38,23%) and 19 person (55,88%). Results of this research indicates that application of the Quick on the Draw Aktivity in Cooperative Learning of STAD can improve learning process and increase mathematics learning outcomes from the students at class VIII.6 MTsN Ujung Tanjung in the first semester academic years 2016/2017 at Basic Competencies 1.3 understanding the concept of relation and functions , 1.4  determining the value of the function and 1.5 sketching graphs simple algebra functions on the coordinate system.

Abstract

The type of research is the Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The research was conducted in studentof grade VIII2 SMP N 26 Pekanbaru in the second semester of the 2015/2016 academic year with the subject of as many as 39 students. The research instrument are consists of learning devices and instrument data collectors. Learning device used in this research are consists of the Syllabus, Lesson plan and Student work sheet. The instrument data collector used in this research is consists of the observation sheet and math test. Technique of data analysis is analysis of narrative descriptive and analysis of statistical descriptive. Based on the result of the research show that, the learning process has improved and the student’s mathematics learning outcomes have improved after applying the Cooperative Learning with Think Pair Square Approach. The STAD Cooperative Learning with the Talking Stick method can be used as an alternative in learning, because it can improve the learning process and improve the students learning outcomes.Key Words: STAD Cooperative Learning, Talking Stick method, learning process, students learning outcomes

Abstract

Abstract: This study is a class act. The study is based on classroom learning conditions of class VIII3 SMP 25 Pekanbaru are still problematic, where the value of learners is below the KKM and learning are still centered on the teacher. Therefore, this study aims to improve learning process and improve mathematics learning outcomes. The subject of this research is VIII3 grade students of SMP 25 Pekanbaru on odd semester 2014/2015 in academic year, which amounts to 40 people consisting of 13 men and 27 women with heterogeneous levels of ability. This study consisted of two cycles, each cycle consisting of four phases, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. Each end of the cycle performed quiz. Data collected through observation and tests in the form of a quiz. Data analysis technique in this research is the analysis of qualitative data and quantitative data analysis. The results of research on the observation sheet showed the activity of teachers and learners increasingly performing well after doing the action. Based on the observations of researchers during the learning process in the classroom VIII3 SMP 25 Pekanbaru, most of the students were active in the learning process are implemented. Achievement attitude in its development more visible in working LKPD, as evidenced by an increase in the number of learners who achieve good and very good category. Same with the attainment of skills of students, number of learners who are skilled and skilled enough to rise. The percentage of students who achieve the KKM knowledge base score, quiz I (first cycle), replicates quiz II (second cycle) respectively is 42.5%, 65%, and 67.5%. Action is successful if the state after the action better. The results showed that the application of the approach to the pair checked into cooperative learning can improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes VIII3 grade math students SMP 25 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Results of mathematics learning, cooperative learning, Pair check, action research.

Abstract

Abstract: This research based on the student’s mathematics achievement in class IX7 of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru, there are 12 of 32 students who achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria or 37,5% for similarity lesson. This research aims to improve the learning process and increase the student’s mathematics achievement by applying the model of Cooperative Learning Numbered Head Techniques. The subject of this research were the students in class IX7 SMPN 8 Pekanbaru, there are 32 students with heterogeneous level of academic capabilities. This research is a class action research by two cycles. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and students mathematic tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in qualitative, while the student’s mathematic tests were analyzed in quantitative. The qualitative descriptive showed that there is the improvement of learning process after the action on the first and second cycles. The result showed that there is an increase in student’s achievement from the basic score with the percentage 37,5% to 56,25% on the first test and 78,1% on the second test. Based on the result of this research, can be concluded that the implementation of Cooperative Learning Numbered Head Techniques can improve the learning process and increase the student’s mathematics achievement class IX7 of SMPN 8 Pekanbaru by the academic years 2014/2015. Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on the low the ability of student’s mathematical understanding of class X MIA MAN 1 Pekanbaru. This research was done in class X MIA of MAN 1 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic year 2015/2016. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the implementation Cooperative Learning Model Think Pair Square (TPS) to increase the ability of student’s mathematical understanding of class X MIA MAN 1 Pekanbaru. The type of this research is quasi-experimental with a design that is used is Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. This research involved two classes, namely samples that are subjected to the experimental class of the application of cooperative learning model Think Pair square (TPS) while the control group received treatment in the form of conventional learning. The instrument of collecting data in this study is pretest and posttest ability mathematical understanding. This study shows that the increase in the ability of students' mathematical understanding experimental class is better than the control class. Index increased ability of understanding mathematical experimental class at the high category while the control class in middle category. It can be concluded that cooperative learning model Think Pair Square positive effect of increasing the ability of student’s mathematical understanding class X MIA MAN 1 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic year 2015/2016.Key Word : The Ability Of Mathematical Understanding, Cooperative Learning Model Think Pair Square (TPS), Quasi-experimental Research

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase the student’s mathematics learning outcomes by applying Discovery Learning model. The subjects of this research are the student of class XI MIA 1 SMAN 8 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2014/2015, which amounts to 35 students. This research consists of two cycles, each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collected through observation and learning outcomes test. Data analysis is done by observation data analysis and student’s mathematics learning outcomes data analysis. The action is successful if teacher’s activities and student’s activities increase in every meeting and the number of students who reach Minimum Mastery Criteria increases in every cycle. Observation data analysis showed that learning process in class XI MIA 1 SMAN 8 Pekanbaru has improved at each meeting. Student’s mathematics learning outcomes data analysis show that student’s mathematics learning increase before action and after action, that aims: (1) Amount students that reach behavior Minimum Mastery Criteria of confidence in base score is 25 students increase to 32 students at the first cycle and 35 students at the second cycle. For discipline, in base score is 29 students increase to 32 students at the first cycle and 34 students at the second cycle. For responsibility, in base score is 31 students at the first cycle and at the second cycle; (2) Amount students that reach knowledge Minimum Mastery Criteria in base score is 17 students increase to 22 students at the first cycle and 29 students at the second cycle; and (3) Amount students that reach skill Minimum Mastery Criteria in base score is 12 students increase to 16 students at the first cycle and 18 students at the second cycle. The result of this research showed that cooperative learning Discovery Learning model improve the learning process and increase the mathematics learning outcomes the students of class XI MIA 1 SMAN 8 Pekanbaru at second semester of academic years 2014/2015.Keywords: Mathematic learning outcomes, Discovery Learning, Class action research

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the learning process and improve students' mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of cooperative learning with Numbered Heads Together structural approach. This type of research is Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The research was conducted in class VIII SMP Negeri 03 Rokan IV Koto in second semester of the 2015/2016 academic year with the subject of 34 students. The research instrument consists of learning tools and instruments to collect data. This study used syllabus, lesson plans and worksheets. Data collection instruments used in this study is the observation sheet and students’ test. Data analysis technique used are analysis descriptive narrative of qualitative data and descriptive statistical analysis of quantitative data. Based on the results of the study, the learning process has improved and students' mathematics learning outcomes also increased after applying cooperative learning with Numbered Heads Together structural approach. Thus, cooperative learning with Numbered Heads Together structural approach can be implemented as an alternative to learning, because learning approaches can improve the learning process and improve student learning outcomes.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Structural Approach Numbered Heads togheter, Learning Process, Learning Outcomes.
