Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers’ difficulties and their strategies in implementing the project method in Pancasila Education at SMKN 4 Padang. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews and classroom observations involving teachers and school management.  The findings reveal that teachers encounter challenges across three main stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning stage, difficulties arise in translating learning outcomes into concrete project activities, designing instructional plans, and aligning them with limited time and resources. During implementation, challenges include time management, low student engagement, classroom dynamics, and limited facilities. In the evaluation stage, teachers face difficulties in developing appropriate assessment instruments, identifying individual contributions in group work, and conducting follow-up on learning outcomes. These findings indicate that the implementation of the project method requires not only teacher competence but also adaptive strategies and strong institutional support to ensure effective and meaningful learning.

Abstract

The development of modernization has brought significant changes to people's lives and impacted cultural traditions. Many regional traditions have experienced shifts in implementation and even disappeared due to modernization. This study aims to examine the existence of the baronde tradition and the factors that have contributed to its persistence over time. In processing the data, this study employed a qualitative methodology with an ethnographic approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving village officials, traditional leaders, and the local community as informants. The results indicate that the baronde tradition is still practiced by the community, although with some adjustments. This tradition embodies the values of togetherness, mutual cooperation, and an expression of gratitude for God's blessings in agricultural activities. The continuity of the baronde tradition is influenced by the community's cultural experiences, which recognize the benefits of tradition, and also by the cultural understanding passed down through formal and informal education.

Abstract

Pancasila Education plays a strategic role as a vehicle for political education in shaping democratic attitudes and enhancing student participation within the school environment. This study aims to analyze how Pancasila Education contributes to fostering democratic attitudes and student participation in school organizations, specifically the Student Council (OSIS) at SMAN 1 Batusangkar. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and a preliminary survey of students active in the organization. The results of the study indicate that although students have understood the concept of democracy theoretically, its implementation in organizational activities remains suboptimal. This is evident from the dominance of the core executive members in decision-making, students’ participation that tends to be passive, and members’ involvement that is still limited to the implementation stage of activities. This situation indicates that democratic values have not yet been fully internalized in organizational practices. Therefore, more contextual learning innovations and evaluations that focus not only on cognitive aspects but also on affective and psychomotor aspects are needed so that Pancasila Education can function more effectively as political education.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the social and economic impacts of women's involvement in the Tunas Muda farmer group and to identify the implementation of the Pancasila values of the third principle by women in the Tunas Muda farmer group in Sungai Manau Village. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The selection of informants in this study through purposive sampling consisting of village officials, agricultural extension workers, members of farmer groups, and local communities, through data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation studies. The validity test of this research data uses source triangulation and method triangulation techniques. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Hamberman model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the involvement of women in the Tunas Muda farmer group has a social impact in the form of increased relationships between members and increased knowledge. Meanwhile, the economic impact felt is the ease of access to loans for farmer group members and helps meet family economic needs. In addition, the implementation of the Pancasila values of the third principle is seen in the practice of mutual cooperation in agricultural activities that illustrates a sense of togetherness among members, and decision making through deliberation. Thus, the Tunas Muda Farmers Group not only improves social and economic welfare, but also strengthens the values of unity, togetherness, and participation in community life, thereby supporting the success of the women's empowerment process in a sustainable manner.
