Abstract

Malocclusion is the third most common dental problem after caries and periodontal diseases, with prevalence reaching 56% in the world and 89% in Indonesia (2006), respectively. Index of Complexity, Outcome, and Need (ICON) is an assessment tool to measure the necessity, complexity, and success of orthodontic treatment. Although several studies have reported a causal relationship between malocclusion and periodontal disease, the association is still under debate. The aim of this study was to analyze the correlation between malocclusion complexity based on ICON and the periodontal status of patients who underwent orthodontic treatment at the Orthodontic Clinic, Dental Hospital, Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Indonesia. Material and Method: This was an analytical study with a cross-sectional design. Fifty-four new patients (aged 25-44 years) were included. Patients who had systemic disease, used fixed orthodontic appliance or prosthesis, and had some local factors were excluded. Periodontal status, ICON complexity, study model, and radiographic results were examined and analyzed. An interclass correlation test was carried out to obtain data reliability. Result: the majority of malocclusion complexities based on ICON were mild (46.3%). Periodontal status consisted of Plaque Index (good, 81.5%; moderate, 18.5%), Papillary Bleeding Index (no bleeding, 90.7%; severe bleeding, 1.9%), Clinical Attachment Loss (moderate, 40.7%; severe, 22.2%), gingival recession (mild, 83.3%; severe, 7.4%), periodontal probing depth (moderate, 77.8%; severe, 3.7%), and alveolar bone height (middle third, 53.7%; cervical third, 46.3%). Conclusion: No significant correlation was found between malocclusion complexity based on ICON and periodontal status.

Abstract

This research aims to explain (1) the frequency of verb bases forming verb collocations in the novel "five apart", (2) the grammatical and lexical categories of verb collocations, (3) the construction of lexical category verb collocations, and (4) the function of verb collocations on sentence in the novel "five feet apart". This research data was taken from the novel by Lippincott, Mikki Daughtry, and Tobias Laconis in the form of collocations in the form of phrases and clauses. Data was collected by applying a corpus machine. The collected data was analyzed using Quirk's grammar theory and Palmer's semantic theory. The results of the analysis were presented using formal and informal methods. Based on the analysis carried out, it was found: that (1) there were four findings in this analysis. The verb base frequencies of the English verb collocations of the novel "five feet apart" from the application of corpus software were classified into three frequencies, medium and low frequencies. (2) The verb collocation categories found in the novel "five feet apart" are grammatical and lexical. (3) Syntactic construction of verb collocations that contain noun collocations are verb phrases and clauses. Meanwhile, verb collocation constructions that contain adverbial collocates are adverbial clauses and phrasal verbs. (4) The function of verb collocations in the sentences found is studied from the basis that forms phrases and clauses acting as subjects, predicates, and objects. Meanwhile, the collocation function is studied from the collocator's role as a fixed combination.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of the principles of justice in administering sentences in cases of criminal acts of corruption based on Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes. Based on a thematic analysis of court decisions, it was found that there were significant disparities in sentences in corruption cases, especially those involving public officials. Factors such as political influence, public pressure, and judges' interpretation of the severity of criminal acts are the main causes of this injustice. In addition, light sentences are often disproportionate to the loss to the state, giving rise to public dissatisfaction and weakening confidence in the justice system. To increase the application of the principles of justice, this research suggests several efforts, including the preparation of more detailed sentencing guidelines, strengthening the independence of judicial institutions, and increasing the transparency of the legal process. These findings show the importance of balancing justice, legal certainty and expediency in administering punishments for corruption cases. Thus, implementing the principles of justice can provide a more effective deterrent effect while restoring public trust in the Indonesian legal system.

Abstract

 Tujuan dari sosialisasi inovasi jamu adalah untuk memaksimalkan kekayaan alam tanaman obat serta meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat baik UMKM maupun yang berbadan hukum di Desa Wisata Kiringan, Canden. Serta dapat menarik konsumen baru dari berbagai kalangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam sosialisasi inovasi jamu ini adalah: Sosialisasi program, observasi, melakukan wawancara terkait kebutuhan prioritas, pemaparan materi inovasi jamu, praktek pembuatan jamu. Hasil dari kegiatan sosialisasi ini adalah: (1) Para pelaku usaha UMKM mendapatkan informasi inovasi jamu baru, (2) Para pelaku usaha UMKM memahami standar CPIRT,(3) Para pelaku usaha UMKM dapat memahami khasiat/kegunaan dari jamu inovasi rosela jahe merah, (4) Para pelaku usaha UMKM dapat membuat / memproduksi rosela jahe merah.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain data on the improvement of Mandarin character writing skills of students using the spaced repetition method. The subjects of this study were 29 students from the 5th grade at Zion Elementary School GKKA-UP Makassar. This research is a classroom action study consisting of two cycles. The data in this study are of two types: qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data were obtained through observation, while quantitative data were obtained from writing skill tests in Cycle I and Cycle II. The results of the study showed that students' Mandarin character writing skills had an average score of 75 in Cycle I, categorized as fair, and improved in Cycle II with an average score of 85, categorized as good. These results indicate that the application of the spaced repetition method can improve the Mandarin character writing skills of 5th grade students at Zion Elementary School GKKA-UP Makassar.

Abstract

This study is a pre-experiment that aims to determine whether the Point-Based Gamification learning model has an effect or not on increasing the motivation in learn the IPAS of the Fifth Grade students of SD Inpres 12/79 Masukg, Mare District, Bone Regency in science learning. The variables in this study are the Point-Based Gamification learning model and students' IPAS learning motivation. The population in this study were all of the Fifth Grade students of SD Inpres 12/79 Masukg, totaling 20 students. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling. The data from this study were obtained through the provision of questionnaires. The data collection techniques used were observation and questionnaires to determine the students' learning motivation before and after using the Point-Based Gamification learning model. Based on the descriptive statistical analysis, the average pretest and posttest were of 65.95 and 82.25 respectively; based on the inferential statistical analysis, the Sig. value was of 0.00 <0.05, which means that there is a significant difference between the average pretest score and the average posttest. Conclusion: The point-based gamification learning model has a significant effect on increasing the motivation in the learn the IPASof the Fifth Grade students of SD Inpres 12//79 Masukg, Mare District, Bone Regency

Abstract

AbstractThis writing aimed to document the lyrical folk songs of Minangkabau and to investigate the functions contained in the songs anthropologically. Thus, this writing used the anthropological approach and the functions theory. Of all the kinds of folk songs, such as functional song, lyrical song, and narrative song, Minangkabau ethnic group owns lyrical song with many kinds of genre that still can be traced until now. This kind of folk songs relatively belongs to all sub-ethnic group (nagari) of Minangkabau. Some of the titles of the songs are “Kamang Bakayu” (The Kamang people collect firewood), “Bukik Apik Marandang Kopi” (The Bukit Apit people simmer coffee), “Solok Manuai” (The Solok people harvest rice), “Cupak Maambiak lado” (The Cupak people harvest chili), and “Guguak Manitik Ameh” (The Guguk people inlay jewel on gold). These song titles shows the sub-ethnic group or the region of living of every community in Minangkabau, also the occupation of the people have. The folk songs are tended to be extinct due to the active heirs are in old ages and the inheritance process is no longer happened, whereas the songs contains of functions that have benefits for their supporters. The functions themselves caused the popularity of the songs in the past.Keywords: folk songs, Minangkabau lyrical song, anthropological approach, and functions theoryAbstrakTulisan ini bertujuan mendokumentasikan nyanyian liris rakyat Minangkabau dan mengkaji fungsifungsi yang terkandung di dalamnya dalam kerangka antropologi. Dengan demikian, tulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan antropologis dan teori fungsi. Di antara jenis-jenis nyanyian rakyat, seperti Nyanyian Berfungsi, Nyanyian Liris, dan Nyanyian Kisahan, suku bangsa Minangkabau memiliki jenis Nyanyian Liris dengan berbagai ragam yang masih dapat ditelusuri hingga saat ini. Ragam nyanyian rakyat dimaksud relatif dimiliki oleh semua subsuku bangsa (nagari) di Minangkabau. Beberapa judul nyanyian tersebut di antaranya adalah “Kamang Bakayu” (Orang Kamang mengumpulkan kayu bakar), “Bukik Apik Marandang Kopi” (Orang Bukit Apit merendang kopi), “Solok Manuai” (Orang Solok menuai padi), “Cupak Maambiak Lado” (Orang Cupak memanen cabe), dan “Guguak Manitik Ameh” (Orang Guguk menatah/memasang permata pada emas). Juduljudul tersebut menunjukkan subsuku bangsa atau nagari tempat berdiam setiap kelompok masyarakat di Minangkabau serta mata pencaharian (jenis pekerjaan) yang mereka tekuni. Nyanyian rakyat tersebut dikhawatirkan akan punah karena pewaris aktifnya saat ini telah berusia lanjut dan proses pewarisan tidak berlangsung lagi. Padahal, nyanyian rakyat tersebut mengandung fungsi-fungsi yang sangat bermanfaat bagi khalayak pendukungnya. Fungsi-fungsi itulah yang menyebabkan nyanyian rakyat tersebut disukai dan popular pada suatu ketika di masa lalu.Kata Kunci: nyanyian rakyat, nyanyian liris Minangkabau, pendekatan antropologis, dan teori fungsi

Abstract

This research aims to improve reading comprehension of texts using picture story media. This type of research is classroom action research, using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. This research consisted of four steps, namely, planning, action, observation and reflection, and was carried out in two cycles. The data collection technique used in this research is through tests, observation and documentation. This is proven by research data, namely the results of the pre-cycle test, there were 6 students who completed or 42.85% of all students who got ≥ 65, in the first cycle there were 15 students who finished or 71.47 of all students who got a score ≥ 65, while the results of the second cycle test were 19 students who completed it or 90.47% of all students who got a score ≥ 65. The results of this study show that using picture story media can increase understanding of reading texts from cycle I to cycle II by 90 .47%.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in the Social Sciences subject, Sub-theme Cultural Diversity of My Nation through the Student Team Achivemenet Division Learning Model with Image Media for Class IV of Lamangga 1 State Elementary School. The design and model used in this research is the Kemmis and Taggart model which includes planning, implementation, observation, reflection and re-planning and the type of research carried out by the researcher is classroom action research (PTK). From the results of the first cycle evaluation, data was obtained from 22 students, there were 13 students who obtained a KKM score of 65 or classically reaching 59% and 9 students who did not complete 41% with an average score of 65.52 and a weighted score achieved of 1,443. Meanwhile, in cycle II, classically, student learning outcomes increased, where of the 22 students, there were 20 students who obtained a KKM score of 65 or classically reaching 91% and 2 students who did not meet the KKM 9% with an average score of 85.22 and weighted score. achieved was 1,875. Based on the research results, it is concluded that the application of the student team achievement team learning model can improve student learning outcomes in Social Sciences subjects in class IV of Lamangga 1 State Elementary School.
