Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in the Social Sciences subject, Sub-theme Cultural Diversity of My Nation through the Student Team Achivemenet Division Learning Model with Image Media for Class IV of Lamangga 1 State Elementary School. The design and model used in this research is the Kemmis and Taggart model which includes planning, implementation, observation, reflection and re-planning and the type of research carried out by the researcher is classroom action research (PTK). From the results of the first cycle evaluation, data was obtained from 22 students, there were 13 students who obtained a KKM score of 65 or classically reaching 59% and 9 students who did not complete 41% with an average score of 65.52 and a weighted score achieved of 1,443. Meanwhile, in cycle II, classically, student learning outcomes increased, where of the 22 students, there were 20 students who obtained a KKM score of 65 or classically reaching 91% and 2 students who did not meet the KKM 9% with an average score of 85.22 and weighted score. achieved was 1,875. Based on the research results, it is concluded that the application of the student team achievement team learning model can improve student learning outcomes in Social Sciences subjects in class IV of Lamangga 1 State Elementary School.

Abstract

Introduction: Based on Indonesia Basic Health Research in 2018, it is known that 47% of Lampung people experience tooth decay and only 51% of them regularly go to the dentist. The need for orthodontic treatment is quite high among students. Epidemiological studies in Japan show that around 40% of teenagers aged 15-18 years need orthodontic treatment, 27%-36% in England aged 10-15 years, while in South Jakarta (2004) is 48.5%. Brook and Shaw introduced the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN), to assess the need for orthodontic treatment in England. IOTN has been applied by Agusni, T to measure the treatment needs of urban and rural children in Surabaya. Objective: Aims to determine the perceptions of elementary school students in Lampung regarding Malocclusion and the need for Orthodontic treatment. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted in May 2023, carried out on students at public Elementary School Bumi Agung who met the inclusion criteria, namely aged 9-13 years, had never and were not currently undergoing orthodontic treatment, and were willing to take part in the research. 130 people were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Questionnaires were used to obtain sociodemographic data and general knowledge about Dental and Oral Health and Malocclusion. Assessment of the need for orthodontic treatment was carried out using the AC IOTN by the subject and operator. Results: 90% of students answered the questionnaire correctly, and 42% of students needed orthodontic treatment. A Pearson Chi-Square analysis test was carried out and found that there was a statistical difference in the perception of the need for orthodontic treatment by students and operators (p-value <0.05). Conclusion: Students at SDN Bumi Agung, Kalianda, Lampung, have very good general knowledge about Dental and Oral Health and Malocclusion. However, this is unsubstantiated by the perception of the need for orthodontic treatment.

Abstract

Penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran sangatlah penting karena berguna untuk upaya meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Kenyataan di lapangan menunjukkan kualitas pembelajaran masih sangat rendah. Rendahnya kualitas pada pembelajaran banyak dikarenakan oleh menurunnya minat dan motivasi belajar siswa. Kurang menariknya pembelajaran yang dibawakan oleh guru menyebabkan siswa merasa bosan mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Penggunaan Aplikasi Canva di SMP Muhammadiyah Belik. Metode Penelitian, dengan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode triangulasi untuk menguji keabsahan data penelitian. Hasil Penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa siswa SMP Muhammadiyah Belik menggunakan aplikasi Canva dengan baik. Dengan kata lain, aplikasi Canva memungkinkan guru untuk berkreasi dalam proses belajar mereka. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa Aplikasi Canva digunakan oleh guru di SMP Muhammadiyah Belik dengan baik dan relevan dengan pembelajaran saat ini.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effectiveness of the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) learning model on the ability to understand mathematical concepts in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Rakit Kulim. This type of research is a quasi-experimental. The research design used was the Randomized Subjects Posttest Only Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Rakit Kulim. The Sampling technique is Nonprobability Sampling. Class VIII.B was selected as the experimental class and class VIII.A as control class. The data collection technique used in this study was a test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts in the form of essay questions. Data analysis techniques in this study used the Normality Test, Homogeneity Test and Hypothesis Test. Based on the result of research on the two sample classes, it was found that form the results of data analysis with the T-test, the result of Sig. < α  is  0,00 < 0,05. Then the decision taken is to accept H1 and reject H0. Thus there is a significant difference between the average student learning outcomes in the experimental class using the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) model which is better than the control class. So it be concluded that CTL (Sontextual Teaching and Learning) learning is effective on the ability to understand mathematical concepts in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Rakit Kulim.

Abstract

This study aims to examine teachers’ approaches in addressing bullying behavior among students at SDN 1 Kambowa, North Buton Regency. Bullying is a serious issue that can negatively affect students’ physical, emotional, and psychological development. This research employed a qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The participants included students, teachers, the school principal, and parents. The findings reveal that teachers applied several approaches to handle bullying, namely humanistic, preventive, intervention, restorative, and behavioristic approaches. Among these, the humanistic, preventive, and restorative approaches were the most frequently implemented in classroom management and daily school practices. These findings contribute to the field of educational psychology and classroom management by providing empirical insights into effective bullying prevention and intervention strategies. Furthermore, the results may serve as a reference for schools in developing comprehensive, sustainable, and relationship-oriented strategies to address bullying behavior.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini berusaha mengoptimalkan peran Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) dalam meningkatkan minat baca generasi muda di era digital. Latar belakang menunjukkan Indonesia menghadapi krisis literasi meskipun tingginya penetrasi internet. Tujuan pengabdian adalah mengoptimalkan peran TBM melalui pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR). Metode menggunakan teknik kualitatif partisipatif meliputi observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan focus group discussion. Populasi mencakup pengelola TBM, tokoh masyarakat, karang taruna, remaja, dan pengunjung di Kelurahan Wasaga. Sampel ditentukan melalui purposive sampling dengan pendekatan partisipatif. Instrumen dan analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman dengan triangulasi untuk menjamin validitas. Hasil menunjukkan TBM berfungsi sebagai pusat akses informasi, ruang interaksi sosial, dan platform digital marketing dengan peningkatan engagement 70-80% dalam tiga bulan. Kolaborasi multipihak menciptakan program terintegrasi yang memperkuat literasi lokal. Kesimpulannya, optimalisasi TBM menjadi strategi cost-effective untuk meningkatkan literasi masyarakat secara berkelanjutan di era digital.

Abstract

This paper aims to construct a model of indigenous community empowerment in responding to social change in the Arfak Mountains. Social transformation driven by development expansion, market economic integration, and shifts in values and social relations has affected local livelihoods, customary institutional structures, and cultural practices. This research employs a qualitative approach using ethnographic methods to gain an in-depth understanding of lived experiences, symbolic meanings, and community adaptation strategies in navigating these dynamics. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with customary leaders, women, and youth, as well as the review of local documents. The data were analyzed interpretatively through processes of reduction, categorization, and meaning-making. The findings indicate that effective empowerment is contextual, participatory, and rooted in local wisdom. The proposed model emphasizes strengthening customary institutions, community-based resource management, sustainable local economic development, and the creation of dialogue spaces between customary actors and government. Empowerment is understood not merely as economic capacity building, but as a collective process that reinforces cultural identity, social solidarity, and community resilience to change. This study offers an ethnography-based empowerment framework that is sensitive to the values and social structures of indigenous communities in the Arfak Mountains.
