Abstract

This study aims to examine teachers’ approaches in addressing bullying behavior among students at SDN 1 Kambowa, North Buton Regency. Bullying is a serious issue that can negatively affect students’ physical, emotional, and psychological development. This research employed a qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The participants included students, teachers, the school principal, and parents. The findings reveal that teachers applied several approaches to handle bullying, namely humanistic, preventive, intervention, restorative, and behavioristic approaches. Among these, the humanistic, preventive, and restorative approaches were the most frequently implemented in classroom management and daily school practices. These findings contribute to the field of educational psychology and classroom management by providing empirical insights into effective bullying prevention and intervention strategies. Furthermore, the results may serve as a reference for schools in developing comprehensive, sustainable, and relationship-oriented strategies to address bullying behavior.

Abstract

Abstract

This paper aims to construct a model of indigenous community empowerment in responding to social change in the Arfak Mountains. Social transformation driven by development expansion, market economic integration, and shifts in values and social relations has affected local livelihoods, customary institutional structures, and cultural practices. This research employs a qualitative approach using ethnographic methods to gain an in-depth understanding of lived experiences, symbolic meanings, and community adaptation strategies in navigating these dynamics. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with customary leaders, women, and youth, as well as the review of local documents. The data were analyzed interpretatively through processes of reduction, categorization, and meaning-making. The findings indicate that effective empowerment is contextual, participatory, and rooted in local wisdom. The proposed model emphasizes strengthening customary institutions, community-based resource management, sustainable local economic development, and the creation of dialogue spaces between customary actors and government. Empowerment is understood not merely as economic capacity building, but as a collective process that reinforces cultural identity, social solidarity, and community resilience to change. This study offers an ethnography-based empowerment framework that is sensitive to the values and social structures of indigenous communities in the Arfak Mountains.

Abstract

This research aims to explain (1) the frequency of verb bases forming verb collocations in the novel "five apart", (2) the grammatical and lexical categories of verb collocations, (3) the construction of lexical category verb collocations, and (4) the function of verb collocations on sentence in the novel "five feet apart". This research data was taken from the novel by Lippincott, Mikki Daughtry, and Tobias Laconis in the form of collocations in the form of phrases and clauses. Data was collected by applying a corpus machine. The collected data was analyzed using Quirk's grammar theory and Palmer's semantic theory. The results of the analysis were presented using formal and informal methods. Based on the analysis carried out, it was found: that (1) there were four findings in this analysis. The verb base frequencies of the English verb collocations of the novel "five feet apart" from the application of corpus software were classified into three frequencies, medium and low frequencies. (2) The verb collocation categories found in the novel "five feet apart" are grammatical and lexical. (3) Syntactic construction of verb collocations that contain noun collocations are verb phrases and clauses. Meanwhile, verb collocation constructions that contain adverbial collocates are adverbial clauses and phrasal verbs. (4) The function of verb collocations in the sentences found is studied from the basis that forms phrases and clauses acting as subjects, predicates, and objects. Meanwhile, the collocation function is studied from the collocator's role as a fixed combination.

Abstract

Abstract. Anggadhania L, Rizqiani KD, Krisnawati, Novriyanti E, Adalina Y. 2026. Responses of Tetragonula sapiens and T. clypearis to biotic and abiotic factors in Central Lombok, Indonesia. Asian J Agric 10 (1): g100157. https://doi.org/10.13057/asianjagric/g100157. Tetragonula spp. meliponiculture in Indonesia's dry tropical regions faces significant challenges from biotic and abiotic variables. This comparative study evaluated the responses of Tetragonula sapiens and T. clypearis to temperature, humidity, food availability, and pest occurrence in Central Lombok, Indonesia. Seventy colonies (35 per species) were monitored monthly for five months (July-November 2018) in two shaded demonstration blocks under managed conditions. Colony weight change (ΔW) was quantified as a proxy for colony development, while ambient temperature, relative humidity, and floral abundance were recorded concurrently. Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) analyses explored associations between ΔW and environmental variables at the block level (n = 5 monthly means per species), and separate simple regressions were fitted for each species. Colony weight change showed species-specific associations with environmental variables. Across both species, ambient temperature exhibited a stronger statistical association with ΔW than relative humidity. However, these relationships were based on a very small number of monthly observations and should be interpreted as exploratory. T. clypearis showed steeper negative associations with increasing temperature and decreasing relative humidity than T. sapiens, suggesting greater sensitivity to microclimatic variation within the observed range. In contrast, food availability was more strongly associated with colony weight dynamics in T. sapiens (R² = 0.819) than in T. clypearis (R² = 0.496). Pest inspections identified Psocoptera (Tapinella sp.) in the hives, marking the first documented case of this species in Central Lombok, associated with propolis discoloration and fungal growth. Within the limitations of the small dataset and the block-level design, microclimate and food availability were strongly associated with colony development in Tetragonula spp., during the dry season. These results highlight the importance of integrated floral, microclimate, and pest management for sustainable meliponiculture in Central Lombok.
