Abstract This research was conducted from October to December 2019 in the Peatlands of Kualu Nenas Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, at the Aquaculture Environmental Quality Laboratory of the Fisheries and Maritime Faculty and the Marine Biology Chemistry Laboratory of the Fisheries and Maritime Faculty, Riau University. The purpose of this study was to improve the effect of adding a mixture of human faecal biofertilizer and cow faecal biofertilizer in increasing phytoplankton abundance, growth and survival of catfish in peat ponds. This research method is an experimental method, a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) using 1 factor (biofertilizer mixture) and 5 treatment stages (P0: without giving biofertilizer mixture; P1: giving 20% human feces biofertilizer mixture + 80% bovine feces; P2: giving biofertilizer mixture 40% human feces + 60% cow feces; P3: administration of biofertilizer mixture 60% human feces + 40% cow feces and P4: administration of biofertilizer mixture 80% human feces + 20% cow feces) with 3 replications. The results of this study showed that P4 (giving 80% human feces + 20% cow feces biofertilizer mixture) was the best treatment to increase the abundance of phytoplankton (48,435 ind/L), weight weight (17.30 gram), absolute length (4.40 cm) and survival of catfish (86%) compared to other treatments. Also showed the parameters of water quality in accordance with the survival of catfish. The water quality parameter values at P4 are temperature (26-29oC), ppH (6-7), DO (4.2-6.0 mg/L), free CO2(32.71-26.10 mg/L) , nitrate (3.05 mg/L) and orthoposphate (4.12 mg/L). Keyword: Peat Soil, Biofertilizer Mixture, Phytoplankton, Catfish

Abstract

This research was conducted from February to April 2016 in the ponds of peatsoils at Jl. Petani Nenas Desa Kualu Nenas, Tambang, Kampar, Riau. Analysis of physical and chemical parameters have been done in Laboratory of Environment Quality Aquaculture (EQA), Fisheries and Marine Sciences Faculty, Riau University. Methods of experiment in this researchused with completely randomized design (CRD). Dose of ameliorant will be used as a factor in this research. 6 dose treatmentsare P0: without giving ameliorant, P1: 400 g / m2, P2: 600 g / m2, P3: 800 g / m2, P4: 1000 g / m2, P5: 1200 g / m2, and 3 replications. The results of this research that dose of ameliorant formulation has a very significant influence on weight volume (W/V) of soil, content of organic matter of soil and water turbidity of peat soil pond. The best treatment during the research was a dose of P1 (ameliorant formulation dose of 400 g/m2). Values obtained for the weight of the volume (W/V) of soil, soil organic matter content (KBOT), water temperature, water clarity, turbidity and pH on the treatment P1 are 0.62 g/cm3, 35.47%, 26-310C, 10.00 cm , 19.33 NTU and 5respectively.Keywords: Ameliorant, Peat, Physical and Chemical Parameters of the Peat Soil Ponds

This research using experiment method especially complate random design method. The research was conducted from july to september 2016 in kota masjid village, Kampar district and in laboratorium of aquaculture, faculty of fishiries and marine University of Riau. The highest value of total solid in water surface is in fish pond with range age 6-10 years (12.901,40). The highest value of total solid in floor water is in fish with range age 6-10 years (17.759,66). The highets of fish production pond is in fish range 11-15 yeras (7,46kg/m2). The highest of life extent is in fish pond with range age 15-20 (95,83%) aand the highest of feed conversion is in fish pond with range age 6-10 (2,03). Based on measurement, the relationship of soil quality parameters and water quality parameters is still quite good. Soil quality parameters measured were pH of soil 6,06-6,28 KBOT 1,45-1,84% and BV 1,69-2,46. Water quality parameters measured are temperature 28,71-29,910C,turbidity,29,11-32,29 NTU, pH of water 6,71-6,88, DO 7,35-8.60 mg/L, CO2 18,62-25,51 mg/L, TOM 6,84-7,87 mg/L, alkalinitas 28,91-35,46 mg/L, and hardness 14,43-17,45 mg/L. Keywords: Total solid, Pangasius hypohtalmus, Red Yellow Podsolic, life extent

Abstract

Research of toxicity of Heavy Metal Hg (Mercury) and Sublethal Test to Pangasius hypophtalmus has been conducted on October to November 2016 in Laboratory of Environmental Quality Cultivation of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University of Riau. The objective of this research were measured the concentrations of toxicity for Pangasius hypophtalmus in short time period in controlcondition. In this study, static 96-h acute toxicity test were carried out using Pangasius hypophtalmus as test organisms. Probit analysis using the computer software EPA and graphical method were used to calculate the 96-h LC50 depending on data suitability. Result of the 96-h LC50 and Biological Safety Level of heavy metal Hg were 0,201 mg/L and 0,00201 mg/L. The increase of heavy metal Hg (Mercury) concentrations can be low the absolute growth rate and daily of the Pangasius hypophtalmus larvaeKeywords : Toxicity, Mercury, Sublethal, Pangasius hypophtalmus.
