Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengaji faktor-faktor penumbuh UMK di masyarakat, dengan kasus UMK di wilayah Kota dan Kabupaten Bogor, khususnya UMK yang tergabung dalam Pos Pemberdayaan Keluarga (posdaya). Jumlah responden 100 orang yang tergabung dalam 20 Posdaya, masing-masing 10 Posdaya di Kota Bogor dan 10 Posdaya di Kabupaten Bogor. Responden masing-masing Posdaya berjumlah 5 orang. Penelitian berlangsung dari bulan Juni - September 2015. Pendekatan (metode) yang digunakan adalah metode sustainable business, yang terdiri dari aspek sosial (tingkat pendidikan, akses informasi, motivasi, pengalaman usaha, manfaat bagi lingkungan), aspek ekonomi (pemilikan asset/permodalan, akses pembiayaan, askses bahan baku/barang, pemupukan modal, jaringan usaha), dan aspek lingkungan (penanganan limbah, pemanfaatan libah, perijinan/legalitas usaha, penciptaan wirausaha baru), dengan metode analisis menggunakan metode skoring dengan bobot yang seragam untuk setiap aspek dan masing-masing variabel. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penumbuhan usaha dan bisnis masyarakat adalah faktor sosial, faktor ekonomi, dan faktor lingkungan. Sedangkan dominasi proses dan pola penumbuhan usaha dan bisnis masyarakat di Posdaya dipengaruhi oleh faktor warisan atau turunan. Selanjutnya penumbuhan UMK dipengaruhi oleh motivasi, pengalaman usaha, manfaat bagi masyarakat, pemilikan asset, akses sumber bahan baku, pemupukan modal, jaringan pemasaran, dan penciptaan wirausaha baru. Dalam rangka pengembangan UMK perlu dilakukan pendampingan dan pelatihan bagi pelaku usaha UMK dalam mengakses teknologi, informasi, pasar, dan pembiayaan. Diperlukan upaya untuk meningkatkan motivasi wirausaha di kalangan keluarga dan masyarakat melalui pendampingan, pelatihan dan pemagangan. Fasilitasi pemerintah daerah sangat diharapkan untuk melengkapi aspek perijinan/legalitas usaha dalam meningkatkan dayasaing UMK.

Abstract

The action research purposes are: 1) Studying the characteristics of entrepreneurs and business community members of the social entrepreneurial incubator; 2) Review the business partnership and business community through social business incubator; and 3) Increase the motivation for the business and the business community. This research approach is action research. This study uses a descriptive analysis of the target group and the entrepreneurs and business people in the Situ Udik and Cimanggu I Village Cibungbulang Subdistrict, Bogor District. Based on the results of the study showed that: 1) The characteristics of the micro small businessman at Posdaya dominated the productive age with a high school graduate, pick the dependents of 3-4 people; 2) Partnerships undertaken by Posdaya among others, the regional government through BKP5K Bogor, MT Farm, Dompet Dhuafa Livestock, P2MKP KKP, Koperasi Posdaya Indonesia (KPI), IPB, and BRI; and 3) Training and mentoring for small micro business focused on financial management training for families and businesses, packaging design training, mentoring, and technical assistance.

Abstract

One of the villages in East Halmahera which has been known as anchovy production area is Saramaake Village. Commonly, a community in this village has an income from the anchovy fishery. The product of the anchovy fish is high and various in size, while fish marketing increase and good institution did not establish yet. This activity has been done for 7 months from June 2016January 2017, aimed to improve the product marketing, and institution establishment through training and mentoring. According to the activity has been done, marketing of the dried anchovy which was marketed previously in big size (bulky), it can be marketed in small size with better packaging (100, 200, 500, and 1.000 g) and labelling, while the processed fish can be marketed also in packaging (100 g) and labelling. The institution has been established a namely cooperative small business group (KUB) both for fisherman and fish processing person. Through the marketing development and institution establishment, fishermen can manage their fish product better.

Abstract

Saramaake Village is one of the villages in East Halmahera District known as anchovy (Stolephorus spp) catching area. In this area, production of the anchovy is high and various in size. A community empowerment had been done for 7 months, from June 2016–January 2017, aimed to improve the anchovy product quality and product diversification. Methods used in this activity were training and mentoring. Targets of the activity were fishermen (15 fisherman groups or 60 persons; for fish catch product handling), and fisherman’s wife (2 groups or 11 persons; for product diversification). The activities that had been carried out were product quality improvement (fish drying construction, fish storage room rehabilitation), added value improvement (product diversification), packaging and labelling of the product. Based on the observation, the community had gained a knowledge and technology related to the fish handling and processing. Some communities had applied the technology of manufacturing processed products, as well as doing the packaging and labeling of these products.

Abstract

One of the villages in East Halmahera Regency known as center of anchovy catch production area is Saramaake Village. The fishery community empowerment activities were carried out for 6 months from June to December 2017, aimed at developing institutions in order to improve production management and added value of anchovy. Methods used were training and mentoring conducted by experts and field mentors. The scope of activities includes institutional development, training, and mentoring. Institutional development was begun by lift-net fishermen and fish processing group establishment, developing business group (KUB-Indonesian) and cooperative. The data used was consisted of primary data (based on interview, observation, and mentoring) and secondary data (village profile and fish production). Based on activities carried out, the institution that has been built since 2016 has been upgraded from fishermen and fish processors groups, to business group (KUB), then developed into cooperatives in 2017. The Akesalaka Monge Bahari producer cooperative has obtained a legal entity No.006389/BH/M.KUKM.2/XI/2017. The cooperative was able to implement a better togetherness work to produce fish processing, and wider market development. Through this institutional development, fishermen and marine processors can be better to manage their business independently and be able to increase the bargaining position in the marketing of anchovy and other processed marine products.

Abstract

In Indonesia, poultry farmers are faced with increasing input prices, especially feed prices, even though the feed is the largest component of broiler chicken production costs, while on the other hand broiler chicken prices fluctuate.  This research aimed to analyze cost structure, cost unit, and income broiler chicken on different partnership patterns (PIR and Makloon patterns). The research location is in Sukabumi Regency, which is one of the centers for broiler chicken farming in West Java Province, after Bogor and Ciamis Regencies. The number of respondents was selected based on the partnership pattern, each of which was 130 units using the PIR pattern and 116 units using the Makloon pattern.  The results showed that feed costs were the largest of the broiler chicken production costs in the two patterns, respectively 66.64 % in the PIR and 66.08 % in the Makloon pattern. The second biggest production cost is DOC, 26.10 % on the PIR pattern and 25.51 % on the Maklon pattern. The costs of main inputs are more than 90 % of the total production costs, while the operational costs of farmers are less than 10%. Labor costs are the largest costs incurred by farmers. The operational costs incurred by farmers on the PIR pattern are lower than the Makloon pattern, but the fixed costs are the opposite. Although the cost unit (average costs) of broiler chicken farming with the PIR pattern is higher than the Makloon pattern, but the income for the PIR pattern is higher than the PIR pattern. The difference between the total costs of the PIR pattern and the Makloon pattern is 4.40 %, while the difference in total income is 146.59%.

Abstract

The broiler industry is the livestock industry with the highest development compared to other livestock industries. The structure of the broiler industry, which is oligopoly in nature, causes the bargaining position of livestock companies, especially integrator companies, to be very large in determining input and output prices. In contrast with broiler breeders. Farmers face production risks, as well as input and output price risks. The partnership between livestock companies and breeders is one of the efforts to overcome the problems faced by breeders. The aims of this study were (1) to find out the mechanism of broiler farming partnerships, and (2) Analyze the determinants of selecting contract farming through the nucleus-plasma scheme (PIR) (PIR) or Makloon pattern. The research was located in Sukabumi Regency, which is a broiler production center in West Java Province. The research samples were PIR and Makloon breeders with 30 farmers each, who were PT. X (PIR pattern) and PT. Y (Macloon pattern). Data analysis using the Logit Model. The results of the study show that there are differences in the partnership mechanism between the PIR pattern and the Makloon pattern, especially the provision and cost of financing the main production facilities and operational costs, as well as the components of livestock business income. Livestock income and broiler chicken population are significant determinants in choosing a partnership pattern, but with different parameter signs, the PIR pattern is positive and the Makloon pattern is negative. This means that the higher the broiler livestock business income, the farmer tends to choose the PIR pattern, conversely if the livestock population is getting bigger, the breeder tends to choose the Makloon pattern

Abstract

Produksi biji kakao fermentasi di Kabupaten Luwu Utara oleh petani belum banyak dilakukan, maka dari itu Koperasi Tani Masagena yang bekerjasama dengan lembaga swadaya masyarakat berupaya untuk memasok biji kakao fermentasi untuk industri pengolahan lokal dan meningkatkan keterampilan petani kakao di Kabupaten Luwu Utara. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) menganalisis peranan Koperasi Tani Masagena dalam meningkatkan produksi dan mutu biji kakao di Kabupaten Luwu Utara dan (2) menganalisis strategi apa yang dapat dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan peran tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan matriks Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats (SWOT). Koperasi memproduksi dan memasarkan biji kakao fermentasi, memberikan pelatihan dan penyuluhan, mengelola kebun percontohan, dan mendistribusikan pupuk subsidi secara merata. Strategi menjaga dan mempertahankan adalah strategi terbaik yang sebaiknya dilakukan Koperasi Tani Masagena. Penetrasi pasar dan pengembangan produk merupakan alternatif pendekatan yang dapat dilakukan diantaranya dengan meningkatkan kualitas tanah petani kakao anggota, mendorong praktik pertanian yang resilien, dan mengembangkan wilayah kerja alternatif dengan bekerjasama dengan petani kakao di dataran tinggi Kabupaten Luwu Utara. Dengan peran koperasi dari awal produksi hingga pasca produksi ditambah dengan strategi pengembangan yang sudah dianalisis, maka diharapkan produksi biji kakao fermentasi dapat meningkat.

Abstract

Data menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar konsentrasi PM2.5 dan PM10 telah melebihi standar rata-rata tahunan dari peraturan Indonesia dan Standar WHO. Pencemaran udara menimbulkan dampak negatif pada aspek kesehatan dan kerugian ekonomi. Kebijakan berbasis instrumen ekonomi lingkungan terbukti dapat memberikan penurunan pencemaran di beberapa negara. Indonesia telah mendesain dan menerapkan kebijakan namun perlu beberapa penyempurnaan. Pemerintah Indonesia dapat melakukan penyempurnaan kebijakan berbasis instrumen ekonomi dalam rangka menyelesaikan permasalahan pencemaran udara dengan penerapan insentif trade-in, penerapan pajak karbon dan pasar karbon nasional, serta insentif penerapan teknologi ramah lingkungan bagi PLTU. Pemerintah pusat dan daerah juga perlu memperhatikan resistensi pelaku ekonomi terhadap penerapan kebijakan, kurangnya pengetahuan tentang kerusakan yang terjadi dalam bentuk moneter, kebutuhan untuk mempertahankan status quo dalam masyarakat, "kesenjangan peraturan" antara teoretis dari pajak dan kesulitan praktis dalam legislasi dan implementasi serta ketakutan akan kemungkinan hilangnya efisiensi atau daya saing produk yang dihasilkan oleh perusahaan/produsen.
