Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the impact of work-life balance (X) on loyalty (Y) among Generation Z employees in Bandung. Generation Z tends to prioritize the balance of their personal and work lives. Generation Z is characterized by a lack of loyalty towards their work or company. The banking sector is one of the institutions that Generation Z is interested in. The method used in this research is to distribute questionnaires to 125 respondents and then process them using SPSS 29 with the analysis techniques of classical assumption tests, simple linear analysis, correlation coefficients, coefficients of determination, and hypothesis testing using the T test (partial). The results showed that work-life balance had an effect on increasing the employee loyalty variable by 35.2%; the remaining 67.5% was influenced by other variables or factors. Work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty; it is recommended that further research increase the number of respondents and distribute questionnaires with a wider scope to increase the accuracy of the research results

Abstract

Fenomena keterlibatan kerja dan turnover intention erat kaitannya dengan generasi Y dan Z karena terkenal dengan karakteristik disloyal yang cukup tinggi. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bermaksud untuk membandingkan tingkat keterlibatan kerja dan turnover intention generasi Y dan Z di perusahaan. Metode yang menggunakan deskriptif komparatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 120 responden karyawan generasi Y dan Z dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji independent sample t test dan uji effect size. Hasilnya secara uji independent sample t test menunjukkan keterlibatan kerja terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara generasi Y dan Z. Sedangkan turnover intention menunjukkan tidak adanya perbedaan yang signifikan. Selain itu uji effect size menghasilkan perbedaan yang sangat tinggi pada keterlibatan kerja dan perbedaan yang sedang pada turnover intention. Hal tersebut perlu perusahaan kenali lebih dalam karakteristik kedua generasi tersebut sehingga nantinya perusahaan dapat mengambil tindakan yang tepat untuk membentuk dan mempertahankan keterlibatan kerja serta menurunkan turnover intention. Salah satunya dengan menciptakan fleksibilitas dalam bekerja karena kedua generasi ini cenderung tidak menyukai pekerjaan yang terlalu mengikat.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of developing countries that has been severely affected by Covid-19, especially in economics. This causes Businesses in Indonesia to sluggish, especially micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME’s). Audience of this activity is community of young entrepreneurs called Studepreneur. Studepreneur consist of college students who have business in varous sectors, such as culinary, fashion, plant cultivation, fish cultivation, etc. Initially Studepreneurs were entrepreneurship to fill their spare time, but during this pandemic this entrepreneurial activity also supports the cost of living, especially the education fee. Lack of entreperenurial competences is a challenge for Studepreneurs to maintain and improve their business performance during pandemic. The purpose of this service activity is to give knowledge and insight of entrepreneurial competencies to support their business sustainability. The method used in this cativity is training dan interactive discussion. 11 member of Studepreneurs are join this training. Pre test and Post Test are used to evaluate the training. The evaluation results show that 100% audience more understand entrepreneurial competencies after the training.

Abstract

Bandung is part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in Indonesia, which is expected to become a world Muslim fashion center, but currently, its growth is threatened due to the entry of well-known brands and imported products, while Muslim fashion MSMEs in Bandung City are still far behind. This study aims to determine the level of product innovation and product quality produced by Muslim fashion MSMEs in Bandung City, as well as any matters related to product innovation and product quality that still need to be improved to increase the competitiveness of their businesses. The descriptive analysis method was used to analyze product quality and innovation in 100 Muslim fashion MSMEs in Bandung City, Indonesia. The results of this study found that the larger the business scale, the higher the level of product innovation; the quality level of small businesses is higher than the quality level of micro-businesses, but the quality level of medium enterprises is lower than the quality level of small businesses. The results of this research can be useful for developing product innovation models and product quality for the Muslim fashion industry.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pengalaman dosen Universitas Katolik Parahyangan dalam menyeimbangkan tuntutan pekerjaan akademik dan kehidupan pribadi pascapandemi melalui analisis tematik atas data Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Temuan mengidentifikasi tujuh tema utama, yaitu dampak kesibukan terhadap peran keluarga, rasa syukur terhadap pekerjaan, perasaan bersalah dan pelanggaran batas, keprihatinan keluarga, persepsi terhadap sistem kerja WFO–WFH, kemampuan fokus saat bekerja dari rumah, serta preferensi terhadap kerja hybrid. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa beban kerja akademik, batas peran yang tidak tegas, dan ekspektasi institusional sering memicu konflik peran, sementara dukungan keluarga, fleksibilitas pekerjaan, dan makna profesi berkontribusi pada ketahanan psikologis dosen. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis berupa perlunya kebijakan fleksibilitas kerja yang jelas, pengelolaan beban kerja yang proporsional, dukungan sensitif gender, serta program kesejahteraan dosen untuk menjaga kesehatan mental dan pemulihan diri. Keterbatasan penelitian meliputi jumlah partisipan yang terbatas, satu lokasi penelitian, dan analisis tematik dilakukan dengan menggunakan software Nvivo. Studi selanjutnya disarankan melibatkan lebih banyak institusi, menggunakan kombinasi metode FGD dan wawancara mendalam. Penelitian lanjutan juga perlu mengeksplorasi dinamika WLB berdasarkan gender, jenjang karier, status keluarga, serta meninjau perubahan WLB secara longitudinal mengikuti perkembangan kebijakan kampus.
