Abstract

Laundry waste contains detergent which can cause water pollution because itcontains various kinds of substances that can affect various waterparameters, especially such as TDS (total dissolved solids) and TSS (totalsuspended solids). To reduce these parameters is done by the coagulationprocess which is adding moringa seed powder as coagulant. Moringa seedscan work as a coagulant because they contain an active substance, 4-alfa-4-rhamnosyloxy-benzil-isothiocyanate. The coagulation process was carried outby varying several coagulation parameters such as the size of the coagulantpowder (Al (80-100mesh) and A2 (100mesh), stirring speed (slow, medium,and fast), settling time (15, 45 and 75 minutes) and mass ratio to samplevolume (100 mg against 100, 150 and 200 mL) .The samples used in thecoagulation process were taken by grab sampling technique and thedetermination of TDS and TSS levels was carried out by the gravimetricmethod. The data showed the size of moringa seed powder coagulant, stirringspeed, settling time and coagulant mass ratio with sample volume influencethe% decrease in TDS and TSS levels, optimum conditions on coagulantpowder size> 100 mesh, moderate stirring speed, 15 minute deposition timeand coagulant mass ratio to sample volume 1: 1 ( mg / L), where% decreasein TDS is 74.07% from 270000 mg / L to 70000 mg / L and TSS of 82.14%from 56000 mg / L to 10000 mg / L.

Abstract

Silver metal found in the metal plating industry wastewater, industrial process photography and X-ray film process. Wastes that still lack the metallic ions of silver if thrown in the water without further treatment would endanger the life of organisms, mainly bacteria, plants and living things, as silver metal is a metal that is toxic in dissolved form. One separation technique can be used with supported liquid membrane (SLM) technique. This study aimed to identify the type of solvent and carrier compound to percent transport of silver metal from the feed phase to phase receivers with SLM techniques. This type of research used in this study was an experimental research in the laboratory. Percent transport of metal ions Ag + with techniques SLM had done by varying the type of solvent was n-hexane, kerosene, toluene and chloroform to dissolve the compound carrier TBP and D2EHPA with each concentration 1 M. The concentration of the metal ions Ag+ in phase receiver after separation techniques SLM was measured by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) at a wavelength of 328.1 nm, then the calculated percent metal Ag+ ion transport. Based on the results showed that the percent of the silver metal transport centipede on the use of solvent n-hexane and chloroform, with transport by 33.9% percent. While the percent of the highest transport to the use of compounds that was using the carrier of carrier compound TBP, with transport by 33.9% percent.

Abstract

In general the problem and the main obstacle in the Corn Growers Labuapi area is the lack of effort and a good development in the processed product diversification efforts highly selling corn and economic value. This condition is due Labuapi local farming communities are not familiar with the processing technology. Moreover, public interest in the corn-based food is still low. This is caused by lack of knowledge of some people about the nutritional value of corn, corn display food products less attractive, and the assumption that maize is only consumed by the economically weak. KKN PPM activities that have been carried out aims to increase the diversity of corn refined products through the application of technology diversified development of corn processing products are cheap and easily applied by farmers maize. KKN-PPM have been conducted for 3 months in the second semester of the academic year 2016. The activities that have been undertaken include: increased KKN-PPM on the student, training and assistance directly to the corn farmers in the form of diversified products such as milk processed maize corn, noodles corn, corn and soybean corn dodol. Based on the results of the training has been done obtained a level of understanding and skills of the communities (farmers corn) in the village of telagawaru satisfactory, while the quality of the corn processed products produced successful or maximum.

Abstract

Tujuan pelaksanaan program pengabdian ini adalah a) Meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang seluk beluk penulisan karya ilmiah bagi guru-guru SMPN 1 Gunungsari, b) Meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karya ilmiah bagi guru-guru SMPN 1 Gunungsari. Kegiatan ini direncanakan selama tiga bulan dengan sasaran penyuluhan dan pemberian pelatihan keterampilan ini adalah guru-guru di SMPN 1 Gunungsari. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yang akan dilakukan yaitu: 1) Ceramah; 2) Diskusi; dan 3) Praktek Menulis. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan program telah tercapai dengan baik sesuai dengan harapan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari antusiasnya para guru dalam mengikuti seluruh kegiatan pelatihan, baik dalam pemberian materi maupun praktek langsung dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Selain itu, para guru juga memperlihatkan antusiasnya ketika melakukan diskusi. Para peserta pelatihan merasakan manfaat program ini dari sisi pengetahuan maupun teknis sehingga para peserta dapat menyiapkan tulisan mereka menjadi artikel yang siap dipublikasikan di jurnal yang dituju. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa optimalisasi peningkatan profesionalisme guru-guru melalui pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan harapan.Optimization of Teacher Professionalism Enhancement through Training on Writing Scientific PapersAbstractThe objectives of the implementation of this service program are a) Increase knowledge about the ins and outs of writing scientific papers for SMPN 1 Gunungsari teachers, b) Improve the ability to write scientific papers for SMPN 1 Gunungsari teachers. This activity is planned for three months with the target of counseling and providing training for these skills for teachers at SMPN 1 Gunungsari. The methods of implementing the activities to be carried out are: 1) Lecture; 2) Discussion; and 3) Writing Practice. Based on the results of the implementation of community service activities, it shows that the success of the program has been achieved properly as expected. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the teachers in participating in all training activities, both in providing material and direct practice in writing scientific papers. Besides that, the teachers also showed their enthusiasm when holding discussions. The training participants felt the benefits of this program from both a knowledge and technical perspective so that the participants could prepare their writing into articles that were ready to be published in the intended journal. Thus, it can be concluded that the optimization of the increase in professionalism of teachers through training in writing scientific papers is going well as expected.

Abstract

Target khusus yang ingin dicapai melalui kegiatan Program KKN-PPM  ini adalah: (a) meminimalisir limbah plastik yang sulit terurai khususnya di Gunungsari Kabupaten Lombok Barat, (b) meningkatkan efisiensi biaya pengelolaan sampah, (c) melakukan perbaikan pada sistem teknologi pengolahan sampah melalui pengolahan sampah plastik menggunakan Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP), (d) meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat agar lebih bersemangat dalam melakukan pengolahan sampah plastik menggunakan Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP), (e) membangun kemitraan dan kerjasama yang efektif antara Perguruan Tinggi, Pemerintah Daerah dan masyarakat di Gunungsari Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Kegiatan KKN-PPM ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan pada semester genap tahun akademik 2019/2020. Adapun metode kegiatan KKN-PPM ini adalah metode workshop dalam bentuk pelatihan dan pendampingan. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan yang telah dilakukan didapatkan tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat di Desa Gunungsari terkait pengolahan sampah plastik menjadi BBM masih kurang sehingga perlu adanya pendampingan dalam pengolahan sampah plastik menjadi BBM melalui PoGREP.Community Empowerment through Training on Plastic Waste Management Using Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po Grep) in Gunungsari, West Lombok RegencyAbstractSpecific targets to be achieved through the KKN-PPM Program activities are: (a) minimizing plastic waste that is difficult to decompose, especially in Gunungsari, West Lombok Regency, (b) increasing the efficiency of waste management costs, (c) making improvements to the waste processing technology system through processing plastic waste using Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP), (d) increasing community participation to be more enthusiastic in processing plastic waste using Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP), (e) building effective partnerships and cooperation between Universities, Local Government and the community in Gunungsari, West Lombok Regency. This KKN-PPM activity was carried out for 3 months in the even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. The KKN-PPM activity method is a workshop method in the form of training and mentoring. Based on the results of the training that has been carried out, it is found that the level of understanding and skills of the people in Gunungsari Village regarding processing plastic waste into fuel is still lacking so there is a need for assistance in processing plastic waste into BBM through PoGREP.

Abstract

Permasalahan dan kendala utama yang dihadapi oleh guru-guru di SMPN 1 Batulayar adalah tidak tersedianya media pembelajaran online, keterbatasan pengetahuan tentang teknologi pembuatan media pembelajaran online serta ditambah lagi dengan metode pengajaran yang masih bertumpu pada komunikasi satu arah yang menyebabkan siswa mudah bosan dan kesulitan memahami isi pengajaran. Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan skill para guru di SMPN 1 Batulayar dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran online. PKM dilaksanakan menggunakan metode transfer pengetahuan melalui tahapan-tahapan penyajian materi, praktek dan pendampingan pembuatan media. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dari kegiatan pelatihan dan penugasan yang diberikan saat pelatihan dapat diketahui semua peserta mampu membuat kelas baru, mengupload bahan ajar dalam bentuk file, link dan video, menyimpan bahan ajar dalam layanan Google Drive, mengundang siswa untuk bergabung di kelas. Sedangkan kendala selama pelatihan antara lain belum seluruh siswa memiliki akun Gmail sehingga ini menjadi bagian tugas para guru untuk mengarahkan siswa membuat akun Gmail. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan yang dilaksanakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi transfer pengetahuan tentang kemampuan dan skill dalam membuat media pembelajaran online menggunakan aplikasi Google Classroom yang merupakan salah satu aplikasi pendukung pembelajaran daring.Training on Making Online Learning Media for Teachers at SMPN 1 Batulayar, West Lombok RegencyAbstractThe main problems and obstacles faced by teachers at SMPN 1 Batulayar are the unavailability of online learning media, limited knowledge of online learning media creation technology and added with teaching methods that still rely on one-way communication which causes students to easily get bored and have difficulty understanding teaching content. This PKM activities aimed to improve the abilities and skills of teachers at SMPN 1 Batulayar in making online learning media. PKM is carried out using the knowledge transfer method through the stages of presenting material, practice and assistance in making media. Based on the results of the analysis of the training activities and assignments given during the training, it can be seen that all participants are able to create new classes, upload teaching materials in the form of files, links and videos, save teaching materials in the Google Drive service, invite students to join the class. Meanwhile, the obstacles during the training included that not all students had Gmail accounts, so this was part of the teachers' duties to direct students to create Gmail accounts. Based on the results of the activities carried out, it can be concluded that there is a transfer of knowledge about abilities and skills in making online learning media using the Google Classroom application, which is one of the supporting applications for online learning.

Abstract

Potensi energi terbarukan adalah mengubah air laut menjadi gas hidrogen yang diproduksi melalui proses elektrolisis. Elektrolisis adalah proses pemisahan molekul air (H2O) menjadi gas hidrogen (H2) dan oksigen (O2) dengan mengalirkan arus listrik. Energi gas hidrogen dari air laut tidak menyebabkan polusi, ringan dan sustainable sehingga dapat menjadi salah satu solusi terhadap pengurangan pemanasan global. Ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi proses elektrolisis yaitu penggunaan katalisator dan luas permukaan elektroda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh jumlah elektroda dan jenis katalis terhadap jumlah gas hidrogen yang diperoleh melaui proses elektrolisis air laut. Proses elektrolisis dilakukan dengan memvariasikan jumlah elektroda mulai dari 2,4,6,8 dan 10, serta memvariasikan jenis katalis yang digunakan yaitu HCl, HNO3, dan H2SO4. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah elektroda berbanding lurus dengan produksi gas hidrogen massa tertinggi dihasilkan pada jumlah 10 plat elektoda dengan massa sebesar 6,9966 gr. Penambahan katalis pada elektrolisis, massa gas hidrogen tertinggi yang dihasilkan adalah 6,9966 gr pada konsentrasi 0,1 M untuk H2SO4, katalis HCl massa gas hidrogen yang dihasilkan 6,6633 gr pada konsentrasi 0,1 M, dan katalis HNO3 massa gas hidrogen yang dihasilkan 5,6300 gr. Jenis katalis yang optimal digunakan pada proses elektrolisis air laut yaitu H2SO4.

Abstract

This study aims to produce and determine the feasibility of interactive multimedia salt hydrolysis to grow students' information literacy skills. This research is a development research which includes 10 stages of implementation, namely potential and problems, collecting information, product design, design validation, design revision, product trial, product revision, usage trial, product revision, and bulk product. However, this study only reached the stage of product revision. The interactive multimedia produced was then validated by 2 expert lecturers in the field of chemistry education, and for practitioner tests by 1 chemistry teacher and then a limited group trial was carried out involving 15 students of SMA Negeri 1 Batulayar. Based on the assessment of two lecturers as validators getting an average of 91,2% with a very decent category, the practitioner test results got a percentage of 94.3% with a very decent category, and the results of a limited group trial by 15 students got an average percentage of assessments for ease, readability, display, material, and motivation of 88.6% with good categories. So it can be concluded that the product of interactive multimedia development of salt hydrolysis has met the feasibility aspect and this medium can be used in learning on salt hydrolysis material.

Abstract

The main problems and obstacles faced by water spinach farmers in the Lingsar area are the limited knowledge of farmers in recognizing vegetable market behavior so that farmers rely heavily on traders or collectors in the Lingsar area, inefficient marketing, and skills to develop kale vegetable products into products. Processed products that have a longer shelf life, have economic value, and have quality and properties as food supplements are not yet known by the farming community in the Lingsar area, even though the ingredients of kale are a source of vegetable protein and fiber which are beneficial for body metabolism. This service activity aims to increase understanding of kale farmers in the processed products of kale into kale noodles. This service activity has been carried out for 1 month. The methods of this service include: delivery of material, direct training and practice. Delivery of material about the introduction of chemical composition, nutritional content and functional food elements (added value) in kale. Training and hands-on practice in making kale noodles as an innovative product of kale vegetables to train the skills of kale farmers in Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency. Based on the evaluation results after the training, it showed that most of the participants gained new understanding and knowledge about making noodles, especially the addition of water spinach as an added ingredient in vegetable protein. So, it can be concluded that training in making kale noodles can increase understanding of kale farmers in processing kale products.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi petani jagung di wilayah Labuapi adalah mereka belum terbiasa dengan teknik pengolahan jagung, karena upaya untuk memberikan nilai tambah pada produk jagung dan minat masyarakat terhadap pangan berbahan dasar jagung masih rendah. Alasannya antara lain kurangnya pengetahuan  tentang nilai gizi jagung, tampilan makanan berbahan jagung yang tidak menarik, dan adanya anggapan bahwa  hanya  masyarakat ekonomi lemah yang boleh mengonsumsi jagung. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah produk jagung dengan memanfaatkan teknologi produksi dodol jagung yang hemat biaya dan mudah digunakan oleh petani jagung. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan selama satu bulan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022 dengan melibatkan mitra dari tiga desa yakni Desa Telagawaru, Desa Gubuq Aida dan Desa Paok Kambut. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode workshop berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan. Kegiatan yang  dilakukan antara lain: persiapan, pelatihan dan pendampingan  langsung  tahapan produksi produk olahan jagung berupa dodol jagung. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan yang dilakukan diperoleh skor pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat (petani jagung) desa Telagawaru sebesar 80%, desa  Gubuq Aida sebesar 84% dan desa Paok Kambut sebesar 78% dengan kategori baik dan kompeten, sedangkan hasil uji organoleptik dodol jagung pada ketiga desa secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori layak dikonsumsi dan disukai  disukai masyarakat. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan produksi dodol jagung dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah  pasca panen jagung. This service activity aims to increase the added value of corn products by utilizing corn dodol production technology that is cost-effective and easy to use by corn farmers. This service activity was carried out for one month in the even semester of the 2022 academic year by involving partners from three villages, namely Telagawaru Village, Gubuq Aida Village and Paok Kambut Village. The method used is a workshop method in the form of training and mentoring. Based on the results of the training conducted, the score of understanding and skills of the community (corn farmers) of Telagawaru village was 80%, Gubuq Aida village was 84% and Paok Kambut village was 78% in the good and competent category, while the results of the corn dodol organoleptic test in the three villages as a whole were in the category of suitable for consumption and liked by the community. Thus, it can be concluded that corn dodol production training activities can be used as an alternative to increase the added value of corn post-harvest.
