Abstract

The aim of the research is to reconstruct the original science of the community into scientific science in the product of lontong tuyuhan located in Rembang Regency, Pancur District, Jeruk Village. The output of this research is the result of the reconstruction of the community's original science into scientific science in the product of lontong tuyuhan. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method through in-deepness interviews, firsthand observation, and documentation studies of making lontong tuyuhan. Data processing techniques include analysis, verification, reconstructing the community's original science into scientific science, and linking it with science learning competency standards. The results of this study are several concepts of indigenous knowledge of science in the manufacture of lontong tuyuhan which can be reconstructed into scientific science and integrated into science learning in schools, both senior high school, junior high school, and elementary school

Abstract

Protecting migrant workers' right to social security is essential, not only to ensure equality of treatment in social security for migrant workers but also to extend social security coverage to currently unprotected populations. Migrant workers have become one of the pillars of national economic growth and contributed significantly to state revenues and economic productivity, through high remittances. Therefore, the organizers of employment social security need to increase the probability of migrant workers becoming BPJS Employment participants. By using the logistic regression method and Sakernas data for August 2021, it was found that migrant workers with work contracts and BPJS for health membership have a higher tendency to become participants in employment social security. Recommendations for membership extension for migrant workers can be made with several alternatives such as, (1) justifying or adjusting payment schemes for migrant workers who work in the informal sector abroad (2) encouraging the expansion of the coverage of migrant workers, BPJS for Employment can carry out socialization of the program by collaborating with BP2TKI and Indonesian Migrant Worker Placement Agency (P3MI) (3) It is necessary to encourage employers to register their workers in employment social security, through document requirements for the distribution of migrant workers.

Abstract

Abstrak. The colloid system is one of the chemical materials that contains many concepts and is related to everyday life, so that students still find it difficult to understand. The aim of this research is to evolve a module electronic based on problem solving integrated ethnochemistry on colloid system. The exploration method applied is Research and Development (R & D) with a 4D research design modified into 3D (define, design, and develop). Data was collected using interview techniques, expert validation, user response questionnaires, and implementation observation sheets. The results of the feasibility assessment by the expert validator were 86.73% with a very feasible category. The results of the readability, practicality, and student answers to the e-module each attained a score of 87.9%; 91.3%; and 86.9% in the veritably practicable category. The results of the learning implementation test using the e-module obtained a score of 96.4% in the very well implemented category. The conclusion of this exploration is that the expansion of an e-module based on problem solving integrated ethnochemistry is very feasible to use and gets a positive response by users to the e-module that has been evolved.

Abstract

Senyawa kurkumin telah dimanfaatkan dalam berbagai bidang, salah satunya dibidang fotovoltaik sebagai pemanen energi matahari yang akan dikonversi menjadi energi listrik. Keterbatasan dari senyawa ini adalah tidak stabil terhadap cahaya matahari karena adanya gugus keton dan gugus hidroksil. Kedua elektron bebas pada gugus ini dapat berinteraksi dengan logam membentuk senyawa kompleks. Pada penelitian ini, pengaruh ion logam Cu2+ terhadap sistem kristal dan stabilitas dikaji. Kurkumin yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kurkumin komersial yang telah dipurifikasi. Kurkumin dalam pelarut methanol dilarutkan bersama CuSO4 dengan perbandingan mol 1:2. Setelah campuran di refluks kemudian diperoleh endapan dengan warna kuning tua. Endapan yang telah dikeringkan kemudian dikarakterisasi menggunakan spektrofotometer XRD, FT-IR, dan UV-Vis. Tidak banyak perubahan yang teramati pada pola difraksi sinar-X, IR maupun UV-Vis. Sedikit pergeseran teramati mengindikasikan interaksi antara kurkumin dengan Cu2+. Pengujian fotostabilitas dilakukan dengan melarutkan senyawa kurkumin dan Cu2+-kurkumin dalam dimetilsulfoksida (DMSO) dimasukan dalam ruang dengan sumber lampu UV 10 watt. Pengamatan dilakukan selama 10 hari dan diukur absorbansi maksimum setiap satu hari menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Hasil analisis absorbansi menunjukkan terjadi pergeseran dan puncak baru pada senyawa kompleks pada panjang gelombang diatas 500 nm. Melalui perhitungan menggunakan orde 0, senyawa kurkumin dan Cu2+-kurkumin akan terdegradasi seluruhnya (absorbansi sama dengan 0) pada hari ke-16 dan ke-55. Kata Kunci: Senyawa analog kurkumin; Cu2+-kurkumin; Fotostabilitas; tetapan laju degradasi.

Abstract

Polipirol merupakan polimer konduktif heterosiklik bermuatan positif yang mengandung nitrogen dalam bentuk teroksidasi, memiliki sifat konduktif, mudah disintesis dan stabilitas yang baik pada suhu kamar. Beberapa aplikasi telah dilaporkan, salah satunya digunakan untuk sensor pH. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode polimerisasi fase uap, dimana monomer diperkenalkan ke substrat berlapis oksidan dalam bentuk uap. Penelitian ini menggunakan kertas foto termodifikasi polipirol dengan oksidator FeCl3, KMnO4 dan dopan HCl. Untuk mengetahui aktivitas sensor pH, dilakukan metode siklik voltametri. Hasil terbaik menggunakan oksidan FeCl3 dan dopan HCl, sedangkan dengan oksidan KMnO4, kestabilan polipirol di permukaan kertas kurang. Dengan dopan HCl memiliki nilai resistivitas yang lebih rendah dibandingkan tanpa dopan HCl. Elektroda dari kertas foto termodifikasi polipirol ini mampu mendeteksi aktivitas sensor pH dalam pH asam (rendah) dengan range kisaran resistivitas yaitu sebesar 1 x 10-5 sampai dengan 5 x 10-5. Hasil pengujian SEM diamati pada permukaan kertas foto sebelum polimerisasi berpori dan tidak merata, sedangkan setelah polimerisasi teramati  berkurangnya kekasaran permukaan pada kertas.

Abstract

Research involving high school students or equivalent has been in great demand in recent years. Various ministries , government institutions and universities have launched various competitive research programs and events competition based research for SMA/MA level. Students and teachers at MAN 1 Semarang City have so far experienced many difficulties in designing competitive research. The achievements made by MAN 1 Semarang City students in the field of research are still very limited. The limited research experience of accompanying teachers could also be one of the causes. Collaboration with universities as institutions that not only provide education and teaching, but also research development, is a must. Therefore, assistance in designing research that is worthy of being competed in prestigious research competitions by the Semarang State University community service team is very important. Mentoring activities are carried out in the fields of science, technology and social humanities, involving Semarang State University research experts from both fields of study. This activity involved 31 students from MAN 1 Semarang City who were members of the madrasa research program along with 9 research assistant teachers from various fields of science. Activities include assistance in several phases of competitive research design, namely creating research ideas, drafting and finalizing research designs. This activity received a very good response and was seen as being able to help students and research assistant teachers at MAN 1 Semarang City in generating brilliant research ideas with novelty or novelty and high usefulness for the advancement of science and technology. A total of three proposal titles were produced from this activity ; one title in the field of social and human affairs and two titles in the field of science and technology. The obstacles in implementing mentoring are felt by teachers and students who have to spare time between busy teaching and learning activities at madrasas. The implementing team expressed its appreciation to the research supervisors and students who had successfully prepared research proposals to the final stage.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. This investigation delineates the fabrication, comprehensive characterization, and electrochemical evaluation of a one-dimensional Cobalt-based Metal-Organic Framework (Co-MOFs), constructed from 4,4’-Bipyridine ligands and Cobalt (II) ions. The study aimed to perfect the synthesis protocol, elucidate the structural and compositional attributes of the resultant MOF, and probe its electrochemical performance. Utilizing the reflux method, renowned for its efficacy and eco-compatibility, we synthesized the MOF and affirmed its formation through a suite of analytical techniques, including Infrared (IR) spectroscopy, Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), and electrical conductivity measurements. The synthesized Co-MOFs, chemically notated as [Co2(4,4'-bpy)2(SO4)(H2O)2]SO4·H2O, manifested as a one-dimensional coordination polymer. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis unveiled its monoclinic crystallinity within the C2 space group. Electrochemical characterization uncovered a reversible redox system, evidenced by a robust peak current ratio (IPa/IPc = 7.5), indicative of efficient electron transfer processes. Furthermore, the Co-MOFs significantly augmented the kinetics of the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in an alkaline aqueous solution, highlighting its potential as a superior catalyst in energy-related electrochemical applications. This work not only contributes to the field of MOF synthesis but also sets the stage for future explorations into their practical applications in sustainable energy systems. Abstract

Laboratory instrumentation needs to be comprehensively understood by researchers to be used effectively, efficiently, and safely. This knowledge and competence have the potential to generate high-quality research topics. This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and competence of the academic community of MAN 2 Kudus in operating laboratory instruments to support high-quality research, as well as optimizing the school's assets for education and research. The methods employed in this community service include: 1) observation, 2) identification of laboratory instrumentation, 3) preparation and monitoring of laboratory instrumentation, and 4) workshops and mentoring. The implementation of the community service program is carried out in stages with a systematic approach, covering: explaining the basic concepts of instrument usage and data analysis methods, demonstrating the use of instruments, hands-on practice, evaluation and feedback, documentation and references, and strengthening materials related to soft skills and hard skills for conducting research in the laboratory. The assessment results show that the skills in operating laboratory instrumentation of the academic community of MAN 2 Kudus have improved. The workshops and mentoring activities have broadened the participants' insights in preparing efficient, safe, and applicable research. Through this community service, it is hoped that the soft skills and hard skills acquired by the academic community can be consistently developed and maintained to enhance the branding value of MAN 2 Kudus in future Olympiads and scientific writing competitions.

Abstract

Kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, dan profesionalitas seorang guru sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan sumber daya manusia di Indonesia. Kompetensi guru berpengaruh positif terhadap kualitas pendidikan melalui pengajaran yang efektif dan hasil belajar siswa yang lebih baik. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode: (1) observasi, (2) pelatihan guru melalui workshop dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD), dan (3) implementasi evaluasi secara daring dan luring. Workshop dan FGD ini membahas sistem pelatihan profesionalitas guru yang diterapkan di Korea Selatan, Program Profesi Guru (PPG), standar kompetensi guru, dan sistem penilaian guru di Indonesia. Kegiatan ini memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman bagi guru untuk menjadi lebih kompeten. Guru yang kompeten harus memahami pengetahuan mengajar, pedagogik, konteks pembelajaran, efikasi diri, dan mampu menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Dari kegiatan ini diketahui bahwa belum ada metode evaluasi guru yang memadai untuk diadaptasi. Oleh karena itu, disarankan adanya skema dari pemangku kepentingan untuk melakukan supervisi terkait metode evaluasi kompetensi guru.

Abstract

Desa Rejosari merupakan salah satu desa di Kecamatan Pringsurat, Kabupaten Temanggung yang sebagian masyarakatnya hidup sebagai petani dan peternak kambing. Salah satu kelompok perternak kambing di desa tersebut adalah Kelompok Peternak Kambing Rejomulyo. Para peternak belum memanfaatkan limbah pakan ternak (biomassa) dan kotoran kambing menjadi pupuk yang bernilai jual tinggi, sehingga menyebabkan kondisi kandang yang kotor dan kurang sehat. Tim Pengabdian masyarakat Universitas Negeri Semarang melalui kegiatan PKM memberikan edukasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan kepada masyarakat peternak untuk mengolah limbah biomassa dan kotoran kambing menjadi pupuk kompos yang bernilai jual tinggi. Metode kegiatan dilakukan dengan kegiatan edukasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan ini masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah biomassa dan kotoran kambing menjadi pupuk yang berkualitas. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan adalah dihasilkannya pupuk yang berkualitas dan bisa secara langsung digunakan para petani untuk memupuk tanaman yang ada di kebun dan ladang.
