Abstract

Abstract

Jakarta Kota Tua's (old town) Area is a historical area that located in Capital City of Indonesia, namely Jakarta which continues to degrade in both physical and nonphysical ways, resulting in an unfavorable image and an unappealing location, one of which is the lack of pedestrian facilities in the Kota Tua area, not to mention the fact that during the holidays, pedestrians are jammed with street vendors, making it impossible for pedestrians to walk in the area around the Old Town Area. Furthermore, there are still neglected facilities such as trash cans and bus stations where passengers can wait for buses that are not fit for their intended purpose. This research aims to find out the walkibility based on existing condition in the Jakarta Kota Tua area. The analytical method that uses in this research is descriptive analysis based on pedestrian path characteristic walkability index analysis. According to the calculation results, 1st zone is included in the waiting to walk category with a walkscore value of 56.3 and there are segments that have the lowest scores, namely segments 12 A and 12 B. Meanwhile, 2nd zone is included in the category of walk on your own risk because it has a walks score of 48,31 which is below the score of 1st zone or in other words it is necessary to improve in terms of quality and quantity as well as control for side barriers which aim to ensure that visitors or pedestrians are not disturbed and feel comfortable during their activities.

Abstract

According to NAWACITA (Indonesia’s 9 years long plans), frontier region has priority to be developed because it is characterized as underdeveloped region which has inadequate infrastructures and underprivileged families. The study aims to assess the condition of livelihood assets in the frontier region. Livelihood assets are assets that local people use for living. This research employed descriptive statistical analysis which the data was derived from questionnaire, interview, and observation. Variables to assess the condition of assets were from financial livelihood asset, human asset, social asses, and natural asses. The result is drawn on a pie chart and allowed assets to clearly identify. The results stated that the highest asset is from human asset i.e. sub variable local ecological knowledge ( 85%) which is the knowledge of farming. Therefore, the lowest asset also from human assets i.e. access for education and additional skills. Local people are having difficulties to access the education center just like in Hillbilly Merau and Serangkang because the way to reach there still rocky and rough (undeveloped). Local skills in the village of Entikong are not fully mastered yet but people take special attention in the field of crafts.

Abstract

The Bintaro Jaya CBD area is located in South Tangerang City, Banten, which is dominated by land use trade and services. Walking has become a popular mode because of the distance between adjacent land uses, especially since the implementation of CFD in the Bintaro Jaya CBD area. However, there are problems with the infrastructure and facilities for pedestrian paths that are still uneven, so there is a need for an arrangement of pedestrian paths in the Bintaro Jaya CBD area. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the pedestrian path, determine the level of walkability, and select the direction of the arrangement of pedestrian paths based on the concept of walkability in the Bintato Jaya CBD area using the analysis method of pedestrian path characteristics, analysis of the level of pedestrian paths, priority analysis of lane arrangement criteria. Pedestrians using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, and analysis of the relationship between the results of the walkability level and the priority results of the pedestrian path arrangement criteria. The results of this study indicate that the lowest walkability score is in segment 3A with a value of 37.0 or not walkable and the walkability score for one area is 51.7 or waiting to walk. Based on the analysis of the results of the walkability level with the priority results of the pedestrian path arrangement criteria, segment 3A has a priority ranking of I or the first to be prioritized for the pedestrian path arrangement because it has a multiplication value of the total walkability value with the lowest weight of AHP results with a value of 20.13 and criteria infrastructure for the group with special needs has a priority ranking of I or the first to prioritize its arrangement because it has the lowest average score of 1.18.
