Abstract

Pushover analysis as known as non-linear static analysis is one of the structural analysis procedures that is widely used in seismic assessment and performance evaluation of existing structures . In the nonlinear analysis procedure, the behavior of the structure due to external loads acting can be seen from the status of the joints formed. One of the joint models that is less commonly used in non-linear static analysis is the fiber hinge joint modeling. Fiber hinge is a nonlinear joint model that can consider distributed plasticity along with its structural elements. Study this learn possibility difference in results analysis use fiber hinge because properties component specified nonlinear _ researcher . In order to study the impact of the use of joint modeling variations in nonlinear analysis, a regular reinforced concrete structure model with 4 height variations namely 3, 4, 5, and 6 floors which were analyzed with two different types of joint modeling. Fiber hinges and conventional lumped hinges will be defined in the cross section. Research results show that the use of fiber hinge in each model produces score relative moment _ small however given rotation _ relatively more big than lumped hinge as well relative base shear value small than lumped hinges. Considering the fiber hinge is method that gives state of natural response so that deformation globally generated _ more big than lumped hinges. This thing take effect to determination structure performance value.

Abstract

Kajian pemanfaatan model-model Penilaian Visual Cepat (Rapid Visual Screening) telah marak dilakukan. Banyak negara telah mengadopsi model-model PVC untuk mengasesmen bangunan-bangunan di wilayah masing-masing. Di antara model-model PVC tersebut adalah model makroseismik dan model FEMA P-154. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perbandingan antara model makroseismik serta model FEMPA P-154 pada tahap level 1 dan level 2. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, maka dilakukan analisis terhadap empat belas gedung pemerintah yang berlokasi di Kabupaten Siak menggunakan model makroseismik maupun model FEMA P-154 level 1 dan level 2. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun model makroseismik dan model FEMA P-154 keduanya merupakan alat atau media untuk melakukan analisis Penilaian Visual Cepat (Rapid Visual Screening) akan tetapi model makroseismik lebih direkomendasikan untuk digunakan dalam proses PVC karena keakuratannya berdasarkan Indeks Resiko Bencana Indonesia (2019) dan kesederhanaan formular analisisnya

Abstract

The research aims to obtain the characteristic of concrete using Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE) as substitute material on normal concrete. It is focused on compressive strength, setting time, and flexure strength. The percentage of SBE it used are 0%, 2%, and 4% of the cement weight. The result show SBE is not suitable to be a cement replacement because it show the decrease of compressive and flexure strength. But the setting time on SBE is slower than 0% SBE substitution and need more time to harden than normal concrete.Keywords : Spent Bleaching Earth, setting time, compressive strength, flexure strength

Abstract

The waste of palm know as waste of palm oil extraction, which is recently available abundantly. One of efforts in using this waste material is as additive in paving block industry. This research presents the efficiency of waste of palm oil extraction as an additive material of paving block at optimum mix composition regarding the paving block compressive strength, absorption and resistance to chemicals.The composition of waste of palm oil extraction was 0%, 2,5%, 5%, 7,5%, 10% and 12,5% by weight of cement. Research results showed that the use of waste of palm oil extraction as an additive affect the quality of the paving block. The best composition of paving block in this research was the amount of waste of palm oil extraction can be added to paving block as much as 7,5%. It was shown from the value of compressive strength of 7, 14, and 28 days increased to reach 18,3 MPa, water absorption is 5,9%, and resistant to sodium sulfate. Based on SNI 03-0691-1996, paving block generated from this treatment fitted in C quality of paving block and can be used for parking area.Keywords: waste of palm oil extraction, paving block

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to utilize the waste of palm oil with investigating the mechanical properties. The waste materials are the result of palm oil extraction. The experiment conducted to investigate the effect of this material over compressive strength, absorption, porosity, and setting time. The content of palm oil waste which added to normal concrete are varieties which are 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% and 10% of the weight of cement. The porosity test, absorption test and compressive test were performed at ages 7, 14 and 28 days for each test while curing with ordinary water. The results showed that the content of palm oil waste 2%, 4% and 6% decrease the compressive strength. Otherwise the addition of 8% and 10% increase the compressive strength. The absorption and porosity test value increase along with increase the content of palm oil using. The setting time with adding of palm oil waste is faster, rather than normal concrete. In conclusion, utilization of the waste of palm oil for concrete mixture can be done.Keyword: Concrete, Waste of Palm Oil, Extraction, Compressive strength, Porosity, Setting time

Abstract

Desa Aur Sati merupakan desa yang terletak di Kecamatan Tambang, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau. Desa ini memiliki potensi yang besar karena di wilayahnya terdapat objek wisata Danau Bokuok. Permasalahannya desa ini belum memiliki peta desa, padahal peta desa merupakan salah satu unsur penting yang harus dimiliki oleh sebuah desa untuk perencanaan pembangunan desa. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk melakukan pembuatan peta desa yang akurat, komplit dan reperesentatif yang memberikan gambaran secara menyeluruh dari desa. Tahapan yang digunakan dalam pembuatan peta desa ini meliputi survey pendahuluan, survey pelaksanaan, pengolahan data, verifikasi data, finalisasi peta desa, pencetakan peta desa dan penyerahan cetak peta desa. Kegiatan proses pembuatan peta desa ini berjalan dengan lancar dan mendapatkan antusias dari perangkat desa dan masyarakat desa. Hasil peta desa yang dibuat telah terselesaikan dengan baik dimana terdapat gambaran mengenai batas-batas desa, pembagian dusun, informasi jalan, danau, sungai dan bangunan-bangunan lainnya secara akurat dan relevan. Peta desa ini diharapkan dapat memberikan masyarakat Desa Desa Aur Sati Kecamatan Tambang, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau kemudahan dalam menentukan prioritas pembangunan dan mempermudah dalam mendeteksi potensi yang ada di desa.

Abstract

Gedung yang berfungsi sebagai sarana gedung pertemuan dan arena olaraga pada umumnya mempunya bentangan rangka atap yang besar. Pada bentang atap dengan ukuran 34 m x 39 m sebagai studi kasus yang ditinjau dibutuhkan sistem struktur bentang lebar yang cocok untuk diterapkan. Oleh karena itu, teknologi struktural seperti space frame atau struktur baja yang kuat sering digunakan untuk mencapai bentang lebar yang diinginkan dalam bangunan tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan perancangan dimensi batang-batang space frame yang cocok untuk digunakan dan melihat kemampuan struktur space frame tersebut mampu menahan beban dengan kombinasi pembebanan. Perhitungan struktur space frame mengacu pada peraturan LRFD dengan SNI 1729: 2020, peraturan gempa menggunakan SNI 1726: 2019, dan pembebanan menggunakan SNI 1727: 2020. Optimasi perancangan dilakukan dengan mengecilkan dimensi batang pipa dari keadaan perancangan awal. Hasil optimasi didapatkan diameter 2,5 inci dapat dijadikan 2 inci; diameter 3 inci menjadi 2,5 inci; diameter 4 inci menjadi 3 inci; dan diameter 6 inci menjadi 5 inci. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa semua diameter yang dirancang telah memenuhi syarat kekuatan batang tarik dan/atau batang tekan terhadap gaya dalam atau beban ultimate yang terjadi pada struktur space frame.

Abstract

Casting concrete underwater is concrete used for structural work underwater. The main problem in underwater casting is the separation of concrete constituent materials. Casting underwater also does not involve compaction. This study will examine the effect of peat water on the physical properties of underwater cast concrete. The additive used in this study is in liquid form, with a mixture of anti-washout material 1.8% and self-compacting concrete 5% to the weight of cement. The obtained slump flow value is 470 mm. The results of volume weight testing on variations of clean water mixtures immersed in clean water for seven days are 2248,14 kg/m3 and 2258,96 kg/m3 for 28 days, variations of clean water mixtures immersed in peat water for seven days are 2224,49 kg/m3 and 2219,39 kg/m3 for 28 days, and variations of peat water mixtures immersed in peat water for seven days are 2202,50 kg/m3 and 2191,08 kg/m3 for 28 days. The decrease in volume weight occurs in variations immersed in peat water. The results of porosity testing on 7-day and 28-day concrete age variations of peat water mixtures immersed in peat water are 9,94% and 10,78%, variations of clean water mixtures immersed in peat water are 9,84% and 10,28%, and variations of clean water mixtures immersed in clean water are 9,73% and 8,70%. The SEM test results show the surface shape of concrete using a magnification of 1000x, more pores on variations of peat water mixtures immersed in peat water, and variations of clean water mixtures immersed in peat water have uneven surfaces and pores. In contrast, variations of clean water mixtures immersed in clean water have better surfaces. The additive used can work well with peat water and clean water.

Abstract

Anti-washout concrete (AWC) is a specialized cement-based material designed to be applied directly in underwater environments, maintain mix integrity, and prevent material washout. AWC can. This research aims to evaluate the performance of anti-washout concrete in seawater environments containing chemical compounds aggressive to concrete, by examining the ability of concrete to withstand loads, resistance to washout, and structural stability when exposed to seawater environments. The test methods used included aggregate characteristics, slump flow, compressive strength, split tensile strength, and flexural strength at 7, 14, 28, and 56 days of concrete age. The results showed that concrete with fresh water (AB) had higher compressive, split tensile, and flexural strengths than concrete using artificial seawater (AL), with a decrease in compressive strength in AL against AB of 7.29% at 14 days, 11.20% at 28 days, and 12.69% at 56 days. AWC met the minimum compressive strength requirement of 70% of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE) standard, indicating that AWC with artificial seawater remains viable for underwater construction applications. This study's results are expected to guide the use of anti-washout concrete for various underwater applications, particularly to improve durability and reduce long-term maintenance costs for underwater infrastructure.
