Abstract

This study aims to explain the role of women leaders in local government, in this case Dusun 001, in carrying out leadership roles and trying to advance the welfare of the community. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative, and research data were collected through interviews, observation, and literature study. There were three informants in the study: Yustina Sumini (head of Dusun 001), Sumadi (community leader), and Aseni (head of the women farmer group). From the results of the study, it was found that female leaders can make a lot of contributions and are more effective at mobilizing citizens, especially women. Yustina Sumini's leadership belongs to the category of transforming entrepreneurial leadership type. This can be found in the elements led by Yustina Sumini in mobilizing and inviting mothers to engage in the creative economy to improve family welfare.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the Public Relations Strategy of PT Sari Melati Kencana in strengthening the Brand Image of Pizza Hut Bengkulu. This research uses PR Strategy theory which includes operational strategy, educational persuasive approach, social responsibility approach to public relations and PR, cooperative approach, and coordinative or integrative approach. And the type of research used is qualitative research. The results of this research show that PT Sari Melati Kencana's public relations in strengthening the brand image of Pizza Hut Bengkulu depicts a holistic and integrated effort. An operational strategy that prioritizes a social approach, a persuasive and educational approach that creates educational and persuasive communication, a public relations social responsibility approach that responds quickly to complaints and maintains product quality, a cooperative approach that fosters internal and external harmonious relationships, and a coordinative or integrative approach which makes a positive contribution to increasing community support, customer loyalty and strengthening a positive image. Overall, a PR strategy that includes these aspects has succeeded in having a positive impact on the image and popularity of Pizza Hut Bengkulu, creating positive relationships with customers and strengthening their position in the culinary industry.

Abstract

TikTok is a media to promote product at social media by using creative and interesting content. This research purpose is to find out TikTok as creative media by content creator in promoting product, this research is qualitative research. The theory which used in this research is about marketing mix according to Rangkuti (2009) which involves advertising, sales promotion, personal selling and direct marketing. The result of this research shows that TikTok as creative media by content creator. From TikTok account @enny_230221 who has succeeded in promoting corn ice product by using five marketing mix, the selling is by using content video. The user also active in responding the comment positively. The personal selling is conducted directly while selling the corn ice at the location. While the direct marketing, the user uses comment and direct message feature to communicate directly with audience. Marketing mix has been done by Eni Lestari totally and succeed. It can be seen from the positive comment from customer can give positive influence such as increase the selling every day. The TikTok account @enny_230221 has implement marketing mix strategy very well.

Abstract

Song lyrics are verbal symbols created by humans. In expressing their experiences, songwriters play with words and language to create appeal and distinctiveness to their lyrics or verses (Awe, 2003:51). Twice's Feel Special depicts the importance of valuing oneself and finding happiness within oneself, without relying on the validation or recognition of others. It also describes feelings of doubt and uncertainty about one's worth. Therefore, the background explains that the song Feel Special has received many positive responses from fans and music critics. This Feel Special song remains relevant today because its message about self-worth is something that is relatable to many people. This song can be a source of strength and inspiration for those who are feeling a loss of confidence. This research uses a qualitative research method with van dijk's discourse analysis approach. This analysis focuses on the macro and micro structure of the song text, as well as the social context and social cognition. The results show that the lyrics of the song Feel Special contain the meaning of the importance of loving oneself and accepting one's shortcomings, as well as telling the story of a person who feels insecure and insecure, then he learns to become more confident. This message is conveyed through various discourse strategies, such as text, social cognition and social context. The meaning of this song can help its listeners to increase their self-confidence and self-acceptance.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the communication behavior of TikTok social media users, especially non-verbal communication behavior, especially among adolescents at SMPN 15 of South Bengkulu. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and observations of adolescents at SMPN 15 of South Bengkulu who use TikTok. This research uses communication theory according to Harold Dwight Lasswell. This theory suggests that a good way to explain the communication process is to answer five questions, namely: Who (who is the source), Says What (what is conveyed), In Which Channel (via what media), To Whom (who is the target), and With What Effect (what is the influence) 4. This theory can help identify the communication elements involved in using the TikTok application, as well as their impact on adolescent communication behavior. The results of the research show the Communication Behavior of TikTok Social Media Users at SMPN 15 of South Bengkulu, namely that they use TikTok social media because it is a trend nowadays. There are various interesting features on TikTok social media so that it can relieve the burden on your mind. Creating viral video content and sharing your own edits, educating TikTok social media users and channeling talents through TikTok social media, making TikTok social media a source of entertainment and information and what are the impacts of using TikTok social media, both positive and negative.

Abstract

Research purposes Indonesia, as an archipelagic country with vast cultural diversity, possesses various cultural heritages influenced by many civilizations. Traditional clothing, such as the kebaya, serves as an important symbol of local identity and culture. The film "Gadis Kretek," adapted from a novel by Ratih Kumala, depicts the social realities and struggles of women in the Javanese kretek industry, highlighting traditional kebaya attire as a central element. This research aims to examine the representation of the Javanese kebaya on women in the series "Gadis Kretek" through John Fiske's semiotic analysis. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through observation, documentation, and internet searching. The focus of this research is on the first episode of the series. Analysis is conducted on three levels: reality, representation, and ideology. At the reality level, the film portrays life from the colonial era to the independence period with the use of traditional costumes, realistic dialogues, and character behaviors. At the representation level, cinematic techniques such as narration, cinematography, and editing are utilized to construct this reality. At the ideological level, the film conveys values regarding the role of women in the industry, social critique of workers' conditions, and the importance of culture and tradition. The research findings indicate that the film "Gadis Kretek" not only presents an engaging story but also depicts historical realities, reinforces the narrative through cinematic elements, and delivers ideological messages about women's struggles and the significance of cultural heritage. This study is expected to provide insights into cultural representation in mass media and strengthen national cultural identity through the Javanese kebaya.

Abstract

Research purposes to find out how the sandwich generation communicates and how they manage finances among married couples in Bengkulu City. Data collection methods use interviews, observation and documentation. Financial needs are indeed important for everyone, especially for the sandwich generation. This generation has to bear financial burdens which are not only used to support themselves and their children but also with their parents. They need to know how to properly manage the sandwich generation's finances so they can achieve financial independence. The results obtained from this researcher found that the financial management of the sandwich generation can be differentiated based on their work in this research, namely the type of employee, trader, freelancer, to meet the financial needs of the three generations, they work together to manage their finances so that their expenses are balanced and not too heavy and they try as hard as possible. to seek to fulfill their needs in any circumstances by communicating well and openly with each other

Abstract

Cultural imitation is a form of adaptation or change in behavior and lifestyle that is reflected in a particular culture. In this context, the experience of imitation of Korean streetwear fashion culture among teenagers is an interesting phenomenon for further research. The concept of “Cultural Imitation” refers to the process by which individuals or groups imitate or adopt cultural aspects of another culture into their own lives. Korean Streetwear fashion carries Korean cultural values ​​that influence the character, values ​​and behavior of teenagers, so it needs to be analyzed in depth. The selection of this problem allows the exploration of psychological and sociological dimensions. From a psychological perspective, the research will highlight the influence of Korean streetwear fashion on teenagers' identity and self-concept. This research aims to determine the experience and impact of imitation of Korean streetwear fashion culture on teenagers in Indonesia. In this way, it is hoped that this research can contribute to an in-depth understanding of the role of media and culture in shaping the character and behavior of teenagers, and can be used as a basis for formulating policies that support the positive development of teenagers in this digital era. This research method is a qualitative descriptive approach chosen because this research aims to provide an in-depth and comprehensive picture of the experience of imitating Korean streetwear fashion culture among teenagers. The results of the research above explain that encouragement from oneself and support from the environment can strengthen and motivate someone to imitate Sashfir's fashion style. When there is more encouragement and support for Sashfir's fashion style that he wants to imitate, the stronger a person's desire to imitate that fashion will become. The source of the directing process itself is encouragement, it could be because he wants to imitate, it could also be that he sees people imitating and becomes interested, and there is also encouragement from the surrounding environment that supports him to imitate because he feels it is suitable to imitate Sashfir's fashion style because they think it suits his personality

Abstract

The method used in this research uses a qualitative approach. The research subjects in this study were the Head Office of Basarnas Bengkulu, the operations sub-section and Public Relations staff of Basarnas Bengkulu. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. This study aims to find out the News Accuracy technique by the Public Relations of Basarnas Bengkulu. This research focuses on news accuracy by the Public Relations of Basarnas Bengkulu in obtaining information related to a case/disaster. The results showed that the News Accuracy Technique by the Public Relations of Basarnas Bengkulu can be implemented by conducting Fact Verification and Eyewitnesses as follows: 1. Fact Verification is that the fact verification process is very important in ensuring the truth and reliability of information conveyed to the public. In the context of Basarnas operations, where the delivery of precise and accurate information can have a direct impact on the safety and security of the public, verification of facts becomes the main foundation in the preparation of news. 2. Eyewitnesses i.e. in the news delivery process direct testimony from individuals who were at the scene of the incident provides valuable perspectives and details that cannot be obtained from other sources. By considering eyewitness accounts, Basarnas can supplement the information they receive and ensure the accuracy of the news delivered to the public.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out what the experience of Ome TV users is among teenagers, especially students at SMPN 20 Bengkulu City. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and documentation. The technique for taking research informants uses Purposive Sampling. The results of the research show that the experience of Ome TV users among teenagers, especially students at SMPN 20 Bengkulu City, occurs in two phases, namely: Because of Motives or past motives, namely at this stage the students use the Ome TV Application because they have a high sense of fun and curiosity. try several interesting features such as random videos to chats and In Order Motive or future motifs, namely at this stage the student uses the Ome TV application as a place to express themselves, develop English language skills and increase relations or acquaintances to invite them to play online games. . In this research, it turns out that there are many things that can improve their abilities, including developing English language skills, they are more creative and they also find friends who share their hobby in playing online games. Behind this, the author also found negative things from the impact of using the Ome TV application on students at SMPN 20 Bengkulu City, such as a lack of socializing with their classmates and finding random vulgar videos through the Ome TV application media.
