Abstract

This study aims to implement the use of Think Pair Card media in improving the skills of reading yellow books at the Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Seputih Banyak, Central Lampung. Yellow books are classic literature that are one of the main sources in Islamic boarding school education, but students often have difficulty understanding them. Through the use of the Think Pair Card method, it is hoped that students can more easily understand the contents of the yellow books in an interactive and collaborative way. This study uses a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of the study indicate that the Think Pair Card method is effective in improving the skills of reading yellow books, where students are more active in discussing, able to identify problems better, and improve their understanding of the material. In addition, students feel more confident in expressing their opinions after discussing with their partners. Thus, the implementation of this Think Pair Card media can be used as an alternative method in learning in Islamic boarding schools to improve reading and understanding skills of yellow books.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the application of the Snowball Throwing learning method in Islamic religious education subjects in the classroom. The identification of the problem of this study is that learning is still centered on educators, educators have not been optimal in choosing the right learning method during the learning process. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis uses data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. To test the validity of the data, researchers use triangulation techniques and source triangulation. Based on the results of the analysis of researchers in this problem, the results of the study show that the application of the snowball throwing learning method in Islamic religious education subjects which in its application uses rolled paper can increase students' interest and understanding in learning, because this snowball throwing learning method creates a pleasant and not boring atmosphere. The implementation of the snowball throwing learning method includes 3 stages, namely, planning, implementation and assessment. Teacher planning such as preparing good lesson plans and materials to maximize when explaining the material to students in class. Implementation, students are formed into several groups of 5-6 people and write questions on blank paper then thrown to other students. Evaluation, namely enrichment and daily values.

Abstract

The focus of writing the text Values ​​at the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace is on the influence of modernization, liberalization, democracy, radicalism, terrorism, and other understandings that can result in discrimination against local cultural values. Thus, there is a need to understand historical heritage in the form of traditions and artifacts that contain philosophy or idioms related to Islamic values on local culture. This type of research is field research using a qualitative analysis study and a scientific approach to Islamic education anthropology. Sources of data are penghageng and courtiers of the Ngayogyakarta Palace. It is collecting data through non-participant observation, documentation, and interviews. The results of this study include: 1) Internalization of Islamic values ​​in the cultural ideas of the Ngayogyakarta Palace is shown through the elaboration of the Sultan's nobility title, which has the concept of prophetic leadership leader and the Sultan's responsibility to provide welfare and security for the people. 2) Internalization of Islamic values ​​in the cultural activities of the Ngayogyakarta Palace is shown through Islamic values ​​in the tradition Garebeg as a ceremony to Kanjeng Prophet Muhammad SAW to be able to get intercession on the last day through a ceremony carried out by sharing food with the people with the intention of the Sultan giving charity to the people. 3) Internalization of Islamic values ​​in the cultural works of the Ngayogyakarta Palace, which are reviewed through the palace building, the plants around the palace, and the layout of the Ngayogyakarta.
