Abstract

Wikileaks frenetic appearance as a hacker organization state documents and other important information becomes a new phenomenon of life in the current global communication. Certainly, the phenomenon is also not missed the attention of the mass media worldwide, including in Indonesia. Through this case appeared a few thoughts about the position of a topic that could affect the media policy. Abstract

Identity formation is often manifested in the image of the media. These conditions are rarely noticed by individuals whose involved. Consumers are unwittingly caught up in the ever-popular culture simulakra invited into the circle of capitalism. Nowadays, to distribute beauty products, such strong idealism concepts are needed, focusing on the potential consumer, to regain their trust, by implementing pseudo-advantage values. A real example is The Body Shop products are adept at carrying the issues go green and respect for indigenous peoples. As a consumer of beauty products, women's position and then also becomes brittle by the temptations of mass media advertising for the construction of the concept of beauty has been tailored to the needs of capitalism that led to the maximum benefit.

Abstract

As a form of puppet people development standard, Opera Van Java (OVJ) which aired on Trans 7 can be regarded as puppets of the grip of revolution on a large scale given the characteristics of the OVJ them is to use the Indonesian language and do not use master narratives. OVJ phenomenon is developing a play slapstick tradition of Mataram who first appears. If all this a play performed on the dimensions of verbal (words / sentences), in this OVJ also other aspects of the thematic core of which is actors, morality story, characterization of his characters, costumes, music, and even setting the stage. Opera Van Java turned into popular culture in the form of puppet people are loaded with innovation and reintepretation.

Abstract

This research was emerged by Centra Java Government policy which placed tourism sector as the second key sectors beside agriculture and industries. A kind of tourism force is by ecotourism wich environmentally responsible travel and visits to relatively undisturbed natural areas, in order to enjoy and appreciate nature and any accompanying cultural features, both past and present, that promote conservation, has low visitor impact, and provides for beneficially active socio-economic involvement of local population. Then, the strategic communication choose Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) to increase them. PRA is a participatory approach, new innovation method for improving efficacy and rapidity in data collection. Participatory method was interested the community in prepare the action program and developing the learning process forsolving the environment problems. Leading by Pamong Budaya as opinion leader, this strategic communication is a way tocreate an effective communication and automatically help rural community to increase their live by ecotourism.

Abstract

The logo analysis from  Faculty  of  Information Technology  and  Communication (FTIK) of Universitas Semarang in order to redesign logo and corporate identity design using logotype method is an effort to stimulate the faculty potentiality, by strengthening the brand image so that faculty is well-known in the future and would convince the society as social partner in organizing education quality. Redesign logo and corporate design is a research and development method which purpose at developing FTIK logo. The research uses Research and Development method. From the entire process of R&D development, eight steps are taken as follow: Potential and Problems of Data Collection, Product Design, Design Validation, Design Revision, Product Trial, Product Revision, Usage Trial, Mass Production. The process of redesigning the logo and faculty identity design refers to the vision and mission of the faculty so it can be implemented in creative concepts, communication strategies and application media.

Abstract

This study looks at how the disability presented in television talk shows program. It s important because the diffables in the media are often presented biased, causing misunderstandings. This can have an impact on the fulfillment of their rights by the government and also their social position. The use of representation theory to explain the process of media representation and interpret audience concepts using language. The analysis of research uses the Saussure semiotic method, because representation is closely related to the appearance of images, and other components, which are interrelated between markers and marked ones. The results showed that the media still placed disability as an object of inspiration, an object of pity should get a lot of appreciation in sports matches because of physical limitations. The media quickly found momentum to 'sell' disability stories that inspire. Achievement of disabilities is always related to money, not based on their rights.
