Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh varietas dan dosis pupuk organik granul terhadap keberhasilan okulasi pada tanaman jeruk telah dilaksanakan bulan Maret-Juli 2010. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama adalah varietas jeruk yang terdiri dari 2 macam yaitu varietas Keprok So E dan varietas Keprok Tejakula. Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk organik granul yang terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu: tanpa pupuk organik granul, pupuk organik granul 200 g, pupuk organik granul 400 g, dan pupuk organik granul 600 g, sehingga diperoleh 8 kombinasi perlakuan yang diulang tiga kali dan total percobaan adalah 24 unit percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varietas Keprok So E memberikan waktu mencapai 50% tumbuh tunas yang lebih baik. Pupuk organik granul dosis 200 g memberikan waktu mencapai 50% tumbuh tunas, persentase okulasi jadi, persentase bibit mati, panjang tunas, jumlah daun pada tunas, dan diameter tunas yang lebih baik dibanding dengan dosis lainnya. Terdapat interaksi antara perlakuan varietas dan takaran pupuk organik granul terhadap panjang tunas, jumlah daun pada tunas, dan diameter tunas okulasi 12 MSO. Key words: Okulasi, Keprok So E, Keprok Tejakula, Pupuk Organik.

Abstract

Research in experimental design was carried out to determine the proper storage period and packing material for maintaining the viability and vigour of sugar palm seedlings. This experiment used Split Plot in Completely Randomized Design. There were two factors were tested. The first factor was storage periods as the main plot, consisted of 7, 14 and 21 days. The second factor was packing materials as subplot, consisted of plastic bag, rice paper and rice paper+plastic bag. Each treatment used three replications. Data was analysed by using Analyses of Variance and differences between treatments were determined by HSD 5% test. Storage periods at 7, 14 and 21 days had an insignificant difference on the viability and vigour of sugar palm seedlings. Packing material from rice paper+plastic bag had a better water content, length of roots, germination rate and dry weight if compared to other packing materials. Packing material from plastic bag is more suitable for 7 days storage, rice paper for 7 and 14 days storage, and rice paper+plastic bag for 7, 14 and 21 days storage on the length of plumula. Key words: Palm, viability, vigour, storage, and packing material.

Abstract

Research on the effectivenes of the test biokompos ’’ Trichosubur Protect’’on the growth of the cacao plant seeds have been conducted from November 2015 through march 2016 at the cacao gardens hortus Botanicus ( Botanical Garden ) department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Tadulako University, Palu- Central Sulawesi. The objective is to determine the dose biokompos “ Trichosubur Protect “ which is effective against the growth of cacao seedlings. The study was designed in a compososition of the treament as fllows : P0 ( Basal medium without “ Trichosubur Protect “),P1 ( Basic medium + ’’ Trichosubur Protect “ 10 g), P2 ( basic medium + “ Trichosubur Protect “ 20 g), P3 ( Basic medium + “ Trichosubur Protect “ 30 g), P4 ( Basic medium + “ Trichosubur Protect” 40 g), P5 ( medium Ground + NPK 2 g). Basic media used in the form of a mixture of soil 19 kg + 1 kg of rice husk, put in a polybag 25 x 30 cm 13 kg as the planting of cacao. Parameters include observavation every week; seedling height (cm), number of leaves ( leaf),the girth (mm).observation at harvest inculude: Biomassa (g),leaf weight (g),the weight rod (g), root weight(g),and root dry weight (g). The result shwed that treament P4 ( basic + “ Trichosubur Protect “ 40 g) the treatment is more efeective when seen from the results of last observatoins covering, the everage 29,07 cm plant height, leaf number 40 strands, stem diameter 3,73 cm, weight of leaves at harvest time 12,03 g ( Moisture in the leaves 44,30 g ),weight at harvest stalks of 7,62 g( moisture in the trunk 56,30 g), root weight at harvest 5,93g ( Moisture at the root of 92,80 g), the weight of biomassa when harvested 27,22 g, 4,42 g dry weight of leaf, stem dry weight of 1,98 g, 8,06 g dry weight biomassa.
