Abstract

Socio-cultural shifts and environmental changes can cause changes in the composition of plants in the home garden. These changes may lead to the loss of uniquely valuable plants in the home garden. Therefore, this study aims to identify species and functions; diversity and similarity as well as the composition of home garden plants in three traditional Balinese tourism villages. The method used was a survey with observation data collection techniques, questionnaires, and interviews. There were a total of 90 samples of home gardens from three traditional tourism villages in Bali with different landscape characteristics, namely Tenganan Pegringsingan, Pengotan, and Julah villages. They were selected as survey locations to record plant diversity. The results of this study show that the plants in the home gardens of the three villages have the main function as ornaments plants. Plants in both Tenganan Pegringsingan and Julah Villages have a high diversity of species, while those in Penggotan Village are considered as the medium category. The differences in plant species in each location indicate that the owners’ culture also has an influence in addition to environmental factors

This study uses a survey method with descriptive and quantitative analysis data collection techniques using the KPI (Key Performance Index) method. The assessment of this study are divided into 4 (four) assessment indicators, which are : location, accessibility, vegetation and facilities. The results of the study shows that vegetation is the indicator with the highest rating and accessibility is the indicator with the lowest values. Overall, the selected city parks are quite friendly to the elderly, but several aspects need to be considered to make the parks more friendly to the elderly. Design of the Hospital Garden as a Healing Garden in Udayana Hospital for Heart Disease Patient. Heart disease is a disease with the highest risk of death in Indonesia. Healing heart disease can be done medically and can be done in an outdoor room with a healing garden which has cardiac therapy facilities in it to accelerate the healing process for patients and reduce patient stressors. So that environmental factors have an important role in the patient's healing process, but in reality the importance of the garden as a place of healing is ignored. In fact, a good garden design arrangement will help heal patients physically and non-physically. The purpose of this research is to produce a garden design concept that can support the healing of heart disease patients at Udayana Hospital. The concept applied to the hospital garden is the design concept of the healing garden Biomimicry. The research method used is a survey method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and literature study. The stages of the research carried out include inventory, analysis, synthesis, and design concept planning. The design concept is designed based on the needs of heart disease patients in their recovery period by paying attention to softscape and hardscape. The design concept of Biomimicry contains the philosophy of freedom, this is related to the space for physical movement, with freedom in physical movement, the healing process of heart disease patients will be faster physically and psychologically.
