Abstract

The process of spontaneous labor is sensitive to the oxytocin hormone that causes uterine smooth muscle contraction as a receptor for the start of labor. Dates contains source of carbohydrates are simple sugars, iron, potassium, selenium, calcium, and flavonoids. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of date’s extracts (Phoenix dactilifera L) to the oxytocin hormone day 19 of gestation age of mice (Mus musculus L). This experiment devide dose of date extract into four groups, group I : control (no treatment), group II: 3 dates (3.12 mg/kg), group III 5 dates (5.2 mg/kg), and group IV 7 dates (7.28 mg/kg) to the oxytocin hormone. The research method is done by extracting palm ajwa with methanol. Treat made orally at the age of 14-19 days gestation. Measurement of oxytocin levels using ELISA at the age of pregnancy 19 days, showed the average number of levels of the oxytocin hormone in group I in the amount of 126.494 ng / L, the second group is equal to 124.169 ng / L, group III amounting to 129.041 ng / L, and group IV is equal to 132.252 ng / L. Overall extract dates with various doses of the treatment led to increased levels of the oxytocin hormone in mice. However, these increases did not show a significant effect, although the hormones oxytocin on uterine tissue of mice kept rising.

Abstract

Background: Fig plants (Ficus carica L.) have phytochemical contents such as polyphenols, flavonoids, and anthocyanins which are relatively high. The content of this active compound can be used as an antioxidant and antibacterial. Objectif: The study aims to determine the antioxidant and antibacterial activity of methanol extracts fruit and leaves of fig (Ficus carica L.). Methods : DPPH method was carried out to determine the antioxidant fruit and leaves of fig (Ficus carica L.) by observing the change in colour of the test sample after incubation with DPPH solution using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 517 nm. The antibacterial test uses disc paper diffusion test to see the inhibition zone formed and continued with the MIC and MKC tests. Results : The antioxidant test results showed the IC50 values in methanol extracts of fig fruits were 13.402 ppm and 7.9875 ppm for fig leaves. From the IC50 value, both the fruit and fig leaves are classified into a solid antioxidant compound. The antibacterial test results showed that the highest inhibitory diameter was found at a 100% concentration of 28.5 mm. The quantitative antibacterial activity test showed that the methanol extract of fig fruit had a MIC value at a concentration of 80% and a MKC value at a concentration of 100%. The optimal strength as an antibacterial from fruit extracts and leaves is 100% concentration. Conclusion : The results showed the methanol extract of fig (Ficus carica L.) has potential as an antioxidant and antibacterial compound.Keyword : Antioxidant, Antibacterial , Fig Plants

Abstract

Abstrak : Labiopalastokizis merupakan kelainan kongenital yang paling sering terjadi. Labiopalastokizis adalah saluran yang tidak normal yang melewati langit – langit mulut yang menuju ke saluran udara di hidung. Prognosis dari Labiopalatoskisis ialah kelainan yang dapat disembuhkan. Labiopalastokisis disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, baik faktor genetik, teratogen ataupun faktor nutrisi dan faktor lingkungan. Penyembuhan kelainan labiopalastokisis dapat dilakukan dengan melakukan pembedahan menggunakan beberapa teknik pembedahan, antara lain Millard, Tennison, Barsky, dan juga Furlow. Penulisan ini bertujuan guna mengetahui keefektivan dari metode penanganan Labiopalastokisis dengan cara mengumpulkan data dari berbagai jurnal baik nasional ataupun internasional yang diperoleh melalui google dengan total jurnal yang direview sebanyak 10 jurnal. Dalam penanganan Labiopalastokisis metode yang dapat digunakan dalam pembedahan celah bibir unilateral menggunakan metode Millard, dan juga metode Tennison. Metode yang paling banyak dilakukan dalam penanganan celah unilateral ialah metode Millard. Pemilihan metode pembedahan dipilih berdasarkan jenis dari Labiopalastokisis. Setiap metode dinilai efektiv karena tidak ditemukan adanya gangguan dan juga infeksi pada pasien. Kata Kunci : Labiopalastokisis, Metode Millard, Metode Tennison, Metode Furlow, Metode Barsky Abstract : Labiopalastokizis is the most common congenital disorder. Labiopalastokizis is an abnormal channel that passes through the roof of the mouth to the airways in the nose. The prognosis of Labiopalatoskisis is a disorder that can be cured. Labiopalastokisis is caused by several factors, both genetic factors, teratogens or nutritional factors and environmental factors. Curing labiopalastokisis disorders can be done by performing surgery using several surgical techniques, including Millard, Tennison, Barsky, and Furlow. This writing aims to determine the effectiveness of the Labiopalastokisis handling method by collecting data from various journals both national and international obtained through Google with a total of 10 journals reviewed. In the treatment of Labiopalastoskisis the method that can be used in unilateral cleft lip surgery uses the Millard method, as well as the Tennison method. The most widely used method in handling unilateral gaps is the Millard method. The choice of surgical method is selected based on the type of Labiopalastokisis. Each method was assessed as effective because it did not find any interference or infection in the patient. Abstract

Various factors cause disharmony in the household. One of them is erectile dysfunction. This can be treated by providing aphrodisiacs and some minerals such as zinc to increase libido. One of the plants that contain zinc is pumpkin (Cucurbita morchata D ). This study was conducted to determine the differences in giving pumpkin skin, meat, and seed extracts to testosterone levels. This study uses a laboratory experimental research type. This study, using extract variables from the skin, meat and seeds of pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata D) and levels of the hormone testosterone. The sample used was male mice (Mus musculus) divided into control groups and three treatment groups. Data were analyzed using the One-way ANOVA statistical test.There were differences in testosterone levels in mice between the control group and the group of mice given extracts of meat, skin and seeds (p-value <0.05).The highest testosterone level in mice was in mice given pumpkin seed extract.

Abstract

Anak perempuan yang mengalami menarche (menstruasi pertama) pada usia yang muda merasa belum siap untuk menghadapi menstruasi pertamanya sehingga dapat menimbulkan dampak takut, bingung, minder, merasa tidak normal dan panik. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk optimalisasi pengetahuan tentang menstruasi pada siswa putri kelas 5 dan 6 di SDN Janti 1. Metode kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah dengan pendekatan PAR. Didapatkan hasil bahwa dari 89 siswa putri, terdapat 40 siswa putri (44,94%) yang sudah mendapatkan menstruasi. Siswa putri tersebut mengalami menarche pada usia 10 sampai dengan 12 tahun. Terdapat 22 siswa putri (55%) yang mengalami dismenorea dan belum mengetahui apa yang harus dilakukan apabila mengalami keluhan tersebut. Materi diberikan dengan media powerpoint dan video. Siswa putri kelas 5 dan 6 SDN Janti 1 aktif dalam kegiatan dengan memberikan pertanyaan-pertanyaan dan saling berbagi pengalaman.

Abstract

Ruthab dates are believed to have benefits for couples who want to have a descendant because it has phytoestrogen content that has an important role in the female uterine blood vessels that can increase fertility. Phytoestrogens have estrogenic activity that has similar structures with natural estrogens. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of fitoestrogen of  date palm fruit (Phoenix dactylifera L.) to synchronize the estrous cycle in mice (Mus Musculus L.). Animals try to use 24 Balb / C starbine female mice. The test material in the form of extract of dates is given orally at doses of 260 mg/kg BB, 780 mg/kg BB and 1820 mg/kg BB. Data were analyzed by simple linier regression test with 5% significance level. The results showed a significant influence between the control and treatment group (R = 0.767) so that it can be concluded that the effect is caused by the action phytoestrogens  hormones in the content of dates.

Abstract

Male reproductive ability ability has a linear correlation with libido and testosterone. Both are associated with various things main food consumption such as protein, vitamins and minerals. Aphrodisiac is an ingredient or drug that arouses sexual arousal or libido. Pumpkin is an example of food from plants with the highest content of zinc. This study was to determine whether there is a difference between the content of zinc on the peel, flesh and pumpkin seeds against sexual activity of mice. The experimental animals used were 24 male, group I mice as control group, Group II was grouped with pumpkin peel extract, Group III was grouped with extract of pumpkin flesh, Group IV was grouped with extract of pumpkin seeds. The dose used is 2gr / kg BB and volume of 0.2 ml is given for 35 days. Sexual Activity is observed every day by the position of male mice riding females. Based on Anova One Way test results showed there are differences in sexual activity mice males in each group (ρ 0.000). The difference of the result of the number of mounts indicated that the giving of yellow pumpkin extract had an effect on the increase of mating behavior of male mice. The group treated with the extract of pumpkin flesh showed the highest number of mice mounts (mean = 24,1667.Further research is needed to get a clearer picture of the composition of the pumpkin nutrients that indirectly affect fertility in men.

Abstract

Aspartame has a lower calorie rating than other sweeteners. for example, cyclamate, lactose, saccharin, fructose and maltosa. Although it has low calorie, aspartame have 60 times sweeter than sugar (sucrose). Induction of aspartame can cause elevated levels of blood glucose and damage to the pancreatic β cells of mice. The purpose of this study was to analyze the dosing of aspartame levels; 13 mg/Kg body weight, 39 mg/Kg and 78 mg/Kg and those effect to the levels of glucose, cholesterol and haemoglobin of female mice (Mus musculus). The methode of research laboratory experiments using a complete randomized design (RAL). This study was using 24 mice with 4 treatment groups. Mice were given aspartame during surgical treatment, mice were made to perform measurement of Hb levels, glucose levels and cholesterol levels of neonatal mice. Data analysis using the Kruskal Wallis because Gaussian data but not homogeneous. The results showed an increase in the levels of glucose and cholesterol levels, but statistically there is no difference in glucose levels (p = 0,087), Hb (p = 0,899) and cholesterol (p = 0,168) in mice (Mus musculus) who were given variations of the dose of aspartame.
