Abstract

During the process of learning to speak, students often encounter various challenges. Many students exhibit passivity in speaking lessons and lack confidence when speaking in front of the class due to limited vocabulary and a lack of conceptual understanding. The researcher aimed to determine whether the use of "Acting Play Scripts" (APS) in teaching speaking could improve students' speaking skills. The research problem focused on the effectiveness of teaching speaking through the APS technique for students in the English Department of PGRI University Palembang. The objective was to assess the effectiveness of the APS technique in enhancing students' speaking abilities. The study specifically concentrated on students' speaking proficiency in English and utilized a pre-experimental method with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The researcher selected a single class, namely the 5A class of fifth-semester students from the English Department, comprising 33 students. The findings revealed that the average score in the pre-test was 63.80, while the average score in the post-test was 71.51. The significance level was set at 5%, with a degree of freedom (df) of 32. The critical value of the t-table was 1.6938, and the t-obtained was 55.07. Therefore, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, indicating that teaching speaking through the APS technique was effective for students in the English Department of PGRI University Palembang. The APS technique resulted in improvements in students' speaking abilities, including their mean scores, their ability to express ideas using appropriate vocabulary and grammar, and their pronunciation development. The implementation of the APS technique in the speaking classroom exhibited strengths, such as increased student participation and enhanced speaking skills.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce teaching materials that are valid, practical and have potential effects for fifth grade elementary school students. This research uses the type of development research (research and development). The development model in this study refers to the ADDIE model which consists of the analyze stage, the design stage, the development stage, the implementation stage and the evaluation stage. The collection of research data was obtained from validation sheets, student response questionnaires and tests. The results of the study of teaching materials for writing short stories based on the savi approach for fifth grade students based on a team expert validation questionnaire assessing in terms of media appearance, presentation of material and use of language as a whole obtained a percentage score of 95, 8% with a very valid category and suitable for use at the trial stage. The results of the One To One questionnaire obtained a percentage score of 91.6% in the very practical category and the results of the Small Group questionnaire obtained a percentage score of 93.4% in the very practical category. Then the results of student tests using teaching materials obtained a percentage of 84.60% in the very effective potential category. Based on the results developed by the researcher it was concluded that the Development of Short Story Writing Teaching Materials Based on the Savi Approach (Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectualy) for Grade V Elementary School Students meets the valid, practical, potential effect criteria and is appropriate for use in the process of learning Indonesian short story material.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors that cause the level of difficulty in writing short stories in class V English at SD Negeri 06 Sungai Pinang and efforts to overcome them. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research with the research object being a small scope which is the focus of the research. Based on the description of the results of research analysis carried out in class V of SD Negeri 06 Sungai Pinang, from the results of observations it is known that class V students of SD Negeri 06 Sungai Pinang are still relatively low in writing short stories. This is caused by internal and external factors of students. Efforts made to overcome students' difficulties in writing short stories are by providing additional hours for students who have difficulty writing.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the field trip method on descriptive text writing skills in class IV students at SD Negeri 11 Warkuk South Ranau. The method used is experimental research with the type of research carried out in this research being Pre Experimental Design with the form of research design using One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study was all 37 class IV students. Meanwhile, the sample used in this research was 24 class IVA students. Based on the calculation results, the T-count value was 10.360 > T-table 1.71 in the T-test sample. with sig value. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, according to the basis for decision making in the paired sample T-test, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means that the use of the field trip method has an influence on the results of writing descriptive texts for class IV at SD Negeri 11 Warkuk South Ranau.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain whether class IV students at SDN 90 Palembang are able to improve their learning outcomes in Indonesian language proficiency through the usage of learning facilities. A pre-experimental approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed in this study. The sample method used in this study was non-probability sampling combined with a saturated sampling methodology, and the population consisted of all 24 class IV students at SDN 90 Palembang. The paired sample t-test is the analysis method employed in the study. The questionnaire instrument's t test analysis findings show that there areWith a significance level of 0.05 and a significant value of 0.000 (two tailed), the result is rejected and accepted since the significant value is less than 0.05 and 1.713. Concurrently, the hypothesis positing that the test questions on learning outcomes were significant (two-tailed) was rejected and accepted at a significance level of 0.05, since the significant value was 0.000 < 0.05 and 1.713. Thus, it can be said that class IV students at SD Negeri 90 Palembang are learning more Indonesian as a result of their use of the learning facilities.30,310 > t_(hitung ) t_(hitung ) 9,737 > t_(tabel ) H_0 H_a t_(tabel) H_0 H_a.

Abstract

Student creativity refers to the ability to create something new to provide knowledge in the learning process, such as writing narrative essays. This study aims to explain whether there is a relationship between the level of student creativity and the ability to write narrative essays of grade IV students of SDN 98 Palembang. This research uses correlation research method with quantitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the questionnaire of student creativity with a total score of 5 (8%) students in the moderately creative category, 29 (49%) students in the creative category, 25 (42%) students in the very creative category. The results of the narrative essay writing test show that 35 students scored above the average, which is 78. Many students have the ability to write narrative essays, namely 13 students are categorized as sufficient, 32 students are categorized as good, and 14 students are categorized as very good. Students are able to develop their creativity into a narrative essay. The results of the data show that there is a significant relationship between the level of student creativity and the ability to write narrative essays of grade IV students of State Elementary School 98 Palembang, which means accepting Ha and rejecting Ho. This research method is correlational, for further researchers can examine more deeply about the level of student creativity regarding writing skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how the project to raise the Pancasila student profile (p5) has affected the class IV pupils at SDN 10 Sungailiat's autonomous attitude.Quantitative experimental procedures are the research approach that is employed. Questionnaires are the method used in this study to collect data. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a posttest alone and a non-equivalent control group. The average posttest score for the control class is 51.37, whereas the experimental class's posttest score is 83.96, according to data processing results from the research. The sample is drawn from a population that is regularly distributed, according to the results of the normality test. The results of the homogeneity test demonstrate that each group's variance is the same, or homogeneous. The results of the independent sample t-test hypothesis test show nvalue of significance2-tailednamely 0.000 so Sig. 0,000< 0.05 with a value of tcount 35.217 and ttable 2.00575 so tcount > ttable. Thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means there is influenceproject to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students (p5) towards the independent attitude of class IV students at SDN 10 Sungailiat.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how the Pancasila student profile is implemented in forming the creative character of class IV students at SDN 54 Prabumulih. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The instruments used in this research were a list of interview questions and observations. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Pancasila student profile in forming the creative character of class IV students at SDN 54 Prabumulih is categorized as very good, it can be seen that the students in the class have very good creative character when learning takes place, students are able to express many ideas such as when working on something. project by making a product and producing a work in the form of a piggy bank, where the students proposed their idea by only putting a hole in the bottom of the piggy bank so that the piggy bank doesn't look like a piggy bank when displayed, then the students also asked a lot about things that were new or that hadn't been done yet. they understand, and students are able to come up with new expressions or solve a problem in a way that the teacher had not thought of.
