Abstract

This study aimed at finding out the main characters’ personality in the novel of Negeri Para Bedebah by Tere Liye based on Carl Gustav Jung’s psychoanalysis. The research method used qualitative with content analysis. Data were collected by inventorying Thomas's conversation based on Carl Gustav Jung's psychoanalytic personality characteristic. It consists of think extrovert, feels extrovert, sense extrovert, intuition extrovert, think introvert, feel introvert, sensitive introvert, and intuition introvert. The results revealed that the discovery of eight main characters’ personality. First, think extrovert is demonstrated by the ability of intellectual analysis of objective experience. Second, feel extrovert is found by responding emotionally to objective reality. Third, sense extrovert is the tendency of figures to analyze the situation. Fourth, intuition extrovert is seen by its character does not care about logic. Fifth, think introvert figure depiction looks inflexible, cold, judge, and cruel. Sixth, feel introvert showed by figures are selfish and unsympathetic. Seventh, sense introvert found the ability of the senses to give them subjective meaning. Eighth, intuition introvert is demonstrated by the figure closing in and keeping the distance from the others. In conclusion, the eight personality types can be found on the whole structure of an irregular novel story.

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research are: 1) To describe the process of  learning in recount text writing skill through quantum learning model by mind mapping technique, 2) To describe the increasing of recount text writing skill through quantum learning model by mind mapping technique. Design in this action research use three cycle. Data take from observation, test, and documentation. Data was analysis as descriptive quantitative. The result show that 1) Students activity in learning process have increased significantly from several cycle, 2) Writing skill of recount text students have significantly increasing after following quantum learning model by mind mapping technique. The means value that students got are; the first cycle is 66.93, the second cycle is 76.53, and the third cycle is 84.67%.Keyword: mind mapping, quantum learning, writing skill, recount text

Abstract

To develop a model of English language teaching materials based on a contextual approach. English learning in elementary school is the mastery and increase in the number and enrichment of vocabulary to support the mastery of the four English language skills, namely speaking, listening, reading and writing. This study uses mixed methods, research and development of teaching materials in research, adapted from the models of Borg and Gall and models of Dick, Carey and Carey. The four stages in this research are (1) the stage of research and information gathering, (2) the stage of draft development, (3) the stage of testing and product revision, (4) the stage of finalization and dissemination. The results of the research and development were obtained in the fifth grade English language teaching material model. Through a series of stages of developing instructional materials, a product of English language teaching materials for the fifth-grade elementary school was obtained based on a contextual approach that fulfills the characteristics of good teaching materials that can be used by fifth grade students throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims at obtaining data on improving English reading comprehension skill in Grade III, Labschool Primary School, Setiabudi, South Jakarta. The research subjects were the students of Grade III in the second semester of 2014/2015 school academic year. The research model used Kemmis and Mc. Taggard model covering planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data of reading comprehension evaluation showed that in the first cycle 55.5 % of the students gained >75 and in the second cycle 83.33 % of them gained >75. While based on the monitoring data, the activities of the teacher and the students were 55 % in the first meeting of the cycle I and increased to 85 % in the first meeting of the cycle II. Therefore, SQ4R method can improve English reading comprehension skill of the Grade III students in Labschool Primary School, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate whether the implementation of Bingo game can increase students’ mastery of English vocabulary at the 2nd grade students of Primary School of PGSD Laboratorium in Setiabudi South Jakarta. Using the model of Kemmis and McTaggart, this classroom action research was conducted in two cycles. The subject of this research were 20 students of the 2nd grade and the data were collected using test instrument to measure students’ level of vocabulary mastery. The observation sheet was also used to record the activities of the teacher and the students when they were playing bingo game. The result of this research shows a significant increase in vocabulary mastery score after the application of Bingo game.

Abstract

AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat ada atau tidak adanya hubungan antara sikap siswa, gaya belajar siswa, dan atau sikap dan gaya belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis deskriptif bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Atas, kelas 2 SMAN. 2 Kambowa, Sulawesi Tenggara dengan menggunakan sampel acak pada 30 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial untuk melihat korelasi di antara tiap variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) ada korelasi yang positif antara sikap siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris dengan koefisien korelasi 0,95. (2) ada korelasi yang positif antara gaya belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris dengan koefisien korelasi 0,86, dan (3) ada korelasi yang positif antara sikap siswa dan gaya belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris dengan koefisien korelasi ganda 0,95. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang positif antara sikap siswa dan gaya belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris baik sendiri maupun bersama-sama.Kata kunci: Sikap siswa, Gaya belajar siswa, dan Kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris AbstractThe objective of this research was to determine whether there are any relationship between students’ attitude, students’ learning style, and both students’ attitude and students’ learning style toward the competence of writing English. The research was conducted at Senior High School, class 2, at SMAN. 2 Kambowa, Southeast Sulawesi, and used random sampling with 30 students. The research used correlational quantitative method with descriptive and inferential analysis technique to see correlation between variables. The research results were (1) There is a positive correlation between students' attitude toward the competence of writing English with correlation coefficient 0,95. (2) There is a positive correlation between students' learning style toward the competence of writing English with correlation coefficient 0,86, and (3) There is a positive correlation between students’ attitude and learning style toward the competence of writing English with a double correlation coefficient 0.95. The result of the research concludes that there is a positive correlation between students’ attitude and learning style either individually or together to the the competence of writing English.Keywords: Students’ attitude, Students’ learning style, and Competence of writing English.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the character and characterization, plot, background, style of language, the point of view, theme and the mandate of Tere Liye's novel of Bidadari-Bidadari Surga. The method in this study is the content analysis of qualitative approach. Based on data analysis, the following results are summarized as follows: 1) The main character in Tere Liye's Novel of Bidadari-Bidadari Surga is Laisa, additional characters are Mamak, Babak, Dalimunte, Ikanuri, Wibisana, Yashinta. 2) The mixed flow, covering the situation Mother send Message to his children about the condition of the sickly Laisa, her mother sent to her children who message to he who received the first Message that Dalimunte, Ikanuri, Wibisana, and Yashintaberanjak adult, childhood continue to haunt them, climax that is Kak Laisa not yet married must pass by Dalimunte and his siblings. Dalimunte finally married after being forced by Kak Laisa. 3) The background consists of three sections, a backdrop of thirty-one backgrounds, a twenty-seven background setting, and a social setting that is a disgrace in the Lahambay Valley if an unmarried girl over the age of twenty. 4) The Language Style is the style of comparison, contradiction, and affirmation. 5) The third person's perspective "he" is omniscient and the point of view of "I" extra figure 6) The theme is the sincere sacrifice of a brother for the future of his younger brothers. 7) The mandate of this life must be lived with sincerity and full of gratitude for all that God has given. Abstract

Abstract This community dedication aims to provide virtual training assistance to elementary school teachers in the Kepulauan Seribu Regency of DKI Jakarta, which is done by providing training on the use of interactive multimedia learning based on text descriptions in learning to develop the ability of teachers to use learning media in class. Learning media includes everything that can channel messages, which can stimulate the thoughts, feelings, and willingness of students so that they can encourage the creation of a learning process in students. By using interactive multimedia based on text descriptions, it is hoped that a teacher should be able to be creative in teaching by involving the cognitive level of higher-thinking hierarchies that are implied from Bloom's Taxonomy. The method used in this mentoring activity is virtual training. The service material includes material related to making interactive multimedia based on text descriptions for language learning in elementary schools. The target audience for Community Service is the Primary School Teachers of the Thousand Islands Regency, DKI Jakarta Province. The program output targets are: 1) The teacher has insight and understanding of learning using interactive multimedia in the learning process. 2) Teachers are able to make learning tools including lesson plans, teaching materials, LKPD, learning media, and evaluation. 3) The teacher is able to carry out learning using interactive multimedia in the learning process. 4) The teacher is able to design a class with the application of Interactive Multimedia based on Text Description. Abstrak Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan pelatihan virtual kepada Guru-guru Sekolah Dasar Kabupaten Kepulauan Seribu provinsi DKI Jakarta, yang dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan pemanfaatan pembelajaran Multimedia Interaktif berbasis diskripsi teks dalam pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan kemampuan guru-guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran di kelas. Media pembelajaran meliputi segala sesuatu yang dapat menyalurkan pesan, yang dapat merangsang fikiran, perasaan, dan kemauan peserta didik sehingga dapat mendorong terciptanya proses belajar pada diri peserta didik. Dengan menggunakan multimedia interaktif berbasis diskripsi teks diharapkan seorang guru sebaiknya dalam mengajar dapat berkreasi dengan melibatkan level kognitif hierarki berpikir tinggi yang di canamkan dari Taksonomi Bloom, Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pendampingan ini adalah pelatihan dengan virtual. Materi pengabdian meliputi materi yang berkaitan dengan pembuatan multimedia interaktif berbasis diskripsi teks untuk pembelajaran bahasa di Sekolah Dasar. Khalayak sasaran Pengabdian kepada Masyaraka adalah Guru-guru Sekolah Dasar Kabupaten Kepulauan Seribu provinsi DKI Jakarta , Target luaran program adalah: 1) Guru mempunyai wawasan dan pemahaman tentang pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Multimedia Interaktif dalam proses pembelajaran. 2) Guru mampu membuat perangkat pembelajaran meliputi RPP, Bahan Ajar, LKPD, Media pembelajaran, dan evaluasi. 3) Guru mampu melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Multimedia interaktif dalam proses pembelajaran. 4) Guru mampu mendisain kelas dengan penerapan penggunaan Multimedia Interaktif berbasis Diskripsi Teks.

Abstract

Pemahaman guru tentang pembelajaran multikultural kurang sehingga diperlukan model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan litersi budaya siswa melalui kelas multikultural berbasis modul nusantara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisa perbandingan antara modul nusantara dan efikasi diri siswa sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran multikultural terhadap literasi budaya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Subjek penelitian adalah sekolah dasar kelas V di Kota Bekasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan anava dua jalan. Hasil penelitian mengemukakan bahwa kemampuan literasi budaya berdasarkan implementasi modul nusantara dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran multikultural membawa pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi budaya sebesar 45%. Kemampuan literasi budaya berdasarkan efikasi diri memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi budaya sebesar 31,7 %. Adanya interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan literasi budaya yang memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan dengan kemampuan literasi budaya sebesar 31,1%. Modul nusantara menggunakan model case study dengan efikasi diri tinggi interaksinya memiliki pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan Literasi Budaya siswa kelas V SD.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian pengembangan bertujuan menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) elektronik berbasis pendidikan karakter sebagai penunjang materi pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn). Metode yang digunakan Research & Development, model yang dikembangkan dengan menggunakan; Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, dan Evaluation (ADDIE). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Lebak Bulus 04 Pagi. Langkah-langkah dalam tahapan penelitian ini, 1) menganalisis kebutuhan penelitian, 2) perancangan produk, 3) mengembangkan produk, 4) uji coba peserta didik, dan 5) evaluasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan wawancara, dan kuesioner. Hasil uji coba pengembangan dievaluasi oleh ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa yang diperoleh dari nilai rata-rata sebesar 90,3%dengan kategori sangat baik, sedangkan hasil uji coba pengguna secara online menghasilkan nilai rata-rata 84,45%. Ini menunjukkan bahwa LKPD layak digunakan untuk pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan di kelas empat sekolah dasar.Kata Kunci: LKPD, Pendidikan Karakter, PPKn AbstractDevelopment research aims to produce a student worksheet of electronic-based character education as well as supporting the learning materials Pancasila and Citizenship Education. Methods used in Research & Development, models are developed with the use of; Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). This research was conducted in elementary school Lebak Bulus 04 in the Morning. The steps in the stages of this research, 1) analyze the needs of the research, 2) product design, 3) develop the products, 4) trials of learners, and 5) evaluation. Data analysis techniques using interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the test development were evaluated by media experts, material experts, and linguists obtained from an average value of 90,3%with very good category, while the results of user testing online generate an average value 84,45%. This shows that the worksheet learners decent used for learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education in the fourth grade of primary school.Keywords: Student Worksheet, Character Education, Civic Education
