Abstract

The type of sea transportation in Indonesia is the ship, because the ship is an important means in the activities of relations between people from one island to another. Ships that have a Water Ballast Tank mounted on the side of the ship in order to make the ship balanced. In general, Water Ballast Tanks are installed in two different places, to maintain the balance of the ship by removing water through the side of the ship. Pipes as a means of disposing of sea water in the Ballast Tank. In the manufacture of Water Ballast Tank pipes, it is necessary to require a cutting process and appropriate material selection. The research on analyzing the corrosion rate on the pipe cutting results from oxy-acetylene-based cylindrical cutting tools against seawater objective to determine the appropriate materials.This research starts from formulating the problem researched by conducting a survey and searching for literature as a bibliography. The data analysis method used in this research is quantitative and qualitative descriptive statistics. Quantitative analysis technique is carried out by examining the data obtained from the experiment, and the results are made in tabular format and in the form of quantitative data displayed in graphic format.The sequence of the corrosion rate analysis process starts from cutting with an oxy-acetylene-based cylindrical object cutting tool, then cleaning from the crust, after that the initial weight and immersion process is carried out after lifting and weighing the final weight. The results of this corrosion rate analysis starting from cutting with oxy-acetylene-based cylindrical cutting tools, the results of the statement are that the farther the cutting distance on the galvanized material, the greater the corrosion rate and the closer the cutting distance on steel material, the greater the corrosion rate and on iron material. it can be concluded that the 7 mm cutting distance the corrosion rate is smaller than the 5 mm and 10 mm cutting distances.

Abstract

In the welding process, there are still some obstacles, such as the process is long and the results are not neat. In addition, a tool that can be used as a solder is needed which aims to support the repair process. To overcome this we need a tool with the best method, the author chose to develop a spot welding machine as the method. The spot welding design also combines stationary and portable types so that it can be used for purposes with different conditions. This design aims to find out the best design, control system, tool manufacturing process, and optimal operating method. Tool design begins with determining the design method. Design methods include: determining the theme, observation, Identification of Tool Requirements (Specifications), design concepts and design methods. The results of the design obtained tool specifications including: In the design of this spot welding machine using a MOT (Microwave Oven Transformer) transformer with a power of 1,215.35 Watt. So that the electric charge that flows on this machine for 10 seconds is 11,073 Joule. The control system used is based on a timer. The welding cable used is NYAF (fiber) type cable with 16mm. The arm drive system (JIG) uses a pressure cylinder mechanism that is actuated by a pedal. Inside the compression cylinder there is a spring with specifications 16mm, 15mm long with a wire diameter of 1.5mm which is used to generate welding pressure. The combination of the pedal mechanism and the spring obtained a pressure of 0.35 bar. The tool testing process is carried out by connecting a nickel plate that has a thickness of 0.5mm with a width of 5mm. The current given when the welding process is 390 Ampere with a pressure of 0.35 bar. Can be concluded; The best welding results occur in the time range between 4-6 seconds.

Abstract

In the manufacturing process, especially welding an object, there are still several obstacles, namely the quality of the welding results, besides depending on the welding work process it also depends on the selection of predetermined welding parameters so that the results obtained are very good. Therefore, every difference in welding speed is different as well as the results produced. So with the "stainless steel exhaust neck welding tool" it is hoped that it can help the welding process activities on the stainless steel exhaust neck. In the process, this tool still needs to be tested in terms that most affect the quality and productivity at rotational speed, it is necessary to carry out further studies related to this research. Therefore, the authors are interested in analyzing the variations in motor speed on the welding results on the tool. One way to analyze the welding results is to perform a tensile test for pipe welding with a diameter of 24mm and a thickness variation of 1mm and 1.2m, with variations in the welding speed of 3,4,5 mm/second. After getting the welding results, a tensile test is carried out to determine whether or not variations in motor speed are affected and to determine the maximum ability of the specimen to withstand loads which is commonly referred to as "Ultimate Tensile Strength" (UTS). From the tensile tests carried out, there was a decrease in the average value of the tensile stress for stainless steel pipe welding at a speed variation of 3 mm/second by 59.11 kg/mm2 to 53.53 kg/mm2 at a speed variation of 4 mm/second, as well as speed variation of 5mm/second which has an average tensile stress value of 45.13 kg/mm2. In other words, the variation of the welding speed of 3 mm/second is the ideal welding speed variation when the welding process uses a stainless steell exhaust neck.

Abstract

Dalam proses pemotongan harus memperhatikan cara pemotongan, cara pemeriksaan, material dan kecepatan potong berdasarkan material yang akan di potong. Banyak metode pemotongan yang memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan tersendiri, baik dalam pemotongan benda berbentuk plat atau silindris. Pada pemotongan pipa tebal dan benda silindris pejal, umumnya menggunakan mesin gergaji atau gerinda potong (cutting wheel). Dalam segi fungsi memang lebih instan, namun dari segi waktu dan hasil tidak lebih baik dari menggunakan pemotongan dengan metode oxy-acetylene. Salah satu cara untuk menganalisa hasil pemotongan adalah dengan cara melakukan pengujian kekerasan pipa besi dengan diameter 2 inch dan variasi ketebalan 2 mm dan 3 mm, pada variasi kecepatan pemotongan adalah 2 mm/detik dan 3 mm/detik. Setelah mendapatkan hasil pemotongan dilakukan pengujian kekerasan untuk mengetahui berpengaruh atau tidaknya variasi kecepatan terhadap hasil pemotongan. Hasil pengujian kekerasan mendapatkan nilai rata-rata kekerasan paling tinggi adalah specimen dengan variasi kecepatan 3 mm/detik dan ketebalan 3 mm yakni sebesar 81,8 kg/mm2 dan diikuti spesimen dengan variasi kecepatan 2 mm/detik dan ketebalan 3 mm dengan nilai 80,8 kg/mm2, dan nilai terendah pada spesimen dengan variasi kecepatan 2 mm/detik dan ketebalan 2 mm dengan nilai 71,5 kg/mm2

Abstract

Susu kedelai adalah minuman yang kaya nutrisi. Mengandung sumber protein, karbohidrat, gula serat dan lemak baik, kaya mineral dan vitamin yang bermanfaat bagi tubuh. Mulai dari anak kecil hingga orang dewasa menyukai minuman ini. Permintaan yang tinggi menjadikan minuman ini ada hampir di setiap daerah. Salah satu produsen sari kedelai yang merupakan industri kecil adalah Rahmah yang berada di wilayah Sidotopo Surabaya. Keunggulan produk sari kedelai Rahmah tidak menggunakan bahan pengawet pada proses produksi pembuatan sari kedelai. Kendala yang paling dominan UKM Sari Kedelai Rahmah adalah masalah teknologi produksi. Keterbatasan kapasitas peralatan, dimana proses produksi dilakukan secara konvensional. Proses yang paling berat adalah tahap pemecahan kedelai yang dengan cara memblender kedelai yang kapasitasnya kecil sehingga harus dilakukan berulangulang. Penambahan alat pembuatan mesin penggiling kedelai. Dengan penambahan mesin tersebut, maka kapasitas pemakaian mesin produksi untuk pembuatan sari kedelai akan semakin meningkat. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah Pembuatan alat penggiling kedelai. Untuk indikator kinerja adalah Publikasi Berita di media massa cetak atau online yang bukan terbitan Unesa. Video kegiatan yang diunggah di YouTube, serta Alat Teknologi Tepat Guna Mesin Penggiling Kedelai. Produktifitas alat yaitu 25 Kg/jam, lebih cepat 5 : 1 dibandingkan dengan konvensional yaitu 5 Kg/jam. Alat penggiling kedelai mempunyai spesifikasi rangka alat: P = 42 cm x L = 33 cm x T = 65 cm, menggunakan bahan baja stainless. Alat penggiling kedelai ini menghasilkan produk kedelai yang halus dengan kondisi yang merata, hal ini dikarenakan oleh tekanan yang diberikan oleh kedua batu gerinda secara merata.

Abstract

Abstrak: Dalam penelitian ini, mesin bor yang digunakan menggunakan sistem penggerak berupa pulley dan V-belt. Alasan penggunaan sistem penggerak ini adalah karena dianggap lebih praktis dan efisien dalam penggunaan dan pengerjaannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis putaran pulley V-belt pada mesin bor tipe LC-25A. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan mengkaji sampel tertentu. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen penelitian yang telah dirancang, dan analisis data dilakukan secara statistik atau kuantitatif. Hasil dalam penelitian ini diperoleh: (1) Motor listrik yang digunakan memiliki spesfikasi frekuensi 50 Hz, Kutub Magnet 4 pole, dan sistem kelistrikan ½ HP dengan memiliki kecepatan sebesar 1500 Rpm. (2) Panjang V-belt yang dipakai yaitu 1400mm. (3) Hasil dari perhitungan kecepatan transmisi pulley yaitu 1112,98 Rpm, 809,21 Rpm, 544,47 Rpm, dan 325,75 Rpm. (4) Hasil dari pengukuran kecepatan transmisi pulley dengan menggunakan tachometer sebesar 1372,6 Rpm; 1050,5 Rpm; 752,9 Rpm; dan 518,5 Rpm.   Abstract: In this research, the drilling machine used uses a drive system in the form of a pulley and V-belt. The reason for using this drive system is because it is considered more practical and efficient in use and workmanship. The purpose of this research is to analyze the rotation of the V-belt pulley on the LC-25A type drilling machine. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method that aims to explain and examine a particular sample. Data collection is done using research instruments that have been designed, and data analysis is done statistically or quantitatively. The results in this study were obtained: (1) The electric motor used has a frequency specification of 50 Hz, 4 pole magnetic pole, and ½ HP electrical system with a speed of 1500 Rpm. (2) The length of the v-belt used is 1400mm. (3) The results of the pulley transmission speed calculation are 1112.98 Rpm, 809.21 Rpm, 544.47 Rpm, and 325.75 Rpm. (4) The results of measuring pulley transmission speed using a tachometer are 1372.6 Rpm; 1050.5 Rpm; 752.9 Rpm; and 518.5 Rpm.

Abstract

Abstrak: Perkembangan zaman membutuhkan berbagai alat yang dapat memudahkan pekerjaan. Mesin sangrai kemiri semi otomatis merupakan salah satu alat yang adapat digunakan dalam memudahkan kegiatan memasak. Mesin sangrai kemiri lebih memperhatikan kualitas kemiri yang dihasilkan dan cocok untuk dijual dengan menjaga aroma, rasa, dan tekstur dari kemiri serta efisiensi waktu dalam penyangraian kemiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui desain dan kinerja dari mesin sangrai kemiri semi otomatis. Desain mesin sangrai kemiri semi otomatis memiliki RPM Input sebesar 2800 dan RPM output 56 yang dilengkapi dengan mata penyangrai menggunakan batang as besi mengikuti bentuk wajan, memiliki kapasitas sebesar 3 Kg, panas berasal dari kompor gas, menggunakan gearbox reducer, pulley pada motor dan pada gearbox yang dihubungan dengan v-belt. Berdasarkan desain yang telah dibuat didapatkan hasil yaitu mesin memiliki dimensi panjang 40 cm, lebar 40 cm, dan tinggi 90 cm dengan menggunakan material besi hollow berukuran 30 mm x 30 mm dengan tebal 1,5 mm dan menggunakan plat besi 2,5 mm. Wadah pengaduk menggunakan wajan berdiameter 38 cm, pengaduk terbuat dari batang as besi dengan radius 0,19 m dengan daya mesin sebesar 190,15 watt atau 0,225Hp dengan gaya total sebesar 109N. Setelah diuji coba kinerja mesin sangrai kemiri semi otomatis berjalan dengan putaran pengaduk dengan kecepatan liniear sebesar 0,8 m/s dan kecepatan anguler sebesar 0,24 rad/s.   Kata kunci: sangrai kemiri, mesin semi otomatis, rancang bangun, teknologi tepat guna.   Abstract: The development of the times requires a variety of tools that can facilitate work. semi-automatic candlenut roasting machine is a tool that can be used to facilitate cooking activities. Candlenut roasting machines pay more attention to the quality of candlenuts produced and are suitable for sale by maintaining the, taste and texture of the candlenuts as well as time efficiency in roasting the candlenuts. This study aims to determine the design and performance of a semi-automatic candlenut roasting machine. The design of a semi- automatic candlenut roasting machine has an input RPM 2800 and an output RPM 56 which is equipped with a roaster using an iron rod following frying pan, has a capacity of 3 Kg, heat flow comes from stove, uses a gearbox, pulleys on motor and on gearbox connected to v-belt. Based on the design that has been made, the results obtained are that the machine has dimensions of length 40 cm, width 40 cm, and height 90 cm using hollow iron measuring 30 mm x 30 mm with a thickness of 1.5 mm and using a 2.5 mm iron plate. the mixing a diameter of 38 cm, the stirrer is made of an iron axle rod with a radius of 0.19 m with an engine power of 190.15 watts or 0.225Hp with a total force of 109N. After testing the performance of the semi-automatic candlenut roasting machine running with a stirrer rotation with a linear speed of 0.8 m/s and an angular speed of 0.24 rad/s.   Keywords: candlenut roasting, semi-automatic machine, design and construction, appropriate technology.
