Abstract

Ecosystem imbalance results in the disruption of the bekantans survival as one of the endemic animals in Kalimantan. Bakut Island has become one of the natural tourist parks that serves as a place to protect and preserve the bekantan’s survival. bekantans will be protected when their environmental potential is sufficient and capable of providing their food needs, a habitat for their dwelling, and avoiding wild hunting. The purpose of this research is to assess the potential vegetation density, vegetation health, chlorophyll content, and nitrogen content on Bakut Island as a supporter of the bekantan's ecosystem. The research method involves calculating vegetation density index, vegetation health, chlorophyll, and nitrogen using the NDVI, NDRE, CI Green, and NDNI formulas. The research results showed a vegetation density index of 0,4 (very high), vegetation health of 0,32 (very high), chlorophyll content of 1,23 (very high), and nitrogen content of 0,11 (very high). Bakut Island has very high potential as a supporter of the bekantan's ecosystem for sustainability and survival. This is because Bakut Island's ecosystem has an abundance of food, good vegetation health, and a supportive habitat for reproduction. Therefore, this research implies a guideline for maintaining vegetation and habitat consistency to preserve the survival of Bekantans as endemic animals in Kalimantan.

Abstract

SMP Negeri 10 Banjarmasin has seen a growing demand for the implementation of the Adiwiyata program, which is aimed at achieving environmental preservation through harmony, beauty, and comfort. Educators faced a challenge in raising students' awareness about environmental care, but a research study was conducted to address this through eco-brick activities. The study involved a closed questionnaire and the average score calculation resulted in 51.58, indicating that waste management through the Eco-brick program has a positive impact on reducing, reusing, and recycling attitudes among students. The results clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of the Eco-brick program in increasing students' awareness and understanding of the importance of maintaining environmental sustainability. It is evident that the Adiwiyata program is crucial for the future of our planet, and initiatives like eco-brick activities can certainly contribute to achieving this goal.

Abstract

The environment is the residence of living things in carrying out their life activities, in human activities that are not normal to meet the needs of life will have a negative impact on the environment, environmental pollution is one of the impacts. Environmental Literacy is one of the strong relationships between the community and their environment today, seen from how people live together, with each other with every part of their environment wherever everyone is different to act well in their routine activities by using their understanding of the conditions around their homes. The application of the Adiwiyata program in the world of education is because in the world of education it is easier to learn and apply various sciences, norms and ethics in an effort to achieve development goals, one of the rational alternatives to integrate environmental education. The implementation of the Adiwiyata program at MA SMIP 1946 for 2 years still shows the reality that is running improperly. There are several things that become obstacles in the implementation of the Adiwiyata program at MA SMIP 1946. This study was conducted to obtain in-depth data and information about the level of environmental literacy ability of students in MA SMIP 1946. This study is quantitative descriptive and uses percentage averaging analysis to measure the level of environmental literacy ability. The level of environmental literacy ability of MA SMIP 1946 students is included in the very high category, namely with an average score percentage score of 86%. Students have the basics of ecological knowledge, have a sense of care and willingness to act and are able to apply their knowledge to plan appropriate actions in solving environmental problems.
