Abstract

ABSTRACT Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah Motivasi Pimpinan berperan positif Terhadap Kinerja Aparatur Pada Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Kabupaten Kutai Barat. Untuk mendapatkan data penulis melakukan penelitian tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Motivasi Pimpinan sangat berperan terhadap Kinerja Aparatur, dalam arti bahwa faktor Kinerja Aparatur Pada Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Kabupaten Kutai Barat dari bulan ke bulan bahkan dari tahun ke tahun mengalami perubahan yang meningkat. Hal ini diikuti pula oleh motivasi Pimpinan berfungsi sebagai variabel sebab.Untuk meningkatkan kinerja aparatur di samping faktor motivasi pimpinan maka faktor lain perlu mendapatkan perhatian sehingga kinerja aparatur Pada Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Kabupaten Kutai Barat dapat ditingkatkan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan koleksi umum yang tersedia di Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang; (2) mendeskripsikan tingkat keterpakaian koleksi umum di Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang dan; (3) memetakan kekuatan dan kelemahan koleksi umum yang dimiliki Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang. Target capaian dalam penelitian ini perpustakaan dapat mengetahui kesesuaian koleksi dengan kebutuhan pemustaka. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hal-hal sebagai berikut. (1) Koleksi umum yang tersedia di Perpustakaan UNP terdiri dari 46.101 judul dengan 224.694 eksemplar. (2) Tingkat keterpakaian koleksi umum di Perpustakaan UNP rata-rata perbulan adalah 4.998 eksemplar. Pemakain koleksi yang paling tinggi berdasarkan fakultas yaitu Fakultas Ilmu Sosial (FIS) sedangkan keterpakaian koleksi berdasarkan subjek koleksi yang paling banyak di manfaatkan adalah Ilmu sosial dengan jumlah 14.610 eksemplar. Dari data tersebut dapat di ketahui bahwa peminjaman koleksi umum masih rendah jika dibandingkan dengan jumlah koleksi yang tersedia dan jumlah mahasiswa UNP. (3) Kekuatan koleksi umum di Perpustakaan UNP berada pada subjek ilmu sosial dengan 15.160 judul dengan 81.501 eksemplar merupkan subjek inti koleksi Perpustakaan UNP. Kelemahan koleksi yang dimiliki perpustakaan UNP berdasarkan subjek yang sedikit dimiliki perpustakaan  yaitu subjek karya umum yang terdiri dari 1.503 judul dengan 6.524 eksemplar, kemudian diikuti oleh koleksi dengan subjek filsafat dan psikologi yang terdiri dari 1.859 judul dengan 8423 eksemplar dan subjek kesenian dan olah raga yang terdiri dari 1.770 judul dengan 9.573 eksemplar.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak dari pendidikan pemustaka terhadap layanan perpustakaan dan upaya yang dilakukan oleh pustakawan untuk pengguna perpustakaan seperti para mahasiswa yang menggunakan layanan perpustakaan di Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan variabel-variabel yang terdiri dari penggunaan layanan perpustakaan, apresiasi mahasiswa terhadap pendidikan pemustaka, dan pengaruh kunjungan terhadap pemanfaatan fasilitas perpustakaan. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari semua mahasiswa angkatan tahun 2012 dan telah menyelesaikan kegiatan pendidikan pemustaka. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel aksidental (accidental sampling) dengan asumsi bahwa sampel terdiri dari siapa saja yang secara kebetulan bertemu dengan peneliti di perpustakaan. Jika mahasiswa yang bertemu cocok dengan kriteria sampel maka digunakan sebagai sampel untuk sumber data. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, angket, wawancara, dan studi literature. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan dan penggunaan layanan perpustakaan, apresiasi mahasiswa terhadap pendidikan pemustaka dan pengaruh kunjungan terhadap pemanfaatan fasilitas perpustakaan berada dalam kategori baik dan sudah optimal.Kata kunci : User Education, Pelayanan Perpustakaan, Pengunjung Abstract. This study aims to determine the impact of user education on the use of library services and the efforts made by librarian to users such as students to use library services at Padang State University Library. The method used was a quantitative descriptive study, with of variables consisting of students' knowledge about the use of library services, students' appreciation for user education, and the influence of visits on the library facility utilization. The population in this study is the Padang State University students who entered college in 2012 and have completed  the  educational activities of the user education. The sample used is accidental sampling with the assumption that the accidental sampling is sampling technique  by coincidence, that anyone who, by chance, met with researcher can be used as a sample, if the person is found to match the time of determining the required sample as data source. Data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires, interviews, and literature. The data collected was presented in the form of tables that are easy to be read and interpreted. The results show that students' knowledge about the use of library services, students' appreciation for user education, and the influence of visits on the library facility utilization are all in the good category and have been optimized.Keywords: User Education, Library Services, Visits.

Abstract

Abstract        This research specifically aims to determine the role of leadership in encouraging organizations in implementing the principles of TQM in the Universitas Negeri PadangLibrary. Descriptive research method with qualitative approach. Data collection through observation, interview and document analysis. Subjects in this study are leaders, sub-heads, events, facts, documents and various forms of efforts, programs or library activities. The object of this research is leadership in TQM which is implemented in Universitas Negeri Padang Library. The results of research related to the role of leadership in the library of universities can be seen from (1) the leader develops the vision and sets the direction and strategy of the college library to produce the changes needed to achieve the vision; (2) the leader communicates the goals to be achieved through statements and deeds to anyone who may be required to give effect to the formation of a team that understands the vision and strategy of a college library; (3) leaders provide motivation for library librarians and librarians; and (4) the leader must be able to create the desired change of the user and is very useful for the progress of the college library through the provision of new services desired by the user and the new approach in working relationships that help the college libraries compete. Keywords: Total Quality Management, Leadership, Leadership Role AbstrakPenelitian ini secara khusus bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran kepemimpinan dalam mendorong organisasi dalam mengimplementasikan prinsip-prinsip TQM di Perpustakaan Universitas Negeri Padang. Metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan analisis dokumen. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah pimpinan, kepala sub bagian, kejadian, fakta, dokumen serta berbagai bentuk upaya, program atau kegiatan perpustakaan. Obyek dalam penelitian ini adalah kepemimpinan dalam  TQM yang dilaksanakan di Perpustakaan Negeri Padang. Hasil penelitian berkaitan dengan peran kepemimpinan di perpustakan perguruan tinggi dapat dilihat dari (1) pemimpin mengembangkan visi serta menetapkan arah dan strategi perpustakaan perguruan tinggi untuk menghasilkan perubahan-perubahan yang dibutuhkan agar mencapai visi; (2) pemimpin mengkomunikasikan tujuan yang ingin dicapai melalui pernyataan dan perbuatan kepada siapa saja yang mungkin diperlukan untuk memberikan pengaruhnya bagi pembentukan tim yang memahami visi dan strategi perpustakaan perguruan tinggi; (3) pemimpin memberikan motivasi bagi pustakawan dan staf perpustakaan; dan (4) pemimpin harus mampu menciptakan perubahan yang diinginkan pemustaka dan sangat berguna bagi kemajuan perpustakaan perguruan tinggi melalui penyediaan jasa layanan baru yang diinginkan pemustaka dan pendekatan baru dalam hubungan kerja yang membantu perpustakaan perguruan tinggi mampu bersaing. Kata Kunci: Total Quality Management, kepemimpinan, peran kepemimpinan

Abstract

Background of the study: TQM or commonly referred to as Total Quality Management organizational culture is focused on the achievement of quality and enhance sustainable manner through every activity of the organization.Purpose: This study specifically aims to: (1) determine the understanding of leadership and staff to the concepts of TQM in the Library of Padang State University (UNP); (2) obtain a picture of how the managerial based TQM activities undertaken to realize the quality of library services in the UNP.Method: This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data collection was done by interview, observation, and analyzing data.Findings: The subjects were leaders, heads of sub-section, the library staff, user, events, facts, documents and other forms of efforts, programs or activities of the library.Conclusion: The object of this research is carried out TQM system in the library of the UNP.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were: (1) describe the factors causing damage to the collection in Solok City Public Library, (2) describe what actions need to be done on the collections that have been damaged in Solok City Public Library. Types of research conducted included into qualitative research. The data was collected through observation and interviews. Based on the results of direct observation and interviews with library staff can be concluded, first, the cause of damage to library materials in the city's public library Solok are: (1) factors biota, the book caused damage by insects, termites, nerds, (2) physical factors, the effect of temperature and humidity, the effect of unfavorable light, and air pollution. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of writing this paper is to describe the making of comic library services in the Tanah Datar District Library and Library Office. Writing this paper using descriptive research methods. Data was collected based on interviews with 2 librarians by interacting directly with humans at the place of study. The study was conducted at the Tanah Datar District Public Library on October 21, 2019.Based on the previous discussion it can be concluded that the comic service at the Tanah Datar District Library and Archives Service can provide several benefits including: (1) can provide information to visitors about library services; (2) the librarian's assistant in giving and providing information in the library. The steps for making comic services in the Tanah Datar District Library and Archives Service are as follows: (1) preparing tools and materials; (2) determine ideas or ideas; (3) determine the theme or genre; (4) determining figures or figures; (5) making a story script; (6) explains the stages of making comics.Keywords: comics, services, library

Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the promotion strategies undertaken by the Library Hall of Languages ​​Padang. (2) describing the obstacles encountered in the promotion of Library Hall of Languages ​​Padang. (3) describe problem solving in the face of obstacles promotional Language Institute Library Padang. Data through observation and interviews with librarians Library Language Institute Padang. Data collection was done descriptively. Abstract

This paper discussed about the debtor records management system in PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Main Branch Office Padang. The purposes of this paper is (1) to describe how the debtor records management system in PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Main Branch Office Padang; (2) to describe some obstacles encountered by PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Main Branch Office Padang in the process of records management debtor; (3) to describe the efforts made to overcome the obstacles in the process of records management debtor in PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Main Branch Office Padang. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and intership activity. Based on the research results, we can conclude: First, archive storage systems debtors in PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Main Branch Office Padang using alphabetic system. Second, obstacles which are encountered, are (1) improper storage system; (2) infrastructure and maintenance of archive storage space is not optimal; (3) the absence of professional archivists. Third, the efforts which are being made to overcome the obstacles, are (1) improve storage system whch is used; (2) optimize storage space and archives maintenance, (3) the provision of professional archivists and providing training or education about filing for employees.Keyword: debtor; records; management

AbstractThe kind of research this is qualitative with the methods descriptive. Data was gathered through observation and conducting interviews with outstanding librarians and pemustaka for the local office of chancery and libraries the province of west sumatra .As well as by assistance material the manner it should be has to do with video. Writing in the papers were intended to discuss steps that video production profile of the library and libraries in the chancery. west sumatra provinceThis study seeks to describe the stages of making a video of the profile of the library and libraries in the chancery west sumatra province. Based on an analysis data can be concluded that stages in making video library profile as follows: first, production in pre the done before the video consisting of invention an idea or ideas, sinopsis, treatment, storyboard, shooting the script, production production planning and preparation. Second, and hold what production developed at the praproduksi.Third, pascaproduksi end in the process of producing the video before video ready to served.Keyword: video, library
