The purpose of writing this paper is to describe the process of collecting dissertation titles index (S3) annotated education period 2008-2012 at Padang State University Graduate Library. Datawere collected through observation and direct participation by collecting data directly from the original source. Analyzing data is done by descriptive. By analyzing the data, it was concluded that: the making of the title index is conducted on a dissertation that subjek education. Dissertation indexed taken from years 2008-2012, amounting to 29 titles. The process of creating an annotated index dissertation title starts with searching for information on a dissertation that will be indexed, selecting and classifying dissertation, recording data, making annotations, specify keywords, create indexes dissertations, and typed index. Dissertation titles index arranged alphabetically title, author index, and is equipped with a keyword index.

AbstractÂ This paper discusses the information down the proverbial-Minangkabau petitih in the form of E-book. The purpose of this paper is to describe the repackaging information adage-petitih Minangkabau. This Papper disscusses the making E-Service Library application for library management in SMA N 4 Solok city. This study describe how the application ofÂ E-Service Library service library management in SMA N 4 Solok city. Data collected through observation and ditect interviewÂ to the SMA N 4 Solok city library.Web based applications for library management are expected become a tools for digital library services in order not to missed the application of technology in the field academic in Senior High School. Application design of E-Service Library for library management SMA N 4 Solok City usedÂ three Software supporting applications such as Xampp version 3.2.2, Google chrome or mozilla firefox and Dreamweaver. This paper focuses on the factors that cause the occurrence of acts of vandalism at the office of Archives, Library and Documentation Padang. This study aims to reveal: (1) the factors that cause the occurrence of acts of vandalism at the office of Archives, Library and Documentation Padang, (2) the steps that must be done to tackle vandalism librarian to the collection in the Archives, Library and Documentation Padang. Data were collected through observation and interviews with librarians at the Office of Archives, Library and Documentation Padang. analyzing data descriptively. By analyzing the data, it was concluded the following. First, the factors that cause the occurrence of acts of vandalism due to the factor of user and factors of librarians. Factors include lack of awareness of user in using library collections, disappointment user to services librarians, collection of interest and age user mostly teenage boys who are the cause of vandalism in the Archives, Library and Documentation in the city of Padang. While factors include the lack of supervision of the librarian librarians to user and library collections, less specifically rule libraries, librarians are less professional and lack the security of the library. Second, ways of coping with the increasing acts of vandalism that electronic security systems such as the installation of matric sensors, alarm sensors, and CCTV. The socialization user awareness to keep the collection as user education, talk shows, workshops, seminars and training. Keywords: vandalism; library user; librarian

This paper focuses on the application of management functions in the management of the Library Tamansiswa SMK Padang. This study aims to reveal: (1) describe the application of management functions in the management of the library in the library Tamansiswa SMK Padang, (2) describe the implementation of activities in the management of library management functions in the library Tamansiswa SMK Padang, (3) describe the constraints in the implementation of management functions in the management of libraries in the library Tamansiswa SMK Padang. Based on the results of direct observation and interviews with library staff can be summarized as follows. First, the application management functions particularly in the processing of library materials in the library SMK Padang Tamansiswa not running optimally. Second, the activities in the application management functions particularly in the processing of library materials in the library Tamansiswa SMK Padang did not start well as penginventarisasian, classification and processing of library materials. Third, the absence of the constraints faced by human resources (HR) or personnel librarians who are experts in the library, in addition to the limited space in particular library reading room.

This paper discussed about the steps in making handbook of Eprints useÂ for for librarians at the Library of Dharma Andalas University in Padang. The aim of this paper is to describe how to make handbook of Eprints use for librarians at the Library of Dharma Andalas University, Padang. The method used in this paper is descriptive, the retrieval of data is collected by two ways, namely observation and direct interview. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the steps in making handbook of Eprints use for librarians at Library of Dharma Andalas University, as follow: (a) needs analysis, the author interviews the librarians at the Library of Dharma Andalas University to obtain the information as what book that the librarian wants, so that the product will be in accordance with librariansâ€™ needs and it can attract the librarians to read it; (b) the design of products, the author made the design of product and its parts in the handbook, in the form of a chart; (c) making of the product, after the author made the design, the next step is making the products based on librariansâ€™ needs at Library of Dharma Andalas University.There are two steps being taken to make the product. First, collecting the data and information through interviews and observation directly. Second, making a framework for writing that contains the basic provisions of a topic that should be developed.Keywords: Eprints Program; Handbook of Eprints use

This paper discusses the making of statistical journal annotated index of financial economics at the Library of West Sumatra Indonesia Bank Office of West Sumatra Province. This paper aims to describe the manufacturing index statistics annotated journals of Financial Economics West Sumatra to make it easier to find back the information needed at any time. Data analysis used descriptive method. Data were collected through observation or direct research at the Library of Bank Indonesia Representative Office of West Sumatra Province. From the analysis of data through observation and direct research, collected a total of 12 collections. Based on analyzing the data, it can be concluded that the measures in the manufacturing index annotated as follows: (a) the initial observation of the collection; (b) the selection of the collection will be indexed; (c) recording the description of the collection; (d) creation of annotations; (e) determine the keywords; (f) index creation; (g) the preparation of the index; (h) typing index.Â Keyword: Index, film, statistical, enonomics.

This paper discusses the Annotated Bibliography Making Special Issue Government in the Library and Archives of West Sumatra Province. This study aims to help users and librarians in making information retrieval using a means of controlling the form of a bibliography. Interest authors describe the manufacture khususi annotated bibliography Government Publications in the Library and Archives of West Sumatra Province. Writing this paper uses descriptive method. Data obtained from the collection directly, which is looking for the physical form in the library collection. The object of research is a special issue of the Government in the form of books as many as 70 titles. Based on data analysis, summarized things as follows: (1) the determination of title to consider the following matters: (a) tersediannya special collection of government publications, (b) the need for the library collection by pemustaka, (c) the need for documentation that includes the collection, processing and storage of information on a particular field of study. (2) the collection of library materials or information retrieval, (3) the selection of library materials, (4) grouping or calcification, (5) the keyword generation, (6) index, (7) typing the manuscript bibliography by using the writing APA (American Psycology Association, and the stage (8) manufacture bibliography is an examination of the final document which include inspection posts of errors in spelling and punctuation, suitability shortening and reversal of the author's name, writing in italics for the words of latin and magazine titles, completeness articles are used as material bibliography, index conformity with the referenced entry number, checking the layout of each piece of writing.Â Keyword: annotated bibliography, government publications, libraries

His paper aims to obtain a description of: (1) promotion strategies in Library Â Balai Bahasa West Sumatra province, (2) constraint promotion in the Library Balai Bahasa of West Sumatra Province. Data were collected by means of observation and interviews with librarians at the Library Balai Bahasa â€‹â€‹of West Sumatra Province. Analyzing data descriptively. Based on analysis of the discussion can be concluded that: Library Balai Bahasa of West Sumatera province in carrying out the promotion strategies have not been going well still have constraints, such strategies are: promotion expenditure strategy, the promotion mix strategies, strategy selection of promotional mix media, and ad copy strategies. This paper discussed about the account creation twitter, instagram and Blogs as media promotion at Dharma Andalas University Library. The purpose of this paper is to determine the steps to create twitter, instagram and Blogs as media promotion at Dharma Andalas University Library. The method used in this paper is descriptive method. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with the head of Dharma Andalas University Library and literature. Based on observations and interviews can be concluded that the Dharma Andalas University Library not do promotions through social media twitter, instagram and Blog. Based on the results, it can be concluded that social media twitter, instagram and Blogs can be used as promotional media library. As a promotional media library, the information displayed on the profile twitter, instagram and Blog is about the profile of the library. Such information is the name of the library, library addresses, opening hours of libraries and library slogan which is the hallmark of a library. Twitter and instagram Dharma Andalas University Library created to promote various activities to be and has been implemented by Dharma Andalas University library. Promotion via twitter and instagram to do with the upload photos and video with captions to describe an uploaded photo Blog Library Universias Dharma Andalas made to promote the library through activities that have already been made to write an article form a community in order to better introduce Dharma Andalas University Library to the public.Keyword: Promotion, Twitter, Instagram, Blog
