Abstract

The campaign to boycott pro-Israel goods emerged as a result of the enduring conflict between Israel and Palestine. This boycott initiative led to a decline in sales, which adversely impacted the livelihoods of employees, manifesting in diminished bonuses, salary reductions, and job terminations. Such actions elicited a variety of reactions from the public on platform X. This study seeks to categorize the sentiments of X users regarding the boycott of pro-Israel products by comparing the efficacy of Machine Learning algorithms, namely Support Vector Machine and Random Forest. To address the class imbalance within the dataset, this research employs the synthetic minority over-sampling technique (SMOTE). The dataset comprised 2,275 entries, gathered through web scraping methods on the X platform. The findings indicate that a majority of X users in Indonesia endorse the boycott movement, exhibiting a positive sentiment of 58%. The SVM algorithm, when combined with SMOTE, demonstrated the highest performance in sentiment classification, achieving an accuracy of 90.54%, whereas Random Forest attained an accuracy of only 83.1%. This research offers insights into the views of the Indonesian populace regarding the boycott of pro-Israel products.

Abstract

Current technological developments have also driven transformation in payment systems, one of which is through the implementation of a non-cash lifestyle digital wallet, such as DANA, an application used as a medium for storing and transacting electronic money via smartphone devices. Although the number of DANA users and transaction values ??have shown a significant increase, the adoption of technology does not always have a positive impact. There are still problems, one of which is that some users report delays in incoming balances. The success of implementing technological innovation is influenced by various factors, one of which can be measured using the Technology Readiness Index (TRI) instrument developed by Parasuraman. This study aims to identify factors that inhibit the use of DANA Digital Wallets in Indonesia. The results of the analysis using SPSS version 26 software show that the TRI value is at 3.00994 which is included in the moderate category, proving that the resulting influence is standard, with the highest value on the Discomfort variable (0.77892) and the lowest value on the Insecurity variable (0.72978).

Abstract

One of the benefits of advancing technology is its ability to serve as a medium for entertainment. The online game Mobile Legends has gained widespread popularity and attracts a broad audience, including university students. While playing Mobile Legends can offer cognitive stimulation, enjoyment, and entertainment, it can also lead to excessive addiction, which may negatively affect users’ mental health. This study applies a fuzzy logic approach, which processes input data through fuzzy rules involving fuzzification, fuzzy inference, and defuzzification. Three input variables are used: Playing Time, Emotional Level, and Stress Level, with a single output variable: Health Index, which reflects the user's mental health condition. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of the Mobile Legends online game on users’ mental health using fuzzy logic implemented in MATLAB. Based on the results, the manual Mamdani fuzzy analysis yielded a defuzzification result of 44.75. Meanwhile, using MATLAB Fuzzy Mamdani Toolbox (version 2023b) with input values of Playing Time (69), Emotional Level (68), and Stress Level (65) produced an output of 52.7. Both results fall within the fuzzy domain of “Agree” [40, 60, 80], indicating that prolonged playing time of Mobile Legends can influence players’ mental health.

Abstract

The accelerated global push for digitalized public services places immense pressure on government agencies to ensure the effectiveness and user acceptance of new information systems. This study critically investigates user satisfaction with the E-Kinerja application, a pivotal e-performance management system implemented at the Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Agency (BKPSDM) of Indragiri Hilir Regency. Utilizing the well-established End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model, encompassing content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness dimensions, this research employs a quantitative approach. Data were collected via questionnaires from 36 active users (total population) and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS. The findings reveal a nuanced and unexpected pattern of influence: only the Content (T-Statistic = 2.002, p<0.05) and Timeliness (T-Statistic = 2.433, p<0.05) dimensions significantly and positively impact user satisfaction. Crucially, Accuracy, Format, and Ease of Use did not exhibit a statistically significant influence. The model explained a substantial 76.7% of user satisfaction variance. This counter-intuitive outcome challenges generalized EUCS applicability in mandatory government contexts, suggesting that user priorities in public sector performance systems may uniquely emphasize core utility and promptness over aesthetic or perceived ease. These findings offer critical insights for public administrators prioritizing IT investments and contribute to refining the theoretical understanding of EUCS dynamics in specific organizational environments. Recommendations include prioritizing content quality and timely information delivery, while re-evaluating the perceived importance of other dimensions in similar government settings.
