Abstract

AMIK Mahaputra is one of the private computer colleges in the city of Pekanbaru. In increasing its resources, this university conducts performance appraisals of lecturers and employees. This performance assessment will form the basis of promotion. At present, the system in assessing its performance still has weaknesses, namely by improper lecturers or employees who occupy certain positions and positions. The purpose of this study is to later be able to make it easier to give a decision on the performance evaluation of lecturers and employees each year as part of the process of career development and promotion. The data obtained include the assessment of lecturers by students, the discipline of lecturers on giving lectures, the allocation of time by each lecturer and the method used is TOPSIS where this method is considered suitable for this research. and AMIK employees Mahaputra pekanbaru. Decision support system for evaluating the performance of lecturers and employees in promotion. Although the decision taken has been 74% but it has been recommended to assist the management of AMIK Mahaputra in making decisions.

Abstract

Vocational High School (SMK), every practice always requires supporting materials. When the demand for these practice materials coincides between departments, so schools have difficulty in fulfilling them. The purpose of processing data on borrowing practice materials is to optimally meet the practical needs of the department. The data that is processed in this study is the data on demand for practice materials, data on practice needs and data on supply of practice materials. The data is processed using the Monte Carlo method with testing using PHP programming. The results of this study are predictions of the optimal practice material needs in the TKJ department and the materials that are needed and the amount of practice materials needed. 97% accurate. So that this research is very helpful in predicting the material needs of practice, this research is very helpful for the school in improfing services for student praticum.

Abstract

Berdasarkan letak geografis, Provinsi Sumatera Barat memiliki banyak potensi wisata yang menarik untuk dikunjungi oleh wisatawan dalam negeri dan luar negeri, berdasarkan hal tersebut penulis tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian untuk memaksimalkan potensi-potensi tersebut. Dimana dilakukan dilakukan dengan metode SDLC (system development life cycle) untuk merancang sebuah website pariwisata berbasis website dan didukung oleh database MySQL. Melalui aplikasi sisem informasi wisata di Sumatera Barat berbasis WEB tersebut dapat membantu dinas pariwisata kota Padang dalam menfasilitasi masyarakat mengetahui info tempat wisata yang ada Sumatera Barat.

Abstract

This research was conducted to predict students dropping out of private universities, the student department needs to pay attention to students who have the potential to drop out so that they can be detected faster to make an approach with students so they don't drop out of college, with the help of data mining so that data -The data collected is useful information and with the C4.5 method so that predictions become accurate to detect students who have the potential to drop out of college. As for the results of this study, it is known that the most influential variable for students dropping out of college is marked by UKT Not Current Then Often Absent Then Gender Male whose graduation year is not recently graduated (not fresh graduate)

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian pada masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam mengolah limbah pelepah sawit menjadi pupuk kompos dan pakan ternak. Metode pengabdian yaitu workshop dan pelatihan. Mitra kegiatan pada pengabdian kepada masyarakat kosabangsa tahun 2023 ini adalah Kelompok Tani Bangkit dan BUMKep Maju Bersama Kepenghuluan Teluk Bano 1. Langkah kegiatan meliputi observasi, sosialisasi, implementasi dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mitra sebesar 66% dan peningkatan keterampilan sebesar 64,9 setelah dilakukan kegiatan. Keberlanjutan program kosabangsa perlu dilakukan dengan baik agar mitra dapat merasakan manfaat dari pelatihan pengelolaan limbah pelepah sawit dan menjadi unit usaha bagi desa Teluk Bano 1.

Abstract

This research aims to test the effectiveness of applying the Profile Matching method in determining community empowerment programs in Desa S1 Jati Baru. Desa S1 Jati Baru, a village in the Pagar Merbau sub-district of Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province, faces several development challenges. In this context, this research considers the Profile Matching method as a potential approach to formulate more relevant and sustainable empowerment programs. The study employs a qualitative approach involving in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with various stakeholders in Desa S1 Jati Baru. The collected data is then analyzed using content analysis methods to identify the community's needs, aspirations, and potential. The research findings indicate that the Profile Matching method provides a deeper understanding of the needs and aspirations of the Desa S1 Jati Baru community. Based on the generated profile, various empowerment programs that better match the community's characteristics and needs were identified, with the development of agricultural MSMEs emerging as the best option with the highest total score of 2.36. This program received high scores on core factors, indicating that it is highly suitable for the community's educational background, with most residents being vocational high school graduates, and has great potential to increase the village's income.

Abstract

The development of information technology is unavoidable. All aspects of human life require information technology. The use of information technology makes work easier to carry out. However, information technology also poses risks that can threaten the activities of an agency. The Pekanbaru College of Technology (STT) has implemented an Academic Information System (SIAKAD) to improve academic administration services, such as managing KRS, KHS, value input, schedules, and payments. Through interviews, it was identified possible risks that could disrupt business processes in the agency. The purpose of this study was to obtain an RPN (Risk Priority Number) value to provide recommendations for risk treatment in the Academic Information System (SIAKAD). The method used is ISO 31000 to measure the level of risk. The research stages include risk identification, risk analysis, calculation of RPN values, risk evaluation, and risk treatment. This research produces a level of risk from the highest to the lowest that can be used as a reference in the evaluation, treatment, and recommendations to overcome these risks.

Abstract

This research is important because public interest in the KIP Kuliah Scholarship continues to increase. However, many educational institutions still use manual selection which is prone to bias and less effective in data management. Therefore, a method is required to make the selection process more efficient; the K-Means and K-Nearest Neighbor methods are two data processing methods that have been proven effective in various applications, including in the field of data processing. In this study, the K-Means and K-Nearest Neighbor methods are used to select scholarship recipients to increase efficiency in the process. Based on the processing carried out, there were 1257 participants who were then grouped into three clusters: Cluster 0 with 739 data points, Cluster 1 with 290 data points, and Cluster 2 with 228 data points. Testing using the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm was carried out by evaluating the appropriate k values, specifically 27, 31, 35, 41, 45, and expanded to 185 to obtain the optimal value, namely K-155 and produced as many as 155 people who were deemed worthy and qualified according to the specified criteria. The combination of K-Means and K-NN algorithms resulted in an accuracy of 89.72% accomplished in 16 seconds. This combo can recognize data with excellent accuracy in a fast time while minimizing errors. The test results suggest that this technique is effective in selecting applicants based on the criteria and quotas established, thus it can be used as a guideline for future selection.
